🛒6 Best Salicylic Acid Skincare Products for Your Shopping List

Jun. 28, 2020
If you’ve discovered the amazing benefits of Salicylic acid, then you’re likely ready to get some in your hands ASAP. To help, I’ve rounded up the 6 best skincare products containing high levels of Salicylic acid for all budgets!
It’s easy to become overwhelmed with all of the cosmetic jargon we’re exposed to nowadays, but one ingredient that keeps coming up in skincare conversations is Salicylic acid. Why?
Because it’s a natural ingredient that helps keep skin clear of dead skin cells and acne. It helps reduce excess oil and improve the evenness of your skin tone. It has gentle exfoliating qualities, which makes it suitable for even sensitive skin. And, to top this all off, it’s actually closely related to acetylsalicylic acid, aka aspirin, so it has anti-inflammatory qualities too.
Salicylic acid not only helps to alleviate our skincare issues, but it also assists other skincare products to penetrate deeper, which means our other products can work better, and our skin feels softer. Wow, right? If you’re anything like us, you’re shaking your purse and shouting, “take my money!” But which product should you buy?
Here are 6 of the best salicylic acid skincare products for your shopping list.
Neutrogena’s Oil-Free Acne Face Wash
Don’t be scared off by the “acne” in the name if you don’t suffer from severe blemishes – it’s just marketing one of Salicylic acid’s best qualities, and, when it comes to treating blemishes, a simple salicylic acid face wash can do wonders.
Neutrogena’s Oil-Free Acne Face Wash ticks a lot of boxes; it’s an effective product, gently cleanses pores and contains a high percentage of Salicylic acid. Because it’s a simple Neutrogena face wash, you’ll likely find anywhere you normally buy your skincare. It’s also budget-friendly, too, at a mere $5!
U.F.O Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil
U.F.O Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil is another popular choice. Created specifically for acne-prone skin, this product is absorbed by the skin, leaving skin smooth and clear of blemishes and blackheads. This formula contains 1.5% Salicylic Acid, Tea Tree Oil, and Black Cumin Seed Oil.
The blend in this product is designed to clear blocked pores, with the addition of Hexylresorcinol and Liquorice Root to brighten any hyperpigmentation, such as acne scarring. The skin will be nourished by Milk Thistle and Cucumber Seed Oil to reduce signs of aging. This is a great choice if you want to stick to all-natural products.
Skin Laundry Acne Face Wash
Skin Laundry Acne Face Wash contains a high percentage of Salicylic acid, as well as Willow Bark extract. Willow bark extract makes a great pairing for Salicylic acid, as it minimizes pores, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, all the while protecting skin from environmental stressors like pollution and excessive sun exposure.
This product exfoliates the skin, eliminating clogged pores and removing dirt, with lilac stem cells calming inflamed skin by controlling overactive sebum production (which is what causes a build-up of impurities and results in pimples). Perfect for super sensitive skin.
Mario Badescu’s Drying Lotion
To tackle blemishes, Mario Badescu’s Drying Lotion is revered as one of the best. Simply dip a cotton wool bud into the pink solution and dab it on to any blemishes. This will dry in about 10 seconds, will become chalky, and flake off the skin. It’s easy to use, well-received, and it’s very reasonably priced, ranging from $14 to $18 online. And as a bonus for those with the animals in mind, it’s cruelty-free and vegan too!
Boscia Resurfacing Treatment Toner
Another vegan product, Boscia Resurfacing Treatment Toner, is a great replacement for your toner. With a 20% Salicylic acid complex, this product is designed to clear all dead skin cells and minimize the appearance of pores. With apple cider vinegar, the appearance of wrinkles and tones is reduced, giving an instantly smooth, younger-looking complexion. It also contains quite an impressive number of anti-inflammatory ingredients such as Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice and Jojoba Seed extract.
COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid
Another product made with a base of willow bark water, COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid is another well-reviewed product. This product pairs Salicylic acid with Niacinamide, an antioxidant, which is also known as vitamin B3 or nicotinic acid. The two are a powerful combination in fighting acne and breakouts, as well as being anti-aging. It is also cited as being suitable for all skin types. A truly versatile product!
Salicylic acid has been proven to be a safe and efficacious peeling agent, helping to treat acne and sun damage. There are countless products out there, all of which promise to rid you of your acne and blemishes. But what’s important to remember is that you know your own skin – each person has a different genetic makeup, and not every product will have the same effect. Before using a new product, it’s always a good idea to do some research on your own skin type, and consult a dermatologist, particularly if you are prone to sensitive skin.

Black Owned Intimate Care ✨🌹
I did a review on this brand before but in honor of BHM I def had to bring it up again ! #Saltxo - Yoni Shower Gel[products]#[FiveStars] #Saltxo - Femme Rejuv Oil[products]#[FiveStars] I use this gel everyday! It leaves my Yoni energized and clean. I’ve never experienced any irritation and I’m extremely sensitive in that area. It smells very herbal like and a little goes a long way! ($17.99) The Femme Rejuv Oil is a great staple for irritation. I use this baby after my waxes, Emergency shaves, and after getting busy. I find this to be the best oil I’ve ever used down there. A little goes a long way. ($30) This brand is usually always out of stock! She sells out so fast but I always manage to get one thing. I definitely recommend if you love intimate soaps . Do you have a favorite intimate soap ?

Wednesday Wellness 🙏🏾
Wednesday Wellness 🙏🏾
This past week has been rather hard and long for me. I ultimately decided to get back on track with my wellness plan. My main wellness goal for 2021, is to indulge in myself more. I definitely am a firm believe in “as within, so without”. I started my day with: #Four Sigmatic - Mushroom Elixir Mix with Chaga[products]#[FiveStars] I have been getting back into adaptogen and herbal medicine. What we put into our bodies is just as important as what goes on the outside. Adaptogens are apart of ancient medicinal traditions traced all over the world. I also drink Tulsi “Holy Basil” Tea. If you need a pick me up or emotional boost I highly recommend! SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil is my treatment of choice I used during the day. Do not be afraid to use salicylic acid during the day. I applied plenty of sunscreen afterwards as well! This is a GODSEND for clearing up acne and acne scarring. It’s by far the best acne treatment I’ve tried and its mostly due to the immediate results I get. This is a dry oil, so it should be used before a heavy moisturizer or sunscreen. THE BODY SHOP - Spa of the World Thai Makrut Lime Firming Oil is a staple in my night time routine. When I want to relax and really unwind I use a body roller with this oil. It smells like a fresh key lime pie and it’s so hydrating. This is great for firming, especially when paired with a body tool. What do you do for wellness?
Just added to skincare routine
Just added to skincare routine
I usually use some of the the tatcha dewy skin collection skincare, I just added this to the routine. Literally tatcha is the only thing that keeps my skin care at this moment. The dewy collection is great for dry skin but it is a bit pricey. The $12 face mask thoooo be hitting. Anybody else use this brand or want to use it?
Clear Hydrated Skin The Clean Way✨
Clear Hydrated Skin The Clean Way✨
Staying in the trend of clean beauty, I have found an amazing product to add to my everyday routine. Odacité SKINCARE - Blue Aura Cleansing Water This is a cleansing water that is marketed to use in place of your cleanser for a “quick” clean. When looking for a good cleansing water, you want one that is hydrating and gets your face clean. Keep in mind not all cleansing waters are designed to clean makeup (I highly recommend a cleansing balm and cleanser). About This Brand: ✨Vegan ✨Cruelty Free ✨Certified Organic ✨ NO: Fillers | Parabens | Nanoparticles | Petrochemicals | PEG | Synthetic perfumes | Dyes | Phenoxyethanol. This cleansing water is so hydrating and satisfying to use. It smells very fresh and a little goes a long way. What is very important to me is my dry spot aren’t tight or irritated. I have been using this day and night and have seen amazing results acne and skin barrier wise. I included this in my routine after a regular cleanser and before my serums. So essentially, I use this as a “toner”. I do this to clean up anything my cleanse left behind, or the cleanser itself. INGREDIENTS: ✨Tumeric: Amazing for hyperpigmentation and overall skin brightness ✨Holy Basil: I drink the tea and can vouch this is an amazing adaptogen that can overall benefit every aspect of your life. It combats aging and free radical damage. ✨Neem: great anti aging ingredient that helps protects your skin barrier. ✨Aloe Vera Juice: this is great for your skin barrier overall. It hydrated, protects and brightens. I highly recommend this cleansing water and it is on sale for $9 at Boxycharm Pop Up 🥰🥰
