this hair repair treatment saved my split ends!
this amazing hair mask was kindly gifted by Sol De Janeiro. You know that feeling when tranquility washes over you, you hear the crunchy waves crash onto the shore, you feel that cool breeze envelope your body like a blanket, and you can almost taste the salty air?
that’s how I felt using this hair mask. It felt like I was on a tropical island, sipping on pink lemonade.
no joke, after washing this mask off I immediately noticed that my split ends were repaired. It was like magic.
as somebody with major split ends and hair breakage, it literally felt like this mask was working voodoo on my head. i usually lose a lot of my hair, and my split ends look... well split. not with this mask.
it hydrated my hair like no other, and smelled SO SO SO amazing. it even made my hair much more manageable to detangle and style. def recommend, 10/10.
NEW Sephora Best Skin Ever Review
The Sephora best skin ever foundation just dropped and I am obsessed. I was gifted this product before it dropped and I have been able to test it out a few times. First off I am very impressed with this shade range, they did a great job creating colors for all skin tones and all undertones. I am the shade 35N. There are so many great things about this foundation. First off it’s very buildable and it feels light on the skin. The product claims to be medium coverage and long wearing and I definitely agree. I’ve worn this foundation for over eight hours and it still looked great. I would describe it as a soft matte finish. I don’t apply my foundation with sponges, only brushes, but it went on nice and smooth with a dense brush.
I love how this foundation is only $20, that is a great price for a quality foundation. If you are looking for a new foundation I would definitely recommend this one.
Moisturizers depending on skin type!
🚨Moisturizers depending on skin type!🚨The breakdown is pretty simple.
oily skin=lightweight
Dry skin=thicker/heavier consistency
Combo skin=not too thick/not too thin
Normal skin=preference really
Personally, I feel like having both a lightweight option and a thicker option available is handy. Because there are outside factors *like temperature* that play a role in deciding. For ex: when the weather gets a bit warmer I like to use a more lightweight gel-like moisturizer even though I am super dry.
All of these options are great, my newest obsession is tiger grass calming gel cream. It’s just been super soothing and smells great. My long time love is the jet lag mask. I’ve gone through way too many tubes of. But I ain’t mad about it.
What’s your fav moisturizer and why? Any questions? Ask away!
Slugging made EASY!
The idea of slugging? Totally amazing. But dipping your fingers in a Vaseline jar has always freaked me out.
These vaseline sticks have been gaining popularity on Tik Tok and I’m seeing them in Target for the first time EVER. However, some fellow beauty editor friends say this isn’t new and Vaseline has had these for awhile.
I’ve been really into diving into the differences between “Hydration” & “Moisture” so I’m really excited to do some mini slugging sessions with this guy. It’s also perfect for any dry areas on my body.

Tips from a derm for exercise induced acne
With a new year comes resolutions, many involving healthier lifestyles and exercise. So why let exercise induced acne hold you back from achieving these healthier choices. Exercising can cause excessive sweating-leading to increased oils, dirt, friction, and even bacteria on your skin leading to acne.
This can manifest as facial or truncal acne (think backne), often known as acne mechanica or folliculitis.
Cleansing properly is incredibly important for preventing exercise induced acne. It’s important to remove all makeup prior to working out. Gently shower with lukewarm water immediately after sweating. If a shower is not available, reach for a cleansing wipe.
Clean, loose-fitting moisture wicking attire is key. This helps prevent friction and additional bacteria and sweat from dirty clothing. In addition to wiping down all gym equipment, don’t forget about the stuff that hits your skin regularly such as headphones, watches, and headbands.
Most importantly, don’t forget sunscreen and gentle moisturizers.
