You’ve spent months of trotting around in the snow, dodging slush, and avoiding frost. The sun’s finally within reach now, and spring greets you on the horizon. Winter is almost gone, taking with it glum moods and dry, itchy skin. You’ve probably spent the first quarter of the year slathering serum on top of balms and oils, but with increased humidity and warmer air at hand, your skin may be in for a shock. How do you properly prepare your skin for the sunny season? Below are some steps to help you transition from winter to spring:Step #1: Change your moisturizerApplying generous amounts of thick cream may have saved your facial skin during winter, but springtime calls for different needs. Sticking to a thick cream moisturizer will prevent your skin from breathing, which could result in clogged pores and unavoidable breakouts. Look for a moisturizer with a thinner consistency instead, as your skin will need all the help it can get to regulate your body temperature (Hint: The process is done through your pores!). Ensure that it comes with SPF as well, especially since the sun will be up more frequently. If you’re exposed to the sun for longer periods, switch to a product with an SPF of 30 or higher. At night, a water gel cream will do your face more justice as it hydrates without leaving you feeling sticky and uncomfortable. Remember: To keep your skin truly hydrated and glowing, apply your moisturizer as soon as you get out of the bath—slightly damp skin will seal the water particles better Step #2: Stay hydratedsome text hereStep #3: Reduce your exfoliating sessionsThe power of exfoliation is undeniable, especially during the winter season. Dry, dead skin cells create chaos on otherwise healthy skin, as they clog your pores and prevent products from penetrating your skin. As soon as the weather gets warmer, however, there will be enough humidity in the air to keep your pores more open and receptive to skincare products. With this in mind, reduce your exfoliating sessions. With your pores already vulnerable, you risk causing small tears in your skin. Step #4: Lighten up on product useAs with your moisturizer choice, exchange those winter makeup staples to lighter products. Foundation may have been the best choice for winter, but use a tinted moisturizer or a BB cream for warmer temperatures. This allows your skin to breathe—remember that your pores are open, to anything of too much can easily clog them. If you can, go for an SPF tint or BB cream for maximum sun protection. Switch your matter cream lippies to tints and balms instead, and your powdered blush into stains. The best way to take care of your skin is to use less!ConclusionWhile the steps mentioned above are foolproof ways to a spring transition, there is no universal solution to address all skincare blues. Skin types vary and the way a product responds to an individual may not be the case for you. Use this as a guide, but remember to listen to your body! You know it better than anyone else. In our quest for smooth, stubble-free skin, ingrown hairs are an annoyance at best and cause for concern at worst (trust me- you don't want to see what they look like when they get infected)🤐 The cause of ingrown hairs isn't complicated. Simply put, when your hair starts to grow, sometimes it curls inward and gets trapped back under the surface of your skin. This can happen because dead skin cells clog up your hair follicle (so always, always exfoliate), but ingrowns also exist just because of your hair's natural growth pattern—so, unfortunately, those with curly hair may suffer the most! Aspirin-Honey Treatment This recipe is a double whammy. Not only does aspirin naturally contain salicylic acid, but honey also has antibacterial properties, which can help reduce the possibility of inflammation and infection. 🔎Ingredients: 3 uncoated aspirin tablets 1 tsp. honey 1/2 to 1 tsp. water or oil Directions: Add warm water or oil to a bowl Add honey Crush aspirin tablets Mix together Leave mask on for 10 minutes Wipe off entirely with warm water Coconut Oil Sugar Scrub Coconut oil, for example, is hydrating, keeps skin moisturized, and reduces inflammation.4 It's basically our winter skin savior. Mix it with raw sugar and you've got a winner. You can use this scrub daily until you see an improvement, and then you can switch to two to three times a week. Just be careful that the scrub isn't too abrasive. 🔎Ingredients: 1 cup of raw sugar 1/2 cup of coconut oil 10 drops of tea tree oil, or your preferred essential oil  Directions: Combine sugar and coconut oil in a bowl Add in essential oil Mix together Apply and then rinse using warm water Dry with a clean towel Baking Soda and Oatmeal Treatment I am huge fan of baking soda and how amazing this ingredient is! And rediciliously cheap. Baking soda, which is a great exfoliator, helps reduce and prevent ingrown hairs. Oatmeal has a soothing effect, reducing redness and irritation caused by exfoliation. 🔎Ingredients: 1 tbsp. baking soda 1 cup of water 1 tbsp. ground oatmeal Directions: Mix baking soda and oatmeal together Add water to the bowl Stir until it has a paste-like texture Using a cotton pad, scoop up the mixture Apply to the affected area and let sit for 10 minutes Rinse with warm water Oil-Based Serum if you're particularly sensitive, it's best to avoid overly harsh scrubs. Review time!!! I just received the entire Kylie Cosmetics Grinch Collection in the mail this week & I want to break down each product and tell you what I loved and didn’t love. Palette: I’m not one that reaches for tons of colour usually but all the greens in this palette are gorgeous! There’s a mix of matte and shimmer shades, and as usual, the shadows blend like a dream! The good thing about this palette is that there are still some neutral shades rather than just greens. I definitely appreciate the mixture of shades. Shadow Sticks: The Kylie shadow sticks are probably one of my favourite products they have ever released. They are so extremely pigmented, and so easy to apply. They’re basically fool proof, and they set as a shadow. If you haven’t tried them out, I highly suggest you do! In this collection we have a super pretty light shimmery green, light gold, and two rosy toned shadow sticks. Shimmer Eye Glazes: This product is insane. They are a super intensely pigmented eyeshadow that leaves the lids looking wet & dripping in glitter! One swipe of these on the lid is literally all you need for that intense shimmer. If you’re someone who loves super shimmery eyeshadow, I recommend giving the Kylie Cosmetics Shimmer Eye Glazes a try. This collection came with 2 shades: a minty turquoise green and a gold - & I’m obsessed and so happy to be adding these to my collection!! Olive Kyliner: My go to liquid liner is the black Kyliner, so i wasn’t surprised when i loved the easy application and long wearing quality of this olive Kyliner! The liner applies a lighter olive green and dries down to a deeper olive shade. It’s definitely not something I’d reach for everyday, although it’s definitely cute for the holidays or even for a pop of colour to a neutral eye! Blush: I am a huge fan of the Kylie Cosmetics Blushes as opposed to the other blushes I’ve tried from the brand this one had some shimmer in it! It’s quite similar to the NARS “orgasm” blush but with a stronger pink hue. I love the shimmer in it, it adds a pretty glow to the cheeks, perfect for the holidays.. or any day really :P Highlight: Def on theme, but probably my least favourite product in of the collection :( Don’t get me wrong, it’s super blinding and glowy. Although, once I applied to my face it showed off as very green. Personally I don’t want a green glow on my face! But hey, if that’s your vibe that’s cool! Definitely not a highlight I’d reach for everyday. Lip Kit: Obsessed. This red is EVERYTHING! This Lip Kit is one of the best reds I have ever tried. It has a matte finish and is extremely long wearing. I know it’s sold out but a similar shade would be “BOSS” by Kylie. Lipsticks: These shades are gorg for the holidays and I love the shade range! Long wearing & comfortable on the lips. High Glosses: Kylies high glosses are high shine, but very sticky! So if you’re not a fan of sticky glosses you won’t love these. These shades are perf for the holidays and everyday!

Hi guys!!! I’ve been so obsessed with this recently! Ponytails are my favorite when I’m running late! Putting a little braid in the ponytail makes it look so cute!! This takes me literally 5 minutes and I LOVE IT😍😍 HOW TO: -gather your hair into a ponytail -secure it with a hair tie -grab a little section of hair from the ponytail -section it into 3 parts -and braid all the way down! ☺️ ✨TIP✨(you can always add a couple more mini braids in the ponytail) I feel like that would be so cute! Hey Cherie Fam! 🍒 I finally received and unboxed my November BoxyCharm premium. For those unfamiliar with Boxycharm, it is a subscription service that gives you 5 full size make up products monthly. The base box comes with 5 items for 25 a month. If you want premium, it is 35. You get 2-3 more items than the base box. I used the star ⭐️ of the show (or rather star of the box) which is Illamasqua artistry palette. This retails for $47 USD. This palette performs well. The mattes were not patchy and the shimmers were impactful. There’s quite a fall out so I recommend doing your eye first before complexion. Then I used DoC single block eyeshadow in the shade Night Sky. This is perfect for a cool toned Smokey eye look. I used this for a pop of blue on my lower lash. #Dose of Colors - Block Party[products]# The realher lip liners come in a duo. I love the packaging because it doesn’t require sharpening. The formula was so pigmented and creamy. I was pretty impressed to be honest. I received a pencil eyeliner from the same brand on my last box and I didn’t like it at all. The Too Faced canary diamond highlighter, Lilly Lashes triple x mascara and Alamar’s gloss are from the pop up. I got them 80% off retail price! I wasn’t a fan of the mascara at first, but after applying it with a lash primer, it was amazing. It lengthened, darkened, and gave me volume. The highlighter was okay. It’s pretty but it’s quite chunky. I’m more of a subtle, glow-from-within type of highlighter. If you’re a fan of blinding highlighters, this is for you. I am a huge fan of the packaging. The lip gloss is ok. I wouldn’t pay full price for it however.
