Five things you don’t know about OLAPLEX
1. Vegan and Cruelty-free hair treatment
Ethically sourced ingredients and made in California; OLAPLEX products are vegan and cruelty-free. This means that no animals are harmed or tested on in the process of making any OLAPLEX products. OLAPLEX has claimed that they have diverged from hiring third parties to test on animals on their behalf and they don’t sell any products in China (This is because animal testing is required by law). The entire OLAPLEX product line is vegan this means they are free of silicone, sulfates, peroxide, gluten, soy, and dairy. This also allowed them to create products which are non-toxic as they exclude Parabens, Phthalates, Colorants, 1 4 Dioxanes, Formaldehyde, Methylisothiazolinone, Toluene, Triclosan, SLS, SLES or ALS. These toxic ingredients are usually very harmful to the skin and your body.
2. Home treatments
OLAPLEX provides a variety of products which can be introduced into your hair routine to maximise the experience of any hair care at home and to ensure your hairs integrity. This means there is no need to go to hair salons for expensive treatments when you can do it at home. OLAPLEX No.3 works for any hair type or hair texture; you can use it once a week to ensure healthy hair growth and maintenance. Also, the use of OLAPLEX No.4 and No.5 Shampoo and Conditioner will help you to deep cleanse your scalp while still hydrating it. This is especially needed when the hair has been bleached and stripped of natural oils. By using these products, it will help you to hydrate, cleanse and rebuild bonds for any and every hair type.
3. Development of Olaplex
Dean Christal spent three years developing technology that protects hair from thermal and chemical treatments. The development of UV reactive silicone coating by two doctors that covers all medical implants has inspired Dean to attempt to modify this technology for hair. Dr Eric Pressly was involved in the process of developing Olaplex. He gave 100 ml of liquid to Dean which would cross-link sulfur hydrogen in the hair. Dean decided to perm a few hair swatches and then test this ingredient. By neutralising one with Hydrogen Peroxide and the other with OLAPLEX. The outcome of neutralization left Dean to revolutionize the industry as OLAPLEX left the hair undamaged and soft.
4. Who is OLAPLEX owned by?
OLAPLEX is owned by Advent International whose, the company have invested in more than 350 different companies around the world. Advent International specializes in 5 core sectors including Business & Financial Services; Healthcare; Industrial; Retail, Consumer & Leisure; and Technology, Media & Telecom. Advent International investment helped OLAPLEX to grow by Advent investing a large amount of money in the innovation of the product and global brand awareness.
5. How it works
Hair is made of keratin a protein. Cysteine is an amino acid which is important for making protein in this case keratin. Cysteine contains a sulfur atom which joins together to form a disulphide bond hence creating a link between two proteins. This means when hair is bleached, permed or heat-treated these bonds are broken on purpose to reshape the hair. The active ingredient in OLAPLEX is a compound called bis-aminopropyl diglycol dimaleate. This compound helps to protect hair when it is being treated with chemical or thermal products such as bleach. It helps to rebuild bonds which restores the damaged hair by repairing broken bonds; in other words, fusing the bonds in the hairs back together.
OLAPLEX, No. 3 Hair Perfector – This Olaplex can be used both at home and salon for dry, brittle, bleached hair and for anyone who frequently styles their tresses. It helps to rebuild whose broken bonds and give hair a natural shine. This product currently retails for $28.

Mineral Spring Water What is the price? $18.50CAD Where can you purchase? Shoppers Drug Mart, Rexall Pharmacy and online How long have I been using it for? I’ve been using thermal water for over two years, I started off using this product on my body and now still use it on my face What is my experience ? My experience with thermal water has been good, I suffer from eczema on both my body and face. It was hard finding products that wouldn’t irritate or cause a flare up. When that happened this product saved my skin and soothed it. At first I was not exactly sure how water would help my skin, but after doing research thermal waters are meant to have healing properties for the body and skin. What are my thoughts? This product is nothing short of amazing, you are able to use it for multiple areas and it lasts so long. The mist is super fine which makes it perfect for spraying on large or small spots, and pressing into the skin similar to how you apply a toner. Would I recommend to a friend? I would absolutely recommend this product to a friend or family or even someone looking to help soothe their skin but who doesn’t want to break the bank!! My overall rating? 5/5 Would I repurchase? I have and will continue to repurchase this product until I find something that exceeds how amazing this is! #CheriePartner
GRWM! New products and some old!
Hello everyone! I did another GRWM using some new and old products! First I started off with a primer. I used e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer I was actually really surprised by this. It reminded me of Tachas silk canvas primer. It went on smoothly and did a good job of blurring my skin. I will say though after I looked at my makeup in the mirror up close it did settle a bit into my pores and my creases and was pretty noticeable. Overall I think this is a good product and will work for people with smoother skin. e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer Then I used the elf concealer. I love this concealer. I’ve used it so many other times in my other videos. WINKY LUX - Diamond Powder Foundation Then I used the winky lux foundation. This actually went on so nicely and was super natural looking. I love how it’s so weightless and decreases shine. I would recommend this for people with oilier skin. the CRÈME shop - "Macro Brow" Angled Brow Pencil + Spooley Then i used macro brow. This is just to fill in the last bits of my eyebrow to look fuller. It’s easy to use and has a great price point. I just wish the pigment was a little easier to apply. You have to push so hard. RITUEL DE FILLE - Rare Light Crème Luminizer My favorite brand of highlighters ever. Just so pretty and pigmented. All natural and cruelty free. An amazing brand overall. 💞 fresh - Sugar Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15 I used a tinted fresh lip treatment. Love the way they hydrate and the subtle color it gives off. They also smell and taste really good 😂. Hope you enjoyed getting ready with me! Let me know if you have any questions about the products I used.
Is this sunscreen worth the hype?
There is 𝗻𝗼 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻 without 𝘀𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻. And, the 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 is the one that you will wear religiously. Is 𝗜𝗦𝗗𝗜𝗡 𝗘𝗿𝘆𝗳𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗮 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗨𝗹𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 tinted mineral sunscreen worth the hype? #Isdin - ISDIN Eryfotona Ageless Ultralight tinted mineral sunscreen[products]#[FourStars] Pros ☀️ 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 sunscreen aka physical blocker, thus broad spectrum ☀️ Contains 𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝘅𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀, though unclear of percent. May provide protection against blue light. ☀️ One of the few tinted moisturizers that blends in well in skin of color. The tint is so homogenous and nice that you can away with not applying foundation after. ☀️ Contains 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗹𝘆𝗮𝘀𝗲, an enzyme, that help repair damage caused by the sun. Not too thick or too thin, apply easily on the skin. ☀️ contains 𝗩𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻 𝗘, an antioxidant as well as moisturizing Cons 🥴 𝗢𝗶𝗹𝘆, would not recommend for oily skin 😱 $$$ 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲, it is definitely a splurge when there are comparable more frugal options out there.
