Beauty's Best Kept Secret is a Brand That's Been Around Since The 1940'sGeorgette Klinger feels like a new brand with a deep history. And the formulas work like a charm.

More often than not, a great story leads into products with great efficacy—after all, amazing skincare products don't just get created from thin air—they take trial, error, and passion. Cue Georgette Klinger, a brand with a deep history in beauty and skincare that has resurfaced in this new beauty world, reintroducing it's effective, natural products to Millennials and Gen-Z. What makes this beauty brand so great is that, while it feels new today, many of Georgette Klinger's philosophies are what changed the beauty and skincare industry into what we see today. Here are some ways Georgette Klinger revolutionized beauty, and why the brand is just as amazing today. Treating Skin As a Living OrganGeorgette Klinger was one of skincare's early pioneers and was most well-known between the 1940s and 1980s. One of her first revolutionary philosophies was to treat skin like the living organ that it is, instead of a canvas that needs covering (which is how it was being treated back then). This philosophy fueled her product formulations and helped shift the way skincare and beauty are viewed. The First Famous FacialistAfter opening up her first spa in New York City on Madison Avenue, Georgette Klinger quickly garnered a cult following. She promised spa-goers that ''[she] offers no miracles, no promises -- just clean skin''. Combined with her philosophy of treating skin like a living organ, and the nature-based skincare that she created in her kitchen, it was no surprise that people kept coming back for more and that she even started to attract star-clientele. Actresses from Hollywood would fly to NYC, just for a facial from Mrs. Klinger herself! Nature to NurtureGeorgette Klinger always looked to nature for the best skincare and all the products she used in her spa were made by her in her kitchen! With her gaining popularity in the beauty world, the next logical step became expansion. From her small spa and natural formulas, Georgette Klinger opened more spas in high profile places, like Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, eventually opening up a factory in New Jersey in the '80s to manufacture her skincare formulas to the masses. Georgette Klinger Today After years of popularity from 1940 to the 1990's, Georgette Klinger, the brand, slowly started to fade away. In 2004, Georgette Klinger, the pioneer, passed and the brand closed in it's entirety for around 10 years. After a 10-year hiatus, the brand's assets were purchased with a mission to revive Georgette Klinger's legacy and bring her skin-clearling formula's back into the modern world. "Today, armed with her formulas and common-sense approach to beautiful skin, we follow in our matriarch’s footsteps, offering the very best in natural, results-oriented skin care solutions for acne, anti-aging, and everything in between." COLLAGEN— THE SECRET TO WRINKLE-FREE SKIN?!
I’ve always heard/been told that once you hit 25 you need to start incorporating collagen into your daily routine. Our bodies natural collagen production begins to decline and adding it or collage- boosting products can help to keep plump, wrinkle-free skin. I am under 25 but that doesn’t mean that I can't still benefit from collagen products. Collagen What is it: Collagen is a protein found in your body that provides it’s structure including the skin, hair and nails. Collagen decline: Many factors decline collagen production including: •age (typically after 25) •sugar/refined carbs •excess sun exposure •smoking How to boost collagen production: Fortunately there are many ways to boost collagen production. Including foods, supplements, and skin care. This can either be incorporated directly from the source (collagen) or by the collagen-boosting foods. Collagen foods: •bone broth •egg whites •fish •lean meat •spirulina Collagen-boosting foods: •vitamin C; such as citrus fruits, broccoli •zinc; such as certain cereals, breads •manganese; such as leafy green vegetables and teas •copper; such as nuts and shellfish Supplemnets: Supplements are an easy way to incorporate collagen into the body. They can be incorporated into foods or drinks making it practical for everyday use. Some forms of supplements include: •gelatin •collagen pills •collagen peptide/protein powders •marine collagen Skincare: If you are using a skincare product this claims to have pure collagen in it, it may not be as beneficial as you’d like it to be. That is because collagen in it’s pure form may be to hard to penetrate through the skin and will leave you with no benefits. When choosing skincare products for collagen, its best to chose products that claim to boost collagen production. These products will contain ingredients mentioned above such as vitamin-c and even retinols. A product that I use that boosts collagen production with the help of active marine plant extracts is: ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Marine Cream — $128 Key Ingredients: •Padina Pavonica: A unique Mediterranean algae with proven outstanding anti-aging benefits (aids in the production of collagen) •Mimosa: An anti-inflammatory, toning and astringent. It has a pleasing, delicate aroma •Rose: A natural fragrance component with nurturing and calming properties -Ulta.com What is it: Hydrating, wrinkle cream that helps firm the skin. How I use: This cream is intended for day use but I find it way to thick to use during the day. I like to use this cream at night as a moisturizer to seal in all of my other creams and serums. I apply all over my face and neck. Results/Recommendations: Like previously stated, this cream is very thick. I’m prefer lightweight creams over thicker ones. This cream is not irritating and did not cause any side affects for my sensitive skin. However I did not see any dramatic differences for the amount of money the product cost. I feel as if other products work better but I do like that it aids in collagen production. I personally would not repurchase. If you are worried about wrinkles or are interested in living a healthier lifestyle, I would recommend for you to think about incorporating ways to boost your collagen production. This can either be through quitting bad habits such as smoking, making better food choices, or incorporating collagen supplements/skincare into your daily routine. Lastly, if you are a vegetarian, etc. it is good to know that there are plenty of plant-based options available. #CheriePartner
BYE BYE STATIC👋
Frizz and fly-aways happen to the best of us. No matter how often we moisturize our hair during the winter, escaping static electricity seems impossible. To better understand how to tame your hair static, you need to know a little bit more about what causes it. So, What Causes Hair Static? Static electricity is created when two objects rub against each other. This swap causes a kind of electric charge to build up on your hair. If there is humidity in the air, the charge can usually just go away on its own.🙏🏼 There’s many ways one can get rid of fly-aways and hair static…You can use hair oils, leave-in conditioners, there’s even some anti-frizz, anti-static hair products you can use. However, I have found a way that works best for me. I got this idea from celebrity hair stylist, Jen Atkin (founder and owner of OUAI). She says that one of the best ways to get rid of fly-aways and hair static is by using a blush brush and hairspray. I have very thick, curly and frizzy hair naturally. My fly-aways and static appear on either side of my parting and they normally appear straight after I wash and straighten my hair. All I want is a sleek smooth look, but these fly-aways always get in the way.🙄 #Sorbet - Flexible and Shine Hairspray[products]#[FiveStars] I use the Flexible and Shine Hairspray from Sorbet. I love this product because it keeps everything in place but doesn’t harden your hair (that’s the worst). I spray this hairspray onto a plain old (no name brand) blush brush, and slowly stroke down the strands of hairs that are static. This really does work like a bomb. You do have to go over the strands a couple of times until all of them are sleek and smoothed down. There’s my little trick of the day. Try it out and let me know if this hack works for you! Paula x

Halloween Ideas: Bratz (yes again) Part 3 💋🎃
Can you tell that I’m obsessed with Bratz tehee This look is simpler than the other I had posted before this so I wanted to put this here for those who are looking for an easier way! This is technically a cut crease still but there’s only one color for the base! I used Take Me Back To Brazil for the vibrant blue color!! I like to put eyeshadow primer on a flat brush to cut my crease or you can use concealer if you want! I think concealer is def easier cuz the consistency is a lot smoother!! For the eyeliner, I used the NYX Epic Ink liner to do my regular eyeliner! I did add an extended part into my crease to really give that dramatic effect aka Bratz style 💁🏻♀️ #CheriePartner
💖Creator Roundup 🏷 Cherie Made Me Buy It
Check out these creators profiles for their reviews on the cherie finds! @JadesJourney “I mentioned I was ordering a few of The Ordinary products a couple of weeks ago and Yay! they arrived last Friday. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I purchased three ordinary products because of reviews from fellow creators 🤗 thank you creators, and I’m interested in organic vegan 🌱, cruelty-free products. My haul included…” @HilaryStrano “While I love this app for more than one reason, the biggest reason is how we can learn from one another. I am very open about my struggles with eczema, rosacea, extremely sensitive skin so on one of my posts someone left a comment about adding collagen supplement. So I listened and here's what I found.” @pastelpink_bunny “This mini set is incredible! It contains their five best sellers for all skin types✨” @madihomewood “💔I’m pretty bummed about this eye cream tbh, I was so stoked about the brand (and should mention that I have been liking some of the other products so far) but this one really was a miss for me.”
