Best Ways To Treat Eye Wrinkles For More Youthful-looking Skin
May 7, 2020
Fine lines under the eyes are a pesky part of aging. While getting older is inevitable, there are ways to slow down the signs of aging. Eye-wrinkles are usually a dead giveaway on someone’s age, but not anymore. We’re giving you the best tricks in the business to keep crow’s feet at bay and get younger-looking skin.
Causes of fine lines under eyes
Over time, wrinkles form on delicate areas of your body; this is one of the unfortunate but inevitable parts of getting older. Your face, neck, hands, and chest will form wrinkles because of the breakdown of collagen and elastin (both of which are essential proteins) in the skin. Did you know that fine lines may be caused by more than just age? Several factors can contribute to fine lines, including smoking, sun exposure, lack of a proper skincare routine, unhealthy diet, and genetics. When we smile, squint, frown, or laugh, the eyes can’t help but move when making natural facial expressions. The continuous repetitive movements of the face and the tissue-thin skin around the eyes leave this space, especially prone to wrinkle development.
Usually, the first noticeable small lines or wrinkles you will see suddenly appear are around and under your eyes. You may be familiar with the nicknames like crow’s feet, smile lines, or under-eye wrinkles. No matter what you call them, most women want them gone. The eyes are one of the first areas of your body that can immediately give away your age. Thankfully, there are plenty of safe, effective treatment options that can help diminish fine lines.
Understanding the Lines Under the Eyes
Age 20: From age 20 onward, collagen production begins to decline. Under-eye wrinkles are still uncommon at this age, but it’s a good time to think about prevention methods.
Age 30: The skin will start to lose its ability to transport moisture between layers.
Age 40: After the age of 40, collagen production is significantly reduced. Eventually, it will stop altogether. The skin also begins to lose elasticity, and fine lines are likely to be more visible.
Top 3 Treatment Options to Get Rid of Lines Under The Eyes
There are various treatment options from topical creams, injections, and microneedling. The best treatment plan for you will depend on how severe your fine lines under the eyes are, how much you want to spend, and how well you tolerate pain.
1. Topical creams
These are creams that you can buy in the drugstore or high-end cosmetics shops like Sephora. Look for moisturizers and serums formulated with high amounts of hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, and retinol. These ingredients absorb quickly into the delicate under-eye skin to offer immediate and long-lasting results with continued use. This is by far the most cost-effective method to reduce fine lines around the eyes.
We know this one may be a little controversial; however, Botox still is one of the most popular aesthetic treatments in the US. Botox will give you complete line-smoothing results after a quick trip to your doctor’s office. The effects last up to 4 months, and you’ll start to notice your fine lines diminishing just a few days after the injections.
Microneedling (a.k.a. dermarolling) has been making some serious waves throughout the beauty community recently. Women have been sharing their stellar results of this minimally painful procedure. Usually, treatments are done once per week, and within a few months, fine lines should drastically improve. It’s done by puncturing tiny holes into the skin with a roller covered in micro-needles. The process stimulates collagen production. Note that microneedling may be too harsh for most sensitive skin types. So for those of you who have rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, or any inflammatory conditions, it’s best to try another remedy to treat your under-eye lines.
Aging has its ups and downs. Yes, we get wiser, but we also have to put up with lines and wrinkles forming in places that we would rather they didn’t. The good news is that there are tons of different treatment options to combat the signs of aging. Don’t settle for anything but your best results. Try different treatments until you find the right one to tackle your eye-wrinkles once and for all.
HOLY GRAIL SPF 🌞🌞🌞
Okay guys as I have said before I am guilty of rarely ever wearing sunscreen. I just never liked the feel of it on my skin. I always felt like it made me greasy & clogged my pores. However, once I heard about this product I was very intrigued. NIOD - Survival 30 It actually isn’t sold in the United States for some reason so I had to purchase it on a UK website. (Beauty Bay) It is an antioxidant serum with SPF 30. At first, it appears to be tinted but it’s actually not. On NIOD’s website they state: “The slight tinted appearance is derived from the active technologies including Lutein, Fractionated Melanin and Pycnogenol.” It blends in with your skin so easily & does not leave a white cast like some other SPF products. However this serum literally makes my skin tone soo even & perfect! It also contains silicone so it completely smooths over my pores. AND besides all that great stuff, it’s a mineral sunscreen! So it protects against environmental & lifestyle issues. Like UV rays, blue light, etc. I have never loved a product as much as this one! I literally cannot believe how good my skin looks while using this stuff! For a 30ml bottle, I paid $33 on the Beauty Bay site. For me, that is completely worth it! It comes in this adorable packaging & pretty glass bottle. It also has a pump dispenser & squirts out the perfect amount for a single use! I really can’t recommend this stuff enough guys! It’s wonderful!! @cherie@Cheriebeauty@CheriePick
Double Your Lash Length With Sky High Mascara!
I bought this mascara after seeing a post about it on Facebook. I love trying out new mascaras but rarely do I find one that I will use regularly like my beloved tarte - Maneater Mascara However this stuff is good. MAYBELLINE - Lash Sensational Sky High Waterproof Mascara It gave my lashes so much volume & length they literally doubled in size! My lashes are already pretty long to begin with but this made them look amazing. The photo is after applying only one coat so I can only imagine how good they will look after two or three coats! It also didn’t clump up my lashes at all. I applied it really quickly & lazily too because I was in a rush to get ready & I was still amazed! I honestly think this is going to be my new daily mascara. It is waterproof but not the annoying kind that leaves your eyes completely black when you go to take it off. It came off really easily with my POND'S - Facial Moisturizers Dry Skin Cream which is what I’ve always used to remove my eye makeup, since I was a kid! @cherie@Cheriebeauty@CheriePick

DISAPPOINTED BY THESE 100% NATURAL PRODUCTS 😩
I was so excited to try these out because I love moisturizers & I am always in search of a good one! These looked & sounded very promising! They’re from a woman owned company, completely natural, vegan, & cruelty free! However, I was quite disappointed. EARTH HARBOR - MERMAID MILK Nutrient Glow Moisturizer This moisturizer claims to give you a glow right away & it contains spirulina + matcha. I was excited about the matcha because it has so many amazing benefits for skin. It has a very whipped consistency which I like. However it always contains essential oils that were strong, although not toooo strong for my liking. But I’m really just not a fan of essential oils in my face creams. The moisturizer did make my skin appear a little brighter but the cream just sat on my face. All day long I could touch my face & still feel the cream sitting there! I hate that feeling! It also almost gave me a greasy appearance after a while? Not a fan. EARTH HARBOR - SIREN SILK Multi-Tasking Hydration Creme This one was absolutely awful. If I could give it 0 stars I would. It says to use it at night time & the apply it at least 5 minutes before bed so it can absorb on your face & not your pillow. It contains Sea Retinol + other Superherbs which normally make me love a product! But that just wasn’t enough here. First, when I put it on my face my eyes started to actually burn & I felt suffocated from the scent. It was THAT strong. Guys, I’m not being dramatic at all. The smell like attacked me it was crazy! I have never had something like that happen with a face cream! I couldn’t believe how strong the fragrance was. & to top it off, it wasn’t even a pretty smell. My husband described it as smelling like floor cleaner. But I powered through. The longer I had it on, the more “used” to the smell I got. So, I wore it overnight. But then I woke up even more upset with it! I had pilling all over my face. It almost looked like my face was peeling but it wasn’t, it was jus the cream. One thing I cannot stand about a moisturizer is pulling. That’s enough for me to throw it out! It also didn’t really even moisturize my face that well! All in all, I hated this experience. But if you want, you should try them out for yourself, don’t let my experience deter you from trying something new! I however, will be sticking with my Youth To The People Dream Mask & Superfood Whipped Moisturizer! Love those two!! YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream 💗💗💗 @cherie@Cheriebeauty@CheriePick

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
