Basically, the skin has two types of pores. While one kind is responsible for releasing sweat from the body, the other kind of pores is responsible for releasing the body’s natural oil called sebum. It is these sebum-responsible pores that widen and appear to be large. 
Large pores cannot be removed, however, their size can be reduced by a proper skin care routine. You must remember that acne sensitive skin has to be taken care of with a lot more attention. 
What causes large skin pores?
Here are a few ways to help you reduce the large pores on your skin and give you that flawless skin you desire:
1. Maintain good skin hygiene is a must!
Washing your face regularly is the best facial skin care routine. Clean your face with warm water and a good cleanser regularly. Dirty skin is one of the main reasons of large pores as the dirt settles in the pores and blocks them, forcing them to stretch more so that they can breathe. 
2. Use water-based products
This is very a very essential acne sensitive skin care method. Many people have oily skin and that is why acne is also a frequent issue for them. Oily and acne-prone skin needs to be taken care of by avoiding oily products. Choose light, water-based products because they do not suffocate and burden the skin. 
3. Exfoliate twice a week
Pores of the skin have a huge role to play in helping the skin breathe. When these pores are blocked by dirt and oil, they tend to appear larger and spoil the texture of the skin.
Exfoliate your skin twice a week to ensure healthy skin. Make sure to choose an exfoliating agent with salicylic acid as it helps in removing the collected debris from the skin. Following an exfoliating routine twice a week ensures healthy and clean pores, thus preventing them from enlarging.
You must ensure that you do not exfoliate your skin more than twice a week. Frequently exfoliating your skin with a salicylic based or alcohol based agent may cause your skin to become dry and that may make your pores look larger. 
4. Moisturize your skin daily
Keeping your skin moist and hydrated is exceptionally necessary and tremendously beneficial too. Many of you may think that using a moisturizer may block the pores and clog them. However, if you apply a light moisturizer after you wash your face and pat it dry, it will help keep your skin light and will also help the sebum seep deeper into the skin rather than collecting on the surface. 
5. Never ever sleep with make-up!
Sleeping with make-up is like atrocities on your skin! Your skin needs to breathe. Make up hampers your skin from breathing freely and if you do not remove your make up at night, your pores get blocked with oil and dirt. This causes them to appear larger and your skin might develop acne too.
If you are short of time, you can use cleansing wipes but never avoid removing your make-up.
6. Eating right is a must!
When a person’s diet is healthy, their skin glows differently. Your skin reflects what you put in your stomach and thus, it is extremely important you have a balanced diet and avoid oily and junk food. Unhealthy food and eating at odd hours often spoils your skin and people with acne sensitive skin affected the fastest.
7. Keep yourself hydrated
Water is like a magical potion for literally everything. Drinking plenty of water makes your skin look young and bouncy. Many of you might also know about the water therapy and its benefits. When the body lacks water, it clearly reflects on the skin. The skin starts looking dry and dull and lacks that radiant glow. Drinking sufficient amount of water keeps the skin young and healthy.
8. Exercising regularly is a blessing to your skin
Exercising increases the flow of blood to all the parts of the body and also increases sweating which helps clean the pores of the skin. Thus, you get clean and healthy skin. 
Getting rid of large pores is not possible but with a proper skin care routine, you can definitely reduce the size of pores. Opt for gel based cleansers and use a sunscreen while out in the sun. These small and simple methods will give you that healthy and glowing skin you desire and you will never have to worry about large pores again!
