I'll be the first to admit that I'm terrible at getting ready when I have nowhere to go. I've read (and written) blog posts about tips for working from home and the number one suggestion is ALWAYS to get ready in the morning just like you would on any other work day. Do I do that? No. Do I want to do that? YES! I think there is SO MUCH to be gained by looking and feeling your best, even when no one will see you in person. That being said, I've compiled some tips (and product suggestions) to help aid us all in the quick no-makeup makeup ways of working from home.Feeling Fresh Starts with SkincareStarting your day with a washed face makes ALL the difference when you're rushing to get ready in the morning. Wash, tone, and moisturize first thing in the morning, no matter what! BONUS: A tinted moisturizer can help keep your skin supple while doubling as a foundation replacement! For deep, long-lasting moisture, I use Neutrogena's Hydro Boost Water Gel Face Moisturizer.Multitask Your GlossWho says gloss has to stay on your lips? Dabbing some gloss where you usually apply highlighter (your cheekbones, brow bones, etc.) can make it look like you spent a lot more time on your makeup than you actually did. BONUS: While clear glosses may seem like the go-to for this tip, a rosy pink looks great on the cheeks and helps you look awake and alive! For an all-around gloss, I like FENTY's Gloss Bomb in Glass Slipper.Emphasize the EyesIf you're rushing to get ready, a wash of color over the whole lid, some quick mascara, and a flick of eyeliner can work wonders to help you look and feel ready to take on the day. When it comes to quick and easy makeup, focussing the eyes can take you from just-rolled-out-of-bed to awake-and-ready-for-hours in just a matter of minutes! BONUS: Eyeliner isn't your thing? Skip it! Prefer to only wear mascara? Go for it! It's really all about doing what's going to make you feel your best. Don't feel required to do things my way <3 For swift eyeshadow application, I love Glossier's Skywash. Simply apply and bend with your finger!

Consider a Concealer CocktailHad a late night binge on Netflix in and paying for it with dark circles? Use two concealers under your eyes for maximum coverage and brightness! Start by color correcting with a peach toned concealer and go over once more with your normal concealer. BONUS: Color-correcting isn't just for dark circles! This technique can work wonders for different skin problems! Research the best colors for your skin tone and find the perfect combo for a flawless complexion! For color-correcting of all kinds, I like the NYX Professional Makeup Color Correcting Palette.Perfect a Messy BunWhen you're running low on time, a messy bun is a go to that every long-haired lady should master! Take a bit of time and find your favorite YouTube tutorial and tie, twist, and pin until you've got it down! BONUS: Messy buns aren't your thing? That's okay! Find a quick hair tutorial on YouTube and get to styling! Using a good dry shampoo can add texture and volume to any hairstyle without using damaging techniques like teasing! For a voluminous, light bun, I like Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo.Blush Up on Popular Cheek Color TechniquesFeeling like your skin is lackluster and dull in the morning? Applying a quick flush of color to your face gives you an hours-awake, bright-eyed look — even over video chat. BONUS: Blush isn't just for cheeks! You can apply blush to the tip or bridge of your nose, eyelids, and chin as well for a rosy, glowy look. For a rosy touch, I like the Milani Rose Powder Blush in Coral Cove.

My Top 5 Foundations for Oily Skin
My Top 5 Foundations for Oily Skin
Here are my top 5 foundations for oily/combination/acne prone skin! These are by no means my only favorite foundations, just the ones I keep going back to. 1. ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation This matte, oil-free foundation controls oil all day. It’s sweat, heat and humidity-resistant, waterproof and 24-hour colour true. With buildable, medium-to-full coverage that feels lightweight and so comfortable. No touchups needed. Best for hot weather/ holidays. The only Downside is that it doesn’t come with a pump 2. MAYBELLINE - Fit Me! Matte & Poreless Foundation This foundation is a must have if you are looking for a good drugstore option for oily skin. It’s super affordable and gives a beautiful finish without feeling heavy on the skin. 3. HUDA BEAUTY - Fauxfilter Foundation is perfect for you if you are looking for full coverage. Just a couple of pumps go a long way. However, the formula isn’t ideal for anyone with dry skin or for people sensitive to string fragrances. 4. L'ORÉAL - Infallible Pro-Matte Liquid Longwear Foundation This formula blends unbelievably well and you can build this to completely full coverage! ! I'm beyond impressed for this being drugstore. 5. The Ordinary - Colours Coverage Foundation with SPF 15 this is my everyday foundation and gives good enough coverage. I just have to mix two different shades to get my color as the range is quiet limited but for the price I pay, I don’t mind. Always stay away form words like “dewy”, “luminous”, “shiny” , “glowy” if you have oily skin. Let me know if you have any questions.

The best sunscreen for dry skin☀️
The best sunscreen for dry skin☀️
Y’all… Let me tell you how dry my skin gets. My skin gets so dry that it looks like my skin is actually flaking. I have struggled with dry skin my entire life and I hardly find any products that truly help my skin. I reached out to a friend who gave me a skin care routine and she suggested this sunscreen PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ it is honestly the best! Not only is it scent free but it hydrates my skin without burning it. I have high sensitivity to a lot of products and this is one that doesn’t make my skin irritated or break out. If you struggle with dry skin, try out this sunscreen! Not only does it help with the dryness but also you should always be protecting your face with sunscreen!!!

every morning and night I use this ice roller on my face to de puff and get my blood flowing. Easily the best $12 I’ve spent. Everyone could use a little sculpting but when you have cystic acne, ice rolling is key in keeping some of the inflammation at bay as well. ESARORA - Ice Roller

With so many self- proclaimed beauty gurus in the world today, it’s very easy to get sucked into the DIY trend. Most experts and skincare specialists will tell you these homemade concoctions are not as good as they are made to be. Here are 5 ingredients you should not put on your face and why. 1. Essential Oils- The fragrant portion of plants is what makes essential oils. Modern science has revealed how fragrant oils cause problems for the skin. In the long run components in essential oils can significantly irritate and damage the skin. 2. Lemon Juice 🍋- Lemons are extremely acidic, which will irritate your skin. You can experience excessive redness, dryness, and skin peeling. Using lemons on your skin can cause more damage then benefit to your skin. 3. Coconut Oil- This ingredient causes a lot of debate amongst my followers, but fact is a fact, coconut oil is highly comedogenic. This means that the oil clogs pores on your face. When you apply coconut oil to your face it lays on the surface and is not able to be absorbed into the skin due to its large molecules. It can cause breakouts, blackheads, and whiteheads. 4. Witch Hazel- Here is another debate stirring ingredient. A lot of my patients and followers swear by witch hazel because of its immediate results on absorbing oil on the skin. What they fail to understand that it is not only absorbing the excess oils, but it is also stripping your skin of its natural oils. This can be very damaging to your skin and it’s natural protecting barrier, causing unnatural sensitized and dry skin. 5. Toothpaste- Such a popular trend and so harmful to your skin. Toothpaste contains high levels of baking soda which will mess with your skin’s ph level. This can lead to redness and burning of the skin. Toothpaste is a horrible option for your blemishes and instead I would recommend THE inkey LIST - Succinic Acid Acne Treatment As tempting as it is to try natural remedies at home, do your skin a favor and resort to stabilized and researched ingredients and products.
