Believe Me, These $5 Lip Products Deserve A Spot In Your PurseLooking for a little joy in the form of lip products that don't break the bank? Here you go.

Something I've learned from working in the beauty industry is that there is always room for more lipstick. Lip products are the one thing we just can't get enough of, otherwise, we'd just have one lipstick to rule them all. Maybe it's because they bring a pop of color into our lives; a little bit of joy. A little gloss or a hint of lipstick suddenly makes the day a little less dreary, doesn't it? Whatever the allure of lip products are, I'm fully in it (seriously, my lip drawer is getting a little ridiculous!) and I'm always down to discover the best of lips. Drugstore beauty has always had a soft spot with me, mainly because I used to peruse the beauty aisles of Target, CVS, and Walgreens as a teenager, mesmerized by the promise of beauty. So for this lip list, I put together some of the best lip products I've tried over the years, all $5 or less. And let me tell you, some of this stuff is so good I can't believe they're only $5!1. NYX Butter Gloss in Angel Food CakeThis gloss seriously blows me away. It has such a soft texture, beautiful color, and actually smells like cake! The love for this gloss is pretty universal, with it being rated at almost 5 stars across multiple websites. Another really great pro about this gloss is that it doesn't leave your lips flakey at the end of the day.
NYXButter Gloss2. Dr. Bronner's Oragnic Lip Balm in NakedI came across this balm on a whim—I was out of lip balm and getting some groceries at a Whole Foods, so I picked this up. That was a great discovery day because ever since then this has become a staple. It has a clean formula and is one of those balms that actually help your lips in the long run, instead of just moisturizing them for the moment.

DR. BRONNER'SOrganic Lip Balm3. Neutrogena Revitalizing Lip Balm in Sunny BerryThe star feature of this lip balm is the SPF factor, combined with the pretty flush of color it gives. I love this in the summer because it hydrates the lips, protects it from the sun, and keeps your look revitalized with a little hint of color.
NeutrogenaRevitalizing Lip Balm SPF 204. EOS Lip BalmRemember the days when everyone had one of these spheres on their lips? The fun shape was revolutionary, and the formula also did/does wonders for chapped lips. Nowadays, you can get this lip balm in a standard stick form as well, though I personally like the sphere form, still. 5. Sugar and Olive Oil Lip ScrubI've been doing this scrub for YEARS. It's one of the easiest, greatest ways to slough off dead skin from the lips while deeply moisturizing it. All you need is a couple tablespoons of olive oil and 3 tablespoons of white sugar, mix it up, scrub your lips, and wash it off. You'll feel how soft your lips are instantly. 2021 Fashion Week Inspired Makeup - Hermès
This look is inspired by models for Hermes for 2021 spring/summer fashion week. This look focuses on super dewy skin and a bold, red lip as the center of attention. This look was really easy to recreate and something I would actually rock IRL (except for the lack of mascara because mascara is bae). I’ve included the inspo photo from Allure. To add a glowy base to my complexion, I used Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid . I only ever use 1 pump of this oil-serum hybrid because I think any more makes me look like a grease ball. I applied this all over my face and dabbed a tiny amount onto my eyelids. This product is perfect for applying on bare skin, under makeup, and can even be used over makeup for a natural, wet-looking highlight. After I applied my complexion products, I dabbed a tiny amount onto the high points of my cheekbones. Sticking with the dewy theme, I used the ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 in “balos”. I’m not sure if the models were wearing complexion products because their skin looked super natural, yet also “flawless”. Since I have some redness on my cheeks, I used this skin tint to even out my skin tone and amp up the dew. I lightly concealed underneath my eyes with the e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer in “light peach”. The models don’t appear to be wearing any cheek products, though I did add a tiny bit of AOA studio - Sculpt FX Contour in “fawn” to help sculpt my cheeks a tiny bit like the models. I finished the look off with the SEPHORA COLLECTION - Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick in “always red”. I’ve had a mini of this for quite a while. It’s beautiful, comfortable despite being matte, does leave a tint behind, and is long-wearing. This is the kind of lipstick that would last from the runway well into the after party (in non-COVID times, of course). The models don’t appear to be wearing any mascara, so I skipped that. I filled in my brows a bit more than usual for a fuller appearance. I used the essence - Superlast Eyebrow Pomade Pencil in “dark brown”. Such a fun look! You guys it’s sooo hard not to smile. How do models do it?! 🤪 Look for another fashion week look soon. All brands are cruelty-free except for Sephora Collection. Prices: futuredew $24, skin tint $46, concealer $6, contour stick $1, lip stain (full size) $15, brow pencil $3.50 #Cherie Partner
A Satisfying Texture | Foundation for Dry Skin❤️
Look at this awesome close up of the AMOREPACIFIC - Color Control Cushion Compact Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 50 😍 I have this thing called Trypophobia (fear of small holes) but for some reason this close up just fascinates me. You can really see the luminescence of the foundation within the sponge! For those of you who aren’t familiar with CC formulas/cushion foundation, they are typically a smoother, more liquid-like formula than your average foundation that is made to even out skintone. Most true CC formulations focus more on skincare elements and a wee bit less on color/color ranges, especially those from Korean brands. Western brands definite amp up the diversity of their skintone range, as well as overall pigmentation in their formulas. This means you’ll find more full-coverage CC cream/foundation from “western” brands like IT Cosmetic’s it Cosmetics - it Cosmetics CC+ Cream SPF 50+ . (Not my favorite for dry skin. I felt like the Sahara Desert all over again when I used their formula 🙄) Therefore, it might be difficult to find a shade that fits you if you have a deeper skintone. Side note: I consider IT cosmetics to be a western brand because upon a bit of research, the company was bought by L’Oréal and the products are mostly manufactured in China. I love this foundation for super dry skin because of how moisturizing it is. It’s awesome for creating that second-skin finish with a natural, dewy glow. If you have light-medium with slight neutral-gold undertones and struggle with a bit of texture, this foundation line could work well for you! Every time I try something new or I’m stuck in a rut, I always go back to this foundation. I love the ease of use and blendability. The size is great for travel and I find that it doesn’t bother my dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin. You can get a medium to slightly buildable full coverage without “erasing” the dimension/shadows in your face. Even though it has SPF it doesn’t wash my face out completely and doesn’t create a white cast. If there is any, it’s only slightly noticeable. You would have to look reeeaaally close to see it. Layering on powder/cream products are a breeze. I found the best way to use this product is with a slightly damp beauty blender. Start by placing a little bit onto the skin and then proceed to layer more as needed. There is something to be mindful of when you are using this product. If you live in a more humid/moist climate, I would add a little powder after your face primer and then proceed to add this foundation to help keep this in place throughout the day. You could also carry a powder puff with you throughout the day for touch-ups. Because the foundation has high moisture and provides a dewy finish, it can impact the longevity if you live in an moist/humid area 😊 Yay to a healthy glow! ❤️😄
