In the beauty world, there is no shortage of bad*ss women who are taking over with their stunning makeup looks, incredible products, and internet-shattering launches. Among them are LGBTQ+ allies, environmental activists, and inclusivity advocates, and we love every second of it. We turn to them learn about all the different people-groups in the beauty industry and through them we are exposed to many different viewpoints we may have never otherwise been made aware of. These bad*ss beauties are some of the most influential in the industry today. Many children grow up dreaming of being astronauts, artists, or superheroes. Cashemere Nicole, however, has always had the mind of an entrepreneur and launched Beauty Bakerie in 2011 as a single mom. She is now an up-and-coming female CEO and part of a new wave of bad*ss female entrepreneurs in beauty. For Nicole, Beauty Bakerie is all about catering to the needs of a diverse beauty community, creating a brand that helps makeup-wearers feel good about adding a pop of color to their everyday routine, and making products that don't have harmful, cancer-causing ingredients. Most makeup-wearers LOVE a good glitter moment. Glitter roots, glitter highlight, and even glitter beards have all had their time in the spotlight and were all super fun. However, glitter isn't super fun for the environment. Glitter is really just microplastic that gets washed off your face at the end of the day ends up in the ocean, spurring further ocean pollution. Combatting this crisis is Kath Senior and her company EcoStardust. EcoStardust, founded in 2017, is built around sustainability. Senior has worked hard to develop a glitter that is derived from plant cellulose from non-GMO, sustainably farmed eucalyptus trees. Her passions for protecting the earth and removing microplastics from the world have led to a more environmentally-conscious beauty community while keeping it super fun and glitzy.Sheet masks, faux freckles, and space buns, oh my! In recent years, K-Beauty has taken over the beauty world thanks to one woman in particular — Charlotte Cho. Cho, along with her husband, launched her website Soko Glam in 2012 and has always had a passion for helping people discover Korean skincare, beauty trends, and cosmetics. Soko Glam helps users do just that. The website is full of K-Beauty products and routines that Cho herself has tested and curated for people interested in the trends. Her goal is to curate high-quality products and help inspire others to think "skin first" with good skin care habits in order to help others find beauty without the need to cover their natural faces. Through her work and learnings at Soko Glam, Cho released her own line of skincare, called Then I Met You, in 2018.

Then I met youLiving Cleansing BalmNikki De Jager, aka nikkitutorials, recently came out as a transgender woman following an unknown source blackmailing and threatening to out her in the months leading up to 2020. De Jager, having been an internet celebrity since the launch of her YouTube channel in 2008 said she wanted to start the new year by coming out and said in her video titled, "I'm Coming Out," "today, I'm taking back my own power." While she did not disclose specifics about the situation involving her blackmailer, de Jager used her platform to defend not only herself, but the Trans Community around the world by standing up to her aggressor. After she posted her video, many friends and large makeup brands and companies rallied behind de Jager and the trans community by showing their support on social media.
OFRAOFRA HighlighterA Shark-Tank reject turned Target exclusive, The Lip Bar is a makeup company whose CEO, Melissa Butler, is hoping to help change the linear narrative of beauty. Butler found herself frustrated with not only the many chemicals she found in her beauty products, but also the lack of inclusivity in beauty brands. Thus, she began creating lipsticks in her kitchen and The Lip Bar was born. Butler worked hard to pave her way to a substantial business and, eventually, found herself on Shark Tank in 2015 seeking investment in her company. When all of the sharks turned her away, Butler persisted and her line of gender- and color-inclusive products can now be found online and on Target shelves around the world.

✨Cute Bun Hairstyle✨
Hi Guys!!! I recently saw this scrolling on Pinterest and I wanted to recreate it! It’s SO easy and took about 5 minutes total!! It looks so fancy yet it’s so simple! I have medium to thin hair but this can work on pretty much all hair types! (: (tip: spray texture spray beforehand) this helps it stay in better!)☺️ HOW TO: -I like to pull my bangs out first (: - you’re going to section it as if you’re doing a half up half down hairstyle -then you’re going to start twisting that part of your hair -I twist it around like I’m doing a ballerina bun😅 -then I secure it with a hair tie ❤️ -you can leave like that! Or I like to pull it out a little so it’s more loose!✨😊
Sensitive Skin Game changer ❄️
What is the product? Avène - Thermal Spring Water Spray How does it work? Thermal Water works by soothing the skin and calming any irritation What are the notable ingredients? Mineral Spring Water What is the price? $18.50CAD Where can you purchase? Shoppers Drug Mart, Rexall Pharmacy and online How long have I been using it for? I’ve been using thermal water for over two years, I started off using this product on my body and now still use it on my face What is my experience ? My experience with thermal water has been good, I suffer from eczema on both my body and face. It was hard finding products that wouldn’t irritate or cause a flare up. When that happened this product saved my skin and soothed it. At first I was not exactly sure how water would help my skin, but after doing research thermal waters are meant to have healing properties for the body and skin. What are my thoughts? This product is nothing short of amazing, you are able to use it for multiple areas and it lasts so long. The mist is super fine which makes it perfect for spraying on large or small spots, and pressing into the skin similar to how you apply a toner. Would I recommend to a friend? I would absolutely recommend this product to a friend or family or even someone looking to help soothe their skin but who doesn’t want to break the bank!! My overall rating? 5/5 Would I repurchase? I have and will continue to repurchase this product until I find something that exceeds how amazing this is! #CheriePartner

Let’s learn a no heat style! Start by gathering your hair to one side Begin a rope braid in the front by twisting two pieces. Add hair to each section and twist again. Continue this pattern until you reach your ear. Split the remaining hair into two. While holding the section pop index finger and thumb through. Grab through the other section and repeat! Secure with an elastic. Xo
Dry Shampoo white residue? Don’t worry I got you
I love a dry shampoo with a lot of powder because it is what is absorbing the oil to make your hair look less greasy. However, sometimes there is a little white powder residue that I can’t seem to rub into my dark hair. Simple solution 💡!! Shine spray! It makes it all blend away! Using: KLORANE - Detox Dry Shampoo With Organic Aquatic Mint REDKEN - Shine Flash 02 Shine Spray
