Cherie is an online community of beauty lovers sharing their stories; whether that's their favorite products, makeup tutorials, or skincare routines. Download the app today to be a part of #BeautyWithoutBarriers and show the world what beauty means to you!The days of pencil-thin eyebrows being in fashion are long gone – now, big, thick, dark brows are all the rage, which means eyebrow tinting has rapidly grown in popularity in recent years. Although the cost of having eyebrows tinted professionally is relatively low in most places, it still adds up – plus, it always requires regular time commitments. As a result, home eyebrow tint kit sales have shot up as more and more people decide to keep up with their brow maintenance from the comfort of their own home. However, with so many different products available, choosing a specific tint for your eyebrows can be challenging and confusing. That’s why, with the help of Cherie readers, we’ve scoured the internet and rounded up the four very best home eyebrow tinting products currently on the market. Etude House Tint My Brows GelIf you spend a lot of time on social media, this product may look familiar to you. That’s because there’s been a bombardment of video tutorials on many people’s social media feeds over the last year that show exactly how this paint-and-peel eyebrow tint works – and it’s gained a fair amount of attention, for good reason. Simply fill in your eyebrows with one of the five shades available, wait for at least two hours (although the company does say that you can leave it on longer, even overnight, for a more dramatic effect), then gently peel off the film – and voila! You have perfectly tinted eyebrows. And don’t worry – the film won’t stick to your skin or hair, so you won’t end up with less eyebrow than before you started. This tint lasts for up to a week, so it’s great for people that are a little nervous about making the leap into permanent eyebrow tinting, which normally lasts for up to six weeks. Furthermore, it’s less than $9 on Amazon, so it’s good value.1000HOUR Eyelash and Brow TintThis product from 1000HOUR is a firm favorite, according to the plethora of positive reviews available to view online. Firstly, it is not only an eyebrow tint but also an eyelash tint, meaning you can treat yourself to two at-home beauty treatments for the price of one. Moreover, it can even be used by men on beards, side-burns, and mustaches – and, with a total of 12 separate applications included in each pack, it certainly goes a long way. When you consider that it’s just $13 on Amazon, this product really is a fantastic buy. The color is permanent, so you need to have had at least a little practice before you attempt it – but once it’s on, it is waterproof and smudge-proof, lasts for up to six weeks, and provides, according to the company, 100% grey coverage. The 1000HOUR Eyelash and Brow Tint is available in four colors: Natural black, brown, black-brown, blue-black.WUNDER2 Wunderbrow 1-Step Brow GelUnless you’ve been living in isolation for the past year or so, it’s unlikely that you’ve missed this brand entirely – WUNDER2 has taken the internet by storm with its award-winning makeup and beauty products. The Wunderbrow 1-Step Brow Gel is one such product that customers have been raving about – in fact, there are more than 23,000 positive reviews on Amazon, where it can be purchased for $21. Wunderbrow comes in the form of a PermaFix gel that should be applied to eyebrows using the brushes provided. The gel contains an exclusive blend of hair-like fibers combined with specifically treated pigments that have been designed to fasten onto the skin and eyebrows; the result is thicker, fuller, more defined eyebrows that still look natural. It’s 100% waterproof, smudge-proof, and transfer-proof, and lasts for up to three days before it fades. It’s not, therefore, a long-term solution – rather, the perfect product to use for the weekend or a couple of days away. Alternatively, of course, you could just reapply the product every few days. While the fact that Wunderbrow is only a temporary eyebrow tint may deter some potential customers, it is, in fact, an advantage for people who are new to home eyebrow tinting and perhaps nervous about attempting the treatment themselves with a permanent tint that will last up to six weeks. Lastly, this product comes in multiple different colors, so there should be something to suit everyone. These are auburn, blonde, black-brown, brunette, and jet black. Godefroy Professional Tint KitThis product has been around for a while and is certainly popular with customers, judging by the thousands of positive reviews online. This is not just a home eyebrow tinting kit, though – it can also be used on beards, mustaches, and sideburns, and covers 100% of gray hair. It’s worth noting, however, that the company specifically stresses that this product is not suitable for use on eyelashes. The Godefroy Professional Tint Kit is a permanent color that lasts for up to six weeks, but its easy application makes it suitable for beginners – the no-drip cream formula comes in single applications (20 of them in total – so you get a lot for your money). Moreover, it’s free from ammonia, which is always a bonus in any permanent home tinting kit. This product comes in four colors: medium brown, dark brown, light brown, and natural black. It’s available on Amazon for $20, making it just $1 per tinting treatment, which should only need to be done every six weeks. This is fantastic value that’s hard to beat elsewhere, which earns this Godefroy product a firm place in this list. It’s Time to Tint!Hopefully, with the help of Cherie readers, you’re now fully prepared to venture into the online world to find the ideal home eyebrow tinting kit for you – we certainly think that there’s something for everyone in this list. Before you use any home tinting product, however, it’s absolutely crucial that you read all the instructions and information provided beforehand – often, you’ll be required to do a patch test at least 24 hours before you use the treatment. Make sure you do so – allergic reactions around your eyes can be serious, not to mention painful and unsightly! Once you’re good to go, however, then happy tinting!

NEW 🚨 Anti-Irritation CBD Lip Balm 🍃
NEW 🚨 Anti-Irritation CBD Lip Balm 🍃
Kosas partnered with a brand called Flora + Bast, which sources pure, unprocessed CBD products for skincare and wellness. Together, they made this lip balm. It gives you a lot of ingredients for the cost, and is great for dry, acne-prone skin. I would recommend it the most for people who do sports, or in Fall/Winter weather. 🌿 INGREDIENT BREAKDOWN 🌿 MAIN : Full Spectrum Cannabis Extract 50 mg Full Spectrum cannabis is the unprocessed version of CBD. It keeps all it’s aspects and nutrients, including THC (but less than 0.03%, so it won’t make you high). Research shows that CBD reduces sebum production and soothes irritation- making it ideal to control acne and redness. Our bodies naturally produce a cannabinoid called anandamide- without it, you have dry, irritated skin. CBD naturally helps replenish that. 50mg is potent for a lip balm. Some balms have 10 mg, so this is definitely not cheating you on ingredients. For other parts of your skin, CBD recommendations can go as high as 350 mg to treat pain. So 50 mg is a good range for the thin, sensitive skin on your lips. Hyalauronic Acid A natural limp plumper that’s naturally derived from sugar- So it’s super unlikely to cause a reaction. We have HA naturally in our connective tissue. It keeps us lubricated, and it can bind ~1000 times its weight in water. What this means for your lips is that it’ll hold onto hydration, making them look plumper. Konjac Root This pairs perfectly with HA. It has glucomannan, which holds ~50 times its weight in water. It’s turns the balm texture into a gel, and is antimicrobial. Together with HA, they have a plumping, anti-wrinkling effect. Extra Ingredients Boy this little balm is packed! Here’s just a few more moisturizers it contains: castor seed oil, jojoba esters , grape seed oil, avocado oil, mango seed butter, rice bran extract, etc. 💕 APPLICATION 💕 My lips are prone to flaking because of harsh acne medication. They also get easily red and irritated. This balm is advertised as creamy and soothing. When I apply it, it goes on thick- but doesn’t look thick. It has a natural-ish finish that leans glossy. It feels perfect for winter because it’s so creamy. And it feels a little minty- Which I found really relaxing. The product didn’t just sit on my lips- After hours, it felt like it had absorbed its moisture. The texture reminds me of theNeutrogena - Lip Moisturizer with Sunscreen SPF 15 ($2.99 for 0.15 oz). But that product has a much shorter ingredient, with castor oil as its main moisturizer. Kosas product ($20 for 0.17) is priced higher, but it’s worth it for all the extra ingredients you get. If you have sensitive lip concerns, this product is worth checking out. Its slim packaging makes it easy to slip into your bag, and it’ll keep chapping under control.
BYE BYE STATIC👋
BYE BYE STATIC👋
Frizz and fly-aways happen to the best of us. No matter how often we moisturize our hair during the winter, escaping static electricity seems impossible. To better understand how to tame your hair static, you need to know a little bit more about what causes it. So, What Causes Hair Static? Static electricity is created when two objects rub against each other. This swap causes a kind of electric charge to build up on your hair. If there is humidity in the air, the charge can usually just go away on its own.🙏🏼 There’s many ways one can get rid of fly-aways and hair static…You can use hair oils, leave-in conditioners, there’s even some anti-frizz, anti-static hair products you can use. However, I have found a way that works best for me. I got this idea from celebrity hair stylist, Jen Atkin (founder and owner of OUAI). She says that one of the best ways to get rid of fly-aways and hair static is by using a blush brush and hairspray. I have very thick, curly and frizzy hair naturally. My fly-aways and static appear on either side of my parting and they normally appear straight after I wash and straighten my hair. All I want is a sleek smooth look, but these fly-aways always get in the way.🙄 #Sorbet - Flexible and Shine Hairspray[products]#[FiveStars] I use the Flexible and Shine Hairspray from Sorbet. I love this product because it keeps everything in place but doesn’t harden your hair (that’s the worst). I spray this hairspray onto a plain old (no name brand) blush brush, and slowly stroke down the strands of hairs that are static. This really does work like a bomb. You do have to go over the strands a couple of times until all of them are sleek and smoothed down. There’s my little trick of the day. Try it out and let me know if this hack works for you! Paula x
How to Get More Use Out of Your Bright Colors💕
How to Get More Use Out of Your Bright Colors💕
HELLOOOOOOO! I had a much needed mini break yesterday so there was no post BUT TODAY... I wanted to share some awesome tips since for most of us it’s fall/winter season and many of our bright colors are hibernating until spring! If you’re a person who typically says no to bright pinks, oranges, neon greens, etc. in the fall/winter season or don’t know what to do with them, here’s how you can utilize those colors to benefit your look/wardrobe! I set an example in this photograph of a very wearable but bright makeup look. Here’s how I got it to look “put together” without needed to add a boatload of other colors or create a high contrast. By exploring these techniques you can get a softer look but still stay in the same color spectrum 1. Play with the tones of the shade and apply it to different areas of the face! It can be difficult to use multiple shades of the same color spectrum on the face because things can turn messy/muddy very quickly. You might even look sunburnt if you’re using pinks. This can be due to the fact that some colors have the same undertone that creates the final product. Your skintone also plays a role in how the final results will look. The easiest thing you can do is play with these undertones. Have some fun with shades that can be cool or warm in undertone. You can balance out the face by having some cool tones in certain areas and warm in others. This way you won’t look “sickly”, “crazy”, or sunburnt” at the end of everything. In photo 2, you can see towards my eye area that it’s slightly “warmer” than the makeup on the rest of my face, specifically my upper lid area. The shade I created was a mixture of the color “Wild” and “Delicate” from Violet Voss - Sakura Blossom Eyeshadow and Pressed Pigment Palette , which are both warm in color/undertone. Next, I added a light cool-toned pink on my lower lid. I wanted the eyes and cheeks to capture most of the attention. Therefore, adding the cool-toned pink helped add dimension without taking away the focal points of the upper lid and cheeks. The idea is to have a sense of balance. 2. Play with Textures! If you have a ton of shades that have bright colored sparkles/shimmers and don’t know what to do with them, use them here! Imagine this being your wardrobe. You can enhance certain patterns in a blouse or t shirt with another pattern. This concept is the same for eyeshadows/face makeup. The micro-particles can really rejuvenate your makeup and enhance the look to create dimension. Imagine have a full face of the same color of bright matte pink. There might not be that UMPH you see in your typical editorials/makeup photos. By adding some highlights and other textures, it will give your eyes something to look at! Use shimmers that may have a similar color profile if you want a unified look. Other Products Used: WAYNE GOSS - The Weightless Veil Blush Palette 3CE - Velvet Lip Tint Happy Experimenting!
Eco friendly makeup brand: Alleyoop!
Eco friendly makeup brand: Alleyoop!
Alleyoop is a newer brand to me—they had been on my radar for a little while, and I finally got to try some of their products when they invited me to their content creator program. The whole idea behind Alleyoop is to simplify your routine with staple, multi-use products that are quick and easy to apply and blend. Their philosophy is to streamline your routine, eliminating products that you don’t need or don’t use, which is a very eco friendly idea when most makeup brands pump out product after product, not seeing to give much thought to how wasteful it can be. One of the products they sent me was the alleyoop - Stack the odds multi-use face palette , which comes with a contour, blush, and highlight. The shades are SUPER creamy and easy to blend, and there are three color options available for this palette (the one seen here is Sassy Pants, the lightest option. The other shades look great on deeper skin tones!) I really, really love this palette. These are three staple makeup products that I use every day, all rolled into one. The design of the palette is very innovative and cute, and I love that it removes the need to buy three separate products. I know there are other face palettes with these products rolled into one, but this one is so streamlined and simple, and seriously—the formula is so beautifully creamy and blendable. They have jojoba and sunflower oils to give skin a subtle glow, which I love. I apply these with either my fingers or a brush; either way works fine. I find myself reaching for this palette most mornings. The alleyoop - 11th Hour Eyeshadow Sticks is a very cool idea for a product. Alleyoop reports that 82% of women use only 1-3 shades out of the eyeshadow palettes they own—that’s a TON of waste, of both money and product. Their solution is these cream eyeshadow sticks, which come in five universally flattering shades. These take about ten seconds for me to swipe on my lids and pat all over, resulting in a shimmery wash of color. Alleyoop claims they’re smudge and crease proof for 11 hours, which I’ve shockingly found to be true. Plus, the other end is a sharpener in case you want to use it as an eyeliner! I really love what Alleyoop is doing. Their mission is to make beauty simpler, easier, and less wasteful. They offer a pretty select range of products, which makes me trust that they actually care about their mission of helping the environment. Plus, their orders come packed in dissolvable packing peanuts! Not only are these fun to dissolve in the sink, it gives me further trust in the company. In addition, I like that their prices are accessible: Stack the Odds is $34, which isn’t bad for three products, and 11th Hour is $20. I’d much rather pay $20 for a shadow I know I’ll use than $60+ for a palette with a bunch of shades that will go to waste. All in all, I highly recommend checking out Alleyoop for great products at great prices! #CheriePartner
2020s Biggest Trend: Dermatologist Approved
2020s Biggest Trend: Dermatologist Approved
The biggest trend in 2020 is PERSONLIZRD SERUMS. I tried #Atolla and here are my genuine thoughts (SURPRISE AT THE END OF CAPTION!) Do you ever feel like there are too many skincare products out there and have no idea what you need? Trust me, it’s happened to me too! I have been using #ATOLLA which is a company that formulates serums with a mixture of ingredients to target with your skin needs. Here are some of the benefits: 1) The serum is personalized for your skin. 2) you are able to monitor your skin changes each month with a skin test 3) Your formulation is altered monthly to target your problem areas. 4) It formulates several key ingredients into one serum, rather than buying separate creams. 5) it takes into account the products you are currently using. My initial skin concerns when completing my skin quiz with Atolla was battling dry skin as well as skin hyperpigmentation. They sent me a product with vitamin C complex as well as Alpha Arbutin. Vitamin C acts as my antioxidant against sun damage, evens out my hyperpigmentation, increases collagen, and increases hydration. Combining this with alpha arbutin, which targets the enzyme that produces pigment, only further reduced my hyperpigmentation. Like everything, results did not come overnight, but with consistent use, I was able to really even out my skin pigment and hydrate my skin. 🎉🎉🎉CHERIE SURPRISE 🎉🎉🎉 I've asked Atolla to give my CHERIE APP followers an exclusive code “DRCHRIS” for 25% off! Excited to see what you guys think!! 🙌🙌 Atolla - Custom Serum INGREDIENT BREAKDOWN:⤵️ The vitamin C helps with collagen growth, hyperpigmentation, as well as sun damage. The Alpha arbutin targets primarily hyperpigmentation creating an even skin tone. Depending on your product, you can use it in the morning or night.
