Laser Hair Removal at Home: Some of Your Best OptionsHere are best options for laser hair removal at home.
Cherie is an online community of beauty lovers sharing their stories; whether that's their favorite products, makeup tutorials, or skincare routines. Download the app today to be a part of #BeautyWithoutBarriers and show the world what beauty means to you!Anybody who has unwanted body hair will tell you what a pain it is to remove. Razors, hot wax, removal creams; none of it is any fun at all. Oftentimes, all the efforts result in cuts, nicks, burns, and irritation that can make even the most ardent beauty-seeker threaten to throw their hair removal device out the window and never pick it up again. And all of this for just days of smooth skin. Surely there’s got to be another and better way, right? Well, there is, but it’s going to cost you. Laser hair removal is an oft-forgotten option that is perfect for those who dream of never touching another razor again, but it comes with a hefty price tag that makes it inaccessible for most. Luckily there’s a wide variety of options for laser hair removal at home for a fraction of the cost. With a good machine, you can achieve just as good results as you would at a clinic and without moving from your couch. Not all machines are created equal, so read further to find out some of our top-recommended options. 1. CosBeauty IPL This nifty little laser device is packed with tech that promises to give you silky smooth legs and arms with little effort necessary. It uses proven and FDA approved Intensive Pulse Light (also known as IPL) to permanently remove hair in as little as 6 treatments, so it’s a great option for those who don’t want a super-involved process. It’s also relatively inexpensive and available on Amazon – perfect for those who don’t want to do a lot of shopping around. 2. Braun Gillette Venus Silk·Expert 5 IPLFor those who want a tried and true brand, this at-home hair removal machine is from Gillette, so you know you’re getting quality construction that will last a good long while. It promises very fast results with permanent hair growth reduction in only a month! It also uses the safest IPL technology out there and uses a smart skin sensor that perfectly adapts to your skin tone for the best results possible. According to the brand, you should be able to treat one of your legs in just 8 minutes, so you don’t have to worry about any wasted time. 3. LumaRx Full Body Hair Removal SystemIf you’re serious about removing as much body hair as possible, this is an option you should keep your eye on. Admittedly, it tends towards the expensive end of the spectrum although it is still far cheaper than going to a professional. This laser system is specifically meant to be used over large areas of the body but can be used everywhere from your chin to your underarms to your legs and even your bikini line. It really does it all. It’s gentle but it can reduce up to 94 percent of hair in just three treatments, so it’s ultra-effective. It also features a replaceable cartridge that works for over 40 individual treatments, so you shouldn’t need another hair removal machine for a very, very long time. This one is in it for the long haul. 4. Feeke IPL Hair RemovalWanting something smaller and more compact? The Feeke laser hair removal machine is a great choice that also happens to be a lot cheaper than much of the competition on the market. It is small and is ideal for use on more concentrated areas of the body like your bikini line, underarms, or upper lip. Despite its small package, it is just as effective as professional treatments, resulting in a massive difference in just one to two months of treatment depending on frequency. The company also claims that it holds almost a million flashes, which ensures you’ll never have to buy another hair removal system. That’s super economical and we love this option for it. 5. Tria Beauty Hair Removal Laser Perhaps with some of the most true-to-clinic results out there, the Tria at-home laser is a fantastic option for those who are worried that others might not be as effective. This laser device is powered by the same Diode laser technology the professionals use and delivers over three times the hair-eliminating energy of competing brands. Oh, and all of this is for just a fraction of a clinic visit price. It’s also really easy to use thanks to its unique LED display that guides you through the treatments and is significantly easier on the eyes because its lights aren’t nearly as intense as they are on IPL devices. While all of these options are great for removing unwanted body hair, you should be careful while using them. Despite being FDA-cleared and safe, it’s still easy to experience adverse effects and irritation when using any at-home laser hair removal machine. Always begin with a patch test to ensure your skin doesn’t react negatively and avoid particularly sensitive areas, especially until you’ve gotten the hang of your specific device. Additionally, always follow directions for use. Don’t go overboard on treatments trying to get it all done faster and don’t use on darker skin than recommended, as both of these things can cause some serious burning or discoloration. When in doubt, err on the side of caution. Do that and you’ll have a significantly safer (and more effective!) hair removal experience! How to conceal hollow under eyes
Hollow under eyes are a pain to deal with, and I see so many people doing it incorrectly especially with baking ! I’m an advocate for healthy skin underneath to have the best makeup you can achieve, but it’s all about ingredients & layering concealer the right way. 1. For me and any one with hollow eyes should stay away from matte concealers since they suck you eyes dry to the point of you see creasing lines & putting loose setting powder will show tremendously. I start with cream based concealers 2. Use a corrector first to diminish your under eye color & smooth complexion. For me I use a concealer similar to my skin or a bit orange under my eyes 3. I top off with a shade lighter to conceal for brightening under the eyes. 4. When using a loose powder , I press in the powder to give it a seamless look because why do we want clumps or residue from the powder ? I never liked baking🙃 What are your thoughts ? How do you conceal your under eye looks?
Beauty is always evolving. That's why I'm never afraid to switch up and thing or two. When I started my beauty journey, I only wore eyeliner. I was so afraid to try other products because of the stigma that was on "makeup" and how it would make your skin look, etc! But once I realized my passion for Beauty such as makeup, skincare & hair, I asked myself "Why am I listening to everyone else?" and from that day forward, I've been discovering so many great things about my skin, what products are my favorite and what I do & don't like. Finding the perfect products for you can be a mission, but lately It's been a bit easier on my friends & I by using the Cherie beauty app. Not only do I get to explore products that I'd probably walk past in the store, but I get to read reviews and watch people with the same skin & hair type as me express their love or hate for the products! Now instead of listening to people say beauty is bad, I get to be in a community full of people all around the world who share the same passion. It's exactly what I wish I had at the beginning of my journey! Can’t wait to share more with you guys! 💕
BEST mascara for straight lashes 🤩💕
I have straight, thin, long Asian lashes that need volume + curl + length, so it’s pretty much impossible for me to find a mascara that I like. I use a Shu Uemura or Kevyn Aucoin lash curler to curl my lashes first - these two lash curlers have been the best performing for me, since they fit Asian eyelids pretty well! L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara - this mascara is supposed to be a dupe for TF Better Than Sex Mascara, and I actually like it better! I’ve used both the waterproof and the regular one, and it’s kept my straight lashes curled. I like drier formulas, and this is definitely one of those - no flaking and curl is held all day, BUT it does get a bit clumpy. if you’re into clumpy lashes (I am, honestly), you might like this one because it does build volume and length. benefit - Roller Lash Curling & Lifting Mascara - this is probably my favorite high end mascara because it actually lengthens, volumizes, and retains my curl. I usually don’t believe that high end mascara is worth it, but I would repurchase this one if I was splurging on myself! benefit - They're Real! Mascara - this is a very ordinary mascara and performs really closely to the original L’Oreal Voluminous line, in my opinion. nothing to write home about - didn’t hold up my curl, no significant length or volume. Heroine Mascara - this mascara is INTENSE. it holds my curl super well and gives me some length and volume, but is IMPOSSIBLE to take off. it took about ~3 days for me to completely clean this mascara off with oil-based remover, so if you have really straight and thin lashes, this may be a great option, but do note it’s difficult to remove. Too Faced - Better Than Sex Mascara - I actually despise this mascara because it’s super wet, then gets super dry in the tube really quickly. this is one of the few mascaras that flaked on me, didn’t hold a curl, and just didn’t look good immediately after application. I got a free one and wouldn’t repurchase. L'ORÉAL - Telescopic Waterproof Mascara - my holy grail since middle school! I use the waterproof one and it holds my curl, lengthens, and volumizes (with extra coats) better than any other mascara has. every time I stray from this mascara, I find myself coming back because it’s just that good. I find it’s the right wet/dry ratio that I love. would totally recommend this for all lash types, whether you have straight, curled, thick, thin, or short lashes! overall, my top two picks would be the L’Oreal telescopic mascara and the L’Oreal lash paradise. I wouldn’t spend too much money on mascara and would instead invest in a great eyelash curler, since they can last you for years. drugstore products are always my favorite, so if you have any recs I’d love to hear them!
Double Your Lash Length With Sky High Mascara!
I bought this mascara after seeing a post about it on Facebook. I love trying out new mascaras but rarely do I find one that I will use regularly like my beloved tarte - Maneater Mascara However this stuff is good. MAYBELLINE - Lash Sensational Sky High Waterproof Mascara It gave my lashes so much volume & length they literally doubled in size! My lashes are already pretty long to begin with but this made them look amazing. The photo is after applying only one coat so I can only imagine how good they will look after two or three coats! It also didn’t clump up my lashes at all. I applied it really quickly & lazily too because I was in a rush to get ready & I was still amazed! I honestly think this is going to be my new daily mascara. It is waterproof but not the annoying kind that leaves your eyes completely black when you go to take it off. It came off really easily with my POND'S - Facial Moisturizers Dry Skin Cream which is what I’ve always used to remove my eye makeup, since I was a kid! @cherie@Cheriebeauty@CheriePick
