HELP! I need a new skincare routine!
(Excuse my eyebrows I need to get them threaded) LOL So I’ve always struggled with acne, and I’m 18 and it’s still going on. I started birth control to help with my periods and acne about a little over 2 years ago now, and it has dramatically decreased my acne and helped so much with my flow and cramps. I just want to feel more confident because I rarely wear any makeup (foundation) on my face, and when I do I just want it to look smooth and not bumpy. I would really appreciate if anyone could recommend any products they use or have used. My skin is mainly oily, but it can be combination sometimes and sensitive when it wants to. Also, I don’t want to spend a lot of money on products. And what are y’all’s opinions/reviews on The Ordinary? Please help me! 🙏🏼 My morning routine consists of: -Clean&Clear - Morning Burst Oil-Free Gentle Daily Face Wash -DICKINSON'S - Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner -FORMULA 10.0.6 - Seriously Shine Free Mattifying Oil Free Moisturizer My nighttime routine consists of: -GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Mattifying -CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin -Clean&Clear - Share NIGHT RELAXIN Deep Cleaning Face Wash -DICKINSON'S - Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner -Beauty 360° - Vitamin E Moisturizing Oil -GARNIER - SkinActive Soothing Facial Mist with Rose Water -FORMULA 10.0.6 - Seriously Shine Free Mattifying Oil Free Moisturizer (I do use masks sometimes just like everybody else after I double cleanse at nighttime).

Stop Buying Oil Cleansers!
So you’ve probably heard about the latest skincare practice of Double Cleansing. This method of cleansing involves cleaning the skin twice, first with an oil-based cleanser and then with a water-based cleanser. You then follow along with your usual skincare routine. This is similar to OCM or the Oil Cleansing Method. This is technically the first step of Double Cleansing, however, with the OCM you don’t typically follow up with another cleanser. I know there are amazing oil-cleansers on the market right now from low-priced to high-end. But I honestly suggest making your own at home! Why?? Ingredient Knowledge-You know exactly what’s in it! No need to wonder if your cleanser is oil-based or straight up oil. You choose what goes in it. Economically Efficient-Yes, the price you pay for your ingredients will more than likely out weigh the price for a singular product, however, these oils can be used all throughout your beauty regimen. Mix with a clay mask or add a little to your moisturizer. Oils for Dry Skin Olive Avocado Cocoa Butter Oils for Normal Skin Jojoba* Coconut Sunflower Oils for Oily Skin Castor Oil* Grapeseed Oil Argan Oil *In my opinion after doing research and looking at other individuals routines, I think that castor oil and jojoba oil are great for all skin types. Castor oil has great cleansing abilities and the overall goal is to cleanse your skin, right? The origin of Double Cleansing resides in Korean Skincare. Everyone think of the 10 steps when they think of Korean Skincare but what should be thought of is personalization. Korean Beauty is big on customization in regards to your skin care. Another reason that making your own oil cleanser would be great. You can customize it to your exact skin type! My Oil Cleanse 40%HERITAGE STORE - Organic Castor Oil -$7.99 30% Beauty 360° - Vitamin E Moisturizing Oil -$7.99 30% Grapeseed Oil (store bought, Harris Teeter) -$8.99 This has been great for my skin. It doesn’t feel oily and it doesn’t feel dry. My goal for oil cleansing was to clean and balance my skin. I especially want my skin at a good balance to be receptive to products. Mainly moisturizer because it’s getting colddd! Tell me how you guys feel about oil cleansing!

Don’t fall for the cute packaging.
Don’t fall for the cute packaging.
For starters, 2 oz. vs. 9 oz. 🙃 Yes, the Olive June version is adorable. But, that may be it’s only redeeming quality. It runs out quickly and the sponge disintegrates over time. Leaving little sponge fibers all over your nails and fingers. That’s a deal breaker for me. The whole purpose of this product is to avoid hassle. No complaints about the CVS brand version. It’s over 4 times the amount of product. No sponge disintegration. And, less than half the price (or free if you play your coupons right).

Get relaxed with this heated eye mask! 😊😊
Get relaxed with this heated eye mask! 😊😊
I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when I saw this mask at cvs. I wasn’t sure how a warm mask for eyes would help for relaxation? But I tried it on Sunday after my morning run and breakfast and was proven so wrong. It’s simple to use. The mask starts warming up to warm as soon as the pouch is opened. It has loops to place around ears and you simply need to close your eyes and place the mask on closed eyes. It remains warm for 10-15 minutes and you can just discard it after. Although I ended up falling asleep and kept it on 30 mins but woke up feeling amazing! 😃It has a mild lavender scent and the heat does help in melting the stress as the packet claims. It’s only $2.99 and I definitely recommend it Beauty 360° - Lavender Scented Relaxing Heated Eye Mask
