Unpopular Opinion: Kylie Cleanser 🤭
So I got this in a Boxycharm about 5 months ago. When I first got it, I used it everyday (as you can see it’s half full). With only one-two pumps my whole was covered. I couldn’t believe it.. This product: KYLIESKIN - Foaming Face Wash Kylie Jenner line got a lot of attention when it came out. I actually like aim for simplicity approach she took. The ingredient list isn’t actually all to radical. It costs $24. Which is average for a cleanser. Especially for a brand trying to push luxury but affordable. Ingredients : Glycerin: great humectant. Similar to hyaluronic acid, it helps to keep your skin moisturized and soft. It also helps to improve skin texture. Kiwi Seed Oil: high in vitamin C. Its also packed with vitamin E (both antioxidants). Helps to maintain moisture, and great anti-aging ingredient. Fragrance: this fragrance is light. I’m still on the fence about all fragrances being bad, soo. Yet, most fragranced products have no irritation on my skin. Cocamidopropyl Betaine: this ingredient received mixed feelings. It’s classified as a surfactant (breaks down oils and also a foaming agent). Surfactants aren’t necessarily bad, unless formulated incorrectly. I didn’t feel any irritation from the product, (I hoped not for $24). Thoughts💭 : I love this cleanser for my oily days. I do not use this unless I have to. Having combo skin, sometimes I can overload myself with moisturizer to compensate for my dry cheeks. So when my oily t-zone finally catches up, it’s a mess. I do recommend for oily skin. Pros✅ Doesn’t feel dry afterwards Feels clean and fresh Gets my oily skin in check Cons: Price (it’s decent) Packaging (I can’t read what’s on it) I would purchase this again if it went on sale honestly.

Let’s be Nerdy about Kylie cleanser!! 🧐
I know many of us already have discarded @kylieskin Products for many reasons but I liked their packaging! It's truly similar to @glossier products and I find them cute, chick and simple! I decided to try their FOAMING FACE WASH KYLIESKIN - Foaming Face Wash ✨ I know some of you all maybe in love with it or some hate it because it's owned by her but do we really think it's that bad?? Or good? I have studied a bit and used it so that you don't have to: Here are my thoughts: Although the packaging is conventional and not eco-friendly, I think it's a lot of brands in the market so bashing them for their packaging is quite unfair for now. I looked at the ingredients list of this cleanser and I'm going to break it down for you so you get the idea for yourself whether it's something you wanna invest in or not: 🌸Ingredients and what they do: ✨Water/Aqua/Eau - It's basically water, most of the second cleansers are formulated with water. ✨Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate - Surfactant, this is what makes the cleanser foamy and makes it wash away all the oil based makeup residue, dirt and sebum. It comes from Coconut oil and Glycin. ✨Cocamidopropyl Betaine - This one is similar to second Ingredient, A surfactant. Does the same job and also comes from coconuts. ✨ Potassium Cocoate - One more Surfactant, comes from Coconut oil and mixed with Potassium salt. ✨Glycerin - Humectant, hydrating Ingredient, makes product slippery and hydrating ✨ Hydroxyacetophenone - Preservative and plant metabolizer (This must be lab synthesized as the line is Vegan and it naturally comes from Beavers) ✨ 1,2-Hexanediol - Humectant, Emollient and Preservative. Give a slippery creamy texture to the product also adds hydration. ✨ Caprylyl Glycol - Quite similar to Hexanediol, It's an emollient and a preservative, it comes fromm Coconut derived alcohol ( Don't be scared, this is a Hydrating agent not the bad alcohol 😉) ✨ Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate - Added as preservative ( there are so many repetitive functions of Ingredients and I don't know why she added these many preservatives in this cleanser) But not to be alarming, these are actually not so harmful or damaging so it's okay in my opinion. ✨Citric Acid - Vitamin C, Anti-oxidant, Brightening agent, also strengthens skin barrier. Cirtric acid is more acidic and lowers the PH of the cleanser in order for brightening effect. ✨ Polyquaternium-39 - Foaming agent, also a conditioner that gives the product smooth feel, Causes the product to have bubbles and surfactant qualities ✨ Fragrance (Parfum) - Well we all know this isn't it? It's straight up added synthetic fragrance. ✨Sodium Benzoate - Preservative ✨Actinidia Chinensis (Kiwi) Seed Oil - Omega 3 Oil, Nourishes and moisturizes skin. Full of fatty acids which again moisturizes. ✨ Sodium Hyaluronate - Form of Hyaluronic acid, Humectant, Draws moisture from air into the skin. It's perfect for this Ingredient to be at this lower percentage. It's usually low in any formulations, but more than 1%. It's at 2% in this product. ✨ Phenoxyethanol - Anto-mircobial, stabilizer and acts as a preservative and adds a little bit fragrance. Pheew... It's all nerdy, isn't it?? But I think it's fun to be nerdy when it comes to choosing a product or discarding it. 🌸Now What do I think?? It's a normal, foaming cleanser!! Nothing in it that makes it bad or stand out in light. Not even some good Ingredients. The ingredients list is pretty long and it has a lot of complex and repetitive Ingredients which in my opinion were unnecessary. also, it has some Vitamin C in it but I don't think Vitamins and Actives in any cleanser do anything significant. You either have to use them in other forms like serums, masks and toners to keep on your skin for longer time. So, any active in cleanser is not impressive for me. Also it has Kiwi seed oil, again, a very basic Omega 3 Ingredient that is going to save your skin from stripping. 🌸How is the function and feel? I find it quite good. It didn't strip my skin, which was very much expected from all the humectants and conditioning agents. It feels smooth and nice on skin. It washes the bare face, dirt and oil but will not remove your makeup so, beauties, First cleanse is important no matter what!! 😊 Do I think it's worth the money? I guess not, It's 24$ and for that price I expect my cleanser to be a little bit more than just a foaming wash off. I think I would not buy it again but the bottle I have, I'm enjoying it! What do you think of this product, let me know down below!! ❤️

Kylie Skin: A Closer Look (Part 2)
This is part two of a recent post about Kylie Jenner’s skincare line. This post will include a product that’s overall decent along with a surprising find and the infamous walnut scrub. KYLIESKIN - Face Moisturizer This moisturizer has a lightweight creamy texture which is suitable for normal to combination. The formula includes very good ingredients for moisturizing the skin and protecting its natural barrier. These ingredients consist of shea butter, jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, and silicone. -The formula could be better and more impressive with additional beneficial ingredients. -The product contains orange peel extract which can cause irritation to skin. KYLIESKIN - KYLIESKIN Hydrating Face Mask This has a creamy texture that does well to seal in moisture. The formula contains niacinamide which has many different capabilities, including the ability to stimulate ceramides for barrier strengthening and to improve dullness. A good dose of emollients is also included in the formula, one emollient is shea butter. -Formula contains soothing antioxidants. -Although this mask has a light cucumber melon smell, it can still be considered a fragrance-free formula. The raw ingredients that give the mask its scent are not known to have a negative reaction on the skin. KYLIESKIN - Walnut Face Scrub The product contains walnut shell powder where the unevenly shaped particles can tear away at the skin’s natural barrier. If that wasn’t bad enough, the formula also contains irritating orange and lemon extracts. -There are some good ingredients such as jojoba and apricot oils. The walnut scrub is really a disappointment considering that the other products is this line are more than just decent. I will do another review later on for four more products that I will be reviewing. Thanks for reading! :)

KYLIESKIN Face Moisturizer
Happy #pinkwednesday everybody I hope everyone is staying safe, healthy and wearing a mask! Today I’m going to talk about the @kylieskin moisturizer. This is a product that I don’t love but don’t hate. This product is just okay, it’s a very basic moisturizer it’s nothing unique. It just has some basic ingredients that you would find in a drugstore moisturizer like Shea butter, glycerin and hyaluronic acid. Which it’s not bad having a basic moisturizer I just expected more from this product. This product has a thicker texture and slight scent but you really can’t smell anything. I really like the light pink packaging but the pump was not the best. I would sit there and pump the bottle 10 times before I would get any product. That’s most likely because it is a thicker moisturizer so maybe a tub packaging would be better. In the end this product is good but not 24 bucks good, this moisturizer feels like a drugstore moisturizer tbh.i would recommend for you to try out some of their other products like the eye cream and milk toner! - - *DISCLAIMER* just because this product doesn’t work for me does note,an it won’t work for you. Everybody’s skin is different and needs different things. KYLIESKIN - Face Moisturizer

Pink ladies 💅🏼
Loving the packaging on these guys! Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color love this stuff, but not quite as much as expected. I got the puff color, and while I love the color, it’s too pigmented for me. I end up having to rub it all over my cheeks just to make the color a bit lighter, then half my face is pink, instead of just the spots I want. It may be user error though, so I’ll keep trying. It truly lasts throughout the day, and I love the texture—super smooth on my cheeks. KYLIE COSMETICS - Kylighter this is meh for me. Again, possibly too pigmented. It really just takes a single swipe of the brush and you are good to go with pretty intense highlight. fresh - Sugar Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15 I was so excited to buy this stuff because the reviews are amazing! However, since I was getting it more for the chapstick/SPF purposes, I wish it wasn’t quite so dark on my lips. It really looks like lipstick, but the color doesn’t last like a lipstick. tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush For the life of me, I cannot get this stuff to stick on my makeup brush. No color comes off, so I’ve pretty much given up on making it work. Hanskin - Hyaluron Skin Essence I use this when my skin is feeling extra dry, usually paired with my moisturizer! I haven’t noticed a huge difference when I use it, however. KYLIESKIN - Vitamin C Serum this is the first Vitamin C serum I have used, so I don’t have much to compare it to, and therefore don’t want to give it a super high or super low rating! I really like the consistency—it feels more like a moisturizer, but sinks into the skin quickly. It smells slightly odd, but that didn’t bother me. Overall, I think it was somewhat brightening for me, but I didn’t feel like I saw a major change. Glossier. - Wowder Weightless Finishing Powder love this stuff a lot on my skin, but the packaging is frustrating. It has sort of a net material on the inside, making it kind of difficult to get powder out. I do feel like it sits nicely on my face and lasts throughout the day, just wish I didn’t have such a hard time getting it out!

Kylie Skin: A Closer Look (Part 1)
This line of skincare products had a lot of controversy around it, especially when it comes to the infamous walnut scrub. I’m going to look through each product because a brand shouldn’t be defined by one product. KYLIE COSMETICS - Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen Oil As claims, this product easily rubs into skin leaving a slight glow because of oils derived from coconuts and kiwis. There is no white cast for this sunscreen due to the reliable synthetic agents which provide much protection. -Antioxidant rich oils such as those derived from kiwis and coconuts leaves skin smooth, soft, and slightly glowing. -Fragrance puts the skin at risk for irritation. -The high amount of denatured alcohol is problematic for skin since it’s a very stripping ingredient. KYLIESKIN - Vitamin C Serum This serum has a very lightweight lotion feel to it that is suitable for all skin types. Vitamin C is the second ingredient in the form of tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate. To support the vitamin C, the formula includes ferulic acid that helps to stabilize the vitamin C. -Fragrance-free. -Also includes safflower seed oil and vitamin E. -The formulation of this product would be better if it had more beneficial ingredients included. KYLIESKIN - Vanilla Milk Toner This toner is thankfully not like most common ones with harsh ingredients such as witch hazel, alcohol, or menthol. However, this product contains fragrance in the form of linalool and benzyl salicylate which are very irritating ingredients. -Milky texture works great for normal to more combination skin. -This product hydrates and smooths skin without any sticky residue. -Contains non-fragrant antioxidant planet extracts and oils such as those from apples, sweet almonds, kiwis, avocados, and apricots. -The brand also claims that it can unclog and minimize the appearance of pores, however, there are no ingredients in the formula that help with this. KYLIE COSMETICS - KYLIESKIN Eye Cream This is a fragrance-free eye cream that has a creamy texture, but absorbs very quickly. It also contains really good moisturizing ingredients such as shea butter, jojoba oil, and glycerin. -Includes two forms of vitamin C for its brightening effects. -The formula contains non-fragrant antioxidant plant extracts such as those from green tea, kiwis, and pomegranates. -It also contains very soothing probiotic ferments. -Unfortunately, this product doesn’t have as high amounts of beneficial ingredients as claimed. KYLIESKIN - Foaming Face Wash This cleanser is an alright cleansing option. It does well to remove dirt and excess oil without leaving. As claimed, the product also contains kiwi seed oil along with vitamins C and E. -Contains fragrance, which is an irritating component. Part Two will include a surprising find along with the controversial walnut face scrub. Thanks for reading :)

Brands I won't be reviewing (part 2)
I promised a part two to this (so if you haven't, take a look at part 1). I'm not saying you can't purchase these brands. I just personally won't be and consequently won't be reviewing them (because I buy everything I review). Juice beauty for not providing helpful customer service. I personally do not care for their brand after I got into skincare and bought their JUICE BEAUTY - Green Apple Brightening Gel Cleanser . As I got deeper into the skincare world, I found out that their second ingredient is citrus medica limonum (lemon juice) which is irritating and can cause photosensitivity. Even though it is a wash off treatment it has me skeptical because of how high on the ingredients list it is. I saw their ad on facebook and decided to politely voice my concern and ask why they felt it was a good ingredient. They not only deleted my comment, but banned me from being able to comment on their future ads. This to me shows a lack of transparency. I decided to take my concern and turn it into a review for their webpage. It has never been posted on their website even though it has been months ago. They have still only allowed 1 one star review on their website which shows me that the company filters their reviews. I know they are not the only brand that does this, but I do not care to support it. Kylie skin... There is a reason why I am skeptical about celebrity brands and this does not help. For one they made KYLIESKIN - Walnut Face Scrub and if you don't know for the most part physical exfoliants (unless uniformly shaped and edges have been rounded down on a microscopic level) are not good! They can leave microtears in your skin leaving your skin vulnerable. As you can imagine chunks of walnut are not good to use as an exfoliant and will be overly abrasive. Other products (KYLIESKIN - Detox Face Mask and KYLIE COSMETICS - KYLIE COSMETICS Broad Spectrum SPF 40 Face Sunscreen ) have been taken from other brands with very similar ingredients lists, but have been altered to be less effective and therefore cheaper (well the sunscreen was more of a direct copy of supergoop... Let's be real). Overall I'm not impressed. Her skincare isn't innovative and made for us in mind. Instead just used to line pockets of people who are already rolling in it. Mario Badescu secretly using steroids in their products which is extremely dangerous for their customers. Steroids for one should never be used on your face without a dermatologist’s recommendation or prescription. When used for a long period of time, it can lead to long term effects when not taken off of them correctly. When some people found this out, they had already been using their products for a long period of time and consequently, when switching to a new product, had long term effects. I also do not like any of their facial sprays (MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater ) because they are heavily fragranced.

Things that have been working for me. Kylie Skin Vanilla Milk Toner- I’m not sure that get a lot of benefits but it feels super nice on my dry skin. Skin feels moisturized. That’s all I have to say about it and that I like the scent. 2- Drunk Elephant Protini- improves my skin’s texture and it immediately feels like my skin it’s not dryer than usual. 3- Drunk Elephant B-Hydra- It adds a shot of moisture to my skin. Which I heavily need right now. 3- caudalie Vinoperfect Randiance Serum- It adds a subtle glow to my skin instantly and it combats my dark spots. 4- VII Code O2 Oxygen Eye Mask- Right now I have the flu and this makes my eye area look like nothing’s going on. It’s sorcery!

✨ kylie skin clarifying collection ✨ NEW!
the latest launch by kylie skin is their clarifying collection! this 3-piece bundle includes a clarifying facial oil, complexion correction stick, and detox face mask + brush I’ve used the correction stick + detox face mask enough to form a slight opinion, but keep in mind these just launched on august 6th! so there’s plenty of room for a change in opinion. the detox mask isn’t like your average charcoal mask. it doesn’t dry down completely, so when you wash it off your skin feels moisturized. I haven’t had a bad breakout in the last 2 months to test the “detox”-ness, but as an extra treat, it does just fine. the brush is also nice for spreading the thick product! the complexion stick is a newer concept that reminds me of the tried and true complexion stick by rosen, except this one is clear rather than white. I had a breakout on the tip of my nose and when I used this, it has vanished within 24 hours. was it just this product? who knows. too many variables that aren’t controlled to know for sure! I am a huge fan of facial oil, but honestly haven’t broken this one open yet. with the weather changing though, I’m excited to add this to my routine! it’s full of beneficial ingredients like salicylic acid and licorice root. over all, I’m impressed by the new launches by kylie skin, I think a lot of us thought it was just a one-launch brand. but they’re releasing new stuff and continuing to develop since last year so I’m excited to see what the future holds! #cheriecreator #cheriepartner KYLIESKIN - Clarifying Full Collection

Kylieskin foaming face isn’t for sensitive skin!
I received this in my June boxycharm a few days ago. I wanted to try this out and lucky for me it was an option for the boxes and I got it! I got this in the morning so I immediately used this to try it out. At first it felt really nice. It didn’t dry out my skin and felt smooth. Obviously I was happy that it worked for my skin. Right before bed my cheeks were kinda pink/red, I didn’t think much of it so I just did my night routine. The next morning I washed my face with it and in the afternoon my face started getting red again. I’ve used this for 4 days in a row and I really believe that this foaming wash has been a little too much for my skin. It has made my skin more sensitive than it is and today when I used a different cleanser it has made a huge difference. Maybe it’ll work for me if I use it twice a week or something but definitely not for a daily use. I was so scared that my skin would stay red and irritated for a while. So if you try this out be careful with it. If you have sensitive skin like me than maybe it wouldn’t work for you. KYLIESKIN - Foaming Face Wash

The first of the 4 products in the Kylie Skin Travel Kit that I am reviewing was chosen by you. The Vanilla Milk Toner has a milky, light lotion texture that provides light hydration. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft 🧴. ⁣ This is a great toner for anyone with normal to combo skin. I personally have dry skin and it did feel really nice I just prefer something that hydrates a little more. I would also like to note it does have some fragrance (smells amazing btw), which doesn’t bother my skin but it might for some of you. ⁣ ⁣ This is the perfect starter kit for anyone just starting out in skincare. You get all the basics in a cute mini size. ⁣

Welcome to the skincare fam!
Welcome to the skincare fam!
Received these goodies today in my Boxycharm Base box today and I’m so eager to incorporate them. into my beauty routine. Here are my first impressions: The KylieSkin cleanser has a light fragrance and is foamy, perfect as a second step in the double cleansing method at night or as a AM cleanser. The description said that this cleanser contains Vitamins C and E and kiwi seed oil. However upon further inspection, I saw in the ingredient list that there was no vitamin E listed. So that’s the one caveat I have the product. The bump eraser by First Aid Beauty was something I didn’t know I needed. This is perfect to use as the summer approaches and clothes become scarce lol. Definitely is an essential to show off glowy skin. I loved that it had 10% alpha hydroxy acids, important exfoliant that will help with pigmentation. I used the scrub in the shower after I lathered you with my soap and exfoliated my body, focusing on problem areas I wanted to lighten (dark inner thighs, armpits, knees). A little goes a long way. I found that a squirt can actually be used all over. After one use, my skin is noticeably smoother and somewhat bright. This is definitely a staple. The Tula glow & get it stick was okay in my opinion. I have tried nearly everything to fix my dark circles, to no avail. I hope with this product it will help alleviate some of it. I will say that this product was cool when applied to the under eye area which would help with de-puffing .
