The ordinary love✨✨
I cannot express enough my struggles with oily skin and acne. I’ve tried countless skin care products and nothing worked for me. My last try to fix my skin was using K-beauty products as much as I loved their products it just did not work for me. That’s when I tried The ordinary although I was skeptical at first but after seeing the results I was blown away by the change.
The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser
I begin my day with cleaning my face using this cleanser and it leaves my skin feeling hydrated and smooth. This can also be used as a makeup cleanser and it works as effectively as any other makeup remover.
Hylamide - Pore Flush
Acne prone skin certainly faces large pore issues and my skin was no different. This product helps reduce your pore size. I spray (or pat) this on my face after using the cleanser and within seconds it gets absorbed in my skin (I absolutely love love love that).
The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
It’s my personal opinion to use HA before using Niacinamide as it doesn’t leave your face feeling dry. Hydration is the key to achieve fresh looking soft skin and i achieved it using this product.
The Ordinary - 100% Niacinamide Powder
I’ve tried the niacinamide +zinc and it’s powder version too and tbh they both work great. Please note this product did not help me with my current acne but helped me control the sebum activity on my skin which in turn did not give me any new breakouts.
The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA
I can swear by this product 😍. It doesn’t leave my skin oily, doesn’t give me any breakouts and my skin feels soo smooth. I will 💯 recommend this product to anyone who struggles with oily and acne prone skin.
The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque
Any nose strip I used to get rid of my blackheads they ended up giving me a very oily t-zone 😓. I use this product once 2 weeks for 10 mins on my face and holy grain, it not only cleans my face but doesn’t leave it feeling dehydrated.
✨I have never overused any product on my skin and hence never faced any sort of dryness on my face. I’d certainly recommend trying these products. It’s a 10/10 for me.
I hope this helps you and do let me know your experience with this brand 💜

Pores pores and more pores
In the series of pictures above, you can see all the usual questions and answers about pores.
Pores are the bane of my existence and it’s so difficult to treat them so they look better and smaller. I was born with gigantic pores apparently which it was really hard to find out that they are genetic. You can treat them though! You just have to find the right products that work with your face.
It’s time we do what we can and then decide to love our pores and understand that size REALLY DOES NOT MATTER! ❤️
Things you can do:
Stay out of the sun and ALWAYS wear a good spf
Stop smoking 🚬 (inhaling nicotine on the regular dries out your skin, shrinking the blood vessels that deliver oxygen and nourishment. This deprives your skin of important nutrients and speeds the aging process.)
Look for products with charcoal and clay, which draw out impurities, or other pore-minimizing serums and face masks.
Exfoliate Exfoliate Exfoliate. This doesn’t mean everyday but if you want to minimize your pores, this is a step you don’t want to skip!
Use a daily toner with AHAS and BHAS
The drier your skin, the bigger they look so keep your skin hydrated.
Use non-comedogenic products that won’t clog pores.
Try niacinamide
My pore holy grail is Hylamide - Pore Flush I use this as my toner and it SERIOUSLY work!! See my previous review on this!
What is your favorite pore product? 💭

Niod FECC worth it??
I recently purchased NIOD - Fractioned Eye Contour Concentrate[] because I ran out of my Hylamide - SubQ Eyes I like my hylamide subq. but it is frequently sold out and I'm not sure the results were really amazing after using an entire bottle over 4 months. I do feel like after a few weeks of using my fine lines were getting less visible and I saw more results then I did with hylamide.
Unfortunately I had a huge setback when I tried a new eye cream on top of it and had a bad chemical burn from the new cream ( product discussed in my previous post).
Well my skin has healed enough to start my face routine again however due to the damage I have new lines and wrinkles I now have to fix. So I will update my review on FECC after I have used it again. From my previous results I have very high hopes for it.

THE ORDINARY SKIN JOURNEY
Hey y’all!
Fall/Winter season is amongst us, and I can’t be the only person who instantly feels the shift in skin texture/tone, and especially dullness with the weather change.
I’ve decided to toss my mediocre products, and start a new journey with THE ORDINARY. I’m the first to admit I’m SUPER anal when it comes to my skincare, but we all want close to perfect skin right?
Disclaimer - this is my FIRST time using their products. I was drawn to their products for the mere fact that their online skin care professionals actually take the time to discuss your skin concerns, and what could work best for you. I wanted products that would be EFFECTIVE, but didn’t break the bank. & I wanted a line that offers DIRECT ACIDS & POTENT SERUMS. So let’s get into it!
MY SKIN CONCERNS I WANT TO COMBAT;
signs of aging - I’m 28 years old, and I would say I actually have pretty good skin. But I want to slow down signs of aging such as, FINE LINES/WRINKLES, CROWS FEET, ELASTICITY etc
✨ for this I use the Hylamide - SubQ Skin Advanced Serum, followed by Hylamide - SubQ Eyes. Peptides are CRUCIAL for preventing signs of aging
dullness & faded dark spots - I use to break out quite frequently which often would lead to blemishes from acne or pimples. As of lately, I’ve been doing superb with these concerns due to another product I’ve been using (NOT TO WORRY, I’ll make a separate post) So for right now, I really want to maintain a healthy and even glow
✨ for this I use The Ordinary - Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%. Along with brightening your skin & enhancing radiance, this helps stimulate collagen, smooth fine lines, & even tone/fade pigmentation
visible pores - I have to say it, **YOU CANNOT CHANGE THE SIZE OF PORES** it’s hereditary. However, you can reduce the visibility by keeping those pores squeaky clean with great exfoliants/chemical peels to help regulate the production of oil & sebum
✨ for this I use the SERUM The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%. This product also helps in brightening and strengthening your skin’s barrier. I also use a DIRECT ACID The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 5% + HAto help as a power duo, specifically in the PM, 2-3 times a week
acne/blackheads/texture irregularities -
✨ for this I use a BHA The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% MasqueONCE a week. This is great for clearing of any blackheads/whiteheads on the skin by decongesting & clearing your pores from impurities, which usually leads to those pesky breakouts
SIDENOTE -> I’ve also started using their The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solutionwhich is AMAZING, & I’ll be doing a separate post about it.
I’ll be documenting my skin journey weekly, along with dropping some pics so you can see the progress (or not so progress). If you’d like additional info, or simply want to trade tips, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re in this skin journey together!
Here’s to healthy & radiant skin 🤎

HA Blur primer for oily skin
I struggle with super oily skin, and I’m currently finishing up week 3 of Tretinoin cream treatment so my skin is overly oily because it’s trying to compensate for the dryness the cream is causing.
I purchased this Hylamide - Ha Blur a few months ago and finally decided to try it out. I’m really working on getting my skin to its best so I don’t wear makeup very often, but I tried this primer on my skin without makeup just to see if it can help my oiliness. You don’t need a ton of product to put all over your face, just a little bit will do and the product goes on smoothly. At first, it has this awful and strong chemical smell but it goes away after a minute or two.
Ultimately, I think this primer does a really good job getting rid of the oiliness and shininess of my face, but my large pores are still pretty visible, which is somewhat of a disappointment. If you’re looking for something that’s going to control the shine and greasiness on your face, this is the product, but don’t expect it to fully blur your pores.

Guess Which One Is The Game Changing Niacinamide Serum?😆😆
Every one talks about Niacinamide these days. I bought two hyped Niacinamide products, just to see which one is better. They are The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and Hylamide - Pore Control which also contains 10% niacinamide. Both of these products are from the same company.
As for price, both of te 2 products are quite affordable.
TO-$5.90 for 30ml
Hylamide-$14 for 30ml
Effects: The Ordinary Niacinamide focuses on minimizing the appearance of pores and oil control (it's especially suitable for oily skin), while Hylamide Pore Control focuses more on minimizing the appearance of pores and moisturizing (for dry skin).
I almost finished them in just two to three weeks.
Experience:
Niacinamide irritates a little but it's tolerable, and it doesn't cause allergies or skin reactions.
Hylamide Pore Control feels better and does a much better job at moisturizing and minimizing the appearance of pores compared with The Ordinary Niacinamide.
I will definitely repurchase Hylamide Pore Control.
I have dry skin, so the oil control effect of The Ordinary Niacinamide is not really useful for me. I prefer Hylamide Pore Control.
Hylamide is originally a higher grade product compared with The Ordinary series of products. If you're after a better result and feeling, you can try buying the Hylamide or NIOD series of products, but if price is your main concern, try The Ordinary. I hope this is helpful, if you have any question, let me know🙂🙂

✨pores be gone✨
For upcoming reviews/blogging - INSTA BLOG @heyglowgeous Hylamide Pore Control is such an amazing serum - I use it every morning before I put on my makeup. I first spray Hylamide Pore Flush on clean & dry skin. When it dries, then I put on the serum. Once that dries I put on a light moisturizer. Then my skin is ready for makeup! It gives me the best base as it closes my pores and creates a flawless canvas! Give this routine a solid 2-3 weeks. You’ll see results, if not sooner!!

Lightweight moisturizer for summer
I’m new to The Ordinary. Heard so many great and positive things about the squalane and hyaluronic. Been using it for over two weeks and skin is softer.
