I have very oily face and I usually breakout around my cheeks and chin (mainly the bottom half of my face). I was thinking it could be due to wearing my mask :( willing to look into any advice regarding products i should try out or stop using! I’m open to anything really! Thank you 🥺 Products I have been using: AM routine Face wash: sebamed - sebamed Liquid Face & Body Wash Toner: ESKINOL - Refreshing Deep Facial Cleanser Serum: TREE OF LIFE - Hyaluronic Acid Serum - 72% ORGANIC & TREE OF LIFE - VITAMIN C SERUM Moisturizer: COSRX - Aloe Soothing Sun Cream SPF50 PA+++ PM Routine Face wash: sebamed - sebamed Liquid Face & Body Wash Toner: ESKINOL - Refreshing Deep Facial Cleanser Serum: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Moisturizer: TRADER JOE'S - Ultra Hydrating Gel Moisturizer with Aloe & Green Tea Extracts Spot treatment: equate - 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Treatment Gel
My Acne Transformation (January 2020-July 2020)
I thought for my first post on here I would share how I was able to tackle my stubborn acne and scars. Skin Care Routine (morning & night) I exfoliate everyday with my Neutrogena cleanser. Exfoliating everyday isn’t a great idea for every skin type, but since I have so much dry skin to get rid of it works for me! Next, I go in with a gentle toner from Nivea with a cotton pad all over my face excluding my eyes. Then I take my Vichy mineral 89 (OMG, I LOVE this stuff) and gently dab it into my eye area with my ring finger. Seriously guys, this stuff is a bottle of magic. My dark circles were pretty much completely gone after 2 weeks of using it. Next, I go in with my 10% benzoyl peroxide and place small pea sized amounts on both cheeks and my forehead. Rub it in with your fingers. Then, I take my acne spot treatment from Neutrogena and place it on the same areas as the benzoyl peroxide. Rub it in all over. I do this because I have many acne scars all over my face. Lastly, I moisturize all over my face AND neck using my Neutrogena Facial Moisturizer. And that’s it! I can’t tell you guys how much this routine has helped me and my confidence. Aside from knowing which products I’ve used, I think it’s also important to know the other ways to achieve the skin you want. I think the most important tip (and maybe the most obvious one?) I can give you is never miss a day. If there’s anyone like me out there who sleeps in their makeup sometimes, trust me your skin will hate you for it. It will make it seem like progress isn’t happening, when really there is but you’re causing new breakouts making it seem like nothing is happening! Another tip I should probably mention is maybe ditch the makeup for a while. I know it might seem weird and uncomfortable walking around with a bare face. But even if you were able to minimize your makeup routine to just a concealer, mascara and brows, you are allowing your skin to breathe and soak up that sunlight! Speaking of sunlight, my final tip is go outside and enjoy the sun on your days off (with no makeup of course)! When I went camping last weekend, being outside for a whole 3 days and getting an excellent tan really helped hide the acne scars on my face. Seriously, they’re barely noticeable now. And I bet you won’t be seeing them again for a long time! To end this post, I really hope my tips and routine helps you guys out and thanks for reading! :) VICHY - Minéral 89 Eyes Hyaluronic Acid Eye Gel Cream Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash Daily Scrub equate - 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Treatment Gel Neutrogena - Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne Spot Gel Neutrogena - Facial Moisturizer
Trying a new skincare line starting today
I’m staring a new skin care line today, I decided to try something new. And I’m going to post pictures every few days with an update of how I like the products. I washed my face with the wash this afternoon, and will post a video with my routine once I’ve used it longer before I fully recommend it. My first thoughts, though the face was is 2 oz a little goes a long way, two pumps was too much I’ll try one tonight. I love how it lathers, and how it’s a subtle scent, honestly hardly anything at all. It left my skin feeling clean and soft. I know a few other people who have tried it, and saw results quickly, and swear by it. I personally love the wash, there is a night serum that I’ll implement tonight. Now to get fair and honest results, I’m ONLY using this face wash and the serum, won’t use my Peels or any other acne fighting products, I’m really putting this to the test. Though, I will still use my vitamin c and sunscreen and night cream. The reason why I’m not revealing the products yet is because I want to put it to the test before I say “hey look at this!” I know we are all on here looking for advice, and products to try. And I personally have had it spending so much money on all there products trying to find what works. If these products preform well I’ll do a Name drop of not if you really want the names I’ll still do a name drop but I think this will be more fun posting more progress pictures that will lead to a product reveal! I will let you know the products I’ll be continuing to use.. VALJEAN LABS - Morning + Night Facial Oil sun bum - Face Lotion SPF 50 equate - PM Ceramide Moisturizing Facial Lotion
Adding Bio Oil to my routine 🧐
So, I’ve been doing a lot of research and reading tons of reviews on all kinds of products. I tried the Skin Journey scan, and my results were “very good.” It was shown that I have large pores and dark spots; Everything else was minimal. I started reading up on hyperpigmentation. Three really good things for dark spots are Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and Soy. I’ve owned this bottle of Bio Oil for a couple of months now. I used it a few times on my face, and honestly forgot about it. After doing some more research, I found that it’s got a lot of ingredients that are good for hyperpigmentation, such as Vitamin A & Soy. I already use a vitamin C serum, which also works really well with vitamin A. I’m incorporating Bio Oil back into my skincare routine. Last night, I cleansed, toned, applied my vitamin C serum, then the bio oil. Afterwards, my moisturizer, eye cream, & glow serum with hyaluronic acid. Apparently, when using bio oil, it takes a while to see results. I’m deciding to only use it during my PM routine as of right now. I’ll keep posting updates!
😍Dupe alert!!!!!!‼️☑️ I know how many people obsess over @briogeo Scalp revival shampoo which is basically a scalp cleansing scrub shampoo and what if I tell you, you can save 35.53$ for almost the exact same product 😍❤️ I love Briogeo Scalp revival shampoo and it's so cool in deep cleansing the scalp and exfoliating it which helps in healthier hair and promoted hair growth. But it was always a little expensive, 42$ for 8 oz. Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Scalp Scrub Shampoo I found a similar product at Walmart, @equate Scalp care Exfoliating and Detoxifying shampoo, which read the exact same description as Briogeo one and had the same 8 oz size but was only 6.47$. equate - Scalp Care Exfoliating & Detoxifying Shampoo I was a bit skeptical initially. I purchased it just to try it out and compare whether it really works the same way as Briogeo and to my sweet surprise it did! The formula and texture of both is truly identical. The way they both exfoliate a little and lather up is also similar. 🌾Here's a detailed comparison: 🍂Texture : They both have gritty, charcoal infused creamy texture. When rubbed between fingers you can feel the grains that help exfoliate scalp. 🍂Feel and function: They both lather up well and rinse away all the dirt, oil and hair build up. The micro grains wash off with water and don't stick to hair. 🍂Experience after wash: I found Briogeo to be a little more hydrating than Equate one but for my Oily hair and scalp, I liked Equate one better. They both give hair a clean, deep cleansed feel. Both work on dry, flakey scalp as well as Oily one. Because of the peppermint, it feels cooling and soothing on scalp when you apply it. 🍂Ingredients and formulation: Because @equate Scalp care shampoo is designed and formulated to be the dupe of @briogeo's Scalp revival, the formula of briogeo is reverse engineered and altered a little to create @equate Scalp care. They both have similar highlighted Ingredients except a few like: Briogeo has Binchotan charcoal to draw impurities from the scalp whereas Equate has conventional charcoal. Apart from the Charcoal type, both of these have Vegetable-derived micro-exfoliators, a cooling blend of peppermint and spearmint oils, tea tree oil, Coconut oil, Panthenol and Castor oil I know it might seem a bit off-putting to know they have literally copied Briogeo but these days there are plenty of products in the market inspired to be dupes for lesser prices. I don't mind using this scrub as I have seen no major difference in both of their work. They do the same job for different prices. Would you use this dupe??
Updated Hair routine! Added new Drugstore items
I was looking into Walmart few months back for some affordable shampoos. I picked these up and let me tell you, these products have been a great pick for my 2B curly hair! My hair is silky, smooth and shiny now. I have really oily scalp (Comes from my oily face) and I really need a shampoo that cleanses the oil while keeping my ends frizzfree. These are solving the issue 👍 1. @suave Daily clarifying shampooSuave - Essentials Daily Clarifying Shampoo - This is amazing. I didn't expect it to work so gently on my hair. It cleanses oil off my scalp without over drying it. Also, I haven't had dandruff and flakey scalp in years, this didn't bring it either. It has very gentle Marine (Aqua) and sweet smell to it, nothing overwhelming. I like it's clear blue gel texture and it lathers quite well. And if you experience your hair a bit too dry the next product will help you with that. 2. Pantene 2 minute miracle PANTENE - 3 Minute Miracle Daily Moisture Renewal Daily Conditioner - This conditioner is a cheap dupe for many High end, luxury conditioners out there. This may not be that out performing but this definitely gives your hair a botox in an affordable price. It glides on hair like butter and when you wash your hair after 5-7 minutes, your hair will be silky soft, detangled and frizz free. This also doesn't have any overwhelming fragrance. 3. Sauve Tropical coconut Nourishing shampooSuave - Essentials Tropical Coconut Infused With Coconut Extract & Vitamin E Shampoo - Works similar to other one 4. Equate Scalp care Exfoliating and detoxifying shampoo equate - Scalp Care Exfoliating & Detoxifying Shampoo - This is an interesting product as it is an exact Dupe (inspired and taken the idea directly from Briogeo Scalp revival Micro - exfoliating shampoo) . I bought this because I wanted to try if there's any drugstore scalp scrub that works in cleaning the scalp dirt, oils and dry shampoo and I found this. I immediately grabbed this as It claims to be exact dupe of Briogeo one. I agree. It is quite similar to the Briogeo shampoo which gently scrubs scalp as a shampoo. This has Mint in it so it feels cooling on scalp when you use it. It lathers quite well and has micro beads. I really enjoyed this product. If you want a cheap scalp scrub and a Dupe for Briogeo scalp exfoliator, this is the one. 5. Nelson J Beverly hills Moisture healing mask nelson j BEVERLY HILLS - Argan Oil 7 Moisture Healing Mask - This you can get at walmart for 10.95 and it's amazing. This gives a high end hair spa feel to your every wash. This makes my hair super soft, Shiny and silky. This is creamy in texture and nourishes hair in just few minutes. You can see how my locks and hair texture is smooth and silky after using this mask. You can use this as a hair spa treatment before shampoo or after shampoo as conditioner. I really enjoyed using it. These all picks are affordable and are working great for me. 💖
💀 𝖍𝖆𝖚𝖓𝖙𝖊𝖉 𝖍𝖞𝖌𝖎𝖊𝖓𝖊 🦠
🎃𝕳𝖆𝖕𝖕𝖞 𝕳𝖆𝖑𝖑𝖔𝖜𝖊𝖊𝖓 𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖗𝖞𝖔𝖓𝖊! Good hygiene is rudimentary & necessary for everyone. For those of us suffering from acne, it can be a constant chore to keep bacteria away from our faces. Scary!🦠 I used to get intermittent breakouts & pimples throughout my 20s from a combination of things like partying a lot, staying up all night finishing projects for school & sleeping in my makeup constantly... Since those days, I have a solid skincare routine, don’t wear makeup much & I have learned so much about the hygiene steps it takes to have clearer skin. 🧫Most of what we learn about forming basic hygiene practices is from our upbringing. Growing up I knew my house was dirtier than other kids, but didn’t quite see the disservice my parents did until I was older. We can’t physically see bacteria, so it’s easy for some of us to put it out of our minds throughout the day. 🧼In addition to washing your face twice a day etc... I made some slides about hygiene tips to remember with help from Hello Kitty🎀 My skin has improved so much with these steps: 1. WASH YOUR HANDS ! Pretty obvious. We should all be doing it considering the current circumstances anyways. I actually always wash my hands before I wash my face. 2. CLEAN FACE TOWELS I lived with my parents briefly last year, what a nightmare... My dad was always using my cute face towels to wipe his hands after working construction & shit... I couldn’t get him to stop, even adding a second towel didn’t help. Now my roommate totally respects my towel & understands that a clean face towel is crucial to keeping my skin clear. A damp towel allows bacteria to proliferate. Face towels can be quite inexpensive, grab as many as you need depending on how often you do laundry🧺 3. CHANGE THOSE SHEETS Ideally everyone would change their sheets once a week. I’m sure we all know some people ( I’m looking at you straight men ) that wait a lot longer than that... If you have body acne, you may want to change them 2x weekly. Your body is constantly shedding dead skin cells, about 1.5 million every hour. Sleeping in clean pajamas can prevent some transfer, but if you toss & turn a lot, you could be shedding even more. 4. AND THE PILLOWCASE ! I change my sheets once a week, but I change pillowcases at least twice as often. No matter what type of pillowcase you use, at least a weekly wash is a MUST! In my college days I was always crashing at my guy friends apartments, & often carried my TP 🧻in my backpack... in retrospect I wish I had my own pillowcase (& face towel) because I swear I got a pimple every time I slept at my one friends place😩 5. EXTRA MEASURES IF YOU HAVE PETS I let all my animals in my bed I can’t help it but try to keep em off the pillows! 6. SANITIZE YOUR STUFF I always have alcohol pads on hand! These are great for spatulas & tools. 7. +SURFACES Light switches, handles etc. 8. WASH MAKEUP BRUSHES Properly cleaning your makeup brushes frequently is so crucial for clear skin!
My PM routine + makeup removal & exfoliant
If I’ve worn makeup, I use the Pond’s cold cream and remove it with a hot towel. I 1. I remove any makeup with POND'S - Cold Cream Cleanser and remove it with a hot towel. 2. I apply Safflower Oil to my patted dry face to oil cleanse thoroughly. 3. I finish my double cleanse with up&up - Deep Cleaning Acne Treatment . I lather up one pump and work it all over my face, hairline, jawline and neck. 4. I apply HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Facial Toner to a dry cotton square and sweep all over. 5. I use up&up - Pore Cleansing Strips to exfoliate my pores. If anything, I tend to not exfoliate enough. I pretty much use these when it’s been a while and I remember. 6. I tone the nose again with HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Facial Toner 7. I apply a small amount of DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream 8. I pat 3 drops of tarte - Maracuja Oil into my palms, rub together, and pat into my skin. Tada!✨

Here’s what I’m working with atm to achieve skin mostly free of breakouts. I’m not treating any particular concern with these products and I find they work well for my skin type. I hope to build from here as I learn more about skincare. -up&up - Deep Cleaning Acne Treatment or equate - Deep Cleaning Facial Cleanser -HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Facial Toner -Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer or Neutrogena - Bright Boost Moisturizer with Sunscreen SPF 30 -RAW SUGAR - Organic Lip Balm Raw Coconut + Mango I chose the acne wash because I was breaking out and as it turns out, the salicylic acid works well with my skin type. The deep cleaning facial cleanser from Equate Beauty has the same active ingredient—they’re basically the same product imo 🤫 I keep one in the shower. I’ve learned that supporting your skincare routine with gentle, hydrating cleansers and toners (and moisturizers) will help spotlight the actives you end up incorporating. I switch between the moisturizers depending on whether I want spf that day or not. I’m starting out with the things I already had at home. I was gifted the lip balm and I like the way it smells.

✨Cocoa Oil Gel ✨
Wanna smell like a snack? Here you go! This by far is my favorite post-shower body gel. It’s an oil in a gel form that has the smell of cocoa. Very smoooth on your skin and smells soooo good. Keeps you moisturized like a baby for a long long time. I prefer using it after I shower. Strongly recommended. I bought it from Walmart for less than $3 !!

Night Skin: Tan and Refine (III/III)
This is my march night skin routine Part III Skin type: Oily, Acne, scarring, pores 🌙 Night Skin Tan and Refine 🌙 The Products 1) ST.TROPEZ - Self Tan Purity Vitamins Bronzing Face Serum Wake up with glowing, tan skin with a noncomedogenic serum that has skin improving vitamins like C and D. Not terribly pricey, and much safer than sticking your face in a tanning bed 2) DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel on a Dermatologists recommendation 6 years ago, I began this serum that has changed my skin from hormonal and cystic acne to smooth skin. Very, very effective 3) equate - 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Treatment Gel Can be drying, but sometimes you need those annoying zits to dry out and go away. Active ingredient of Benzoyl Peroxide kills acne bacteria. this generic version is also very affordable. 🌙 I use self tanner on my body, so use a self tan serum on my face as well to match the color. I love the St. Tropez serum because it also has vitamins C and D 🌙 I top that off with one pump of my Adapalene gel. Also known as Differein, this product increases skin cell turnover and is effective at treating acne. Mine is prescription grade, but there are non prescriptives on the market. I have been using this for six years now, and it certainly works 🌙 And finally, if i have any problem spots or current breakouts on my face, I top it off with a little bit of Benzoyl Peroxide Gel to kill the bacteria and speed the recovery process. And then i go to sleep Please see my profile for in-depth individual product breakdowns!

MORNING ROUTINE ✨
Good Morning 🌞🌻 This morning I did my normal routine with an extra cleanser to get stubborn make up off. I have tagged all the products used besides the “Organic LiviaOne Topical Spray Probiotics” because it didn’t show up on the list. I use it at the end when i finish my routine for a final refresher. I got mine from amazon and it is GREAT! I use it everyday day but especially if i have any break outs, dry skin or just would like a refresher. my first time using it I had one pimple (caused from my cycle coming) and I sprayed my face with it after just washing it once in the shower and in just ONE DAY my pimple was gone. I’ve heard really great reviews from other people with Cystic Acne and they say it works really well for that too! HIGHLY RECOMMEND⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I also couldn’t Tag the Vitamin E oil that I used on my face but I got it from CVS for $4. I use it for extra moisturizer considering i just had a ton of makeup on 🙃 I like to use it under my moisturizers and i don’t use a lot because I’m combining it with the Clean and Clear Moisturizer. KISS YOUR HAIR GOODBYE!
It is finally summer and what a year it has been! Now is the time for short shorts and mini-skirts, and smooth, flawless skin! If you are here as a beginner, PERFECT! I have curated for you the best products you need to get started on hair removal! For a beginner, shaving is the best way to get rid of body hair and if done right, it can be harmless and easy. I like this method because it doesn’t require skills like threading does, or a machine for waxing. For my body hair, I always shave after a short soak in hot water. This opens up my pores and reduces the risk of the horrid in-grown hairs that can be quite painful. I follow this with exfoliation for a close shave. For exfoliation, I personally use a homemade exfoliator of sugar, coffee, and honey. I love this exfoliant as they are not necessarily gentle on the skin for my hands and legs which I prefer, and it smells so good!! It is also very easy to make, you just need to mix all the ingredients together and you can make it as course or smooth as you like! I then use my Equate shave gel which is coconut scented and absolutely delightful. It foams up once applied to the skin, and a few dollops should have u covered (pun intended!). This product lasts very long which is one more thing that I love about it! I recommend this product for beginners because it costs only $2 so you have the option to use it as a trial and see if it works for you. To shave, I use the BIC Soleil four-blade (just $6 for a pack of 3!) razor twice; once along the direction in which my hair grows, then a second time against the grain. Personally, I feel the combination of this four-blade razor and gel does a wonderful job and my skin is silky smooth after every shave! Once I finish my shave, I love to moisturize while my pores are still open from the warm bath. I love the Vaseline Cocoa Radiant body moisturizer for this because it really locks in all the moisture necessary after a shave. It is such an amazing product because it is light and non-greasy which helps soothe the freshly shaven skin, and I love to stock up on this product and buy the 32 FL OZ which is only $9! This routine will give you flawless skin, perfect for the summer season! I love these products and I honestly feel you do not need expensive products, because these ones get the job done just as well!
