A Not-So-Holy Grail
DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Cream I had used almost an entire container of this before I gave up and found a new moisturizer. I found that I had to apply it 5 times a day to avoid having my skin feel like it wasn’t cracking. I tried using it with rosehip oil (grease city) and DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum which is one of the worst products I have ever used. I felt oily and sticky and I started breaking out badly. I appreciate Drunk Elephant’s commitment to ‘clean products’ and the environment but I have yet to use a product from their line (I also tried DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum which buuuurned) that did anything but harm my skin. I have very reactive skin and I thought this line was made for me. In fact, it was most definitely not made for me. (If you are curious, I now use onekind - Dream Cream Nighttime Moisturizer as my night cream. 2/3rds of the cost and four times the results.) I am baffled by DE’s positive reputation. What has your experience been?
My skin cabinet
Hey y’all This is my skin cabinet. As you can see it has a lot of samples from Ipsy and Sephora and only a few full sized products as I am new to skin care and I am trying out a lot of things to see what works for my skin. I wear a cpap mask and I have a hard time with pimples only under where I wear the mask. I am not acne prone but seem to get it only when I trap the oils. So far I love face masks and use them whenever I’m stressed out. The whole bottom shelf are different face masks I have tried and I have reviewed most on here. I am still learning about serums and oils so my middle row is a lot of products that will hydrate and moisturize my face. The top is mostly gentle cleansers. I rotate my use of these cleansers but my skin seems to love them all. My make up peg board is all tarte products that I bought full size. I love tarte because it matches my skin well and I don’t break out with continued use. I don’t wear make up a lot but still keep samples from Ipsy on the size in the buckets are lip samples, primer samples, and blushes. On the right in the cat vase are my brushes, mascaras, and liners. I am working through my samples right now and trying to see what I like so that hopefully in time I will buy full sized products for a routine that will work for my combination skin. I already know most acne geared skin care is too strong for my face and makes things worse. If anyone else has recommendations for maskne all would be appreciated.

Welcome To The Mask-erade
First: I have dry/combination skin that is very very reactive. I’ve been looking for a good mask for ages and have had a lot of struggles. All of these masks are fragrance free and four of them are vegan. DR ROEBUCK'S - ULURU Thin, didn’t do anything and unfortunately I waited too long to try it and can’t even return it now. There went US$28. Also gave me ‘brownface’ which is one of my mask pet peeves. Follain - Ultra Hydrating Mask: Restore + Soften Moisturizing but it sat on my skin all night and never absorbed. Good consistency but slightly greasy. I tried it three times and washed it off in the middle of the night because I couldn’t stand the feeling every time. COSRX - Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask I have used this a couple times. Nice consistency that is easy to apply, absorbs well, no smell. I just haven’t seen any results yet. teamí - Green Tea Blend Detox Mask Really thick and kinda hard to spread. A little tingly at first but then it fades. Gives me Rihanna-esque skin and a glow that lasts three days but is VERY drying for my skin type. I rec it but be prepared to moisturize after. Like three times with you heaviest moisturizer. onekind - Pore-fectionist Refining Facial A great medium consistency that is very easily spread. Barely a tingle but it fades quickly. Gives a nice, low key glow and doesn’t require as much post-mask moisturizer as the teami. I got a sample from the brand but my impressions are my own. Will definitely be purchasing a full size. Last pic is me post-mask without any makeup. Hope this helps you to clean out your pores and get your glow on!
I would pass on this lip mask
The primera - Clean Berry Lip Mask left me pretty disappointed. It looks promising but the texture is gritty and was super off putting for me. Plus I felt like it got all over my teeth at night, and my lips were still dry in the morning. It wasn’t particularly moisturizing upon initial application either. However, I have been loving the ROSEN SKINCARE - Tropics Toner quite a bit! I feel like it’s been helping to even out my skin tone, but does leave a slight orangish residue when I go to cleanse my face at night if I use it in the morning. I don’t notice it on my skin though.
Onekind Refining Facial Pink Clay AHA/BHA
Onekind Refining Facial Pink Clay AHA/BHA is not like your typical thick clay mask. This one is very light weight but mighty!!!! This mask has been helping me combat those pesky mini breakouts. I love the cool and smooth feeling after I wash it off. Ingredients: •Pink kaolin + bentonite clays •Salicylic acid (willow bark extract) and lactic acid •Barley seed extract onekind - Pore-fectionist Refining Facial

Best Nighttime Repair Moisturizer
The Dream Cream Nighttime Moisturizer from @onekind.us is my night routine staple these days. It’s perfect for that overnight moisture repair. It’s fragrance free moisturizer and rich in natural oils such as rosehip, sunflower, sesame, olive, coffee, sweet almond, lavender, chamomile and so much more! I can feel my skin calm and healed from irritation and redness when I did. It’s best to use it with your favorite oil when sleeping to get maximum results overnight. I also like partnering this with their PM Serum with retinol and peptides. PS: They’re currently sending free one mask to your chosen love one whenever you buy one for yourself. onekind - Dream Cream Nighttime Moisturizer

KEY INGREDIENTS: ONEKIND DREAM CREAM
Onekind Dream Cream Nighttime Moisturizer K E Y I N G R E D I E N T S . Squalane: It is a natural skin hydrator that keeps our top layer of skin hydrated, moisturized & protected. It’s ideal for all skin types. It’s non-comedogenic (won’t break you out) and helps to fight free radicals in the environment. Rosehip Oil: A pressed seed oil extracted and processed from a rose plant. It helps to brighten and even out skin tone, heals and boosts collagen production. It’s also ideal for all skin types. Chamomile, Aloe Vera & Barley Seed: All of these ingredients help to calm the skin, soothe any irritations from outside stressors and seal in moisture. Also ideal for all skin types. Clearly, from all the key ingredients you can tell that this cream is nourishing, hydrating and calming on the skin. I love using this cream at night because it just feels so lush. It’s not a very thick cream but your skin will still feel protected (and dewy!) after application. I got my boyfriend to start using this cream too because the ingredients are just so well-rounded so it’s easy for me to convince him to use it (instead of 5 different products for 5 different purposes). I highly recommend checking on this cream! ✨
Nothing like curling up with a book and a face mask. ✨ I like this onekind - Pore-fectionist Refining Facial because it doesn’t make my skin tight or dry during it and seemed to give my skin a subtle glow afterwards. I’ve also been liking the Murad - Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture for Eyes because it’s moisturizing without being too heavy. Also the jar is huge and is going to last forever. 😂 I’m on the fence with the SKINFOOD - Peach Sake Pore Serum because it might be breaking me out unfortunately, so I’ve been using it too sporadically to really say. It does tighten pores and mattify skin if you’re an oily girl like me!
