The Ultimate Anti-Pollution Routine
Air pollution isn’t just bad for your lungs but also for your skin. Because air pollution particles are so small, they can get stuck in our pores and cause all sorts of problems, like acne, skin sensitivity, dark spots, dehydrated skin, dull/uneven skin, and even premature wrinkles! Here is how I incorporate anti-pollution skincare into my routine: Use a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher. Every. Single. Day. You’ve heard it many times before, but SPF really is one of the most important skincare products you can use. It delivers sun protection and fights against pollution-generated free radicals, which can damage our skin’s DNA and accelerate the aging process! My favorite high-SPF sunscreens are theSupergoop! - Superscreen Daily Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 40 PA+++ and theelta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 , both of which feel hydrating but not heavy on the skin. Add antioxidants to your routine. Antioxidants are another way to reduce the damage caused by free radicals and combat visible signs of aging. Popular antioxidant ingredients include vitamin C, retinol (vitamin A), niacinamide, and vitamin E. If you’re worried about irritating your skin, you can start with a less concentrated vitamin C serum, like the dear, klairs - Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Drop , which you can use in the morning (as long as you follow it with SPF). If you prefer to use vitamin C at night, try thePAULA'S CHOICE - Resist C15 Super Booster , which has a higher concentration of vitamin C to protect your skin. For sensitive skin, I would recommend niacinamide, a widely tolerated antioxidant, like the Cos De BAHA - Niacinamide 10% Serum or The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% If you have dry skin, try rosehip seed oil: It has vitamin C, A, and E and locks in moisture. My favorite is The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil Make sure you’re effectively cleansing your skin. Of course, the best way to stop pollution from affecting your skin is to make sure you remove it from your face every day. Try double cleansing (using a cleansing oil first and then a water-based cleanser after) to gently but thoroughly cleanse your skin of any dirt and pollution that have built up on your skin throughout the day. If you’re new to double cleansing, I recommend trying a cleansing balm, like the FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm . It’s less messy than a liquid oil, and it’s really satisfying to see how the balm turns into an oil to remove makeup, sunscreen, dirt, and who knows what else from your face. Then follow up with a gentle water-based cleanser, like the Cerave Foaming Facial CleanserVANICREAM - Gentle Facial Cleanser Do you use anti-pollution skincare products? What do you want to try next?

my am routine
This is my improved morning routine after joining the cherie beauty community! I've added a serum, an eye cream, and an spf, as well as switch my cleanser and toner. I don't wear makeup regularly, but until this routine I've struggled with acne, enlarged pores, and dark circles. I've seen such an improvement. Step one CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser I used to use Burts bees sensitive skin cleanser, but the cerave one is much more hydrating and a better price. Step two HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Facial Toner I used to use thayers, but I was made aware of how drying it is, and sure enough, this one is much more soothing to my skin. Step three Cos De BAHA - Azelaic Acid 10% Serum with Niacinamide Acne Scar Removal + Redness Relief Face This serum is amazing. I credit it for the amount my pores have shrunk, and it's affordable! Step four ORIGINS - GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff The difference is subtle, but I do think it helps my puffiness and dark circles. Step five WELEDA - Skin Food Light The most amazing moisturizer I have ever used!! So hydrating and soaks into my skin so well. Step six Krave - The Beet Shield This is such a great option for spf. The vitamin c in the formula makes my skin glowy, and it spreads so well. Honestly I'm really happy with the results of this routine. I'll share my pm routine with you guys soon 💖

Tired and Wired: my fave azelaic acid product
Tired: The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% I used it for a week, and the silicone suspension clogged my pores and made my acne waaaaaayyyyyyyyy worse. I had more than 10 new pimples for in just the 7 days I used it for. Wired: Cos De BAHA - Azelaic Acid 10% Serum with Niacinamide Acne Scar Removal + Redness Relief Face I ordered this on Amazon, and I really like it. It's gentle, but incredibly effective. The texture is a little sticky, but it absorbs super well alongside moisturizer. My only problem with it is that I have to make sure my hands and face are dry because otherwise it lathers up. I will defs be purchasing this again.

Vascular Dark Circles VS Pigment Dark Circles
The result of various factors, dark circles are a very common beauty problem among women in particular. They appear as a darker color and/or puffiness around the lower eyelid. We often talk about tiredness or stress, but these are not the only causes of dark circles. Most options available are a “one size fits all” type treatment not taking into consideration what type of Dark Circles you have. Until I actually did my research, is when I discovered what type I have and what ingredients work for it, and that most Eye Creams don’t specify which will work for which. So I wanted to share with you So I have Vascular Dark Circles. these type of dark circles that have a blueish hue due to Dilated blood vessels that sit close to the thin under-eye skin. The skin under your eyes is the thinnest skin on your entire body, and as we age the skin can become thinner. Dehydration, not getting enough sleep etc can cause blood to pool in the vessels under the skin, which can worsen their appearance. These types of dark circles usually occur to people who have a more fair skinned complexion. The top of ingredient that have helped me the most is Vitamin K. Vitamin K helps with blood coagulation and circulation. So using an eye cream with Vitamin k increases circulation and reduces the appearance of dark circles. In searching for Eye Creams with Vitamin K, there isn’t a bunch of products available compared to the amount of eye creams on the market, which confuses me since this ingredient is proven. Other good ingredients to use are Caffeine, Vitamin C, Niacinamide, Arnica and Retinol. So I use a Vitamin K eye cream in the AM and at night I use a Retinol cream, because Retinol not only helps with fine lines and wrinkles but it also stimulates collagen production, to help with the thin skin under the eye. The second type which is the Pigmented Dark Circles or hereditary/genetic dark circles due to excess pigmentation in the skin and usually effects people with a more darker complexion. Sun exposure can make them appear darker, as well as rubbing your eyes can worsen them. These type of dark circles you’ve had or noticed since a young age. Since the skin is actually darker you need ingredients to actually lighten the skin color itself. In order for your dark circles to gradually produce less pigment and not become darker overtime is to use certain lightening products, which have ingredients like hydroquinone acid, kojic acid and Vitamin C. Kojic acid can help make hereditary dark under-eye circles less noticeable by blocking the production of melanin (the substance that gives the skin its color) Retinol can also help as well. A more severe option like Laser treatments also help. It’s important to know that both types you can never really get rid off, but you can treat them with certain ingredients to make them better and to prevent them from worsening. Improvements! Looking for feedback
Improvements! Looking for feedback
So if you look at my previous post, my skin is combination and the products I was using were drying out my skin. I took some of the advice to use the niacimide 10% serum and I think that’s helped out a lot! I have been using frozen pieces of aloe Vera, cotton pads soaked in lemon and water and then the oils that are tagged in this post. The only thing I am still annoyed with is the black heads that I can’t seem to get rid of, and the size of my pores in my t zone. Any advice? Dark under eye circles
Dark under eye circles
I’ve had dark circles and wrinkles under my eyes since I was about 12, that’s when my insomnia got real bad, so after discovering skincare I decided to try cerave eye repair cream and have definitely seen a slight increase in volume under my eyes so after about a month of using it I’ve decided to add retinol and niacinamide, it’s only been one treatment since starting retinol and I’ve started to see some small improvements! My niacinamide arrives tomorrow. Cos De BAHA - Niacinamide 10% Serum CeraVe - Eye Repair Cream I wish it was a bit more intense but otherwise greatThe Ordinary - Retinol 0.2% in Squalane Non-irritating, safe for sensitive skin

My Amazon Skincare Favorites!
My Amazon Skincare Favorites!
Hey guys!! Long time no post hahaa, I hope everyone is doing well! So today I’m going to talk about my favorite serum and facial oil from.... you guessed it! AMAZON! 🤍 Niacinamide + Zinc serum from Cos De Baha- -This serum is honestly my favorite Niacinamide + Zinc combo because it did not break me out like The Ordinary’s serum. I suffer from fungal acne so all the skincare products I use have to be 💯 fungal acne safe! -This serum has a clear kind of sticky texture, it goes on kind of tacky but that’s okay with me! It gives me a nice glow to my skin which I absolutely loooveee! -You can find this serum on amazon for about 8-9 dollars, it’s pretty cheap compared to other serums and it has worked wonders for me, in my opinion better than The Ordinary! (: 🤍Timeless Skincare’s Pure Squalane Oil- -If you suffer from fungal acne, then you KNOW Squalane oil is the absolute best thing for you! Squalane oil is a very lightweight oil that does not clog pores, and trigger yeast overgrowth in your skin ( malassezia folliculitis ) aka Fungal Acne 🙄! -I’ve been using this for about a year now, works wonders for me, gives me a nice glow and most of all moisturizes my skin! I like to add a couple drops to my moisturizer at night and smother it all over my face! Seriously I love this stuff. I wake up with amazing skin! -You can find this on amazon for about 12 dollars, a bit expensive but you do get what you pay for! I just received my backup bottle today. Just incase! (:
