Favorite curl gel so far
So if you had seen my last post about the Miss Jessie’s product I use you’d know that I love the product but wanted a little bit more hold. Well since that post I have purchased the AS I AM - Curling Jelly Coil and Curl Definer
I absolutely LOVE this gel. It’s very thin and watery so it’s not too heavy of a gel that would weigh down the waves in my hair. I used a good amount of it today and I was expecting my hair to turn into a big crunchy mess but it didn’t do that at all! The waves are a bit more separated and the hair around my face curled up a bit more. It smells good and my hair feels even better

This is an awesome Coconut wash off conditioner.
What I mostly like is the SMEEL. The coconut smell is the best and it is very smooth. Nothing big but I really love it.💗 I will be posting more about Skincare.

Three Common Hair Questions Answered!
I've been getting quite a few questions all pertaining to haircare. So I thought I would take the time to dive into a few of the most common that I have been hearing from you guys.
Q: How do I enhance my curls and avoid frizz?
A: Curly hair is naturally dry, so moisture is the key to making your curls happy. There are a few things you can do to promote healthier and hydrated curls. Use a sulfate-free shampoo or Co-wash like AS I AM - Coconut Cleansing Conditioner to prevent it from stripping natural oils from the hair. Conditioner like SheaMoisture - Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine Conditioner specially formulated for curly hair will have extra moisturizing properties. Curls - Blueberry CURL Control Paste Styling gel is excellent for controlling frizz and flyaways.
Q: Is there any way I can make my hair grow faster?
A: Sadly, no, but not all hope is lost. You may not be able to grow your hair faster, but you can make sure that the hair you have makes it to a longer length. A diet that is rich in Zinc and Biotin keeps the hair healthy enough to meet its full potential.
Q: I want to grow my hair longer but my ends get really damaged and eventually split. Do I have to get it cut?
A: unfortunately, you have to cut it to grow it. After five weeks of growth with no trim, you will get bigger split ends, and you will have to cut more off in the long run. It may not seem like it, but you end up saving time and length by trimming every 3-4 weeks.

My skin care routine for GLOWY Skin - inexpensiv
Most products are super inexpensive!
Neutrogena - Fragrance Free Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes These are the best makeup remover wipes in my opinion. They are moisturized just enough and helps me get rid of stubborn mascara. Others I’ve used aren’t wet enough like these.
Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub This has always been my holy grail, my go-to .. I don’t think I will use anything else for right now. It really cleanses my face and gets all the dirt/makeup off.
I love witch hazel - it evenly tones out your skin tone and helps you keep a youthful look. I also just like that extra clean feel when using it. These are my top two - DICKINSON'S - Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner
THAYERS - Cucumber Facial Mist
I switch off from different moisturizers but I’ve been using Cetaphil for years. I also use a vitamin E Oil and or cream/ doesn’t really matter what brand for me as long as it’s 100% vitamin E oil/cream. Also Vitamin E oil helps you get mimimize dark marks/scars , helps with eczema, if you’re itching - this is perfect, and prevents fine lines and wrinkles.
Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream

Recipe for a gentle acne cream!! 🥺👉👈
If you have really dry skin and acne this is the recipe for you
I don’t really have very dry skin only in specific spots and I also have acne so this is tested on me and it works!!
It’s gentle enough for my sensitive skin and it gets rid of my dry spot and acne at the same time!!!!
The recipe:
Vitamin E oil
Nivea
All I did was I took a little mask spatula (you can use anything to stir) then I put in a fair amount of vitamin e oil and begun to stir until creamy and milky. It’s ok if it starts to clump up first that means that the Nivea is in contact with the oil but the oils not in the Nivea yet.
If you have oily skin I do not recommend this because it may make your skin more oily but if you have very dry skin I recommend this 💯
NIVEA - NIVEA Crème
AS I AM - Vitamin E Oil
Or any vitamin e oil
(Make sure it’s not a face serum just the oil I did not test out the one with a vitamin e serum so it may not be good)

my five-star product lineup for natural 4a hair!
these are my holy grail products for my low porosity, medium density 4a hair. i stopped flat ironing my hair in 2014 to really see how my natural curls would develop. it has been a roller coaster 🎢🎢🎢 journey to find the products that work best for me. after lots of trial and error, these are my favorite products. i have used them pretty consistently for the last two years.
amika: - Soulfood Nourishing Mask - this is the old packaging for my favorite deep conditioner. the scent is amazeballs and it does a fabulous job softening my hair and creating some slip before i cowash. the sea buckthorn oil is the secret ingredient - so moisturizing! i wet my hair with a spray bottle and deep condition for 2 hrs to a full day (up in my high bun).
AS I AM - Coconut Cowash + TANGLE TEEZER - The Original Detangling Hair Brush in the shower to condition and get all of the shed hair out. my hair, like my skin, can be quite dry, so i need super nourishing products. this cowash has been a constant in my routine basically since the beginning. sometimes i’ll skip the tangle teezer and finger detangle, but i really want to make sure that i get that shed hair out during wash day.
DevaCurl - Devatowel Anti-Frizz Microfiber Towel to dry off these tresses.
EDEN Body Works - Coconut Shea Natural Curl Defining Creme + ECOCO - Eco Style Argan Oil Gel - i part my hair in half, mix these two together, and run the product through semi-generously. then i’ll put each half into three twists to prevent tangling and let air dry.
SheaMoisture - 100% Pure Argan Oil - once my hair has dried, i’ll use this oil to gently unravel the twists. the oil helps me ensure that i’m not pulling too hard on the hair, since it’s dry and more fragile at that point.
i don’t do much between washes, to avoid product buildup. i sleep in a pineapple 🍍 on a satin pillowcase, and usually wear it down for a few days before putting it into a pineapple / bun for a few days. when my life is together, i do my wash routine every 5-7 days.
i love talking about natural hair!! 👩🏾🦱 let me know if you have any favorite products or tips. 🤗

Amazing Cowash 😍
My favorite cowash! I have wavy hair but my scalp gets oily and this product actually makes my scalp feel clean after I use it. Perfect for those who sweat a lot and feel like they need to wash their hair constantly but get irritated scalps!

Improvements! Looking for feedback
So if you look at my previous post, my skin is combination and the products I was using were drying out my skin.
I took some of the advice to use the niacimide 10% serum and I think that’s helped out a lot! I have been using frozen pieces of aloe Vera, cotton pads soaked in lemon and water and then the oils that are tagged in this post.
The only thing I am still annoyed with is the black heads that I can’t seem to get rid of, and the size of my pores in my t zone. Any advice?

🇯🇲 As I Am JBCO Collection for type 3/4
🇯🇲 This deep conditioner from the As I Am Jamaican Black Castor Oil collection is amazing! It’s formulated for type 3 and type 4 hair. I love that they specify, because a big part of the natural hair journey is identifying what products will work for your hair type without wasting hundreds of dollars in the process.
💦The texture isn’t as thick as a traditional deep conditioner, but it still does the trick and it smells amazing! I have a lot of hair and even though the jar looks small it lasts for at least 5 treatments depending on how heavy handed you are.
