Cute Bangs for a Round Face. 💇🏽‍♀️
THIS ONES FOR MY CURLY FRIENDS! 🌀 I have Thick 4B curly hair and I one through a many of cuts and styles in my 10 years of being natural but over the past year I finally found a shape that works for me and the ultimate wash and go that compliments my plush round face! I got bangs! I was so worried about having bangs but my stylist promised it was perfect. And she was spot on! Bangs help bring out my cheeks and draw attention to my eyes. Things that normally blend in are framed beautifully by my bangs. I suggest to go for it if you’ve ever considered it and have a face shape like me! For my Wash and Gos I used (in order): AS I AM - Curl Enhancing Smoothie I love this product! It smells great and gives my hair so much moisture and truly defines my curls. I use this after I have shampooed and conditioned and on soaking wet hair I rake it through Root to ends and then take my detangling brush and brush it in. (I have low porosity hair so my hair doesn’t hold water well, so it has to stay drenched during this whole process lol) Curls - Control Curl Sculpting Gel Secondly I take this gel and rake it through my hair to hold the curl. Style as desired. I use quite a bit because I have a lot of hair. The thing I like about this product is it also smells good but has hydrating Aloe leaf juice infused. Lastly Bumble and bumble. - BB. Curl Anti-Humidity Gel-Oil I use very little of this I squeeze a quarter size amount into my hand and flip my hair and gently go over my curls with it. Love this product because it helps define and adds shine and also tame frizz because of its anti humidity properties. I finish off with my oil mix to lock it in and diffuse with cold air for 15 minutes then let air dry! Oil Mix (jamaican Castor oil, Vitamin E oil, and sweet almond oil)

This is an awesome Coconut wash off conditioner. What I mostly like is the SMEEL. The coconut smell is the best and it is very smooth. Nothing big but I really love it.💗 I will be posting more about Skincare.

Three Common Hair Questions Answered!
I've been getting quite a few questions all pertaining to haircare. So I thought I would take the time to dive into a few of the most common that I have been hearing from you guys. Q: How do I enhance my curls and avoid frizz? A: Curly hair is naturally dry, so moisture is the key to making your curls happy. There are a few things you can do to promote healthier and hydrated curls. Use a sulfate-free shampoo or Co-wash like AS I AM - Coconut Cleansing Conditioner to prevent it from stripping natural oils from the hair. Conditioner like SheaMoisture - Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine Conditioner specially formulated for curly hair will have extra moisturizing properties. Curls - Blueberry CURL Control Paste Styling gel is excellent for controlling frizz and flyaways. Q: Is there any way I can make my hair grow faster? A: Sadly, no, but not all hope is lost. You may not be able to grow your hair faster, but you can make sure that the hair you have makes it to a longer length. A diet that is rich in Zinc and Biotin keeps the hair healthy enough to meet its full potential. Q: I want to grow my hair longer but my ends get really damaged and eventually split. Do I have to get it cut? A: unfortunately, you have to cut it to grow it. After five weeks of growth with no trim, you will get bigger split ends, and you will have to cut more off in the long run. It may not seem like it, but you end up saving time and length by trimming every 3-4 weeks.

My skin care routine for GLOWY Skin - inexpensiv
Most products are super inexpensive! Neutrogena - Fragrance Free Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes These are the best makeup remover wipes in my opinion. They are moisturized just enough and helps me get rid of stubborn mascara. Others I’ve used aren’t wet enough like these. Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub This has always been my holy grail, my go-to .. I don’t think I will use anything else for right now. It really cleanses my face and gets all the dirt/makeup off. I love witch hazel - it evenly tones out your skin tone and helps you keep a youthful look. I also just like that extra clean feel when using it. These are my top two - DICKINSON'S - Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner THAYERS - Cucumber Facial Mist I switch off from different moisturizers but I’ve been using Cetaphil for years. I also use a vitamin E Oil and or cream/ doesn’t really matter what brand for me as long as it’s 100% vitamin E oil/cream. Also Vitamin E oil helps you get mimimize dark marks/scars , helps with eczema, if you’re itching - this is perfect, and prevents fine lines and wrinkles. Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream AS I AM - Vitamin E Oil

Recipe for a gentle acne cream!! 🥺👉👈
If you have really dry skin and acne this is the recipe for you I don’t really have very dry skin only in specific spots and I also have acne so this is tested on me and it works!! It’s gentle enough for my sensitive skin and it gets rid of my dry spot and acne at the same time!!!! The recipe: Vitamin E oil Nivea All I did was I took a little mask spatula (you can use anything to stir) then I put in a fair amount of vitamin e oil and begun to stir until creamy and milky. It’s ok if it starts to clump up first that means that the Nivea is in contact with the oil but the oils not in the Nivea yet. If you have oily skin I do not recommend this because it may make your skin more oily but if you have very dry skin I recommend this 💯 NIVEA - NIVEA Crème AS I AM - Vitamin E Oil Or any vitamin e oil (Make sure it’s not a face serum just the oil I did not test out the one with a vitamin e serum so it may not be good)

my five-star product lineup for natural 4a hair!
these are my holy grail products for my low porosity, medium density 4a hair. i stopped flat ironing my hair in 2014 to really see how my natural curls would develop. it has been a roller coaster 🎢🎢🎢 journey to find the products that work best for me. after lots of trial and error, these are my favorite products. i have used them pretty consistently for the last two years. amika: - Soulfood Nourishing Mask - this is the old packaging for my favorite deep conditioner. the scent is amazeballs and it does a fabulous job softening my hair and creating some slip before i cowash. the sea buckthorn oil is the secret ingredient - so moisturizing! i wet my hair with a spray bottle and deep condition for 2 hrs to a full day (up in my high bun). AS I AM - Coconut Cowash + TANGLE TEEZER - The Original Detangling Hair Brush in the shower to condition and get all of the shed hair out. my hair, like my skin, can be quite dry, so i need super nourishing products. this cowash has been a constant in my routine basically since the beginning. sometimes i’ll skip the tangle teezer and finger detangle, but i really want to make sure that i get that shed hair out during wash day. DevaCurl - Devatowel Anti-Frizz Microfiber Towel to dry off these tresses. EDEN Body Works - Coconut Shea Natural Curl Defining Creme + ECOCO - Eco Style Argan Oil Gel - i part my hair in half, mix these two together, and run the product through semi-generously. then i’ll put each half into three twists to prevent tangling and let air dry. SheaMoisture - 100% Pure Argan Oil - once my hair has dried, i’ll use this oil to gently unravel the twists. the oil helps me ensure that i’m not pulling too hard on the hair, since it’s dry and more fragile at that point. i don’t do much between washes, to avoid product buildup. i sleep in a pineapple 🍍 on a satin pillowcase, and usually wear it down for a few days before putting it into a pineapple / bun for a few days. when my life is together, i do my wash routine every 5-7 days. i love talking about natural hair!! 👩🏾‍🦱 let me know if you have any favorite products or tips. 🤗

Amazing Cowash 😍
My favorite cowash! I have wavy hair but my scalp gets oily and this product actually makes my scalp feel clean after I use it. Perfect for those who sweat a lot and feel like they need to wash their hair constantly but get irritated scalps! AS I AM - Coconut Cowash

BUDGET AMAZON 4C HAIR/DRY SKIN ROUTINE✨
it took me years to find anything that's works for my dry sensitive skin let alone work to help me style and detangle my 4C hair. SKIN ROUTINE: I only trust Noxzema facial cleansers to not break me out and actually CLEAN my skin. I also recommend a soft bristle spin brush to help scrub. (I strongly recommend getting the NOXZEMA - Ultimate Clear Daily Deep Pore Cleanser The one in my photo has tiny beads that are hard to wash off without soaking your shirt) Be sure to pat dry your face. Next I use the ANDALOU NATURALS - CannaCell Hydrating Toner . This product contains "hemp stem cells", not too sure what that does but it sure does help keep moisture in. It has a citrus scent as well. You can spray about 2-3 times in a cotton pad but I usually just spray on the hands and rub it into my skin. The HONEST - Hydrogel Cream is the best thing I've ever used. I used to pay $50-$60 for the Murad - Nutrient-Charged Water Gel and never has it ever held in moisture all DAY. I never had to put lotion on my face again. My face never dried up again!!! 4C HAIR CARE: The TANGLE TEEZER - The Large Wet Detangler Hairbrush and Carol's Daughter - Hair Milk 4-in-1 ''Combing'' Crème I've only seen used on type 3 hair and was almost positive that it would not work for me. Was I extremely wrong. On wet hair the tangle teaser is the best detangler I've EVER USED. I was depressed and my hair was matted from neglect and it made the process of reviving my hair so much more tolerable. The 4 in 1 Hair milk, I used after detangling a section and applied from the ends to the roots, then brushed over them again. I wouldn't say to use this as a styling cream with type 4 hair because my hair instantly puffed back up but it did keep it soft and moisturized all day. For daily moisture I recommend using the AS I AM - DoublebButter Cream

Wavy hair products
Ok so I recently started using a new shampoo and conditioner. I try to stay within the Shea Moisture brand and sometimes I’ll venture out into Cantu or something similar. I’ve had this shampoo and conditioner set for about 3 weeks now and holy crap! It’s like I have a new head of hair. I used to always use products that contained some sort of coconut product whether it be Cantu products or others and since I’ve moved away from that I’ve seen a HUGE difference. I’ve seen posts from a lot of other girls saying coconut in their hair products has really dampened their curl texture and I thought maybe I had the same problem and honestly, I think I was right! The more I moved away from coconut, the curlier my hair has gotten. Anyway, on to the products! The Shea Moisture Power Greens is a great combo. It’s got essential nutrients and moisturizes my hair extremely well. My only problem is, the shampoo is VERY watery. I guess the plus side to that is it makes me control how much shampoo I’m putting into my hand so, I’m not too mad about it. The conditioner though is perfect! Both have a very light scent, I don’t think it’s super over bearing at all but then again I’ve been using super strong scented coconut products so I may just not be able to smell it all that well (haha) The Shea Moisture Hair Milk is one of the best leave in conditioners I’ve ever used. It doesn’t leave my hair super greasy and weighed down and having wavy hair, that’s important to avoid! And last but not least, As I Am Curling Jelly. I love love LOVE this hair gel. It’s very liquidy and thin so it keeps a good hold without casting my hair into a rock. It’s by far the best hair gel I’ve tried and I hope I never find the day where I can’t buy it anymore. My Hair Routine!! Shampoo using only a quarter size amount Condition with my hair flipped over and scrunch my hair with conditioner until my hair clumps. I use about 5-6 pumps of conditioner to fully condition my hair and it forms clumps I rinse the conditioner out of my hair still flipped over and I just scrunch and squeeze until it feels like I got what I want out after that DONT FLIP YOUR HAIR UP YET While I’m still in the shower I scrunch my hair out until my hair isn’t sopping wet, BUT it is still very wet I then scrunch in my hair milk. I use about a nickel size of this then finally I take small globs of hair gel and scrunch it into my hair until it starts forming good clumps and everywhere has a good layer of gel to form a good cast after I get all my product in I plop my hair in a hair towel for anywhere from 20-45 minutes depending on how much time I have once I take the towel out, I gently scrunch my hair with the towel to make sure my hair isn’t still dripping wet (my hair holds A LOT of water and I really need to squeeze it out sometimes) after that I let everything air dry and then break the cast once it’s completely dry!

So if you look at my previous post, my skin is combination and the products I was using were drying out my skin. I took some of the advice to use the niacimide 10% serum and I think that’s helped out a lot! I have been using frozen pieces of aloe Vera, cotton pads soaked in lemon and water and then the oils that are tagged in this post. The only thing I am still annoyed with is the black heads that I can’t seem to get rid of, and the size of my pores in my t zone. Any advice? So if you had seen my last post about the Miss Jessie’s product I use you’d know that I love the product but wanted a little bit more hold. Well since that post I have purchased the AS I AM - Curling Jelly Coil and Curl Definer I absolutely LOVE this gel. It’s very thin and watery so it’s not too heavy of a gel that would weigh down the waves in my hair. I used a good amount of it today and I was expecting my hair to turn into a big crunchy mess but it didn’t do that at all! The waves are a bit more separated and the hair around my face curled up a bit more. It smells good and my hair feels even better

🇯🇲 As I Am JBCO Collection for type 3/4
🇯🇲 This deep conditioner from the As I Am Jamaican Black Castor Oil collection is amazing! It’s formulated for type 3 and type 4 hair. I love that they specify, because a big part of the natural hair journey is identifying what products will work for your hair type without wasting hundreds of dollars in the process. 💦The texture isn’t as thick as a traditional deep conditioner, but it still does the trick and it smells amazing! I have a lot of hair and even though the jar looks small it lasts for at least 5 treatments depending on how heavy handed you are.
