Budget Sensitive Skin Friendly Products!
I have a love affair with anything rose scented so I had to give Badger’s Damascus Rose line a try! The smell is very natural soothing rose with no irritating added fragrance. BADGER - Damascus Rose Zinc Oxide Sunscreen SPF 25 First up, their sunscreen. Reef-safe, non-comedogenic, sensitive skin safe, and pale girl tested and approved. I live in a tropical climate with a lot of sun and do well with this sunscreen given appropriate reapplication! This sunscreen even protected me on a summer trip to the mountains in Colorado (easier to get sunburnt at higher elevations). You do have to rub this product in quite a bit, even more so if you have a darker skin tone due to the zinc. But this is pretty standard with natural sunscreens. My only complaint would be that it doesn’t always play well with makeup. BADGER - Damascus Rose, Cleansing Milk The cleansing milk is lovely to get makeup off but isn’t my favorite cleanser overall. I would say if you’re into double cleansing it would be a great first cleanser if you’re skin isn’t a huge fan of oil cleansers. It does do an amazing job of getting makeup off, I’m just not the biggest fan of how it feels on my skin. I would not purchase it again, but am using the entire bottle without complaint. BADGER - Damascus Rose, Balancing Mist Okay this is the one bad product in the batch for me. It left a weird residue on my face and made my skin feel just so bizarrely textured. I’m not going to lie, I dumped this product in a different bottle and gave it to my sister and refilled the super cute bottle with just plain food grade rose water. If you have extremely sensitive skin like me getting a bottle of food grade rose water is cheaper and honestly feels better than most sprays I’ve tried. BADGER - Damascus Rose Face Oil Best. 👏 For. 👏 Last. 👏 I would BATHE in this face oil if I could. It is so rich and soothing and just HEAVEN. I really don’t like the smell of my The Ordinary B Oil (but love the effects) and I mix equal parts of this oil and the B Oil for Ahhhhhmazing hydrated skin. It’s definitively a heavier oil, but is clinically tested to be non-comedogenic and will not make you break out. Heaven in a bottle, guys. For less than $20!!!

3 products you should always have while in the ☀
May was Skin Cancer Awareness Month, and since summer is closely approaching I wanted to make a post about how important it is to protect our skin with an SPF everyday! Anyone can get skin cancer, regardless of age, gender or race. It is estimated that 1 in 5 Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime. Using a sunscreen can help prevent skin cancer by protecting our skin from harmful UV rays. It’s also important to note that no matter the season, your skin is your largest organ and you need to protect it from all environmental pollutants - not just the sun. The sun emits it’s harmful UV rays year-round. Even on cloudy days up to 80% of the sun’s UV rays can penetrate your skin. You want to make sure you are using a sunscreen that offers Broad Spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays. What’s the difference between the two? ☀️UVA rays can prematurely age your skin, causing wrinkles, age spots/dark sun spots. UVA rays can pass through window glass and clouds meaning, yes - you need protection from these rays inside or even while driving in your car. ☀️UVB rays are the primary cause of sunburn and aid in the development of skin cancer. This is why you will need a sunscreen that protects you from both, and has an SPF of at LEAST 30 or higher. ⛅️You put a lot of time and money into your skin care ; why would you throw it all away by not protecting it from the sun? Before being interested in Esthetics/Skin I used to never think the right amount of sun protection was necessary and I was in those tanning beds ALLLL the time years ago.🤦🏻‍♀️ But once I learned the importance of protecting the skin and all the damage the sun is capable of - it’s just not worth it. Plus, there’s always self tanner and spray tans :) These are some of my favorite sunscreens to use at the beach or in the sun by the pool! Supergoop! - Mattescreen SPF 40 BADGER - Active Kids, Natural Mineral Sunscreen Cream, SPF 30 PA+++, Tangerine & Vanilla And of course stay hydrated all day with cold water 💧 I also really love Colorescience and Elta MD sunscreen which i will post about later 💕 #spf #sunprotection #CherieCreator
