Nail + Cuticle Care!
I have a bad habit of biting my nails 😥 for a long time, my solution was to cover my nails with polish and then to just get acrylics. But having acrylics back to back for a full year ended up making the nails underneath thin and dry! I stopped getting my nails done altogether and started taking vitamin e supplements, which did noticeably help my nail health, but I started biting my nails again! For a couple months now, I’ve been able to successfully kick my bad habit and keep my nails strong and healthy by applying products topically. Here are my reviews of two of my favorite nail care products, which I use all the time and would recommend for everyone: JĀSON - Nail Saver, Tea Tree This is great for hydrating and strengthening both cuticles and nails, but definitely targets brittle nails more. The ingredients include tons of great oils, vitamin e included! This product really did save and strengthen my nails after having acrylics back-to-back for so long. I apply this every day. If I’m in a phase where I’m wearing nail polish a lot, I’ll put it on once my polish is removed and give my nails a day or so to breathe. It has an oily texture that absorbs into the nail and skin and a little goes a long way. You can rub in the oil but I like to let it just sink in on its own for a while and then rub in any excess. JOSIE MARAN - 100% Pure Argan Oil I use Josie Maran because I got a free sample, but there are plenty of other brands which offer the same product for much, much cheaper (like The Ordinary). So with that being said, get you some! Argan oil isn’t just good for nails, it has a whole host of uses and benefits. I like to use this on my cuticles/nails, dry patches on my skin (even in sensitive areas), and under my eyes when the delicate skin has been irritated from makeup/makeup removal. Argan oil is super hydrating, a nice medium weight for oils, and appropriate for all skin types. By using these products, I’m able to keep my nails at peak health and avoid biting my nails! These are both very affordable products that anyone concerned about their nail strength & cuticle dryness should try.

Stay Young Forever: Antioxidants 🍊
This is my favorite type of ingredient. If you’re looking for anti-aging, hyperpigmentation help, or even just prevention this is it! Antioxidants: You can find these in things around and even inside you. Vitamins such as A, C, and E have such a role in your life it’s crazy. Antioxidant main enemy is FREE RADICALS This free radicals are natural occurring and environment related stressors. They can be caused by the body’s metabolism or found in drugs, pesticides, cigarette smoke, and other pollutants. They over time damage cells and cause that portion of your body to not function properly. They are the most known for accelerating the aging process (mostly by diminishing collagen production). I love this chart because it lists the needs and skin types for each! SKINCARE: NIGHT ROUTINE BASICS!
Finally part two of my skin care basics! A lot of the steps are the same but I do have different products in those places. Let's get into it.... 1) MAKEUP REMOVER: this step is essential after a long day, look at this like double cleansing so they scheduled the service layer off before your cleanser goes in to get a deeper clean. my product: CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm 2) CLEANSER: cleansing helps to get rid of dead skin, pollutants, oils, dirt, and bacteria in general but many dermatologists & estheticians recommend that you should wash your face first thing in the morning so that you can prepare your skin for any other products that go on top of it. my product: CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser 3) EYE CREAM: the eye area is a super fragile, sensitive part of the face so your best bet is to apply your eye cream right away. to allow for maximum moisturization, apply first and pat around the area GENTLY! also in the AM, eye cream can help tighten and depuff the eyes. my product: BURT’S BEES - Sensitive Eye Cream 4) TONER/ESSENCE/MIST: this step can help to prime your skin to absorb active ingredients, do you research on whether you should be using a toner or an essence. shameless plug, one of my first posts is about the difference between toners and tonics, check that out for help. my products: pixi - Collagen Tonic pixi - Hydrating Milky Mist 5) SERUM(S): this stuff delivers the bulk of active ingredients to your freshly primed face! if you apply serums over thicker formulas (moisturizers, etc.) they may not penetrate as well. serums DIFFER from day to night. be sure to choose ingredients that are SAFE for the time of day you're using them. (i.e. retinol should be used AT night, vitamin c during the day) my product: PACIfICA - Dream Shot Beauty Sleep Booster Serum 6) RETINOL: as stated above right now is best used at night! i use a retinol alternative. check out my dedicated post on bakuchiol vs. retinol! my product: ACURE - Radically Rejuvenating Dual Phase Bakuchiol Serum 7) MOISTURIZER: think of this as a way to seal in everything you just did! look for hyaluronic acid & other ingredients that lock in moisture. my products: CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream CLARISMA - Cali Dreaming Cream Daily Moisturizer 8) SPOT TREATMENT: only if necessary, you should be applying spot treatment on active breakouts both morning & night to accelerate the healing process. my product: JĀSON - JĀSON Tea Tree Oil 9) FACE OIL: i have a special post also on what face oils can do for oily skin! they help trap moisture in your skin & as a protective barrier. think of it like skin care topcoat. my product: ACURE - Seriously Soothing Blue Tansy Night Oil Thanks for reading! ❤️

A Foolproof 7 Step Leg Care Guide
Here is a step by step guide that I have tried the past few times I’ve shaved and I have noticed a difference in how my hairs have grown back and the reducing pigmentation. For reference, I have thick coarse hairs against fair skin and had a lot of ingrown hairs before I started taking care of my legs. I start off the shaving process an hour before I actually shave. 1. Wash legs thoroughly and gently. I use: JĀSON - Pure Natural Body Wash, Soothing Aloe Vera This is a gentle and moisturizing body wash with aloe vera in its formula. I make sure my legs are clean of any dirt or dead skin that may have been trapped in its pores, and rinse with lukewarm water to minimize skin irritation. 2. Dry your legs and massage with jojoba oil. I use the Muji jojoba oil as it is the cheapest option I could find where I live. The formula is light and does not leave an oily residue on my skin. This step will ensure that you shave against moisturized skin. 3. Wash your legs again after an hour or more before you shower! The jojoba oil will also free any dirt or oils that may have been trapped in your pores. 4. Exfoliate your legs after taking a regular shower and washing your legs. And be gentle! I use a LUSH exfoliant that leaves my skin feeling so soft and nice after using it. LUSH - Rub Rub Rub 5. Lather your wet legs with a shaving cream. I use LUSH’s Prince shaving cream which not only conditions my leg hair before shaving, but also tones and tightens pores to prime them for shaving. The formula is infused with rose water which soothes and calms irritated skin. LUSH - Prince Shaving Cream 6. Shave with a good razor. I found that a lot of razors marketed towards women are often too expensive and are not sharp enough, so I switched to a men’s razor and have not looked back. I use Gillette Mach 3 Sensitive and it has given me amazing, close shaves unlike any feminine razor I have ever tried. I also rinse my legs again after shaving. 7. Dry your legs and moisturize! I use an aloe vera gel first to soothe my legs after shaving and to reduce any irritation, then use Cetaphil’s moisturizing lotion which has shea butter, vitamin E and B5 to maintain moisture and help reduce hyperpigmentation. The formula is lightweight and doesn’t leave a greasy residue on the skin. #DEWYTREE - Green Power Aloe Soothing Gel 98%[products]#[FourStars] Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion For maintenance in between shaves, I use jojoba oil and aloe gel to moisturize my legs in the morning, and Cetaphil moisturizing lotion at night. My skin is feeling a lot smoother and I don’t get strawberry legs and the bumpy and itchy ingrown hairs like I used to, and I won’t be changing this routine anytime soon since it is so effective for me!

Do you have dandruff? This shampoo is going to help with that and keep your hair healthy! Where to find this at? Walmart: $11.99 for a 16 Fl Oz Target: $14.99 for a 16 Fl Oz My journey: I had super bad dandruff and I used a bunch of different shampoos before I found this one. This one I started using back in February and it works AMAZING! My hair is always super soft and I have way less dandruff. I wash my hair twice every time I shower since I have thick hair and I make sure to rub it into my scalp.
