HydroPeptide - Moisture Reset Phytonutrient Facial Oil I thoroughly enjoyed using up this product. There is however a strong warm herbal scent so if you’re sensitive to scents, I’d skip on this. There are a lot of essential oils in this so it might be sensitizing to a lot of people. I personally would pass on repurchasing this. I’ve started to use the Sunday Riley C.E.O. Glow Face Oil and I think I’ll be repurchasing that over this. For starters, this one retails at $120 versus $80 for the Sunday Riley. The Sunday Riley oil is also 5ml bigger than the Hydropeptide. I can’t justify the price tag on this oil for the similar effect I’m getting from the Sunday Riley. Another con for me regarding this product was the packaging. I was a fan of the cute pink bottle when I first started using it. I’m assuming it’s to protect the light sensitive ingredients in this? The opaque pink bottle makes it extremely difficult to tell how much product you have left. I ran out of this product without much indication that it was done. Upon flipping the bottle over, I was surprised with how much oil was still coming out. So be wary that the dropper does a poor job of getting everything out. Pros moisturizing little goes a long way Cons steep price tag bottle is opaque strong scent

Don’t let your face crack!
HydroPeptide - Moisture Reset Phytonutrient Facial Oil A few days ago I woke up with a dry, achy face! This was tragic for me I ran and grabbed my favorite product that Immediately intensifies the moisture back to my face and elbows! Hydropeptide’s Moisture Reset 💕 It’s great for sensitive skin and ingredients such as avocado (yum) and lavender oil replenish the skins barrier and nourishes hydration. A couple drops of this and your fav moisturizer/serum will have you feeling right again in no time! Also, if you get redness under your nose like I do from the irritation of dry season, this is the best product for you. The rice bran extract will soothe and diminish irritation and redness. A bit of this and a serum and poof! You’re back in action

PEPTIDES. Are you considering a peptide serum but not quite sure what they are or what they do? Simply put, peptides are the building blocks of proteins, including keratin, collagen, and elastin. They signal your cells to produce more collagen (which happens to be one of the major building blocks of the skin). By applying them directly to your skin you’re telling your body it needs to make more collagen. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Synthetic peptides are used to support and boost skin proteins and the 3 most popular include signaling peptides, neurotransmitter-affecting peptides, and carrier peptides, which each work and benefit the skin in different ways. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve been consistently using a peptide serum for a few years now and find them to be an essential part of any anti-aging routine. Here are some of my faves: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ HYDROPEPTIDE Power Serum Line Lifting Transformation* contains 4 Volumizing Peptides, 4 Plumping Peptides, 3 Relaxing Peptides and 2 Preservative Peptides to offer maximum and superior anti-aging benefits. It is pricey at $144 for 1 oz/ 30 mL but it’s also packed with antioxidants and growth factors which gives it a real bang for your buck! HydroPeptide - Power Serum Line Lifting Transformation ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ PETER THOMAS ROTH Peptide 21™ Wrinkle Resist Serum* contains a 73% Peptide and Neuropeptide Complex that helps to visibly reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles. I really like the lightweight lotion consistency of this formula and so far have been happy with the results.  $125 for 1 oz/ 30 mL PETER THOMAS ROTH - Peptide 21 Wrinkle Resist Serum ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ DR. JART+ Peptidin™ Firming Serum with Energy Peptides* contains an Eight-Peptide Complex that replenishes and recharges fatigued, depleted skin. At $48.00 for 1.35 oz/ 40 mL this is the most budget-friendly of the bunch and a great option for those looking to incorporate peptides for the first time. Peptides, what you need to know. 💚
Peptides have been widely thought to help preserve and boost collagen and therefore helping the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. But do polypeptides actually do anything? POLYPEPTIDES TYPE OF INGREDIENT: Protein MAIN BENEFITS: Smoothes fine lines, increases collagen production, decreases the appearance of pores. WHO SHOULD USE IT: Generally, polypeptides are safe for all skin types. HOW OFTEN YOU CAN USE IT: For maximum effectiveness, polypeptides should be applied during both morning and nighttime skincare routines. WORKS WELL WITH: Getting a facial peel before applying peptide products will help peptides penetrate the skin more deeply. DON'T USE WITH: AHAs will reduce the efficiency of peptides. Polypeptides can best be understood as "small chemical compounds composed of short-chain amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein. Peptides tell your cells to produce more collagen: one of the major building blocks of the skin. So by applying them directly to your skin, you're telling your body it needs to make more collagen. Peptides are essentially fragmented portions of proteins. So when they're used in skincare, the objective is for those fragments of collagen to stimulate collagen growth. Peptides can be included in serums, moisturizers, and masks,They are also included in some topical serums used after micro-needling or superficial laser procedures to increase the penetration of the peptide and help the skin recover from the procedure. When used in cosmetic skin products, peptides fall into three main categories: signal peptides, carrier peptides, and those that inhibit nerve signals. By acting as messengers, signal peptides can trigger collagen synthesis, which then increases skin firmness. BUT....... There just has not been significant scientific data on peptides for anti-aging, and they may not be as effective as the tried-and-true retinoids, AHAs, and antioxidants. Plus, the word 'peptide' can be used generically to describe any short chain of amino acids, so that term can easily be used for marketing even if the product does not contain a known active ingredient. Not to say that it’s not an ingredient that could have some benefits so it’s always worth a try! Here are some of the best products with polypeptides if you want to give it a go. HydroPeptide - Face Lift Moisturizer (grading on reviews I’ve seen) The Ordinary - Matrixyl* 10% + HA I personally use this and have seen results!! See my previous review. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream (rating based on reviews I’ve seen) A lot of people love this but personally I’d rather use the Ordinary Martrixyl. PAULA'S CHOICE - Peptide Booster (ratings based on reviews I’ve seen) Do you use peptides? What are your thoughts on them? 🤔

HydroPeptide - Moisture Reset Phytonutrient Facial Oil This oil claims to moisturize even the most sensitive skin types. I received this in my FabFitFun box, so I did not have to pay the retail price of $120 CAD. This product contains avocado oil and lavender oil to moisturize. It also has rice bran extract, which gently soothes irritation and redness; and, flower extracts, which softens skin. This oil works to give you even, glowing skin. How to use: ✨ Add a couple of drops to any product including moisturizers, serums or body lotions for an extra boost of moisture. 1. Gently swirl bottle before use. Use the dropper tool to dispense 3-5 drops of oil into the palm of hands. 2. Use gentle sweeping and patting motions to apply oil all over face and neck. 3. Follow with HydroLock Sleep Mask or appropriate serum and moisturizer. 4. May be used AM and PM. What does it do? - Nourishes and hydrates skin - Improves skin barrier function - Softens skin overnight ✨This product is vegan and cruelty free and does not contain any gluten, parabens, phthalates, soy, or sulfates. My thoughts: It’s a nice oil consistency. It does not have an over-powering scent. I didn’t find it caused any irritation or to have clogged my pores. I think with consistent use it would certainly give you that glowy skin it promises.
