Dermaroller Basics!!
Hey Guys! I’ve been doing my research and wanted to give a little info on dermarollers, why I use it, and my experience. What is a Dermaroller? A Dermaroller is a tool used for at home use. It includes using a mini wheel that is trailed across the face and covered in tiny needles. Dermarollers range in size from my .25mm to 3.0mm. Even going as low to .2mm. Each size is designed to treat a variety of skin issues. What is the purpose of a Dermaroller? The purpose of a Dermaroller is to create microscopic injuries to the skin. This is a process called collagen induction therapy. The scars created in the skin will increase collagen production creating a glowy, youthful appearance. With continued use, improvements can be seen in fine lines, wrinkles, and discoloration. What Dermaroller do I have? I purchased my SDARA - Derma Roller from Amazon for $18.97. From the Amazon store, it didn’t look like they had any other sizes besides .25mm. In addition to Dermarollers, they also sell a Vitamin C serum with Hyaluronic Acid, sheet masks, under eye masks, and even a jade roller. What is my experience with the Dermaroller? Before purchasing this device I had only briefly heard about Dermarolling. However, I have always been obsessed with anything revealing anti-aging. I also love home treatments that are effective and not too costly. This fit the bill perfectly! I haven’t used the Dermaroller enough times to really assess it, however, I definitely notice a glow the next day and my skin is softer. I am going to keep using this to see the long term effects. I, personally, like to use mine with my PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula, Perfecting Facial Oil . What have you heard about dermarollers and/or dermarolling. Let me know??

Why You Should Buy a Face Oil!!
Hey guys! So you may know from my other posts that I’ve been on a skin journey and have been on a quest to balance my skin, combat discoloration, and prevent acne. Since I started double cleansing with a homemade oil mixture as the first cleanser and using a moisturizer issuer on my skin with only five ingredients, two of them being oils, I wanted to see if using a night time face oil would actually help my skin. I am so happy that I released my doubts and decided to purchase one! The face oil I purchased is PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula, Perfecting Facial Oil from CVS for i believe, $12- $15. Why A Night Oil Can Help! Keep that moisture in! If you have oily skin then you should know the the difference between moisture abs hydration. Face super greasy but still feeling “dry”. That’s where a great face oil can come into play! A night oil will help seal in the moisture from your moisturizer. Thus, leaving your skin hydrated! Night oils can improve the efficiency of your other products. Because of the sealing ability of oils, this gives your other products a chance to really skin and be absorbed. Can aid in balancing skin. Yes, even us oily girls can attain balanced skin through oils. A little research to find out what oils are best for you will help you search out and pick oil based products. Fa$t Facts This product contains 10 pure oils: Sweet Almond Coconut Sesame Macadamia Nut Apricot Grapeseed Argan Rosehip Camelina Sunflower It also contains Retinol and Vitamin C for anti-aging and brightening effects! Dermatologist tested and it won’t clog pores! Since using this face oil at night I have seen a huge difference in my skin. Literally! My skin is softer, my dark spots are fading but, most importantly, my skin feels balanced! No longer am I waking up to an oil spill on my forehead! Instead my skin is right in the middle and it feels great! It’s not too dry, not too oily! I know! I was hesitant to try a night oil but I am so glad I did! I’m starting to round out my skin routine and I’m almost done! All I need next is a good serum. Still looking at insta natural - Vitamin C Serum, Anti-Aging. What oils do you guys use if any??

Empties! Stretch Mark Care
From puberty to weight loss, my body has done quite a bit of pulling and stretching. I’ve been caring for my stretch marks since I was a young teen. Though I’ve definitely earned my stripes, I’ve learned how to minimize their appearance tremendously. (Hmm stretch mark care routine soon maybe?) I bought theCeraVe - Intensive Stretch Mark Cream in 2019 and since then; the price has sky rocketed!! (you might be able to find on amazon/ebay for cheaper). I really like the consistency of this stretch mark cream, it absorbs into the skin quickly and it’s light with no oily greasy feel. Its a bit expensive but works well. I really like to layer this stretch mark cream with whipped shea butters, and different Palmers products but my favorite is definitely PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil It leaves my stretch marks smooth and has faded them very well. This oil is a must !! Not for just stretch mark care, but complexion care as well!! Especially if you prefer stretch mark care to be on the oiler side. I am a firm believer that stretch marks fade much quicker better when interacting with oiler products. What are some of your favorite stretch marks creams, oils or butters?

DIY Shimmer Oil
I’m going to be honest. I avoid the sun at all costs and I am too lazy to self tan, but I really really like the look of glowy skin in the summer. I can’t help it. In my quest for the perfect glow, I stumbled upon a few shimmer oils but was blown away by the prices. $59 for 3 oz of body oil? No thanks... The thing is, I do use body oil daily. I like to put it on over my moisturizer (CeraVe moisturizing cream) to lock it in, but I also like that it gives a little sheen to my skin. Plus the scent is amazing. That’s when I got to thinking, why not make my own shimmer oil? Using stuff I already had, I was able to whip this up in 10 minutes and the result is a subtle glow and shine that lasts all day. Here’s how to do it: 1. Grab a body oil of your choice. I like Palmer’s because the scent is sweet and it absorbs really well into the skin. An oil works better than a lotion because it has a subtle glaze-y glow to it already. Plus you don’t have to break the bank. Here are some good ones: PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil Neutrogena - Body Oil Bio-Oil - Multiuse Skincare Oil 2. Grab a powdered highlighter (pressed or loose, cream will not work) that blends well with your skin tone. Test it on your arm to make sure it blends to a slight glimmer without any light or dark cast to it. The more translucent the better. I used doucce pressed highlighter in “solstice” because I had it laying around. If your highlighter is pressed, use a spoon to remove it from its container and stir until it’s broken up. Here are some ones I like: doucce - Freematic Highlighter Mono wet n wild - MegaGlo Loose Highlighting Powder NYX - Shimmer Down Pigment 3. Using a funnel (or a piece of paper wrapped into a cone), combine about 1/2tsp of powdered highlighter to your body oil, close and shake. Add more for a more dramatic effect, up to 1tsp of highlighter. 4. Apply daily over moisturizer or directly to skin! And that’s it! Go get your glow on. -XOK

Skin Update and product reviews
So in my last posts I introduced my routine and some new products I would be trying so here is an update on my skin and some reviews. Ps. Thee photos were taken in on day but with different lighting to show different views of my skin 👍🏾 The CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser is absolutely amazing. Usually after washing my skin feels clean but dull but this cleanser leaves my skin feeling so soft and moisturized. I didn’t know it could feel that good before moisturizer. This completes my moisture focused routine and my skin feels great all day. The PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula, Moisture Rich Night Cream was also very pleasing. It contains Retinol, Peptide Complex, Shea Butter and Aloe which attracted me because I’m to scared for a whole retinol serum but wanted the good affects. It’s very mosturizing and I do feel that my skin is smoother. I’ve also almost finished my The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HAserums and I feel like they were great in my skin routine and definitely helped me obtain some evenness. Maskne left me with some new dark spots but overall my skin is just getting healthier and my skin tone is becoming more even and that’s my main goal 🥰🥰

This Months Empties !! Dec 2020
The GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Water is so much better over the original, it’s a lot less drying and sensitizing. great for dry & sensitive skin. I wish the bottles actually came in a bigger size because I feel like I go through these so quickly 😭 I like to shake my micellar water before squeezing onto a cotton pad, it actually gets a little more soapy and saves you more product that way. In all, I like this product and makes taking off makeup much easier without adding any sensitivity to my skin. Would buy again. PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Cleansing Oil Face did brighten and make my skin look more radiant, gently removed makeup, and helped get up some surface level plugs!! I wish this was thicker or more viscous so that it could further penetrate the skin and draw out more impurities. Though I do like this product and it does what the label says it does, I would prefer to buy a thicker oil cleanser. I really like a lot of Clinique’s Moisturizers, but I usually don’t want to pay full price, so i really like going for the minis that this brand has available. TheCLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ is usually my go to under makeup, on cold days or on the go. it has really helped with barrier repair & is dry combo & sensitive skin friendly!!🧖🏾‍♀️ it slips on easy, absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy or oily feeling. no parabens, sulfates, denatured alcohol or fragrance. 🌱Will definitely stock up on some more soon 🧴

Best Affordable Cleansing Oil
I have been double cleansing for quiet some time now, almost 7 years. There were trials and errors along the way of finding the right product for my skin. I first learned about cleansing oil from a youtuber and been doing it religously ever since. I first stumble upon a Korean cleansing oil which was great one. THE FACE SHOP - Rice Water Bright Light Cleansing Oil This cleansing oil is still my best experience with cleansing oils. However I wanted something that I can grab easily and I found PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Cleansing Oil Face it feels a little thicker than TheFaceShop but still does the job very well. When I was surfing for more of their products on their website, I found another “Ultra Gentle” version. #Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula - Ultra Gentle Facial Cleansing Oil[products]#[FiveStars] Both offer almost similar feelings on my skin. Their ingredients are 90% the same. Some of the oils in them are : Soybean oil, Sweet Almond, Apricot oil, Grape Seed oil, Argan oil, Jojoba and Rice Bran oil. Both have fragrance in them(almost the last ingredient) but not overpowering it’s actually a pleasant smell plus they’re ophthalmologist approved!! I don’t wear makeup everyday, but when I do this cleansing oil removes makeup and foundation very well. I use one and a half to 2 pumps for my face and neck on my pm routine. I combine cleansing and massaging almost everyday. One bottle lasts me a long time. You can find them at Walmart, Target or other drugstores, they’re out of stock pretty often, that’s how you can tell it’s almost everyone’s favorite product. I recommend to order it from their website if you can’t get them at the stores. They’re very affordable, under $10 for 190ml/ 6.5 oz on their website. Overall, it is a very good cleansing oil to consider for skincare routine. I’ve used Palmer’s cleansing oil for 2 years now, and it has never failed me. Please let me know if you have any question on your precious comments down below. And have a wonderful day 💕

This is Why You should Apply Cocoa Butter
Cocoa butter is a natural fats that has a list number of benefits including reducing the appearance of stretch marks as well as helping relieve congestions. More on that, it has lupoel cinnamate, a form of of anti-inflavmationary qualities to prevent from tumor growth. Studies have been shown that Cocoa butter is rich in fatty acids, plant sterols and a laundry list of vitamins. It has been used in so many skincare products like body lotions, body oils, that helps to improve skin health; and lip balms. Unlike petroleum-based lip balms that clogs the lips, cocoa butter can be absorbed by the skin and acting like a moisturizer. PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula Body Lotion Actually this is the body lotion from my 6 month pregnant sister. She has been an ingredients freak after pregnancy and cocoa butter is one of the holly grail ingredient that I first heard from her. She started using it 2 months before and she said it feels great on the skin. Since cocoa butter has Vitamin E and other fatty acids benefit of reducing appearance of scars on skin, it is applied in many natural pregnancy products for postpartum recovery. PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula Oil With Vitamin E This body lotion and body oil from Palmer’s are the star products that contains cocoa butter as main ingredients. It is inexpensive and does well as others have mentioned on preventing stretch marks. Works very well at soothing dryness almost immediately. Excellent overall. GARNIER - Whole Blends Coconut Oil & Cocoa Butter Extracts Smoothing Shampoo GARNIER - Whole Blends Smoothing Conditioner With Coconut Oil & Cocoa Butter Extracts Last but not least, cocoa butter is also commonly used in conditioners and shampoos for hair aids in reducing hair loses. It has the effect of preventing onset of male pattern baldness. This set from Garnier is recommended by my classmates in schools who studies engineering and suffered from terrible hair loss. Surprisingly it does reduces the loss of hair in a certain level. Since it also works well for me after 2 weeks of using it. Supper recommended!

Lip care 💋💋👄
When I was a teen I didn’t take care of my lips properly. The only time I would apply chapstick is when my lips would feel dry, cracked, or sore. But hey, now I make sure I take care of my lips. Let’s get into it. BURT’S BEES - Hydrating Lip Oil With Sweet Almond Oil I like this but it doesn’t do the job by itself. Once I apply it feels dry after a while so every second I have to reapply. When I pair it with my cocoa palmers swivel stick it feels hydrating because the oil is locking in that moisture. I don’t like the smell I just wanted to try something new. You can get this at any local Walmart for $3. PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula Swivel Stick I have been using this for a while now and I love love love it. Y’all can tell I have had this for a while because the wording has rubbed off but a little goes a long way. This gets the job done every time, it’s my go to for when my lips starts to feel dry. My lips stay moisturized for a while and I don’t have to reapply it every second. You can get this at your local Walmart for around $3as well. It didn’t pull up the night balm by okeeffes. I’ve been using for a week. Man it’s like my lips are in heaven, I have never felt my lips so soft. Like as soon as you apply it you can tell that it going to make your lips feels soft. My lips stayed hydrated the entire night. Woke up with plump hydrated juicy lips. Y’all should give this a try. Also you can find this at your local Walmart. The spf one is great as well. I bought because I thought it would be cool to try out a spf lip chap. Guilty lol 🤷🏼‍♀️. It keeps my lips moisturize. Man I see okeeffes products are the bomb dot come because I have there hand cream and I talked about that and I’m almost out 😩. Really affordable as well. Let me know if you guys give it a try.

$18 LIPPE BALM—WORTH IT🐘??
I was so excited to try DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lippe Balm out because so many are obsessing over it. I went in having high expectations (my mistake) and was kind of disappointed. The balm itself works well but no different compared to other drugstore balms. For that reason, I will most likely not repurchase. PROs: * Keeps lips moisturized * Multi-purpose can be used as an eye balm * Not oily CONs: * Smell is not pleasant (smells chemically even though it is “clean” at Sephora) * Price point is higher for a lip balm that works identical to others I would compare this balm to the PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula Swivel Stick They have similar textures but in my opinion, Palmer’s Swivel Stick smells better. What are your thoughts? ⬇️

Stretch Mark Prevention 🤰🏻🍼
During pregnancy the skin stretches a lot and it is easy for small breaks to occur due to the lack of elasticity and for unwanted stretch marks to appear. You must have your skin well hydrated throughout your pregnancy, so it is essential to apply a moisturizer or an oil indicated for pregnant women at least twice a day. Here I show you the products that helped me prevent stretch marks during my pregnancy: Bio-Oil - Multiuse Skincare Oil This magical position saved me! Bio‑Oil® Skincare Oil is the world’s leading scar and stretch mark product. NIVEA - Nourishing Care Body Wash NIVEA - NIVEA Crème NIVEA - Essentially Enriched Body Lotion Deep nourishing moisture Reduces the roughness of dry to very dry skin, after just 1 application. Locks in moisture & gives noticeably smoother skin. PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula Oil With Vitamin E PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula, Massage Cream for Stretch Marks I used Palmer’s products for the first few months of my pregnancy, they are good but NIVEA and BIO OIL products make me felt “safer”. Nivea creams and body wash are truly deep and nourishing hydration, I felt the difference immediately. The secret is prevention, the sooner you start is better. Good luck 👍🏻😉

Nighttime routine for combination skin ✨
Hi! I’ve been using every product reviewed for at least 3 weeks & my main concerns are fine lines, blemishes and post acne hyperpigmentation! Let me know your thoughts & recommendations 💕 Cleanser: I start with the BANILA CO - Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Original the 1st balm cleanser I’ve used & so far so good! This removes waterproof mascara to varying degrees of success but all other makeup gets blitzed with this. There is no real fragrance & I’ve not found it drying! Then I use the CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser which I’ve reviewed in my morning skincare routine post Exfoliator: 2-3 times a week I use the Neutrogena - Bright Boost Resurfacing Micro Polish which is the only AHA product in my routine. It has a physical exfoliant texture so I v gently massage it into wet skin and leave it for about a minute. I don’t experience any redness or tingling & my skin does feel very smooth after. I don’t use my retinol on nights I use this! Toner: On a damp face I use the LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer which I’ve reviewed in my morning skincare routine post Serums: Then I use The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 followed by The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% which I’ve reviewed in my morning skincare routine post Moisturiser: I’ve been obsessed with CeraVe - SA Smoothing Cream ever since I got it. It has Urea (great for eczema) & salicylic acid so it’s very hydrating whilst also working against acne. I use this for my bikini line & any back acne I get (full review on my page) When I use the brightening polish I switch out the above for sukin - Facial Moisturiser 125ml so I’m not combining BHA’s & AHA’s. This is a solid, basic moisturiser that hasn’t broken me out & sinks in quickly. It’s rich in jojoba & avocado oil so I tend to skip face oils when I use this! Retinol: after using the neutrogena SA retinol for 6 months & seeing no results I switched to indeed LABORATORIES - Retinol Reface : Skin Resurfacer & Wrinkle Repair I’ve had no irritation & love the light texture. My skin has been feeling plumper & not dry at all. I’ve been using it 4 times a week while my skin adjusts to the higher %! I go over the bad hyperpigmentation with PALMER'S - Skin Success Anti Dark Spot Cream (I have the pump version to avoid air contact & contamination). This product WORKS. It has retinol & liquorice root extract but also seems to contain glitter? Bizarre. Then Neutrogena - Rapid Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream as I like a gentler formulation of retinol for the more delicate skin. This sinks in fast, doesn’t irritate & my dark circles have also decreased since using! Oil: finallyKiehl's - Midnight Recovery Concentrate an oldie but goldie. A great seal & smells 🔥🔥

PLEASSSEEE HELLP
So around early june I got a really bad breakout on my cheeks because i was using tea tree oil (big mistake!) on my face to treat a couple pimples. Ever since then my face has been hell. I still get so many random pimples every day and idk why! my routine: I’ve been using the cetaphil cleanser for years now and it’s never given me any problems but recently i’ve felt like it wasn’t strong enough so i switched to the aveeno salicylic acid cleanser because i heard SA is supposed to help prevent breaks outs. I don’t know if it’s helping or not but i still get pimples/ breakouts. About A month ago i purchased Niacinamide. Idk how to feel about it, it hasn’t really done anything thus far for my skin. And finally i moisturize with cerave which i love and sometimes use the palmers fade cream for my hyperpigmentation. PLEASEEE HELP IDK WHAT TO DO AT THIS POINT ),: Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser felt like it didn’t help more hurt my skinAveeno - Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser still testing it out not sure if it’s working The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Haven’t seen much of a difference CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin love it no complaints PALMER'S - Skin Success Anti Dark Spot Cream really does help if you’re consistent

Say No To Artificial Coconut Scents!
Say No To Artificial Coconut Scents!
I decided to hop on the trend wagon of reviewing drug store products and here is mine! PALMER'S - Coconut Oil Formula Body Lotion was a horrible experience for me. Okay fine, it wasn’t HORRIBLE but it was still very bad. First of all, the scent is so strong of artificial coconut. I’m a big lover of coconut scents, the ones where it makes you think you’re on a trip to a tropical island. So this scent for me...this scent ain’t it chief. It does smell like coconuts, I’ll give them that, but it is SO fake. Like chemicals mixed with coconuts and it just is not a nice scent. The scent has fully put me off the product that I think I will immediately be able to tell when someone has this body lotion on their body. Also, this body lotion is very thin, it just disappears the second you put it on your body, the only thing left on your body is that horrible scent. It is the least moisturising body lotion that I have ever used, and I’m just overall very disappointed with this product. Glad I bought this on sale, as paying the full price is NOT worth it for this product in my opinion. Rating: ★

PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula , With Vitamin E I would shrivel up if I couldn’t use body lotion. This lotion is WONDERFUL! I’ve been using this for almost two months straight all over my body and I love it so much. It’s so hydrating and it smells delicious! I get compliments all the time on how good it smells :) It makes my skin feel so soft and smooth. It’s fast absorbing and is perfect for those with sensitive skin. Bonus: helps even out skin tone, reduce the appearance of marks and scars, and can be used after sun exposure.
