What saved my Hair!
Okay! So a month ago I visited a hair salon for the first time in 4 years for just a consult. It resulted in information I pretty much new but needed a professional opinion. Long story short years of box dye and not a lot of trimming and treating led to 6 inches of damage, bleeding 🩸 hair follicles ( basically my color has been bleeding out for years) and breakage that moved up to the top! All horrible. 😖 My hair was in need of some serious help! WHAT MY STYLIST RECOMMENDED! She sent me home with new clean products and told me not to buy any more box dye... I agreed. R+Co - Super Garden CBD shampoo Gluten-free- Vegan - UV protection - infused with Hemp derived CBD. COST- 36$ Very good clarifying shampoo to rid your hair of all the gunk that has built up with products and such. Smells Amazing! Nice gentle natural clean scent that is slightly minty. It does not smell like ya know....🤗😂 Leaves you with an invigorating clean feeling scalp! The CBD helps soothe scalp dryness, inflammation, helps promote hair growth, and moisturizes the strands. R+Co - Dallas Biotin Thickening Conditioner Paraben free, sulfate free, petroleum and mineral oil free, gluten free, vegan and cruelty free, also with UV protection. Contains biotin to help fight breakage, build volume, and repair the hair follicles. COST- 29$ Has a nice natural scent that is very mild. Super moisturizing. Helps restore damaged hair. Leonor Greyl - Huile de Leonor Greyl COST- 20$ for the very small bottle of oil you see in the picture. Use this oil as a pre-shampoo treatment for dry, over-processed hair. Contains natural UVA/B filters, also can be used to protect your hair from damaging effects of chlorine and salt water. Leonor Greyl - Masque Fleurs de Jasmin Nourishing Hair Mask not in the picture I had samples, this stuff is expensive 😱 65$ for strengthening and shine boosting. WHAT I DID! So I wash my hair about every 2 days. I asked my stylist and she said it depends on the person, my hair gets super gross about every 2 days so yeah. Shampoo my scalp, condition from my ears down to the ends, as recommended by my stylist. Give my hair a cool rinse at the end to close up all the follicles, totally a real thing. As far as treating, I applied the oil to my hair from my ears down, work through with a boar bristle brush to the top of my hair, then I put on my turbine twist and applied a hot towel for 30 minutes. Then I applied the moisture treatment on top of that for ears down and left it wrapped for 20 minutes. Then I washed my hair. I did not rinse the treatments out immediately but got them wet and then shampooed, follow by conditioner. This is what she recommended and it WORKS Y’all!!! It’s pretty pricey for a monthly cost so I plan to find something more budget friendly even though I am happy with results. My hair no longer bleeds! ❤️❤️🤗🤗👏👏 I do get regular cuts now too!

Why box dyes are the WORST!
This maybe an unpopular opinion 😂 but in my defense I have been a die hard box dye user for 13 years!!!! 😳 My hair type is straight and fine, and blonde naturally. Like a medium ash blonde. Anyway, I have been all tones and shades of black, and browns over the year always staying on the dark side..😁 and also have NEVER used bleach on my hair!!! Recently I wanted to do a black to silver ombré and as you can see in previous posts my hair is all shades of Fades reds, purples, and browns... so quite the change! So I went to visit a hair stylist and talk hair health and options. The condition of my hair is dry and troubled. Breakage has climbed up my hair. I have 6 inches of damaged ends....between the years of evil 👿 box dyes, hormonal changes, and bad hair products....my dream of black to silver is not gonna happen unless I shave my head and start with fresh new hair! 😩Which I am not gonna do. The stylist did offer to do a test strand but there was definitely concern for frying my hair or it breaking off in the process. Sooo I opted for hair health over color at this time!!!! My New Hair Journey So now I have switched to a vegan clean shampoo and conditioner by r+Co. R+Co - Super Garden CBD shampoo R+Co - Dallas Biotin Thickening Conditioner Also trying out.... Leonor Greyl - Masque Fleurs de Jasmin Nourishing Hair Mask Leonor Greyl - Huile de Leonor Greyl They all get 5 stars at this time because I am hopeful! I have used r+Co products before and loved them. This is what was suggested by my stylist as well as regular trims and treatments at the salon. My New Hair Goals! Just getting healthy! Keeping my length and chilling out on dyes at this time. I do plan to do a black to purple ombré once my hair is happier but right now with all the breakage it will just bleed 🩸 out as my hair has currently been doing already with the boxed stuff. Hair Care is IMPORTANT ⚠️ You got your skin care, don’t forget your hair! Use clean (vegan) products!!!! It will cost more but don’t keep packing sulfates, parabens and other harsh chemicals onto your scalp and hair!!! Think about it this way, cheap ready made frozen meals are convenient and easy on the wallet but....your not getting any nutrients! Same with hair care and hair dye. It’s cheap for a reason. Hair dye specifically, you get what you pay for! It is permanent color and PERMANENT CHEMICALS!!! They permanently stain the proteins of your hair and change its chemical make up. Chemicals that will make your hair dry and brittle leading to damage to your hair and breakage. No way out but to cut! 😭 soo if you want beautiful healthy hair, steer clear of boxed dyes. Not everyone feels this way but maybe after a decade and hormonal changes they might feel differently. 😁 Now I have to be patient, and focus on the health of my hair so I can keep my length. 🤗 Still sad about the silver though...

If you are looking for volume and shine, this is the shampoo for you!
My hair is medium thickness but extremely fine. I really don’t like the hair falling flat. Since my scalp is oily, easily losing hair also disturbed me. So my requirement for shampoo is to moisturize, add volume and avoid hair from thinning.   Leonor Greyl - Shampooing Au Miel Gentle Volumizing Shampoo Then my friend recommend Leonor Greyl to me. And she said this shampoo is perfect for the thinning hair. It’s a gentle enough volume-boosting shampoo can be used every day.   Formulated with aromatic acacia honey extracts, plants extracts and body-building proteins, it looks and feels like honey.   Honestly speaking, the washing experience may not that good when I first used it. Because this shampoo does not lather great, it made you feel it clean your hair. However it turns out that I was too worried.   My hair feels clean and the shine is amazing when I blow the hair dry. It does not lather well because it does not contain ingredients that can damage and dry out your hair.   After using it a few times, I am totally locked in on this product! It’s a great smelling shampoo that adds loads of volume.   I am pretty excited that I find such a natural shampoo. This shampoo is a hair-changer, which makes my hair so much fuller and healthier looking.   It not only restores flexibility, volume, and shine to your hair, but also does a good job in preventing hair loss.   When I used it in first few times, the hair loss is still terrible. After using one bottle, the problem of losing hair has been greatly improved. You can count the amount of hair loss with your fingers. The hair is no longer easy to break either.   It can be said that Leonor Greyl met all my requirements for shampoo. I surely will repurchase it!

😱Leonor Greyl PARIS helps my coarse hair!!
Leonor Greyl - Shampooing Reviviscence Specific Shampoo Leonor Greyl - Algues et Fleurs Restructuring Styling Spray Leonor Greyl - Masque Fleurs de Jasmin Nourishing Hair Mask Leonor Greyl has over 40 years in the hair business and used “natural” products back in 1968 before it was in fashion. Palm oil, magnolia and honey are some of the botanicals used in the products. She and her husband, who is a chemical engineer and self-professed ‘plant magician’, created the products in order to benefit the quality of the hair. Their company is known all over the globe for being the brand specialists in using high grade ingredients in all of their products. All ingredients are environmentally safe and are created with delicate aromas and plant extracts. Leonor’s daughter Caroline and husband Tom have brought Leonor Greyl into the 21st century having their products available in over four-hundred and fifty salons worldwide, sixty Sephoras, fifty department stores and in more than twenty countries. First up is the Shampooing Reviviscence. It’s designed for brittle, lifeless hair, and when I’ve used it I’ve seen a significant increase in volume, which is great because I’ve been struggling with volume ever since I started growing my hair longer. However, when I let it air dry without a product it gets a bit frizzier than my normal shampoo does, but that’s easily remedied. 😉 My hair also feels super clean and lightweight after washes with this product (significantly more so than any other product I’ve ever tried), though the curls don’t dry as “structured” as they would with a product designed for curly/wavy hair. Then is my fav mask from Leonor Greyl. It contains a musky, yet sweet, scented formula with Jasmine extract. Also containing Jojoba, Shea butter and extracts from the Acacia Senegal tree, the ingredients promote strength, lustre and shine. The mask is designed for use after shampooing, to be left on for three minutes and rinsed off. It can be used as a weekly intensive treatment or a daily conditioner. Available in a 200ml tub, the mask is paraben and silicone free, making it lightweight on the hair and suitable for all hair types. This mask like a drink of water for my hair — all of my tangles were gone within minutes of using the treatment. This is meant for use on towel dried hair after shampoo and is meant to be kept in for 10 minutes. This product has been honored in 1999 by Marie Claire magazine and was awarded the Prix d’Excellence Hors Categorie. In the Printemps department stores in France, it is known as one of the best haircare products and has a light fragrance of Indian Jasmine Flower. The third one has easily been my go-to product, and I’m about halfway through the bottle! It’s totally earned it’s place with my daily hair care products. My favourite way to use it is after shampooing/conditioning with my staple products (all from Alterna’s Caviar Anti-Aging range), then working a squirt of the Sea Silk Oil Gel through my hair before air drying. Then on the second day after the wash, this product adds just the right amount of lift and structure. But to test out these products, I’ve benched the Alterna ones.

Luxurious Hair mask for damaged hair
Luxurious Hair mask for damaged hair
Product claims: A deep conditioning mask for thick, dry hair. Treat frizzy or curly hair to the nourishing and softening effects to this mask. It’s packed with hair-strengthening wheat ceramides, shine enhancing silk proteins and botanical oils. Super smooth, glossy and revitalized tresses guaranteed More details: can be used as an everyday conditioner or as a weekly intensive treatment. My experience: This mask has been an amazing addition to my haircare routine. After getting my hair colored I have struggled to keep my hair hydrated and moisturized. First of all this mask smells so luxurious and heavenly! I leave it on for about 10 minutes and I love how soft my hair feels after using it. Most of the hair masks which are softening weighs my hair down but this stuff doesn’t. I have taken off one star from the review because I really wish it was under $50. It’s a great mask but it’s kinda overly priced. Do I recommend this to others: yes if you have a budget to splurge on a hair mask then this is definitely worth trying Price: $65 for 7 oz.

Leonor Greyl-Masque À L'orchidée Softening Hair Mask
Nourishing styling serum for damaged hair
Nourishing styling serum for damaged hair
A silicone-free hair serum that tamed flyaways while imparting moisture and shine More details: tamed unruly locks with a nourishing botanical formula to improve hair’s appearance and manageability. Enriched with jojoba and wheat germ oils, this hair serum nourishes parched locks while wheat proteins fortifies and strengthens against breakage. Hazel seed oil reduced frizz and flyaways, leaving hair with a soft, glossy finish. This formula is silicone- and coal tar-free My experience: I’m super picky when it comes to Haircare products because I have itchy and dandruff prone scalp, dry and lifeless hair even though I have only gotten them color treated once in my entire life. This serum is amazing, it really helps my frizziness and gives my hair such a healthy shine. I try to not apply heat to my hair when I don’t have any plans to go out and my hair is usually very dry if I don’t style it. This serum is definitely a must have on those days because it makes my hair soft and manageable too. I do think that for the price, the quantity is little less than you would expect. But other than that it’s a great serum which nourishes and helps styling my hair. Do I recommend this: the price is a bit up there but when I think about how other brands perform in comparison to leoner greyl proroducts, I would choose to splurge on this one. Price: $46 for 2.5 oz.
