Combo/Oily Morning Routine and Flash Review
Hi, everyone! I hope your weekend was well :) After doing a quick water cleanse, I went in with hyper - Hyper Clear Brightening Clearing Vitamin C Serum which my skin has been loving! I haven’t had any irritation or breakout, plus I think this helps keep congestion at bay with the added kojic acid and enzymes. It’s super light and anyone with oilier skin will love! EDIBLE BEAUTY - Turmeric Beauty Latte Serum Clear and Brighten this is a new find that I just started using, so haven’t quite formed an opinion yet. It’s supposed to act as a non-active clarifying serum, which is exactly something I need, especially during the day. It’s has a light, watery texture, def smells a bit like turmeric, but so far it’s great! NIOD - Modulating Glucosides this is my new love! After going through a bout of sensitive and red skin once the weather started changing, once I included this into my routine (mostly apply to my cheeks and forehead), I’ve noticed my skin is significant calmer. It’s also great as a light moisturizer for oily skin in the morning! KEEP COOL - Soothe Bamboo Sun Essence SPF50+ another new LOVE! Might be my holy grail sunscreen, seriously. The only way to describe it is if Purito Comfy Water and Purito Centella had a baby, meaning it should work beautifully for both drier and oilier skin types. It leaves a satin finish, no greasiness throughout the day and is super pleasant to reapply!

The Ordinary and NIOD: Worth the hype?🤔
We all concern one problem when choosing skincare or cosmetic products: is this famous product really worthy to buy? Sometimes there are many advertising invested from beauty company so that we can see their products on TV, or newspaper or even YouTube. But for brands like The Ordinary and Neutrogena, we still know there are a lot of ‘soft’ ads on the Internet. Are they really worthy to buy?   The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 This is definitely the most famous product it has created. Now every brand has its own hyaluronic acid serum and this is one of the cheapest and works for so many people. It contains hyaluronic acid to make skin smooth and supple and Vitamin B5 to boost skin renewal and healing. For a water-based serum, this one is light and thick and doesn’t have a strange smell at all. I have tried this for a week and, to be honest,  I abandoned it right after this torturing week. My face says no to it; it feels nice on hand but not on the face. It dries quickly on my face and my T-zone becomes more oily than ever. This is not my cup of tea and I have to say that it is really cheap without any fancy promotion, ask for a sample before purchasing it.    NIOD - Modulating Glucosides I went online and bought this emulsion from NIOD’s core regimen series. NIOD and The Ordinary are from the same company and this one is definitely more pricy than most products from The Ordinary. This is an emulsion that can soothe sensitive and flakier skin caused by retinol and calm down the skin with redness. It is said that it can boost the production of collagen and new blood vessels to make skin look younger and more even. It went viral for a while online and I have to say that it needs to be famous that much. My face is no itchier after using retinol and my acne scars got lighter. It was on discount when I bought it and 20 dollars is way too good for this amazing product. Really recommend this one. 👍

Thou shall hydrate thy skin.
Learning how to properly hydrate my skin was a game changer in improving my hormonal acne. Not only does it provide instant relief and skin plumping abilities, but overtime it has helped balance my oily skin and improved my overall skin health. It is like adding milk to a cupcake mix, you need it to complete the recipe. This is what's currently on my rotation: I'm from - Mugwort Essence - The hype is real - this is a beautiful essence that feels instantly soothing on first application. It is a viscous texture that leaves the skin plump, juicy, and glowy and slowly evens out minor bouts of redness. I never thought anything would be more effective at calming my skin than centella, but this proved me wrong. It plays nicely with other products, is easy to layer and packs a good punch of hydration. I did notice that overtime my skin became less reactive and has been helpful for keeping my skin healthy and happy. I went on a short trip last month and didn't use this for a few days (the glass bottle is not ideal to travel with), my skin was definitely more reactive and irritated. I may repurchase in the future, but I have other mugwort/artemisia first essences on my list. Benton - Deep Green Tea Toner - A refreshing toner that is weightless but has a good amount of hydration after 2-3 layers. I prefer this over the Isntree green tea toner (which I found too astringent for my skin). It did somewhat calm redness and breakouts (not as drastically as the mugwort essence) and helped to balance out oil production. I prefer this in the summertime, but anyone living in the more humid climate will likely enjoy this toner. Since it's colder in Canada, I pair this with I'm From Mugwort Essence for a more comforting balance. NIOD - Superoxide Dismutase Saccharide Mist - I was the most excited about this due to its cult following. It's touted as a dermal treatment mist with potent antioxidant properties and fights inflammation while delivering high levels of hydration. I must admit I didn't get off to a good start with this mist - my barrier was slightly sensitized from retinoid treatment and this stung upon application. After my barrier healed, this felt comfortable, plumping and hydrating on the skin. This didn’t exactly help in terms of calming my skin or reducing redness, especially compared to the mugwort essence. I think this would be more suitable for people concerned with photoaging. That said, it is still a nice hydrating mist and great way to incorporate reliable antioxidants into your routine. What are some of your favourite hydrators?

Current PM Routine: Normal Skin
Note: The micellar water I use to remove my waterproof mascara is not pictured (I use the waterproof Marcelle micellar water) I’ve done previous reviews for each product so I won’t go into too much detail. 1). Remove my mascara with the previously mentioned micellar water 2). Cleanse my face with the Allies of Skin - Molecular Silk Amino Hydrating Cleanser With this cleanser it’s best to apply to dry skin and massage around face and neck. I then follow by apply a small amount of water to lather the cleanser before ringing with lukewarm water. 3). The perfect, gentle-yet-effective toner: PESTLE & MORTAR - Exfoliate Glycolic Acid Toner 180ml It not only ensures a day’s dirt, grime, and makeup are completely removed from the skin, but I find it has made my complexion so much more balanced in terms of oiliness in my pore area (it’s non-existent at this point). 4). I always, aways use NIOD - Superoxide Dismutase Saccharide Mist Antioxidants in skincare are so important. It’s great at helping with water loss, oxidative stress, and inflammation. It’s so refreshing to apply to freshly cleansed skin. 5). I don’t let the mist dry onto my skin. I’ll leave it sitting for a few minutes and while my face is still slightly damp I apply PESTLE & MORTAR - Pure Hyaluronic Serum This hyaluronic serum is so hydrating and feels lovely on the skin. It’s perfect for locking in that moisture from the face mist. 6). GRAYDON - Fullmoon Serum A plant-based retinol alternative. My holy grail. My skin has never looked better since using this consistently. My skin is smooth and overall looks healthy. 7). The BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream is my favourite eye cream and has been my go-to for months. It’s super hydrating and doesn’t make my concealer crease :) 8). The YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream is SO nice! It’s a light-weight gel cream. It has a lovely fresh scent that’s not overpowering. It’s quite hydrating as well. When I use these products my skin feels hydrated, smooth, and overall healthy :)

Skincare for enlarged pores&redness prone skin!
Love a gentle face wash for AM, hyaluronic acid then vitamin C is a must have for the morning. Then seal it all in with a moisturizer and then eye cream around the eyes. Lastly, sunscreen! Which is probably the most important part :) PM is face wash- HA serum- face cream - then wait for that to dry is key! - then apply tretinoin or retinol to minimize irritation. Eye cream to finish off When wearing makeup, break up with cleansing balm or micellar water then double cleanse! Two Kaolin Surprises: One Good + One Bad
I had very different expectations for these products. I’m not gonna lie, my hopes were low for THE inkey LIST - Kaolin Clay Mask because it seemed deceptively simple. I expected it to be another drying mud mask- but it’s incredibly hydrating, leaving my skin soft but not oily. I’m a big fan of the ingredient list, which features oil-absorbing kaolin clay, nourishing sunflower seed oil, calming aloe, soothing centella extract, and a pleasant surprise in the form of the antioxidant vitamin e. I enjoy this so much I’ve been using it 2-3 times per week just because of how soft it makes my skin! So happy to have received it from the brand in a giveaway. I was very excited to receive the NIOD - Flavanone Mud Mask I ordered- I love the five other NIOD products I’ve used and was expecting some serious anti-congestion results. This definitely removed any excess oils but the whole “respect for dermal integrity” was not there for my sensitive skin. A patch test on my neck went fine but the actual facial experience was... well, I only left it on for five minutes versus the recommended ten. I rinsed it off and experienced mild tingling, nothing terrible- my skin was red but I expected that after reading reviews and the website description. The irritation came about a minute or two later when I sprayed my face with SDSM, NIOD’s mist. It felt like my face was on fire! It only worsened when I applied my moisturizer. The next morning, I had a lot of sensitivity and closed comedones in areas I normally don’t breakout, as well as more stinging whenever I applied my moisturizer. I am too nervous to try it again, I’m going to return it and try out their CAIS2 instead, I think! This popular mask -packed full of a variety of antioxidants and clays- would better suit someone with more durable skin looking for a deep-cleansing weekly facial.

Pores Be Gone!
This mask will literally vacuum all the gunk out of your pores!! It's a clay mask, but totally different from other clay based masks. It uses a three-phase system to decongest the skin - a purifying phase, a protective phase, and a responsive phase. A super thin layer is needed, unlike other clay masks that need a thick layer to be effective. I use it once a week and my skin is totally smooth, decongested and brighter! I especially notice how well it works on my nose where sebum builds up and more pores are super visible, once rinsing the mask my nose is smooth and glowy! I don't find it too drying and don't feel a need to follow up with any hydrating masks, though I usually will. 100ml retails for $60 which is a better price than the smaller 50ml that retails for $39. It will also last you FOREVER since a thin layer is all you need. It's definitely going to be a repurchase for me! NIOD - Flavanone Mud Mask

A REALLY GOOD WAY TO SPEND $7
As you all probably know, I’m more of a skincare person over makeup. I’m a totally beginner who doesn’t like to spend a lot of time of my face so once I find something that does the trick I’m usually set on it. So maybe the title was a little bit of a stretch cause the primer is $30, but honestly the foundation ($7) is amazing on its own too ✨ I’m a huge fan of The Ordinary - Colours Coverage Foundation with SPF 15 and wanted to show it in action the comparison is NIOD - Photography Fluid, Opacity 12% and TO foundation ONLY 😍 FOUNDATION : 💪🏼 |PERFORMANCE| This water based foundation glides evenly and smoothly over skin. It gives great coverage, and effectively covers my redness and hyperpigmentation! I like the final look that is more of a matte finish. My skin can get oily, so I typically use a setting powder and powder contour to finish off. 🤲🏻 |TEXTURE| the texture is thinner then most foundations I’ve used in the past but by no means runny. Personally I think it’s a really nice consistency. Their website describes it as a lightweight, non-oily cream 🌿 👃🏻|SCENT| This product doesn’t really give off anything other then like regular makeup smell ? Haha 💦 |INGREDIENTS| I feel like their aren’t any super notable or beneficial ingredients in these formulas ( other then having SPF of course which is always a bonus) but there also aren’t any ingredients that are going to cause harm to your skin 💛 💸 |VALUE| for $6.90 to me this foundation is a no brainer, it’s great value, and works like a charm. PRIMER: 💪🏼 |PERFORMANCE| I Reaaally like this product. As a person who’s skin has a lot of red undertones, I find this primer super useful for skin correcting. In the summertime I typically apply it just under some powder foundation and am impressed with the results. Initially when applied it almost looks sparkly and you can tell that is all the small particles catching the light so I think it needs to be covered with a light powder so that those particles can just sneak through at all the right times (especially when it comes to taking photos) 🤲🏻 |TEXTURE| a little bit thicker than a serum I would say, spreads nicely and sticks to skin and stays in place. Just be careful around eyebrows and hair line as it will stick to anything porous. 👃🏻|SCENT| this product is unscented, but does have an extremely light but pleasant cosmetic kind of smell. 💦 |INGREDIENTS| the ingredients in this product are vegan and cruelty free . NIOD as a brand overall is very science driven and I have a lot of respect for their trailblazing formulas and ingredients. 💸 |VALUE| the price of this bottle was $30 Canadian for 30ml, I find a little goes along way and you if we’re using it every single day it would probably still last you a couple months. This is my go to primer whenever I am wearing makeup and will continue to keep it as a staple in my makeup routine ❤️

ABOUT THIS PRODUCT An instant treatment that is serum textured, contains a wide array or light refracting prisms, tone and hue correctors and topical photo-finishing technologies to offer even radiant skin in seconds. SAVE YOUR MONEY 💸💸💸
Folx, my typical moisturizer is NIOD - Hydration Vaccine . It’s amazing, I love it I can’t get enough of it... BUT I ran out of it while visiting my parents for a couple days... I thought I’d pick something up that I hadn’t tried before and man oh man did I make a mistake. Big mistake. Huge. 💪🏼 |PERFORMANCE| I don’t think a product could have left my skin more greasy.. such a disappointment it just sat on top and didn’t soak in really.. and irritated my skin. I had A LOT of redness after using. 🤲🏻 |TEXTURE| medium thickness, decent spread ability feels very oily/ greasy and thin once warmed by your hands 👃🏻|SCENT| .....OFFENSIVE..... Seriously.. the intense lavender/ kinda sage scent coming from this is enough to give you a headache. 💦 |INGREDIENTS| this product contains Limonene, Linalool which are known ingredients to cause irritation I some people’s skin 👎🏻 💸 |VALUE| in Canada this costs $40!!!!!!! For a 50ml bottle.... needless to say I do not recommend, and will not repurchase... in the meantime I’ve been using this on my legs and body to try and get my money’s worth. HONEST - Deep Hydration Face Cream Can anyone redeem Honest beauty products?! This is the only product I’ve tried from them are there good ones out there ?

Let’s talk about what’s under my mask..
It’s summer, it’s humid, it’s hot and I sweat under my mask a lot. I use Multi Molecular Hyaluronic Complex, Hydration Vaccine and Niacinamide. NIOD - Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Complex Topical hyaluronic supplementation by combining 15 forms of hyaluronic compounds. Offers water-based hydration and helps skin surface look plump, elastic, comfortable and uniform. I did used to use the Ordinary Hyaluronic acid, but in my opinion I didn’t like the gel like formula MMHC is more on the watery side. NIOD - Hydration Vaccine I use this behind my ears.. I don’t have the silicone covers and my ears just get irritated. This is one of the “moisturizers” in the NIOD line. Like on the site it’s “a "breathing", adaptive hydration seal.” It differs from a normal “moisturizer” as it offers oils and lubricants (silicone). (One of my favourites during the winter to protect my face from the harsh Canadian wind chill 😭) The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Now this serum is a win or a loss for most people. Niacinamide isn’t an active but some people still react to it by purging for two weeks. Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) reduces the appearance of skin blemishes and congestion (black and white heads) Supported in the formula by zinc to balance visible aspects of sebum activity. ^ because this area sweats a lot I like how this serum controls it. Others that can also be used are: The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque Salicylic Acid 2% Masque is formulated to target lacklustre tone and textural irregularities. Infused with charcoal and clays, aims to enhance the appearance of smoothness and clarity, leaving the skin feeling refreshed. Leave on for no longer than 10 min and wash off. Can also be used as a spot treatment on acne. The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%No stars as it’s not available in Canada so I haven’t tried it. Multifunctional brightening formula. Brightens, improves skin tone, improves the evenness of skin texture and reducing the look of blemishes. It has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits. Multi-functional support ingredient for all skin types and also acts as an effective antioxidant. Comes in a lotion/creamy like texture.

Serums for different budgets ❣️
I know how expensive skincare can be (especially those super powerful acidic serums we all crave 🥺 and don't even get me started on walking into sephora with a budget in mind and leaving with more than you bargained for lol amirite) So i've gathered some of my faves that are super effective even for various price points :) And in the end i'm gonna name my #1 👀 L E A S T EXPENSIVE TO M O S T EXPENSIVE: $6: : The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Damn this thing does more for less! I'd say if i had to price it just based on its effectiveness and sustainability, i'd price it at $20! If you have clogged pores like me and an overproduction of sebum, then this seals the deal (literally). The texture of my nose has gone from being bumpy to smoothed out in less than 3 days :0 I continue to use it day and night, and only a drop does the job! $25: íUNIK - Beta Glucan Power Moisture Serum I already shared my full in-depth review of this product on my page which you can check out! But to sum it up, this gal is ideal for drier skin types searching for that extra moisture to quench its thirst ;) Although suitable for all types and super moisturizing for the coming drier months ahead :) $40: NIOD - RE: Pigment Serum Designed to help minimize those pigmentations that just won't budge and help even the skin tone. I'd say it does more than just that! It's been helping me with smoothness, preventing spots as well as leaving my skin hydrated. (My only 2 reasons for the 4 stars is it's not as effective as a Vitamin C serum/oil for PIH + it has an oily-like texture to it that takes my skin a bit longer to digest.) $138 (but less on different sites):iS CLINICAL - Active Serum YA I K THAT PRICE IS WILD but...hear me out. Holy canoli does it work. My scarring was drastically reduced as was pigmentation, irritation and blackheads/whiteheads and acne. I'll admit I was a bit skeptical and hesitant at first- after all it's an active. But my sensitive skin didn't react! Now I use it every other night :) (Go at your own risk tho ofc!) Seriously still blown away by the power in two drops of this 👀♥️ aaaaaand my champion award goes to........... iS CLINICAL - Active Serum! 🏅🏆🎖🥇 ik ik it's the least affordable one, but if you can save up for it or get it as a sample from an aesthetician, it's definitely worth the try! Second best would definitely be NIOD's for its hydration :) Which serum is your favourite? One that's not on this list? Lemme know! ♥️

Re: Pigmentation
Re: Pigmentation NIOD - RE: Pigment Serum I’m obsessed with all things The Ordinary so I ventured onto the Deciem website to see what else I could buy. I came across this and had to try it! It’s a “multi pathway brightening system”. That alone really intrigued me! Description: “A highly-saturated, ultra-lightweight, emollient solution incorporating modern advances in biotechnology and peptide technology to fight signs of one of the most complex-to-treat dermal concerns: hyperpigmentation. This formula visibly counteracts both uneven pigmentation, such as spots, as well as overall pigmentation issues through several pathways. This multi-pathway approach optimizes the synergy between the technologies in contrast to networked technologies that approach visible pigmentation through the same mechanisms.” Directions: Lightly shake and apply serum to face in the AM or PM. *use sunscreen with this and avoid unnecessary UV exposure* Likes: This product feels great on the skin! It’s light-weight and doesn’t leave you feeling greasy. Just a few drops goes a long way! Dislikes: A 15 mL bottle was $39 CAD, and a 30 mL bottle is $70 CAD. It’s so tiny compared to 30 mL of The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA which is great for hyperpigmentation (and it’s only $8.90 CAD!!!) The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA

NIOD FECC 7 WEEK UPDATE
So is Niod worth the price tag??? absolutely 💯!! I didn't really notice the difference at first but since I have been photographing my journey the picture says it all!! Now I can't attribute it all only to NIOD - Fractioned Eye Contour Concentrate even thought I know these technologies had a lot to do with it. I have also been using #Ole Henriksen - Uplifting Transformation eye gel [products]#[FiveStars] at night on top of FECC and SHISEIDO - Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Intensive Eye Contour Cream during the day over FECC. The combination of these have created amazing results. Not gonna lie the price of each one when purchased at full price is on the higher end. I found ole henriksen and the shiseido both at tj maxx for a bit less. Shiseido can run upwards of $64 however i found it at tj maxx for 34. You need only the smallest amount as it spreads very easily. Ole Henriksen when purchased from his site will cost $24 for 1/2 oz but I found it at tj maxx for $12 again only a small amount of produced is needed for each eye. Niod can run $68 for 15 mL however you need only one small drop for each eye. I have been using it twice a day for 8 weeks and I have only used about an 1/3 rd of a bottle. Also there are different websites you can find coupons to help bring that price tag down. So are these items worth the cost? I believe so!

Niod FECC worth it??
I recently purchased NIOD - Fractioned Eye Contour Concentrate[] because I ran out of my Hylamide - SubQ Eyes I like my hylamide subq. but it is frequently sold out and I'm not sure the results were really amazing after using an entire bottle over 4 months. I do feel like after a few weeks of using my fine lines were getting less visible and I saw more results then I did with hylamide. Unfortunately I had a huge setback when I tried a new eye cream on top of it and had a bad chemical burn from the new cream ( product discussed in my previous post). Well my skin has healed enough to start my face routine again however due to the damage I have new lines and wrinkles I now have to fix. So I will update my review on FECC after I have used it again. From my previous results I have very high hopes for it.

Modulating Glucosides by Niod
Modulating Glucosides by Niod (Deciem) It’s a serum with thick cream consistency of baby yellow colour. It’s a cocktail of numerous ingredients to target sensitivity and inflammation. What is it for: 🐣calming sensitive skin 🐣reduce inflammation 🐣reduce itching and peeling 🐣restore skin 🐣reducing stinging feeling 🐣reducing redness Overall it’s a great product that calms skin within like 8 minutes. Reducing the feeling of stressed irritated skin. I can’t use it more than once in two days as it can break my skin out, but I still love it and enjoying it. Also your skin will feel more hydrated, balanced and moistured. In a long run I don’t think it had influence on my rosacea or flushing, as Azelaic Acid helps a lot more with this. This is great of your skin is easily irritated by acids, as this serum would go before anything else. The key ingredients that I think make it work is Bisabol, Glucosides, amino Acids, Tetrasodium Tetracarboxymethyl Naringeninchalcone,Superoxide Dismutase (which you can get as Mist from Niod) and others. All of them have great properties and are useful for people with sensitive skin.

Some products I want to share:
Some products I want to share: Modulating Glucosides by Niod Used this for three months and it really saved my skin during winter as well as helped me when my red cheeks have been playing up. Will I repurchase? Don’t think so as I think of getting a new serum from elan. Ascorbyl Glucoside 12% Solution by The Ordinary This is my all time favourite, it really helps my tone and redness in the mornings. Even trying a different type of Vit C (which went horribly wrong), I came back to this one so I already have a back up. So definitely it’s staying. 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Oil by The Ordinary This has a special place in my heart. Use it in the nights, and I enjoy moisture it gives my skin and the way my skin behaves while using it. Unfortunately wasn’t been able to repurchase. But a unique one is Rose Hip Oil by theinkeylist . Azelaic Acid 10% by The Ordinary This is staying indefinitely in my routine unless I won’t need it anymore. My combination skin enjoys it a lot❤️ . Eye Concentrate by La Mer This is a sample I got from a facial with La Mer, I fell in love with it I use it in conjunction with polaar instant eye Energiser (review coming soon) and once in many years I don’t need to wear a concealer for my genetically dark circles. Also have another one in the go, and even considering getting a full size. Multi Peptide High Density By The Ordinary —deciem Used it for two months, definitely saw new hair growth, but hate the consistency, it’s very hard to use as it’s water like. So I guess the effect isn’t worth a repurchase for me. (Full review is coming up soon) All Clean Balm by —heimish Got this as a sample from style . I actually fell in love with this thing. So I will definitely will order it quite soon. It’s a beautiful balm to oil to milk cleanser and it works well for a double cleanse in the evenings.

Battle of the Hydration Serums: Hyaluronic Acid
Battle of the Hydration Serums: Hyaluronic Acid
Me: Combination Skin, Eczema, Hormonal Acne, Very Sensitive. I had dehydrated, super oily skin for the longest time. I started using a hydrating serum (Drunk Elephant B-Hydra) and by giving my skin the hydration it desperately needed, I saw my sebum production reduce drastically. Over the years, I’ve used different HA-packed serums and want to share my experience. In the photo, they’re organized from thickest (Drunk Elephant) to thinnest (NIOD), but I’ll be ranking them from least to most favourite. 5. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 is a fave of many budget ($6.80/30mL) routines. It is a goopy, odorless serum that’s not quite a liquid or a gel. It utilizes sodium hyaluronate and sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer as well as a couple other hydrating ingredients. Very basic. I used it twice a day. After applying, my skin felt hydrated- and tacky! It took a bit to dry down and made my moisturizer pill. But it did hydrate my skin nicely and didn’t irritate so it’s “okay”. I won’t purchase again. 4. THE inkey LIST - Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum is a good budget ($7.99/30mL) HA serum. It is a thin liquid serum that soaks in quickly. It not only includes sodium hyaluronate and actual hyaluronic acid, but other humectants and a couple peptides as well. It hydrated my skin and didn’t cause any pilling issues- plus I noticed some plumping after a couple weeks of twice-daily use. I would purchase this again if I was looking for a budget HA serum! 3. NIOD - Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Complex is cool, but pricy at $60/30mL. the thinnest liquid of the group, it soaks in nearly instantly. The INCI list is stacked, including 15 forms of hyaluronic acid and HA precursors, plus peptides, for hydration, soothing, and anti-aging benefits. It soothed redness and made my skin feel so soft and hydrated, very plump, after twice daily use for a couple weeks. But the results aren’t worth the price since I use a separate peptide serum. I won’t repurchase. 2. DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum is a bouncy gel with sodium hyaluronate, sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer, and niacinamide, it costs $48 for 50mL. It soaks in slowly but completely. Twice daily use for only a couple weeks transformed my skin- hydrated and less oily! It also includes pineapple ceramide and plant extracts. I enjoy this serum and can’t recommend it enough to oily/combo folks. I repurchase often as it’s so nice to layer with other serums without any pilling. 1. PAULA'S CHOICE - Hyaluronic Acid Booster is my favourite HA serum. Sodium hyaluronate, hyaluronic acid, 3 ceramides, and many other humectants beef up this INCI list. This serum has helped me so much with my eczema and any redness, making my skin plump, soft, more even, and wonderfully hydrated. It’s a “creamy” gel that I happily apply twice daily, with zero pilling. I’ll repurchase forever, even at $36/15mL.

$6.8 Vs. $ 60, The Ordinary Vs. NIOD, My Answer Is... 🤫🤫
$6.8 Vs. $ 60, The Ordinary Vs. NIOD, My Answer Is... 🤫🤫
NIOD and The Ordinary are both skincare lines of Deciem in Canada, but the price of NIOD($60) is ten times higher than that of The Ordinary($6.80). Today I'll be talking about Bio-Sodium Hyaluronate, which is also known as hyaluronic acid. And btw, I have combo skin.  I prefer the NIOD - Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Complex as it has a better price, texture, and effect compared withThe Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5. It has a more watery texture and it's not sticky at all. It is also scent-free. • Ingredients/Effects: After applying it onto the skin, the molecules of hyaluronic acid become more stable, enabling it to stay longer in our body. Apart from the immediate moisturizing effect, it also allows the molecules to reach the bottom of the muscles to promote and maintain the synthesis of natural hyaluronic acid, achieving a long-lasting effect. The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5: It has a moisturizing, sticky, gel-like, liquid texture that is scent-free. • Ingredients/Effects: It has higher requirements on the external environment compared with NIOD. This means that, if the climate is dry, your skin will also feel dry when it's applied, but if the climate is humid, your skin will feel moisturized when it's applied To sum up, if you have enough of a budget and you need a long-lasting, pure hyaluronic acid serum, choose NIOD. If you're in a humid climate and you need a basic moisturizing serum, choose The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid. Have you used any of these? Let me know😘
