A routine that FINALLY works for me!
Since the beginning of quarantine, I’ve gotten WAY into skincare, maybe a little too much... I’ve definitely experienced ups and downs with my routine, low bank balances, and the overall stress of trying to balance the millions of options and recommendations given for serums, cleansers, toners, ETC.
Through many trial and errors, I think I finally found my true routine, thanks to Sokoglam, a K-Beauty skincare company. They offer a free “skin concierge” session in real time with a skincare specialist, where you can ask about your skin concerns and receive great recommendations for products, and overall a personalized skincare routine that fits YOU! That all sounds cheesy and sponsored but I promise it’s not😂 That’s just how impressed I am with the company!
For so long I just watched youtubers suggest products to me and I scrolled endlessly on Cherie looking for products that I thought would suit me. A biiiig brand I saw/and was recommended CONSTANTY was The Ordinary serums... Long story short, tried it, hated it. Plain and simple. The few serums I used from them caused nothing but turmoil for my skin that I’m still trying to fix including breakouts, CYSTIC acne, chemical burns, etc.. I am pretty sure there was just something my sensitive skin was allergic to in order for all of that to have happened, but still, simply just not for me. To be fair, if it weren’t for those products, I would have never gone out of my way to seek a new routine, sooooo? Thanks I guess lol.
Anyways, here is my road to recovery! I have been documenting my skin’s journey and I can already see such dramatic effects in texture, hydration, reduction of oiliness AND the beginnings of healing for my more intense acne that left scars!
I won’t go into detail on each product quiet yet, as it is still a new routine taking its course, however, I think the biggest component to the already huge changes has to definitely be the Hanskin - Pore Cleansing Oil PHA !!!!
As a combo/oily skin type who rarely wears makeup, I NEVER would have thought I’d need this product because like... More oil??! But I was sooooo mislead!!! My pores have never been cleaner/smaller after using this, because after all, oil gets rid of oil! For so long I was always so frustrated with how bad of a job my water based cleansers were doing, never truly cleaning my horribly clogged pores! I guess I just forgot basic chemistry knowledge that water alone cannot get rid of oil! Plain and simple! I’m sure most people know that, but I guess my quarantine brain didn’t make that connection, but also when it comes to skincare, I guess I never truly thought of those things in the past!
I will keep updating my journey as I go, but enjoy for now!

Late October Haul 🎃
This month I decided to treat myself to a little haul! The above products were purchased from Sephora and Amazon. Some of these products I’ve had my eye on for months, while others I compulsively bought! On the second slide are all of the sample products that were kindly supplied by Sephora 🙂
Sephora:
PAT McGRATH LABS - Eye Ecstasy Duo: I bough these pallets out of compulsion. I only own one pallet which is the URBAN DECAY - Naked Ultimate Basics Eyeshadow Palette. I really want to start incorporating makeup into my feed, so I went on the hunt for a new pallet. I was able to get both of these pallets for $14 each instead of $28 each. That’s a steal for me! I cannot wait to dip into the Sublime pallet!
DRUNK ELEPHANT - E-Rase Milki Micellar Water: Getting back into makeup I knew I needed a makeup remover. Just about everyone I know uses Micellar Water no matter what brand. I decided to go with the Drunk Elephant because I have seen so many product reviews with mixed emotions, so I wanted to try this brand out for myself!
Kate Somerville - EradiKate Acne Treatment: This is another product I’ve had my eye on for months! I have seen many reviews of this product and so far everyone has loved it. I can’t wait to give this product a shot tonight after a much needed shower! Review for this product to come very soon!

Dr Dennis Gross - Dr Dennis Gross Extra Strength Alpha Beta Peel Original
belif - The True Cream Aqua Bomb
IGK - First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo
KVD VEGAN BEAUTY - Tatoo Liner in Trooper Deluxe Sample
laura mercier - Flawless Lumière Radiance-Perfecting Foundation
Milk MAKEUP - Hydro Grip Primer
CAUDALIE - Vinopure Skin Perfecting Serum
GUCCI - Free Bloom Eau de Parfum Deluxe Sample
Amazon:
StriVectin - Daily Reveal Exfoliating Pads: I saw that StriVectin just recent came out with these. I was quick to purchase these because I have been looking for a product that I can carry with me at all times and quickly use during the day when my face is super oily while I’m out and about! I was originally using the OXY - Acne Medication Deep Pore Cleansing Pads, but the ingredients aren’t great for the skin at all! So I am super hyped to find a much more healthier alternative!
Rael - Miracle Ratch: I originally found these on Instagram. I have been on the market for acne patches for sometime. My local target didn’t have any in stock, so I took to the internet. When I found these I looked up reviews, and every single one was positive. I cannot wait to try these!

-Help! Acne problems-
This really isn’t a post to show off some products and more of a call for help! I’ve struggled with my skin for about 3 years.. being a young 14 year old I have very bad skin and nothing I try seems to work, I get breakouts all the time, redness, black heads, white heads, you name it I’ve had it.. and i need help on figuring out how to take care of my skin! I want the skin I had before I hit puberty :(

Empty and Newbie - Pimple Patch Comparison
I love the hydracolloidal bandages from Mighty Patch HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewell . You just stick them on an active break out or white head and they almost disappear overnight. In fact, I’ve gone through several boxes over the past few months.. They’re not as affordable as some drugstore brands like Cosrx but they suck out more gunk. They’re a thicker bandage and I even got them in the larger size. They’re definitely meant for nighttime wear. You can really see the results.
I was about to repurchase them again but I saw these Rael patches Rael - Miracle Ratch also have excellent reviews and I bought— I kid you not— a pack of 96 (!!!) for $16. I’ve used them and I think they are actually better than mighty patch. They’re much thinner and I couldn’t even see it after I put it on my skin. It totally disappeared. I think I may be a convert because I could definitely wear these to work and feel comfortable that no one would see them. They also seem to have an equal strength of gunk-sucking — gross, but wonderful. I recommend both.
Swipe for comparison.

rael microneedle acne healing patches
key ingredients:
tea tree oil/totarol - tea tree oil is a natural antiseptic with antibacterial and anti inflammatory properties that both soothe and heal skin. totara bark extract, nature’s super antioxidant, is 3 times as strong as vitamin e at fading scars effectively quickly.
salicylic acid - salicylic acid is proven to be an effective skin care ingredient because of the way it penetrates into the skin and dissolves any debris inside your pores. it’s also naturally derived from willow bark which is known to heal and soothe skin. this acid can also help with any inflammation and redness of a blemish.
hyaluronic acid - hyaluronic acid keeps damaged skin moisturized and helps prevent any over-drying (over-drying is bad for blemishes and can actually make them worse because of the irritation it causes) or scaling while the skin heals.
what it claims to do: this product claims to reduce any inflammation and redness with microneedle technology. these patches are designed with tiny microneedles that prick the skin (don’t worry it doesn’t hurt at all!), allowing the active ingredients to dive deeper into the skin. this product is recommended for any below the skin pimples that don’t have a head.
my experience: i had an under the skin pimple that i was bugging me, so i decided to buy these patches and use them on it. i had high hopes for this product but sadly i was disappointed by the fact that i’ve used up about 5-6 patches (the patches were from a different packet, not the ones in the 2nd slide) and i woke up each time to find that my blemish was the same. i did notice that the patches did seem to reduce the redness, not by much though. it also left a clear, slimy residue where i left the patch on, but i think that’s because the needles melted. however, despite the fact that these patches didn’t work for me, i’ve seen and read many positive reviews that these actually worked for them and overnight as well! they’ve also claimed that the size and redness was reduced by at least 70%. if you are wondering whether you should purchase these or not, i would say yes. even though they didn’t work on me, it’s important to keep in mind that everybody’s skin is different and that these might work wonders for you!
