Basic DIY Wedding Nails! ✨
I just got married this past week so I thought I would show you guys how I did my nails myself at home. This was surprisingly simple and easy! I chose to go with a basic neutral rose color and my natural nails, which were shaped oval. I don’t have any “nail tech” equipment at home and TBH I am not leaving my house to get a manicure right now LOL, so this was my only option. My nails are natural and pretty brittle, so I have to choose the products I use carefully to protect the health of my nails. I started off with my favorite base coat: the long lasting base from Holo Taco HOLO TACO - Long-Lasting Base this brand has just been so GOOD for my nails. I knew this one would keep my polish on all day so I didn’t have to worry about chipping or lifting. It takes about 10-15 minutes to dry but I don’t mind at all! It’s worth every penny to me at $11. Then I painted 2 coats of Cirque Colors “Rose Kaolin” creme polish cirque colors - cirque colors Cream Polishes . I love Cirque since they are made in the USA and made small-batch, 10-free! The coats dry relatively quickly, about 15-20 mins between coats. At $12 I recommend their polishes! Then I had a crazy thought—I NEED stones on my accent nails. But where do I find them? In my room of course. I found an old piece of cheap jewelry with clear white stones in it so I took a safety pin to it and removed a few stones to glue onto my nails. I used super glue and tweezers to place them and made sure to wait until the coat of creme polish was 10000% dry beforehand. I think they turned out pretty great for DIY! For my top coat I went with my HOLY GRAIL HOLO TACO - Super Glossy Taco which is only 3-free, but it dries in 5-10 minutes and does not budge. At ALL! No scratches, indents, nothing. I knew I could count on this on top of the stones to seal everything in. SGT is $11 and worth every penny if you have brittle nails like me! What do you think of my DIY wedding nails?! 😂 #CheriePartner

Easy Nude matching mani/pedi ⭐️
Nothing calms me more nowadays than to do my nails. I love going for off-the-wall mail looks but sometimes a good nude pink neutral matches with everything and makes life a little easier. I prefer a square shape for my toenails, and an almond-squoval shape for my fingers! Here’s how I achieved my mani/pedi and my tips: Use a base coat. Base coats extend the life of your nail polish and help prevent chipping...so, you know, you aren’t spending 3 hours painting your nails just for them to immediately chip! Use THIN COATS of nail polish. By applying your nail polish in thin coats, you’re allowing it to not only dry quicker—you have more control of the nail polish itself and you can better prevent mistakes and spilling. Today I’m using the AMAZING shade Rose Kaolin by Cirque Colors. cirque colors - cirque colors Cream Polishes Cirque’s creme polishes are very pigmented and 2 thin coats works perfectly. Each coat takes about 15 minutes to dry so you’re not waiting too long to complete your nail look. The brushes are thin enough to get the sides of your nail without making a mess, too! I love supporting indie brands, so I highly recommend Cirque. Not only do they source unique pigments that many larger nail polish brands can’t get a hold of in mass quantities, they freaking HAND MIX THE NAIL POLISH in small batches. Their polishes are 10-free meaning they are free of: toluene, DBP (dibutyl phthalate), formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor, xylene, ethyl tosylamide, phthalates, parabens and fragrances. Are you kidding me!! Also, even though they’re an indie brand, they keep their prices competitive at ~$13 per bottle (depending on the finish of the nail polish). You can buy Cirque Colors nail polish on Cirque’s website (cirquecolors.com) or at Urban Outfitters! Paint your toes first. Painting your toes with wet fingernails is NOT fun, and you risk messing up your masterpiece! Be careful once your nails are painted! Of course we all want our nail polish to withstand anything, but it’s not realistic. Try to resist picking, opening cans, or anything intricate with your nails so that you don’t chip your polish or risk breaking your nails. Top coats are key. NEVER skip your top coat. It DOES make a difference!! Do you like to match your fingernails and toenails? What are your tips to have your polish last longer? #CheriePartner

MATCHING MY NAIL ART TO MY JEWELLERY
I had a bit of fun with this nail art because I was able to match it to my rose gold jewellery and recreate a design that I was inspired by on Pinterest. At this point, these are my natural nails that I had grown out to a squoval/square shape. I don’t think I’ll ever grow my nails this long again, but I really enjoyed having this length and shape while it lasted. I chose to match to rose gold as that’s the colour of my engagement ring - I think it’s a really unique metal colour and just flatters me so well! When I saw the original nail art photo, I knew I wanted to recreate it with rose gold to match my ring. After painting the pink on my nails, I gently sponged a bit of the rose gold over to create the same effect as my inspiration photo. I think it worked out really well! Then, using a striping brush I carefully drew the stars over the gold. I love this kind of ‘sketching’ look for nail art and was so happy it turned out well. What do you think? Does the rosegold match my ring and did I do a good job recreating this nail art? This polish is so beautiful and unique
cirque colors - cirque colors Shimmer Polishes 🌙✨ This polish is so beautiful and unique. Cirque captured the look of moonstones so well with that icy blue shimmer, and the base can look white or light pink in different lighting.

Baby blues 🦋
I’ve had a very bad coupe of days, my mental health has just been the worst it’s been in a while so I turned to makeup therapy to cheer myself up, but ended translating my feelings to my eyeshadow 😛 On one of my other makeup looks I mentioned loving one of the Colourpop tie-dye palettes, the truth is I love them all! Such a beautiful pastel collection. For this look I used the COLOURPOP - In a Trance Shadow Palette and the two light blue shades pictured! I also used my beloved e.l.f. - Putty Eye Primer in white to intensify the colors, and also to keep the shadows on my hooded eyes. You guys already know I have very hooded eyes and eyeshadow just tend to get everywhere if I don’t use a good eye primer. I also used the eye brushes from the e.l.f. - e.l.f. xo Nabela Noor Beautifully You Brush Set these brushes are so soft! Elf’s been really killing the game for me lately ⭐️ I felt playful so I also used these cirque colors - Belated Birthday Charms that are meant to be used on nails but I thought it would look so cute to add a little charm to my eyes, I used lash glue to glue them on and I think it’s such a cute, playful look! Also used my favorite mascara at the moment, this #Prosa - Mascara 4 en 1 con Micro Fibras[products]#[FiveStars] is from a Mexican cosmetic brand and it’s so so good! If you haven’t tried Mexican mascaras you’re missing out. If you know what I’m talking about then you’re probably familiar with the By Apple mascara, their Pink & Green mascara is very popular. The Prosa mascara is similar but the brush is much better in my opinion, and this one has micro fibers in it that add so much volume and it holds a curl like no other 🙌 highly recommend! I love doing single eyeshadow eye looks, just applying one or two similar tones to the eye and blending upwards and outwards to diffuse the color, it’s super easy but looks so good in my opinion! I think it’s perfect if you want to play with color but don’t really know what to do, just throw on your favorite color, add a little blush and leave your lips natural and boom, a whole LEWK 💅🏼💗✨ #CheriePartner

Which 💿HOLO💿 Top Coat is better?
Hi friends, it’s been a long nail journey for me, from biting my nails excessively for 20+ years due to anxiety to now—looking for good polishes to help me grow out my brittle nails. Please do not make unwarranted suggestions for brittle nails—I use a cuticle oil, take biotin, and take care of my nail beds. I just have genetically weak nails. SO, which holographic top coat is better for my brittle nails? Let’s look at the contenders: Holo Taco: HOLO TACO - Flakie Holographic Nail Polish Cirque Colors: cirque colors - cirque colors Glitter Polish “Delirium” MANUFACTURING: HT: large batch made in USA C: small batch made is USA FREE OF TOXINS, ORGANIC, VEGAN? HT: 5-free C: 10-free PRICE + SIZE: HT: $13 for .4oz C: $14 for .37oz SMELL: HT: Very harsh nail polish smell C: Less abrasive smell PERFORMANCE: HT: dries quickly (15 minutes), no bumps when using another top coat over it (needs 1 coat for no bumps) C: dries in 25-35 minutes, some bumps when using another top coat over it (needs 2-3 coats for no bumps) FOR BRITTLE NAILS: HT: The Holo Taco formula is THICK. Like thiccccc girl. It’s the perfect coating for my brittle nails and my nails do not bend when I use this formula. It’s also super long lasting and chip resistant. C: Unlike the Holo Taco formula, my nails are still bendy/able to be bent after using this polish. I will assume that this is because it is free of more chemicals but I much prefer the holo taco formula over this one for my brittle nails. This one also chips easier. WHERE TO BUY: HT: HoloTaco.com C: CirqueColors.com and Urban Outfitters RATING: HT: 4/5 because it contains more chemicals. C: 4/5 because I have to use multiple top coats over this to gets a smooth finish, plus it does not help my brittle nail situation. I also appreciate that this is a smaller company/indie brand. You can see in my photos I’ve swatched them side by side so you can see the difference. Which do you prefer look-wise? #CheriePartner
