What am I missing? Blackhead/large pores
PM Routine TULA SKINCARE - Kefir Replenishing Cleansing Oil This cleansing oil works really good to melt all the makeup off your face, I love it so far! TULA SKINCARE - The Cult Classic Purifying Face Cleanser This has been my favorite so far. Very gentle. Little to no scent. My face feels very clean after using it. TULA SKINCARE - Deep Exfoliating Blackhead Scrub I use this no more then 2 times a week bc it is fairly harsh. I do see a difference in the morning after using it. I’ve only been using for about a month now so I’m not 100% sold on it. I haven’t seen “long term” results from it just yet. The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution touch in SOL - No Poreblem Prime Essence Not pictured but recently started using it this past week. It’s only been a week but I do see a slight difference in my pores. Time will tell! FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum Love this so far. When I wake up my face is glowing GLAMGLOW - MOISTURETRIP Omega-Rich Face Moisturizer This is a favorite. It’s extremely moisturizing! Even though this works very well I do plan on changing to the farmacys oil free moisturizer since I have oily skin. AM Routine The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution I don’t cleanse in the morning bc it’s very drying to my skin. I use some toner to “clean my skin” however someone recommended Sephora’s glow pads which i was thinking about switching to for AM. CLEAN SKIN CLUB - Vitamin C Brightening Booster I haven’t used many vitamin C’s but I do have to say this has by far been my favorite. It’s very moisturing and not to oily. KYPRIS - ANTIOXIDANT DEW Every now and then to switch it up I’ll use this instead of the vitamin C listed above. It works well just a little bit watery. GLAMGLOW - MOISTURETRIP Omega-Rich Face Moisturizer Ending with my moisturizer Since starting my skincare routine my face has cleared up a ton and has more of a glow then ever before. I didn’t have bad acne but I had at least a few “zits/bumps” on my face at a time. Now I rarely have 1-2 which I’m thankful for. BUT it has NOT helped with clearing out my blackheads and minimizing my pores in my T zone. What am I missing? What should I take out or add in? Someone recommended the ordinary’s chemical peel and niacinamide 10%+ zinc 1%. Is this what I need to step up my skincare routine? Please help!

My skincare routine for clogged pores
Growing up I’ve struggled a lot with my skin. Even when I finally stopped getting pimples I struggled with clogged pores which I was worse because every time I used makeup it was very visible. I kept using a LOT of skincare products hoping something would help but it just made things worse. SO I completely got rid of everything I was using and just started with Kiehl’s Kiehl's - Midnight Recovery Concentrate Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Cream Kiehl's - Calendula Deep Clean Foaming Face Wash and Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Mask which completely changed my skin for the better. I really struggled to find a moisturizer that didn’t give me clogged pores and this one really made a dramatic difference to my skin. I also use the KYPRIS - ANTIOXIDANT DEW as my serum sometimes and it leave my skin really soft and glowing. Now I started adding the ordinary skincare products to my routine and it’s been helping my skin a lot. I use the The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% for my pores and I also lovee The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 and use it everyday to keep my skin healthy looking. Sometimes I use The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution or The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution I don’t use it too often (twice a week) because these products a little too strong for me. I also started adding The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA to my skincare routine to help with my pigmentations. I use The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG sometimes under my eyes but I didn’t see any difference. And since I have darker skin tone most sunscreen leave a very bad white cast on my skin and I’ve been loving PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ it feels like a moisturizer and the ingredients are really good!! Hope this helps anyone that’s struggling with clogged pores like me.

Detoxifying Mask Off: Caudalie vs. Kypris
Sometimes, all you need is a good detoxifying mask. With my acne-prone skin, I’ve found that treating myself to a detoxifying mask at least once every 2 weeks really makes a difference in my skin’s overall tone, texture and clarity. Two of my favorite refining masks that get deep down into my pores when they’re clogged and draw out all of those acne-causing impurities are Caudalie’s Instant Detox Mask and Kypris Beauty’s Glow Philtre. They both make excellent additions to my nighttime skincare routine and do not irritate my sensitive, reactive skin. The good stuff: Caudalie’s Instant Detox Mask: This is your typical clay mask and acts like a vacuum to draw out excess oil and toxins and combat congestion. I ~may or may not~ have bought this mask after I saw Kourtney Kardashian uses it, but it’s also affordable ($39) and made with quality ingredients. Grape marc powerfully detoxifies, while pink clay and coffee absorb blackhead-causing dirt and excess sebum. Together with papaya enzymes, the mask fights off bacteria, reduces breakouts from forming and brightens the skin. While I love the mask for its detoxifying properties, one thing I will say is that this mask can be a little drying. While it’s doing its thing, it gets really stiff and uncomfortable but doesn’t feel stripped which is good. Kypris Beauty’s Glow Philtre: I recently discovered this brand after sampling their Clarifying Serum and loooooove it so much. The Glow Philtre contains a refining blend of pomegranate pith enzymes, thalassic extracts of sea fennel stem cells and sea algae to detoxify, brighten and soften the skin. It also silver ear mushroom, which delivers a hydrating boost to the skin. Its texture is unlike anything I’ve ever tried before – it’s almost gel-like but not quite. This really makes a difference in the smoothness of my skin and I’ve noticed that it clears the little whitehead pimples that I get from wearing my makeup/throughout the day right away.

AMAZING GLOW with Antioxidants
AMAZING GLOW with Antioxidants
This beaut from @kyprisbeauty KYPRIS - ANTIOXIDANT DEW has taken a place in my favorites recently. My skin has been experiencing a lot of dehydration and uneven tones recently. I was happy with @drunkelephant C firma Vitamin C serum but when I started using this Antioxidant Dew Quench and glow serum, it changed the game for me. I liked it so much as it made my skin sure soft, supple and glowing. It has lightweight milky texture. And it provides ample hydration hence no need to use a heavy moisturizer on top. Antioxidant Dew lavishes skin with quenching encapsulated antioxidants, nurturing amino acids, and an array of soothing botanicals. Use as a lightweight hydrator or as a layering piece in your skin care wardrobe. Featured ingredients: Antioxidants Galore Phospholipid encapsulated Vitamins C & E and Superoxide Dismutase with Ferulic Acid and herb-derived antioxidants. * Sea Algae Extracts studied for their impressive ability to hydrate. * Waltheria indica A botanical gem from the Mallow family known to soothe skin's appearance. * DPHP - Dipalmitoyl Hydroxyproline is a botanically derived amino acid that smoothes skin's appearance to enhance luminosity.

Coal is Better Than Kypris’s Antioxidant Dew
Coal is Better Than Kypris’s Antioxidant Dew
- I’d rather get coal than Kypris’s Antioxidant Dew Quench & Glow Facial Serum. The Antioxidant Dew is designed to help the skin develop a hydrated glow through a punch of antioxidants. Though it didn’t work for me, the texture was a very nice thin milky serum. - I received this in my BoxyCharm subscription and was so excited about this product. I’m not familiar with Kypris, but a quick Google search showed the brand to be sold at high end department stores. I tried this for a few nights and it broke my skin out with pimples. I would imagine this works for some people, even my sister loves using it. Though it’s not for me, the product is really easy to integrate into a routine by applying a few drops before moisturizer. The product retails for $90, but I received it in my BoxyCharm so $25 paid for this and four additional makeup/skincare items. I would not recommend this product for people with combination or oily skin, since it broke me out in my oilier areas. I could see this being a great option for people with skin on the dry side.
