Beauty Sleep indeed!
I have no idea how to tell if the collagen in this is helping my skin but I definitely feel better rested when I take this.
I wake up every morning at 5am to prepare breakfast for the hubby before seeing him off to work. I used to go back to bed and sleep for 2 more hours after he leaves; but now I go straight to work, too.
Before, I would have a difficult time getting up and would usually need to snooze my alarm at least once. It would take me 30-45 mins before I would actually feel awake, even after coffee.
The first time I took it, I felt “awake” the instant I opened my eyes the following morning. I went through my morning routine with ease, not dragging myself, not struggling to keep my eyes open. Because of that, I asked the hubby to take them as well. We very rarely get 8 hrs of sleep, on the average we get 4-5 hrs.
The recommendation is to take 2-3 of the pills before bed. I only take 2, the hubby takes 3.
The Naturopathica supplements I’m taking have been very effective so far so I imagine the collagen in this is working its magic too even when I don’t know how to tell.
Would you try it?

Acne in my 30’s: What helped
As promised, here’s an update/review on the 2 supplements I have been taking for my acne.
naturopathica your path to good health - GastroHealth Women's Probiotic
NATUROPATHICA - Clear Skin Active Acne Symptom Relief
I am convinced they have helped.
I was worried I would confuse the results of the supplements with my skincare routine as I have just started a routine a couple of weeks ago... But after missing 5 days of skincare (we were at the beach for 3 days and I’ve been busy aka lazy), I still haven’t broken out as bad as before.
Even as I’m on my period but without the usual breakout, I think it’s safe to assume that the supplements are to thank for that.
As of writing this update, I have only had 2 cystic pimples(?) pustules(?) on my jawline and 4 other teeny tiny ones (2 on my temple and 2 on my lower cheek) since my first post last October 8. My period came on October 12 and I am on day 4 of my period (almost over). The fact that I’m able to count them is already an improvement. ALSO, none if them were inflamed and they all went away in a day or two. That’s definitely a win!!
My skin is still far from what I want them to be but I am pleased at how it has improved even without the help of a proper skincare routine.
I think they are very safe, but I’m not a doctor so please ask your doctor and do your research as well.
If you’re in Australia, they’re usually on special (50% off) every so often at the Chemist Warehouse. That’s when I stock up. The Womens Health Probiotics is usually AU$28 for a bottle of 30 capsules. The Clear Skin Active is usually AU$27 per bottle of 30 capsules which you take twice a day.
Changed my rating from 4 stars to 5 because come to think of it, it’s not THAT expensive.😅 Especially if you know you can get it for cheaper... Just take advantage when it goes on sale!😉
Disclaimer:
I AM NOT BEING PAID BY NATUROPATHICA IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER. I wish they would, though.😂
I have another Naturopathica supplement I started using because I loved the first two. It’s their NATUROPATHICA - Collagenix Beauty Sleep
Will write more about that one soon.
Love and light,

Acne in my 30’s
I think I started getting acne on my jawline when I turned 30 (currently 34)... Not 100% sure I remember accurately but it’s safe to say I’ve had this problem over a few years.
On really bad days, I will get them on my cheeks and on my temples. They would just pop up, two or three new pimples every other day. They would leave me alone for a few days when I’m lucky, but they would get back on their cycle of riddling my face sooner that I would like.
It is so frustrating and embarrassing to have “teenage” acne in my 30’s.
I’m not the type to wear makeup. I only do when I have a party to go to which is once every 2-3 months? And I only wear concealer, bb cream and lipstick. That’s it. This year, I’ve only worn foundation once and that’s because my bb cream wasn’t covering my pimples (not that they ever really do but I was feeling extra ugly then).
I didn’t have a skincare routine (I’m in the process of building a routine now, might write about it on another post) but I did try a lot of things.
I tried scrubs, spot treatments, pore strips, clay masks, cleansing balm, cleansing oil, micellar water; for oily skin, for combination skin, for sensitive skin; nothing worked.
I knew acne on the jawline was hormonal acne so I wasn’t surprised that those ones didn’t go away with anything I tried on my skin (not that anything worked in the other parts of my face) but I figured I should find a remedy from within.
After reading a lot about hormonal acne on Pinterest, I decided to look for a probiotics supplement. After some product research, I decided on Naturopathica Gastro Health Probiotic Women’s Health. It didn’t banish my hormonal acne, to my disappointment, but I felt like it helped. I was not sure that it did but I felt better in the gut so I kept using it anyway.
And then I discovered Clear Skin Active by the same brand Naturopathica and the words Acne Symptom Relief quickly persuaded me to give it a try.
After 3 months of taking the Probiotics and a month of taking Clear Skin Active, I feel like my jawline acne improved.
For the first time in years, they seem to be flattening. I still feel a few bumps but none of them hurt so I think that means there are no new, fresh ones.
I’m about to get my period in a week though so if they return, I won’t be surprised; but if they disappear quickly or don’t appear at all (fingers crossed!) then I think I found myself a treatment!
Will update.
Love and light,
Rose

4 out of 5 stars only because they’re a little bit pricey.

naturopathica manuka honey cleansing balm
the product: naturopathica manuka honey cleansing balm [not listed]
the rating: 5/5, effective and smells good
the ingredients: manuka honey, A natural antibac!
the review: are use this product for my face wash in the shower every night! It only takes a little bit to get it over your face, and it is very effective at removing make up. It rinses off easily in the shower and takes my work Christmas dinner away. The antibacterial properties of Manuka honey are very good for keeping your face clean and your pores clear.
the price: $62, thank goodness mine was a travel size I got in a kit. it’s really nice, hence the price tag

My Favorite Morning Routine
In the mornings when my face is feeling puffy, I love to throw on a sheet mask and jade roll. It hydrates and brings the moisture back into my skin while also soothing it at the same time. It’s such a good prep for makeup! The combo helps my foundation go on super smoothly.
