How to Treat Bug Bites with Skincare!
You know that friend who gets a million bug bites after being outside for just half an hour? I’m that friend. After so many years of dealing with itching and swelling, I’ve finally figured out how to use my skincare products to relieve the worst parts of bug bites. Apply diluted tea tree oil to reduce itching and swelling. This is the only time I would ever recommend using an essential oil as a skincare product, and only when it’s done properly. Tea tree oil has powerful anti-bacterial, anti-itching, and anti-swelling properties, which makes it a great treatment for bug bites. I got this bottle of tea tree oil at TJMaxx, but you can find tea tree oil at grocery stores like Whole Foods or by browsing on Amazon. Essential oils can really irritate your skin and make your bug bites even worse, so you need to be careful! To safely use tea tree oil on your bug bites, mix it into a carrier oil. I prefer jojoba oil or rosehip oil, but there are many options to choose from based on your skin type. To make a treatment oil that’s safe to use on your face, I recommend a 2.5% dilution, which is about 15 drops of tea tree oil for 6 teaspoons of carrier oil. You can also make a tea tree toner using 2 to 3 drops of tea tree oil and 2 to 3 drops of carrier oil per 2 tablespoons of water. A toner is especially helpful for applying to larger areas like your arms or legs. I prefer using a toner because it feels lighter and it’s easier to reapply, and I mix my toner into a travel-size spray bottle for convenience! Use pimple patches or hydrocolloid patches. You’ve probably seen how people use pimple patches to treat their bug bites. If your bug bites really swell (like mine sometimes do), I would recommend getting a pack of hydrocolloid bandages, like the CVS pharmacy - Advanced Healing Hydrocolloid Bandages . They’re much cheaper than pimple patches and can be cut to fit whatever size bug bite you want to treat. One time I had a huge bug bite on my eyebrow, so I used a hydrocolloid bandage overnight and it shrunk down to almost nothing! How do you deal with bug bites? Have you tried either of these methods?

$4 dupe for acne patches 💫💫💫
Okay here is a dupe that I am super excited for!! I am obsessed with acne patches lately, but I have been using ones that are pretty expensive. I like to use them on my face, but also on my legs when I have scabs from picking at ingrown hairs (it allows them to heal and keeps me from picking more!). I saw a dupe on TikTok where girls were using hydrocolloid bandaids and cutting them up to form “acne patches”. You can buy these bandaids from any drugstore, and I buy store brand to make them even cheaper (I got a box of 10 bandaids for under $5). After cutting them up, each bandaid can make 8-10 patches! These band-aids are supposed to support an optimal “healing environment” by creating a seal. These stay on for days at a time if I want them to, and actually work amazingly on my blemishes. I would definitely recommend making the switch to these instead of expensive pimple patches!

NEW PRODUCTS = NEW ROUTINE
Hey Girl, Hey! 🧚🏼 So I said that I would updated you guys once all my products that I ordered from Ulta came in so here i am!! I started a new skin routine today and these are the products that I used in order! The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser Starting with the squalane cleanser, I used this one because I knew that I was about to do the peeling solution and i did not want to over work my skin before i did that process for the first time! I love the consistency of the cleanser as I have used oil cleansers before. It left my skin feeling very clean and moisturized. It is supposed to work really well with getting make up off but I haven’t tried that just yet. *I’ll keep y’all posted* The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution For the Peeling Solution, because it was my first time I was very cautious about using it and did a lot of research about it. I previously posted about my thoughts on this product and first impressions so if you want more information on this specifically, check it out! I will be using this again CVS pharmacy - Clear Zinc Sun Lotion SPF 50 So I got this sunscreen because I realized I needed to add one into my routine and this seemed like the perfect one due to it being a clear zinc SPF 50. It doesn’t leave a white cast and is very thick but rubs in really good. I do like the way it makes my skin feel because it doesn’t cause any unnecessary oils and goes on evenly. The Ordinary - Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% This Vitamin C Solution wasn’t my favorite. It had a really gritty texture that eventually smoothed out once I applied other moisturizers but the texture of it was a little off putting for me. I’ll use it for like 2 weeks to see if I see any dramatic changes but as of now it’s just okay to me. I feel it may have been a little too hard for me to be using right after a peel so maybe I’ll just skip this step when I use the Peeling Solution. Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer I AM LOVINNNNNGGGGGGG THISSSSSS!!!! OMG! ❤️❤️❤️ From the smell, to the Gel consistency and the smoothing of my skin after I use it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! It is perfect for dry skin while being light weight and not oily at all! I got mine from CVS and used a coupon to get it for $7 (Usually $23) You don’t need to use a lot so it will definitely last. I’ve been using it day and night for a few days and I will definitely be buying more. ✨‼️ The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane This i feel like added that extra moister i need after doing the peel. Didn’t see much of a difference but i will be using it in my routine because i liked the consistency. Lastly, I used my probiotic facial pray that I got from amazon! I swear by this spray. It gets rid of acne and definitely gives a refreshing feel. If you have any questions or suggestions hmu 😘💖‼️

Cucumber peel

At my last run to CVS, I ran into this cucumber peel mask and decide why not ? I mean it’s just $2.19. I wanted to have a nice refreshing peel and well nothing more natural than a cucumber. This is easy to put on and dries pretty quick. The 1st photo is when I put is on ( I can barely move my face but I tried to smile lol!). My skin did feel cool and nice when I put it on but quite honestly not that much of a difference after peeling. I guess you could use this as a treatment before you use another mask to just kind of get a good cleaning? But if you skip this you wouldn’t be missing much. I would recommend using a diy cucumber mask than this. Overall it was an average peel CVS pharmacy - Cucumber Cooling Peel-Off Facial Mask

You’ll NEVER Buy Pimple Patches Again!
You’ll NEVER Buy Pimple Patches Again!
CVS pharmacy - Advanced Healing Hydrocolloid Bandages I have definitely spent the $30 on pimple patches in a time of desperation. Then one day I saw these little patches at CVS! They were about $5 for the exact same product just in a different shape then the normal pimple patches! With hydrocolloid as the main ingredient these help to extract any excess fluids (pus or any leftover gunk) from your pimples. What they help me the most with is not touching my face! I have definitely noticed a difference in how quickly my pimples heal after using these patches. You can use them as is or cut them in half to get more bang for your already-cheaper buck. ✌️

No amount of your most expensive body lotion is going to be better than this. I have tried so many body lotions for my dry as hell legs and nothing has been able to replace this. If sensitivity and EXTREME dryness are an actual problem for you, this hasn’t failed me. It will keep even my eczema from looking really ugly. It’s really thick and not as runny so you end up using a lot. It doesn’t feel greasy when it dries but it does feel a little sticky for a while. It will take away the itch and it has a soft smell but it’s really good.
