New Season, New Makeup faves!
And a new haircut?! Omg, my first quarantine haircut and it’s been making me feel refreshed and reset for the fall season. ✨Want to know what else I’m loving about fall besides the sweaters and leaves changing color? Heated colors and eyeshadow palettes are back in style. I’ve discovered some new makeup that I’m excited can be added to my holy grail counter. Check it out! ✨Started my base off with Supergoop! - Zincscreen 100% Mineral Lotion SPF 40 PA+++ which is easy to reapply throughout the day while keeping the rest your makeup easy to touch up along with it without any weird pilling/ other layering issues whatsoever. ✨My eyebrows are already pretty thick, so no need to color in sparse areas. I grabbed Glossier. - Boy Brow in translucent and it keeps my brows with nice volume, lift where I want and hold all day. Love this! Glossier. - Cloud Paint Duo in Dusk and Beam were mixed together for a natural-looking, sunkissed flush. I also used excess product from Beam onto my eyelids and there’s been no creasing! This product works well with your fingers or with a foundation brush that has a thick surface area with lots of fibers closely wound together. It spreads so nicely either way- a little goes a long way! ✨I used CLINIQUE - High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara and while my lashes lengthen and become wonderfully defined, I wish the price point were a tad lower. Looking into something less expensive with the same results! ✨I’ve been so tired lately! New schedule and longer work hours. To brighten my eyes, I’ve gotten SEPHORA COLLECTION - 12hr Colorful Contour Eyeliner in their pearlescent off-white color, and I apppied that baby along the inside of my bottom lash line. Makes such a big difference making my eyes look bigger and brighter! On my lips, I’ve got MINERAL FUSION - Sheer Moisture Lip Tint on in Glisten- this lovely neutral peach that totally matches Glossier’s Beam for this nice monochromatic look. My lips feel so hydrated and look plump and healthy! While it does transfer, not a big deal to me at all- it’s a more eco-friendly company that can pack some great ingredients into their products. ✨Lastly, added this beautiful metallic, burnt umber eyeshadow, MEECH N MIA - MEECH N MIA Loose Eyeshadows in Copper, which can be applied SO easily in so many ways! Long-lasting shimmer that looks amazing with so many matte eyeshadow layers underneath. With it being loose, highly encourage finishing spray though! Otherwise, it’s the perfect loose metallic pot shadow. What looks have you been trying out for fall? Let me know in the comments ✨🙌🏼

Tower 28 glossy CHEEK balm + Mineral Foundation
Hi there! I have sensitive skin thus I am careful about what I put on it but like, I still like to look good 😆 I wanted a foundation/bb/cc cream that is made up of clean ingredients + gives optimal results...'cause like, why buy makeup that’s clean if it doesn’t even look good? I am slowly transitioning into clean 🌿products so here goes nothing. I stumbled across Lily Lolo- a UK makeup brand- after searching the internet for a good, clean foundation. It had really good reviews! Nordstrom was selling the foundation but they didn’t have my shade so I decided to order my products from Credo Beauty. Tower 28 was another product I saw on there and had seen on Instagram for quite a while. 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 REVIEW: LILY LOLO - Mineral Foundation 4 ingredient loose mineral foundation (0.35 oz) I am not a powder foundation/powder anything type of person but I really like this foundation. I wear it on top of my elta md SKINCARE - UV Physical Broad-Spectrum SPF 41 (feels more like a tinted moisturizer) which i use as a bb cream and it's perfect. In my opinion, it is: Light-medium coverage (buildable) w/o the cakey effect Lightweight- feels like you're wearing nothing Looks so smooth Affordable ($22) Tip: I used the BareMinerals website (comment if you'd like to know how ) to find my shade if you don’t want to buy samples of the foundation. It worked for me LILY LOLO - Mineral Finishing Powder Supposed to give you a smooth, luminous feel. It made my skin feel super smooth (a 4/5) but I think it doesn’t fully deliver luminousity/radiance all the way (a 2/5). Don't get me wrong, it doesn't make you look dull at all. I think that I just expected more from it. TOWER 28 - SuperDew Highlighter Balm I like it but I don't love it. It is supposed to give you a glassy, highlighter type of look without the glitter and sparkles but I think it resembles the product in a transluscent EOS organic stick balm. It's not sticky or tacky in any way. It does give you a natural gloss which is kinda nice but nowhere near a glassy effect. It's cool if you're using it for a natural look with minimal coverage/"makeup— no makeup look" for a more dewy effect and for that, I will be using it since I like that look too. 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read this. If you have any questions or would like a more in depth review, let me know! Also, if you use any of these products, I’d like to know what your take was on them. Thanks! Subtle radiance and glow w a clean bronzer duo
If you want a sun-kissed/healthy-glow look using clean makeup, Mineral Fusion- Bronzer Luster Fusion Duo is awesome. It doesn’t leave a sparkly/shimmery look. It’s pure radiance ☀️ MINERAL FUSION - Vegan Natural Bronzer I would say that the product is buildable without the powdery feel; it just settles in. I personally use it as a bronzer/highlighter and on my eyelids if I want a little pop. Let’s talk ingredients! The bronzer duo contains antioxidants. I’ve also checked their ingredients online...they’re pretty good. They’re also hypoallergenic, talc & paraben free amongst other things. Cons? I’ve had to buy this product twice because o always break them. It’s quite fragile and I’m a bit clumsy. 🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼 FYI: I wet my hand a bit to get a more pigmented swatch of the colors. It’s not that pigmented in case you’re thinking that they look really shimmery. Check it out! I picked this up at my local Sprouts store and it was cheaper than buying it on the Mineral Fusion Website. I believe that you can find it at Target or The Vitamin Shoppe (just saw that they had it for like $8). If you try it out, let me know how you liked it.

Why I Prefer DIY Nails 💅🏽
There’s a lot of things I like to get done by other people 👸🏽 but doing nails isn’t one of them. I personally prefer to leave that task in my own hands. Why? (0. Mistrust in sanitation: omg ok so maybe this all stems from childhood trauma, but my mom used to work in aesthetics and spas & told me to avoid getting my nails done at salons because they don’t always sanitize the tools properly, risking fungal exposure... but that was early 00s, I’m trusting things to be of higher standards today 😬) 1. Choice in nail polish quality - some of y’all know me for this by now: due to my health sensitivity, I’m super careful with what ingredients I intentionally expose myself to. And unfortunately, there aren’t many salons, especially in a small city like mine, where salons just use clean/green/non-toxic ingredients... for cheap at that. So I’ve been able to find quality, clean brands that are sold at health conscious stores & can feel less guilt when I’m painting my nails away, experimenting with all the colours. In this photo, I am wearing MINERAL FUSION - Whisper Nail Polish they have quite the colour range & they are formaldehyde and toluene free! 2. Protecting my nails from breakage - ok this might be another trauma response, but I know once you go the route of artificial nails, where glue and gels are involved, it’s easy to get hooked on getting your nails done a couple times a month because it’s hard to deal with wrecked nails. I recently got a gel manicure for the first time, and though it looked cute, I regretted it as soon as I saw the top layers of my nailbeds being “sawed” off. The removal of the manicure only made my nails more sensitive and brittle, and I had to be super careful during the recovery. So yeaaah, never again! 3. Getting creative/self-care - ok my nails in this photo aren’t necessarily anything creative. I literally just painted 2 coats on and blew them dry & then carefully did some work on my phone until completely dried... but there’s just something so rewarding in self-grooming. For me, it’s nice to take some time out of the day to tend to myself. And a little bonus while you’re doing your nails is no one can ask you to do any chore for a while because “I CANT RUIN MY NAILS!” 💁🏽‍♀️ 4. Saving money - I believe in supporting your local businesses, but I also believe in supporting myself by saving my coin where I can. We all have different priorities and you can see with my other 3 reasons, the fanciest of nails isn’t necessarily one of them...
