best & blah hair products @ Sephora 🌟
BEST & BLAH 👉🏻 Sephora Edition 😌🙌🏼 We all know the holy grail products we can find at Sephora. For me, I flock to the shelves for Ouai, a haircare line quite popular in the IG community 💡Before trying out their line, I was always skeptical of the value in their products. Come on, is this really worth it? I was an avid fan of it's a 10 haircare - Leave-In Conditioner Spray Product , my holy grail for my wavy, thick hair (which, is extremely damaged!) I could always count on that single product after washing my hair to smooth my hair and aid in softening my ends. Eventually, I had to try out Ouai haircare. After bleaching my hair to its absolute end, I knew I needed to find quality products when it came to styling my hair. My hair had always been picky with the products it uses, especially when it came to styling products. Sticky, thick and too drying formulas turn me off. So, when needing to find my “best and blah,” I knew I had to put Ouai in the hot seat. 1. OUAI - OUAI Wave Spray This one left my hair tacky, even with a minimal amount of product sprayed on. My waves weren’t much defined as they would be without this product. This one is $12 (small bottle) at Sephora. Worth it? No, not in my opinion. A better alternative is NOT YOUR MOTHER'S - Beach Babe Soft Waves Spray . 2. OUAI - OUAI Volume Spray Hmmm.. perhaps my hair is thick enough to have volume already. Nevertheless, I was not a huge fan of this volume spray. I used it before blowing my hair out and all it did for me was add more product onto my hair, no volume. Worth it? No 😭 I tried my best to like this product but I can’t bring myself to pay $26. 3. OUAI - Dry Shampoo Foam A NEW DRY SHAMPOO FAVORITE! I love this formula (mousse-like) and the smell. It leaves a refreshing and cooling feeling on my scalp. Worth it? YES. I’ll definitely be buying this again, worth the $28! 4. gisou - Honey Infused Hair Oil This is a great hair oil, don’t get me wrong. I enjoyed the packaging, the consistency and the result of my hair after smoothing this into it; HOWEVER, $46 doesn’t sit right with me for a hair oil so is it worth it? Not for me. 5. eva·nyc - Mane Magic 10-in-1 Primer I enjoyed the smell and lightweight spray of the nozzle, offering a lighter application of the product. But, too much and your hair gets STICKY. Beware of the amount you use. If used right, it’s worth your time. Worth it? $12 for a great heat protectant is worth it to me! 6. gisou - Propolis Infused Polishing Primer Ehhhh, I couldn’t find the value in this for me. I heard a lot of people talk about their hair feeling smoother after styling once using this; however, I personally couldn’t notice a difference. I loved the creamy texture but I can’t purchase it again. Worth it? $34 isn’t worth it for me 😭

How to Fix Hair Static ❄️
I have thin, straight hair so when winter comes and I need my little hat, my hair goes wild! But why? ❄️ What is hair static? ❄️ Hair static is when your hair gains an electric charge. This can happen from friction and a change in humidity. This makes the hair pieces separate from each other and of course adds challenges for styling. Generally this happens more in the winter due to the low humidity. Here are some tips to prevent this! ✨Use a hair oil My favorite one is my Gisou. It is lightweight and made with honey so it is very hydrating and helps me with flyaways and general hair frizz even when it is summertime. This doesn’t leave hair heavy or sticky and I feel like this always makes my hair look and feel better. Not to mention it smells amazing! This comes in a mini and full size and is now available at Sephora. Also it’s so luxurious and the glass packaging is gorgeous. This has three sizes now, the mini is $25 and 0.7 oz so that’s probably a good place to start but I purchased the 1.7 oz for $46 and LOVE it. I will be purchasing the full size too. ✨You can buy anti-frizz sheets This is a new discovery for me and I haven’t tried them yet but rather than dryer sheets which are not meant for your hair, these sheets have things like coconut oil in them and are meant to be used on flyaways and the hair line to help with static. These can be found on Amazon! ✨Use hydrating hair products This could be your shampoo, conditioner and even the occasional hair mask but these will also help a lot with static. You’re going to want to avoid any drying products as well. I personally love Olaplex products because they repair hair from the inside out and smell so good 🍓 This is 8.5 oz and $28. They also have a cute holiday set out for $60 which has the shampoo, conditioner, hair mask and bond smoother. Also, when styling your hair, make sure to use a heat-protector which will lock in the moisture! gisou - Honey Infused Hair Oil OLAPLEX - No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner #CheriePartner

Perfume Tour - A Fragrance for Every Mood
Perfume is hands down my favourite beauty category and has been forever! I remember falling in love with perfume as a child while sorting through my mom’s collection of beautiful, delicate bottles. One of my favourite things about perfume is that to me, it is the best memory. I will smell a certain perfume and be transported back to a specific moment in time and the feeling & emotions that can evoke...is priceless. When I was younger, I preferred the sugary sweet scents (like all the Britney Spears ones, Aqualina Pink Sugar, etc) but as I’ve gotten older I still prefer warm scents, but I love more spicy versions. Here’s a little tour of some of my favourites: YVES SAINT LAURENT - Black Opium Eau de Toilette - I know, I know - who doesn’t wear this one?! But it’s just so good. With notes of black coffee, white flowers, and vanilla, I find this one so warm & sexy - it’s perfect for a winter date night! GUERLAIN - Mon Eau de Toilette - key notes of lavender, bergamot, and vanilla. This one is incredible! It’s warm & sweet but not quite as heavy as Black Opium. It smells fancy, expensive, and classy. To me it would be perfect to wear on your wedding day! Maison Margiela - ’REPLICA’ Beach Walk - key notes of bergamot, heliotrope, and coconut milk. This is perfect for the summer, it’s warm but still has a light freshness. The only downfall is it doesn’t last long! CAUDALIE - Soleil des Vignes - this is like Beach Walk but a bit heavier and more of a sunscreen smell (which I LOVE) but lasts longer. I wore this a ton in the summer! Maison Margiela - 'REPLICA' Coffee Break Eau de Toilette - key notes are coffee accord, milk mousse, and lavender. This one is so unique! It smells warm and clean and...comforting? If that makes sense! Maison Margiela - REPLICA Whispers In The Library - key notes are pepper essence, tonka bean, and cedar wood. This is perfect for chilly Fall/Winter nights! It’s way too heavy to wear in warm weather IMO. It’s feminine and masculine at the same time (it’s marketed as a unisex fragrance) and lasts forever on the skin. gisou - Honey Infused Hair Perfume - I think everyone knows and loves this scent! It smells like warm honey with a bit of a white floral added in. This one can at times give me a bit of a headache, but if I use it lightly I do enjoy it. So can you tell that I have a theme?! I love warm & spicy scents and some of my favourite notes in perfume are bergamot, vanilla, patchouli, coconut, coffee, and lavender. I also clearly have a Replica fragrance obsession🙈 A few fragrances that I’m hoping to add to my collection are: - Guerlain Coconut Fizz - Replica By the Fireside - YSL Black Opium (repurchase) - Guerlain Mon Guerlain (repurchase) - Narciso Rodriguez NARCISO - Carolina Herrera Good Girl #CheriePartner

GOURMANDE 🍨 FRAGRANCE CAPSULE
Here’s a list of my favourite gourmande perfumes of all tome! They’r all pretty affordable, designer, very wearable. What are your favorite perfumes? I love smelling new ones! Paco Rabanne - Olympéa [FiveStars] A cheerful, more fruity gourmande. On the bright side but not exactly “young”. The base is still salty vanilla cashmere but layered with crisp apple. It’s the freshest and most laid-back gourmande scent I own. Can be worn every day. Not like any other Paco Rabanne you’ve ever smelled. Jean Paul Gaultier - La Belle [FiveStars] Sticky gourmande 101 - very straight forward notes of sweet vanilla, apricot and honey. You smell like an actual appricot cake. Uncomplicated, relaxed greatness. Elie Saab - Girl of Now [FiveStars] Hybrid base notes of almond cream and tonca bean with top layers of pear and pistacchio. The pistacchio in this is so energizing. It brings a new vibe to the whole category imho. Very interesting scent that remind me of summer afternoons in the city. YVES SAINT LAURENT - Black Opium Eau de Parfum My first love! This is a fragrance with bold projection. Deep and spicy, it hits you from the open with coffee and vanilla and dries down a little more white floral. Massively sexy and borders on Oriental for sure. Perfect for late winter or a night out. GUERLAIN - Mon Eau de Parfum A thin gourmande. Still sweet but with an Iris and Lavender vibe to it. I would call this your every-day gourmande. A very likeable skin scent that smells like sweet vanilla and lavender. Jean Paul GAULTIER - Scandal for Women Eau de Parfum Ouff! this one is a deep, complexe and sensual scent. Projection that will grab attention so I would be mindful of when/where you wear it. Smells like honey layered over orange blossom and spiked with green floral/jasmin. There’s definitely a powder to it but its not at all obnoxious. I’m completely addicted to it. Perfect for when you’re generally up to no good 😏... DOLCE&GABBANA - The Only One Eau de Parfum A sophisticated and tidy gourmande you can wear any time. The base notes are coffee/chocolate and I want to say orange blossom. Definitely some floral in here but it is crisp. A super well put-together, elevated fragrance. BOSS - The Scent Private Accord for Her Eau de Parfum Speaking of chocolate and orange.. This is very bright and captivating. Has a fresh/clean character to it but also smells like a delicious choco-orange treat. It’s sweet without being “sticky”. Wear any time, anywhere - she’s not fussy. gisou - Honey Infused Hair Perfume I love the smell of honey in the shower and in my hair and this is 100% that honey smell. It’s as if LUSH’s “It’s Raining Men” had an older, cooler sister we never knew about. Smells like honey royalty.

Dealing with humidity hair 😱
If you’re like me and have hair that loves to expand in humidity and also live in a place with very humid summers, you know the struggle of finding products that take the fluff without making your hair look weighed down! I recently started using the gisou - Honey Infused Hair Oil and have found this to be the perfect tool for keeping my hair in check! The oil is a little thick at first but when you rub it between your hands, it thins out. I use one drop to cover all of my medium length hair and there’s no notice of an oily residue left behind. All it does is smooth down that top layer of fluff, and give my hair a really nice shine overall. It has a faintly sweet smell that doesn’t last very long. I will definitely repurchase because somehow this oil feels nothing like an oil on but does all the magic that an oil should! The gisou - Propolis Infused Polishing Primer has been nice but I haven’t had a solid chance to try it while heat styling my hair (which I haven’t done because quarantine life!!) when I apply this to my hair while it’s wet, it does seem to stop some of the frizz from happening as my hair air dries but I feel like it would best be used when blowing my hair out.

Gisou Hair Care 🍯 Hype or Worth it?
Gisou Hair by Negin Mirsalehi is one of those hyped up Instagram / influencer brands that looks amazingly aesthetically pleasing, yet raises the question if it’s worth its luxury price tag. Well, let me get straight to the point: as someone who has tried & tested many different hair products, Gisou’s hair care is one of the best I have come across for my frizzy, dry, color-treated 2b/2c wavy hair. I’ve been using all the Gisou products since they came out and I am blown away by most of them. Here my overview + review of each item featured in my pictures. gisou - Honey Infused Hair Oil This Hair Oil is a LIFECHANGER ✨ I have had so many different oils over the year, but no oil is as potent, shine-adding, moisturizing & de-frizzing as this one. It costs a pretty penny but it’s so worth it. It also smells amazing, like a wildflower garden perfume. The oil is quite heavy, so if you have thin/oily-prone hair, skip this one. A full-size bottle lasts me about a year, using it 2-4 times a week. gisou - Hair mask The Gisou Hair Mask is great for people who want a deep hydration treatment, without weighing their hair down. Since the hair oil is more tailored for people with thick hair, this hair mask would work more universally. The smell is amazing as well and I love the cute pink jar. gisou - Honey Infused Hair Wash Great shampoo, without SLES or SLS. It leaves my scalp clean but not stripped. It smells the same as the mask & conditioner and is overall a great, effective yet gentle shampoo. It’s not my favorite item tho, so pass on this one if you have a smaller budget. gisou - Honey Infused Conditioner Just like the shampoo, this conditioner works great as well. On days my hair does not need that much hydration, I love using this conditioner. It does not weigh my hair down, leaves it smelling beautifully, and contains no silicones. gisou - Propolis Infused Heat Protecting Spray So the Heat Protecting Spray is nice, but nothing special. I always use it before I heatstyle my hair, but have not seen any specific ‘heat protecting’ results. It doesn’t leave any residue on the hair, and smells nice, other than that, not that special. All in all, I would highly recommend the Hair Oil. The mask, shampoo & conditioner are great too. The Heat Protecting Spray is nice, but nothing special. Hope this helps! 💕 #cheriecreator

New beauty buys! Honey infused haircare 🐝
Honey has both emollient and humectant properties, making it a great hair moisturizer. I have medium-thick, wavy hair that tends to get very frizzy. Honey sounds like an amazing ingredient to use if your hair is similar to mine! Gisou is finally available at Sephora and everyone seems to rave about the brand, so I finally decided to see if the hype is real for myself. 🍯 gisou - Honey Infused Hair Wash First of all, this smells amazing! I’m guessing this is Gisou’s signature scent as the conditioner smells the same. This shampoo claims to: -effectively get gently cleanse. -removing buildup while keeping your scalp and hair moisturized. -suitable for all hair types and safe for colored or chemically treated hair. It’s key ingredient is of course, Mirsalehi Honey, and I really, really like it! My entire body tends to be very dehydrated and this includes my scalp, I have a picky, sensitive scalp and this hasn’t irritated me or caused any issues. Au contraire, my scalp feels healthy and a lot less itchy which makes sense as one thing I did when my scalp was acting up was apply a homemade honey and ACV hair mask. I’m so pleased with this purchase and it’s nice they have minis so you can try before purchasing the full size because das esspensive, but I honestly think it’s worth it. 🍯 gisou - Honey Infused Conditioner Their conditioner has the same amazing scent as the shampoo. It claims to: -detangle and condition hair. -be a nourishing yet weightless formula. -leave hair hydrated, manageable and strong. I haven’t used the conditioner as much, so my thoughts on it are still very superficial but it’s a nice formula in my opinion. I tend not to use conditioner on hair washing days because I feel it tends to weight my hair down, but this conditioner is actually very nice! My hair feels soft, tangle-free and looks healthy every time I do use it. The only downside for me would be the price, Gisou products are just pricey overall, but I think I can justify it the splurge for myself as I really like how these two are working for me. I’m always hesitant to try overhyped products as I’m often disappointed after they don’t meet the standard set out by everyone, but I feel Gisou is absolutely worth it! I will be purchasing the full size of both the shampoo and conditioner as I’m really interested to see how my hair looks after using both for a while. Have you tried any super hyped beauty brand that actually meets up to the hype? #Cheriepartner

Gisou Curling Tool: Best Curling Iron? ✨
Since so many of you loved my first Gisou review, I decided to do another one, dedicated to the brand new Limited Edition Curling Tool. Since Negin Mirsalehi’s curls are arguably the most beautiful curls out there, I was super curious to try out her Curling Tool. As always, her marketing & packaging is on point. It comes with a sustainable paper pulp tool, and silicone pink heat mat to put the barrel on when you’re curling your hair. The specs of the curling tool are the following: - 1-inch ceramic barrel - Digital display - 10 temperature settings + temperature lock - 2,5 M long swivel cord - Automatic safety shut-down - Heat mat included So, is this gisou - gisou Curling Tool Limited Edition anything special, or is it just a regular curling tool? I’ve tried it out and I want to say no. Don’t take me wrong - I think it’s a great curling iron hence the 4 stars, but if you have a 1-inch curling iron laying around you don’t need to get this one. However, if you don’t have a 1-inch curling iron, definitely consider getting this one! Why I love it. 💕 It heats up quickly, but what really impressed me is that it cools down really fast too. I was able to touch the barrel after 5 minutes of turning it off. It’s also very light weight, making it perfect to travel with. The barrel is a bit shorter than normal, so if you have long hair skip this one (although Negin has super long hair and she makes it work). I have naturally thick & textured medium/long hair and this curling iron does work very well on my hair. I just need to hold the piece for 1-3 seconds and I get a perfect curl. It also held up really well in my hair - the next day I did not have to recurl one piece! All in all, I would say that this is a great curling tool - however if you already own a 1-inch curling wand, don’t feel the need to get this one too! #cheriecreator

Gisou - Honey Infused Hair Perfume
Gisou - Honey Infused Hair Perfume
gisou - Honey Infused Hair Perfume PRODUCT A light hair mist meant to scent the hair with Gisou’s signature honey-infused scent. This isn’t targeted toward anyone specifically and and texture is not applicable. OPINION I was so excited to try this product because I looooove the scent of the Hair Oil. I am not sure if I got a fluke of a product, but mine does not smell anything like the oil. It isn’t that the product smells bad, but it just doesn’t smell like the oil. It has a light herbal honey scent, that is less fresh than the oil, but something light. I do not think it lasts for a long time, but it is meant to be a hair perfume, so the throw + longevity isn’t something that is claimed or expected. Overall, I think this product is good, but I do wish it was a bit more affordable, given that is close to $90. I give it a 4/5 stars.

I get asked often if the Honey oil is worth it- Absolutely. It’s packed with amino acids, vitamins and minerals. I find that the smallest amounts make my split ends manageable and smooth. Big plus it’s ethically sourced. I also love that they offer a travel size to make for easy traveling. 10/10 gisou - Honey Infused Hair Oil

Gisou fave!!
Gisou fave!!
This Gisou hair perfume is my absolute favorite scent! This is a long lasting perfume that is meant to be sprayed all over the hair, but I love to spray it all over my body as well 🙃 I bought this a couple months ago, mainly because I saw it so much and wanted to try it for myself. My only regret is not buying the full size, which I will definitely purchase when this one runs out. This smells divine, sweet and a but powdery and also floral, but not overpowering at all. This is worth the price/time/effort, I can never see myself without this perfume now! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a lovely hair perfume! gisou - Honey Infused Hair Perfume

Honey Honey!!
Honey Honey!!
This is a review for gisou - Honey Infused Hair Perfume . I love it. Honey has such a lovely light sweet scent and this hair perfume captures that scent well. I like that it has pretty good staying power, especially for a hair perfume, and the sillage is a happy medium. This is a great everyday scent; subtle but not faint.
