Acne patches!
So I try a lot of acne patches because although my skin is usually fine, as a woman we get periods and those hormones cause me to break out. I usually use HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewell and get this off of Amazon but I found it to be on the tad expensive side even though it does work. I then also bought the ZITSTICKA - Goo Getter which I have yet to use and is also not super cheap but I think it will work as well. I recently purchased the CRÈME shop - Cotton Candy Skin Hydrocolloid Acne Patches and the CRÈME shop - Dreamy Skin Hydrocolloid Dark Spot Acne Patches after seeing one of my fav youtubers talk about it and well, it’s not only affordable but it works! I got it directly off their site and it works amazing not to mention that it smells great and looks cute! They’re like $4.50 each so I bought a few and I would totally buy more! Don’t spend a lot when there are affordable options! My dark spots are clearing but slowly (after a few days) and my acne just vanishes! I definitely recommend this!

Differin progress... is this a purge or what?
Sorry this is gross.. I know my skin isn’t pretty right now. Today marks the 4th week I’ve been on DIFFERIN - 0.1% Adapalene Acne Treatment Gel Pump and also my new birth control (yaz). I have literally never, EVER seen my skin this awful and angry. Should I stick it out until the and of 12 weeks? Does this look like a purge or just a flat out breakout?! I’m freaking out.. I don’t even want to go outside looking like this. I’m also using Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream am and pm, and cleansing with CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser . Not looking to add any more products. Sometimes I use a hydrating toner. The dryness and peeling has subsided but the pimples do hurt, my cheeks are tender to the touch and sometimes itchy but that has gotten better over time also. Please help!!!!! EDIT: i just bought the DIFFERIN - Daily Deep Cleanser BPO 5%, Neutrogena - On-the-Spot Acne Treatmentand HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewellto hopefully combat the horrible breakouts pictured above. just praying it doesnt over dry my skin.

Review: the mighty patch
Pimple patches have recently become a big part of many of our skincare routines. I have acne (although it has gotten significantly better recently) and I decided to try pimple patches on some whiteheads! There are many different brands and I have read great reviews on mighty patch, so I thought I’d give them a try! My experience: I picked these up from target about 4 months ago. Whenever I had a whitehead, I would put one of these on after I would wash my face. If I wasn’t wearing makeup during the day I would put a patch on during the day and if I was wearing makeup I’d put them on overnight. I’m currently on my 8th pack!!! These really come in handy when it’s that time of the month and those big hormonal pimples start coming in (which is currently happening to me at the moment). My review: These patches do a great job of getting everything out of the pimple and helping them heal faster. I found that these patches got rid of my pimple twice as fast as other treatments did. These also stopped me from popping my pimples because whenever I wanted to pop one, I’d put a patch on instead! Overall, 10/10 recommend for anyone who has trouble with getting rid of those pesky whiteheads! HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original and Invisible+ Bundle

BIG BIG NO NO 🙅🏾‍♀️❌
Yes , I know we all have this common hatred for pimples and we want them off our faces immediately...but popping your pimples is harming your skin 🥺. *Popping pimples damaged the skin . When you pop one, you inadvertently force the debris from your pores into the skin follicle. Also causing the follicle wall to rupture, divulging all of that infected bacteria into the dermis. *Worsens blemishes! Picking at a pimple can leave a scar which can sometimes be hard to get rid of. Those unwanted dark marks are most likely because you were messing with a break out. Tips on how cater to your breakouts: 1. Always keep the area clean, if you can try not to wear makeup when having a break out . Let your skin breathe. 2. Try blemish patches my fav is the HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original and Invisible+ Bundle can be worn throughout the day with no visibility of it being on your face . 3. Try some home remedies, a lot of the recipes ingredients you most likely have at home so it’s very cheap. 4. Clean bedding, I keep an overstock of pillow cases and comforters just so when I switch one out I have a clean one to put on. Any more tips and tricks list them down below to help some girlies out ! Also any question feel free to ask, I’d happily answer all of them. Goodnight guys 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

Face Picking Relapse & How I’m Moving Forward
So.. it happened. I relapsed and started picking my face again for the umpteenth time. I won’t lie, relapsing on a bad behavior like skin-picking sucks! I definitely beat myself up over it and even gave up entirely on stopping for a few weeks. That is, until I realized that feeling bad about myself and actively allowing myself to pick were absolutely never going to help me stop. The only way to stop is to be kind to myself and try again. Now, I’m choosing not to focus on my relapse or the fact that I was only able to stop for a few days. It’s happened many times before and it will surely happen again. After all, picking is a compulsion, and usually not a conscious choice. In addition to my other “stop picking” behaviors mentioned in my last post , here’s what I’ve been doing since my little revelation: Stopped keeping a tally of “days without picking”I realized I was way too hyper focused on the number of days I could go without picking and it was actually making me think about picking more. If I catch myself picking I stop and move on, I’m basically not making myself feel shame or guilt anymore. This has helped me significantly cut down on picking Started seeing a therapist. I’ve wanted to try therapy for years and finally gathered the courage to do it! My therapist has made it clear that this is a really tough thing to stop but she has been helping me identify why I pick which is something I had never given any thought to. This is helping me to try to find what helps me not pick and behaviors I can do when I feel that “urge”. Even if this doesn’t help me stop picking, it’s been so beneficial to my mental health already. Changed my thinking I’ve been reminding myself that picking is like hitting the “un-do” button on my routine that I’ve worked really hard to develope. My active acne is staying away and the urge to pick lessens significantly when I don’t have any scabs or spots to pick at. Some other things that have really been helping with my skin: DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator Krave - Oat So Simple Water Cream Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream *HG🙌🏼 HERO COSMETICS - Rescue Balm -this stuff seems to heal spots I pick at in hours! I put it on immediately after picking and before bed. Seriously helps cut down on scabs to pick at. I’ve also started to eat more anti-inflammatory food (currently obsessing over blueberries). It may or may not be a placebo effect but I swear my skin has been way less inflamed! First picture is when I “gave up”and second picture is my skin today. I still have a ways to go but I feel like I’m finally making progress.

End of Day 8, Before Routine
Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a few days, I've been caught up with work but still continuing my routine. These pictures were taken before washing my face today just to see if there's been any improvement. So far I've noticed my acne isn't the main issue today, it's the red spots. I have a few pimples here and there compared to how it was at the beginning of this week. I am still waiting to receive my products from Hero Cosmetics, and I am looking forward to trying out the HERO COSMETICS - Micropoint for Blemishes, HERO COSMETICS - Rescue Balm, and the HERO COSMETICS - Lightening Wandthe most! I will keep you guys updated and thank you for being here with me on my journey to healthier skin (:

Hero mighty patch
HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Variety Pack Im honestly not sure how I feel about this. I put this one a couple of acne breakouts overnight. One of them was a huge whitehead that I could have easily popped in 1 second, and when I woke up it was still there and didn’t do anything? I left it for 11 hours so it should’ve worked. I do like that these stick well and they stop me from picking my spots. They do speed up the healing with a different spot o had but I think I wouldn’t reach for these on a daily basis just because it’s way too expensive for me? I don’t know why pimple patches are so expensive right now but I’m not a fan. I will use these up but would maybe try others the next time. For that price they should at least help with my spot!

Patch Of My Life
I’m all about pimple patches and haven’t found many that stand out to me. I love the Mighty Patch by Hero just simply because they come in smaller style packs that are easy to throw in a bag and go. They really work just as good as most pimple patches to help trap your pimples and dry them out overnight or during the day - which ever you choose to do. I do love the fact that these patches are very hard to see even after applying to the face. I have gone to the store a few times with them on and got no crazy looks ( that I know of ). They are light and not super heavy feeling on the skin. Easy to apply to the face and easy to take off. They do not irritate my skin at all and I have super sensitive skin. I love that these patches are super affordable and are found everywhere. Why didn’t we have these babies when I was a teenager?!?! HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Variety Pack

Hero Cosmetics... Hormonal Acne.. Bruh Girl
Disclaimer I am not a professional or influencer and anything but a 29 Year Old Bruhh Girl with a skincare addiction and battle with Sh***y skin for my entire life!!! I recently moved from NY to FL about 7 months ago and my skin did not agree with the change, or I have just entered into a new phase... I’m thinking Hormonal Acne but I have not been seen by any professionals... Since Aug 2020 I have been on the hunt like seriously I’ve been hunting down the elite skincare routine for my skin!!! Yes I spent way too much money on legit every TikTok trend my boyfriend every week would be like “let me guess TikTok made u buy it” but all in all he supports the chase since he knows how much it means to me to have that glowing smooth skin... Also I should add I’m an extreme picker like it’s terrible I hope you’ve enjoyed this rant... let me know if you’d like to see more products I’ve purchased ❤️ #Hero Cosmetics - Clear Collective Trio[products]#[FiveStars] This stuff is just pure magic, it’s affordable $35 for the set, a little goes a long way, packaging is beautiful, and just works so well. I’ve been using this set AM / PM for the last 7 days and I can already set see such a difference 😍 I finally feel like I have found a simple and affordable line of products that just do the job! The only thing I didn’t love at first was that all of the products have absolutely no scent, and the cream felt a little thick but you seriously only need a pea size for full face! HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewell These are life savers, and the 24 pack is only $8, like I’ve mentioned I’m a picker! I’ve been really forcing myself to remember to use these first signs of a pimple and whelp they never disappoint. Plus it’s kinda satisfying waking up seeing that they worked and peeling off the patch and no longer having a painful bump 🙌🏻🙌🏻 HERO COSMETICS - Lightening Wand I purchased the travel size of this product to give it a try, since I am a picker often my post pimple healing phase can last weeks of redness / scabs ... this has deff been helping with the redness and healing period but after some reading I think I will be giving the Rescue Balm a try. The lighting wand is easy to use but the travel is $10 and full size $20, and the Rescue Balm is $13, personally I feel like this may be more useful for post acne scars rather than healing process.

Things that helped me with acne 🪵
The Cosrx aha and bha toner helped me with exfoliating and letting products absorb better. The CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol helped with my hyperpigmentation and pores. My current favorite Differin Gel is helping me with my dark spots and acne. The Hero Cosmetics Lightning Wand is helping me fade my dark spots and hyperpigmentation. I have used the Netrogena Benzoyle Peroxide for so long and it’s helped me control my acne. And lastly The Inky List bha serum helped me with my black and white heads.

Heatless Curls & Beneath The Makeup
This weekend I decided to revisit my Curl Formers to get this look. I wanted some curls but I did not want to put any heat on my hair so I decided to give these a try. I usually use them on wet hair but I decided to use them on air dried hair and this is how they turned out. Curl formers are similar to flexirods but they give you a spiral curl instead of a cork screw curl. I was having a few breakouts but I really wanted to get all dolled up for the day and this foundation was calling my name. So to avoid irritating my skin even more by applying makeup over my breakouts I thought I would try putting a few hero patches beneath my foundation. This was my first time trying both this foundation and wearing these patches beneath my makeup. I had about 5 patches on but only two of them are really obvious. I’m surprised how well it blended into my skin. Also my breakouts were no longer irritated or inflamed by the end of the day when I was ready to remove my makeup. Once I got past the uncomfortable feeling of thinking about what I looked like wearing the patches with my foundation, I was fine. I’m obviously not a dermatologist or anything but FOR ME I liked having a barrier between my skin and the foundation that could treat my skin while still being able to enjoy getting glammed up and wearing foundation. Let me know if you have any tips, tricks, or skin hacks you like to do when you have a breakout. Do you go bare face or just apply makeup directly over your breakout? Do you have a go to method for heatless curls? I’m curious to know what others are trying. PIMPLES-GOOD RIDDANCE! (part 1)
A pimple is a part of everyone’s path and in the time I’ve lived, I encountered many a pimple and each time I obsess over it trying to find the most perfect spot treatment. I think just about anyone can relate. Below is my experience and thoughts on some of the things I’ve tried. A remedy for every pimple type! Kate Somerville - EradiKate Acne Treatment For night time application only. Very drying and funky (contains alcohol, an irritant to skin but works so well I can’t resist.) Most effective on a surfacing pimple (not the screaming kind). Pimple cleared within 1-2 days. Not for cystic acne. HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Invisible+ for Madewell $0.46 per sticker. Surprisingly super sticky and long lasting. As “invisible” as it gets, it blurs acne from afar. You can wear it under make up. Matte enough to wear out in public. Specific for pimples that look prime and ready to pop (note to self: resist the urge to squeeze). YES SISTERS!! This is it! It sucks everything up which gives me a close satisfying feeling to watching Dr. Pimple Popper pop that goody goody for good. alba BOTANICA - Acne Pimple Patch $0.19 per sticker. A cheaper alternative to the Mighty Patch. Contains ingredients like tea tree oil and witch hazel to help calm the pimple. Matte finish but not as thin as the Mighty Patch. Not that sticky, some fall off and gets stuck to my pillow at night. The outer edge circumference starts to lose its adhesiveness throughout the day (be brave enough to wear it in public, it helps!). If I wrote YES SISTERS for the Mighty Patch, this is more like a yes sisters. I use the Mighty Patch until most of the gunk is gone (around 1-2 nights) and if the pimple is still there then I switch and use Alba Botanica pimple patch to absorb any remaining fluids. PETER THOMAS ROTH - Acne Patches $0.44 per sticker. Glossy finish. It has different ingredients like salicylic acid and tea tree oil that helps soothe that flaring spot without drying you as it also contains hyaluronic acid. For best results, use on pimples that hasn’t come to a head yet. The adhesive is pretty top notch unless it’s worn in moist conditions. It has helped me prevent so many almost cystic pimples. I would be at a loss without it. If you know any other effective products feel free to share so I can experience the same joys of eliminating pimples with you! 🤩 For more tips on how to say goodbye to that pimple, check out my other post Pimples-Good Riddance Part 2.

hero cosmetics and i am HERE FOR IT
i suffer from hormonal breakouts whenever i’m due for a period. i break out in these painful and large lumps that are quite an eye sore and i make them even worse trying to rid of them. needless to say, my face looks like a war zone after i attack them (yes i know, i should leave them alone but its SO hard when they’re so big and painful!). desperate, i started looking into mighty patch(es) by hero cosmetics. i was a little skeptical because a lot of stuff that “instantly removes blemishes” or “heals overnight” does not live up to these expectations. however, after the first night of using a mighty patch, i was pleasantly surprised by how much it shrunk and cleansed the area on my face that became more of a sore with a ton of oil and grossness still in it. even my mom could not get over how much one little patch healed it up! is it completely gone? no, but i will be wearing the patches for another night or so because of how much it did help. once again, i’m glad my skepticism did not get the best of me😅 i liked this product so much i actually went and got two more of the duo packages. these patches contain gelatin however they are vegan which was also a huge plus for me as i have severe allergies to fish and shellfish- which is where some gelatin can come from! and that’s aside from being an affordable $6.99, because lets be honest, who likes spending a pretty penny for eh products? definitely not me! in all, hero cosmetics was definitely a hero for me HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Duo photo credits from ulta https://www.ulta.com/mighty-patch-duo?productId=pimprod2020519&sku=2572018&cmpid=PS_Non!google!Product_Listing_Ads&cagpspn=pla&CATCI=aud-625382019048:pla-442580435269&CAAGID=111959019985&CAWELAID=330000200002605903&CATARGETID=330000200002621798&CADevice=m&gclid=Cj0KCQiA0rSABhDlARIsAJtjfCeAFyDPgpNlDdSicW1gTLMrau4XnvD_HJS4WO16MhkiM60rH3JeJboaAgenEALw_wcB

Current faves! ❤️
Here's my current faves for January that are makeup and skincare products: GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Makeup Remover - I'm so surprised at how well makeup comes off using this! It's amazing and I didn't have an allergic reaction to it (typically makeup removers cause me to break out or make my face red, hot and blotchy) L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara in 201 black - I've been loving this mascara lately because it doesn't clump like crazy, it lengthens my lashes really well, and is so inexpensive!! HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Duo - I've used the original ones twice on some pretty big pimples and just a few hours later they were ready to pop! Also, I wore them during the day and tbh they aren't really that noticeable, maybe it's because of my skin tone & how the color of the patches is similar. They also stay on pretty well and really do the trick. Glossier. - Balm Dotcom in fig - I absolutely love this flavor and it's definitely the one I reach for the most. I've heard mixed reviews about it, and as someone who hasn't even tried a fig, I now want to try one. (the flavor probably isn't the exact same but that's ok) MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - O!Mega Bronzer Coconut Perfect in 102 tantric - this is my favorite bronzer ever and it's such a great value, because you get so much product. It's buildable, smooth, and smells so good!! NOTE: if you tap this item, it'll say that it's $65, which it's not! It's on sale for $34 at Sephora ($49 originally) DIOR - BACKSTAGE Face & Body Foundation in 1 cool rosy - I love this foundation and I've been reaching for it lately because of how smooth and buildable it is. ARMANI beauty - Luminous Silk Foundation in 3.75 - great coverage, super smooth, and really easy to blend out. One thing I do find when I use this foundation is that I need 2 pumps in order to get it to cover my whole face. It's not something super concerning, but I find some foundations go farther and I don't mind using 2 pumps tbh.

Pimple patches to the rescue!!
Loving this NEW product by Hero Cosmetics for pimples. I love their original and invisible (my fave) patches and these new ones have tiny micropoints to reach under the skin pimples. They come in a box of 6 for $12 ish dollars. Not the best price in my opinion, but definitely worth the try! (These were gifted to me by the brand).

Pimples be GONE!
Pimples be GONE!
I am someone who frequently gets pimples, mainly on my forehead or around my nose. I always am looking for ways to get rid of them without scarring or hurting my skin. Pimple patches are the WAY TO GO! When you put one on you’re not tempted to pick and they easily bring the pimple to the surface and is gone within a day or so. TheHERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original and Invisible+ Bundle are my favs, I always buy them when I’m in Target and especially love the invisible ones. I have definitely gone in public wearing them. THEY WORK!

Been comparing these acne patc
Been comparing these acne patches for the past week and now I’m ready to share my thoughts! Ollie Belle Cover Dot Acne Care - out of the three brands that I tested, this has the strongest adhesive. I also like how the dots are sticked to a perforated packaging which makes it easier to peel. Saw the fastest results with this one, you can really see how much oil and pus it has absorbed! Hero Cosmetics Mighty Patch Original - protects blemishes and makes pimple heal faster overnight. Thickest from the ones I tried, great for in-house use. Would love to see how the Invisible one compares! They also have a Surface variant (a huge rectangle hydrocolloid sticker) that seems great if you’re breaking out in one area. A’Pieu NonCo Tea Tree Spot Patch - formulated with pure essential tea tree oil to help spots and grape seed oil to keep skin moisturized. Thinnest and contains different sizes which makes it perfect for all types of pimple. Might just be my fave out of the three and works better for me than the COSRX ones!

Pimple patches
Pimple patches
These patches are made with hydrocolloid which is made with fluid absorbing agents while protects the pimple to heal faster. Both are made of the same material and promise the same results. They work best on pimples with fluid or pus in it. STARFACE - Hydro-Stars Honestly I didn’t get results with this product 🙈 this patches fall off easily and the pimples in which I use them has improved a little. The patches and the case are absolutely beautiful! But I didn’t get the expected results. It’s cost is higher $22 for 34 patches. This is why I decided to switch to HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewell These have worked better for me, I have seen results and they have lasted longer on my face than the other brand. It’s cost $12.50 for 36 patches. I generally don't look at the price if the product is good.

I love the hydracolloidal bandages from Mighty Patch HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewell . You just stick them on an active break out or white head and they almost disappear overnight. In fact, I’ve gone through several boxes over the past few months.. They’re not as affordable as some drugstore brands like Cosrx but they suck out more gunk. They’re a thicker bandage and I even got them in the larger size. They’re definitely meant for nighttime wear. You can really see the results. I was about to repurchase them again but I saw these Rael patches Rael - Miracle Ratch also have excellent reviews and I bought— I kid you not— a pack of 96 (!!!) for $16. I’ve used them and I think they are actually better than mighty patch. They’re much thinner and I couldn’t even see it after I put it on my skin. It totally disappeared. I think I may be a convert because I could definitely wear these to work and feel comfortable that no one would see them. They also seem to have an equal strength of gunk-sucking — gross, but wonderful. I recommend both. Swipe for comparison.
