After 3 months, I perfected my routine for: ✨GLOWING SKIN✨ My concerns: mild acne, moderate cystic acne, large pores, redness, uneven skin tone, prevent aging proactiv - MD Essentials System Value Set Step 1 Cleanse and Rinse proactiv - Deep Cleansing Face Wash This wash is gentile and leaves my face feeling smooth and soft. It has micro exfoliating beads that remove impurities and help keep skin clear. Step 2 Toner proactiv - Balancing Toner I love this toner because I don’t feel dry at all like I usually do with toners. Leaves skin feeling clean and refreshed. Step 3 Daily Sheet Mask and Eye Mask #Well Skincare - Radiance Daily Sheet Mask[products]#[FiveStars] This is a great sheet mask that I use to every other night. It really helps boost my skin's hydration levels and counteract the mild drying effects from the retinoid I use. JAYJUN - Lavender Tea Eye Gel Patch Jar JAYJUN - Green Tea Eye Gel Patch Jar Perfect eye masks! I alternate between both depending on the day. The green tea helps my under eye puffiness and the lavender for anti-aging. Step 4 Serum (formerly my spot treatment step) #Apostrophe - Azelaic Acid Formula (Azelaic Acid 15% + Niacinamide 4%)[products]#[FiveStars] Although Proactiv MD cleared up most of my breakouts and reduced pore size, I still struggled with dark spots and jawline cystic acne. I knew I needed something a little stronger that was also compatible when using retinoids. Apostrophe’s formula reduced my dark post-acne marks and evened my skin tone and texture. It also has anti-aging properties. Pea-size amount recommended all over face. Step 5 Retinoid proactiv - Adapalene Gel 0.1% Acne Treatment This is an Rx-strength retinoid available OTC! Perfect for people who want to treat acne and prevent aging. It takes 8-12 weeks to see acne clearing results. However I noticed my skin clearing up in about 4 weeks and my only breakouts became hormonal, cystic jawline acne. I didn’t want to use a stronger retinoid due to drying side effects, which did take some time for my skin the get use to. I LOVE this formula specifically; the texture is lightweight and dries quickly. Step 6 Eye Cream and Spot Treatment proactiv - Eye Brightening Serum This eye cream is packed with peptides, vitamins C and E. ORIGINS - Super Spot Remover Acne Treatment Gel It has it name for a reason. Noticeable improvement in pimple size within 24 hours! Better than drugstore spot treatment. Step 7 Moisturizer proactiv - Green Tea Moisturizer Soothing and non greasy! My skin feels hydrated and soft after use. Won’t clog pores and packed with botanicals! Step 8 Face oil eve hansen - Blue Tansy Skin Repair Face Oil A great face oil for acne prone skin! Leaves my skin feeling soothed and moisturized. Especially good for complexion repair.

I don’t love sheet masks as much as I used to, and I promised myself I would stop using them as they are rarely anything but bad for the environment. I haven’t bought or received any since I pledged that, so I’m excited to use them all up! However, these three are my favorite and I will miss them. E nature - Birch Juice Hydro Cream Sheet Mask — Key Ingredients: birch sap, chamomile extract — Claims: drenched in cream to hydrate, non tacky, soothes skin — Price: $4 per mask — My thoughts: this is my all time favorite hydrating mask. I won a giveaway from them a while back and they included this in the prize. I then ordered a pack later! I think they have a lovely fit, but most importantly they’re so hydrating, which is why I gave them “best hydrating mask!” The serum that’s in the mask is so very thick, almost like a thin moisturizer, or the cream skin toner everyone loves so much. It’s the best addition to a routine at night or during the day, or a midday pick me up. The calendula in the mask is very soothing and hydrating. Knours. - Be Kind to Your Skin Mask — Key Ingredients: hyaluronic acid & organic oils — Claims: hydrate skin and calm skin/mind — Price: $15 for 5 masks — My thoughts: this brand is near to my heart, and I love all the things I’ve tried from them! The sheet masks are my favorite, as they fit my face SO WELL (which is why I gave them “best application”). It’s lovely pre and during and post my period! Using this mask is very relaxing and makes me feel pampered — and it’s perfect for that time of the month when I’m feeling sad Lolol. This mask isn’t irritating at all and doesn’t break me out or freak out my skin. eve hansen - Antioxidant Sheet Mask - 5X Sheets — Key Ingredients: antioxidants, fruit extracts — Claims: reduce skin irritation & sun damage, and rejuvenate skin — Price: $21 for 5 masks — My thoughts: I gave this mask “best recovery mask” because it is SO good to use after you’ve been in the sun all day. It has lots of antioxidants so it helps fight any sun damage you received that day. It has a gentle smell and the serum is rather watery, and there’s always some left over so my neck and chest get some pampering too. I think the brand sent me this for testing, and I’ve almost used them all up! This will be a very missed mask.
