#Byredo - Unnamed[products]#[FiveStars] I recently purchased Gypsy Tears, and got this perfume as a sample. Somehow, I ended up spraying myself with it before bed, and smelled it on my sheets for weeks to come. It haunted me with its beautiful, mysterious notes. I could not figure out what it smelled like, and it put me in a trance. It smelled like magical flowers, like something fictional. I had to go back and get it, especially since it was a limited edition item (but I think it’s back for a limited time again). Byredo describes this scent as… “Deprived of any indications or preconceptions”. They say, “You must only close your eyes to view the film of your own emotions.” DON’T YOU JUST LOVE THAT? It even comes with a set of sticker letters you can apply to the white label to name it something special to you. As you can see, I named mine “Day 6”, after something special to me <3

BYREDO - Gypsy Water {Here I’m commenting on the scent itself, not on the politics of the name. Please respect my choice to review the product itself!) It took me WAY too long to try this scent, and once I did, I fell in love. It is one of the most multi-dimensional, complex scents I have ever smelled. It feels like one scent when you first spritz it on, and transforms into something completely different after a few minutes of wear - and I love them both. I have the eau de cologne (essentially a more diluted and therefore taller bottle of eau de parfum), and I BATHE myself in it. Unfortunately, the eau de cologne is not as long-lasting as eau de parfum, and I would recommend getting the latter. However the scent is the same, and it’s amazing. It smells like sandalwood and vanilla, subtly sweet yet very natural/woodsy and elegant. I love it dearly, and if what I said resonates with you, try finding a sample or going to a store to try it out! But I do think that only by wearing it will you understand if you vibe with it.

Crème Mains
Hi beauties, I’ve been wanting to try Byredo for a long time, both lotion & perfume. With the cold winter months, constant hand washing & a kitten my hands are cracked badly. So I recently ordered a hand crème because I go through them like hot cakes. I knew they would send me a few samples & one of the scents is “Mojave Ghost “which is life changing and I’m about to order a full size bottle. I love it!! Not knowing what scent to get from Byredo I ordered one I’ve seen often “Bal d’afrigue”, in all honesty the scent is “okay” nothing like the perfume samples I received. But, the hand crème itself is amazing!! I love the thick consistency, a little goes a long way, & it stays on for hours. This tube packaging is my fave. I love it for travel. I was addicted to Chanel Eggs and have gone through 4 of them this winter. This is my new fave hand lotion, I’ll repurchase(just with a diff scent). This was $43 which is extremely pricey for a hand crème but so are the chanel eggs. I love the speedy delivery as well. Have you tried Byredo? What is your fave scent? A handy product? I just thought I'd show some love for my byredo Bal d’Afrique Hand Cream. Not because of its price I have to admit (which at £29 for 30ml is sadly pretty steep), but because its cedarwood, musk, black amber, jasmine, violet, lemon and bergamot scent makes this one of those products which feels so luxurious to use. The addition of shea butter and glycerine also soften and moisturise, although the my sensitive hands could possibly have done without the added alcohol and dimethicone. Plus points: Stunning packaging which makes me feel (however momentarily) pretty chic when I use it. Gorgeous, complex and woody scent which lasts for quite a few hours. Non-greasy and lightly hydrating. Minuses: The price, which makes this the most expensive hand product I own. On the plus side, serious fragrance enthusiasts might find this a refreshing change from the usual lineup of hand cream scents.

Favorite Perfume - BYREDO Gypsy Water
WHAT IT IS? Eau de Parfum. NOTES: Top: Bergamot, Juniper Berries, Lemon, Pepper Heart: Incense, Orris, Pine Needle Base: Amber, Sandalwood, Vanilla OVERALL THOUGHTS: OMG!! The hype is real about this one. I first smelled this perfume on my friend (I was giving her a hug) and I just had to have it. It’s so unique yet familiar, cozy scent. I’m the worst at describing scents but to me is very grown up scent. Not clean/ fresh, not flowery, not heavy. It’s not “in your face” kinda scent, it’s subtle, private...kinda like...I have to allow you to come close enough to smell it but when you do it will stay with you forever kinda scent. I’m a fan. WHY I LIKE IT/DISLIKE IT: I love it. To me it’s very unique not very typical woman scent. WOULD I RECOMMEND IT ? It’s so hard to recommend perfumes as they are so personal to each person. It’s definitely not for everyone but if you like light, subtle, non-flowery scent give it a try. IS IT WORTH IT? 1.7 oz / 50ml/ $180 Very expensive but to me so worth it. I got this one as a gift from my mom when I was visiting her back home in Europe where they are slightly cheaper. It’s definitely an investment.

FAVE PERFUME: BYREDO GYPSY WATER
BYREDO - Gypsy Water Eau de Parfum Woody & Aromatic Top Notes: - Bergamot - Lemon - Pepper - Juniper Middle Notes: - Incense - Pine Needles - Orris Root Base Notes: - Amber - Vanilla - Sandalwood My Story: This is the newest perfume to my favorites collection. I’ve had my eye on Byredo fragrances for a long time just because I feel like each scent is so unique. But because they’re so expensive, I visited the Byredo counter at least 10 times before finally deciding to get Gypsy Water. It smelled the most enticing to me! I love this scent so much it’s so warm and woody on my skin and I literally can’t stop sniffing myself when I have it on! I also get lots of compliments when I wear it- so it’s definitely a noticeable scent!

•Pulp•
End of Summer Scent: “PULP” from Byredo easily comes to mind. It’s a floral/fruity scent that is appropriate for both men and women. First spray is not that amazing, tbh. It’s an overwhelming scent of bitter citrus rind (grapefruit especially) that throws me off. However, the mid notes of fig and Red Apple shine through after the dry down. I never really loved Apple scents as I find them a bit unsophisticated, however the mixture of bergamot, black currant and cedar make it well-rounded and complex. Projection lasts several hours (A couple feet of projection, which imo is fantastic) and the sillage is impressive. I’d say there is easily 8 hours of wear. 100 ml is 285$, but you can buy samples online.

Pulp - Juicy and Addictive!
This is my signature scent! My favourite of all time. Pulp is described as an "international fruit basket - a ripe, sweet, shapeless mass of fruit with an unruly, intense savour". It is the scent of fruit just past it's peak ripeness - ultra juicy and slightly sour. It is unbelieavble! It is my daily perfume. It has great staying power, but not a overbearing siliage. Only those who are very close to you will smell it. Even at the end of the day, I can still smell it on my wrists. It is a very juicy fruity scent, without the headache inducing sweetness that you might expect. It has notes of bergamot, cardamom, black currant, fig, red apple, tiare, cedar wood, praline, and peach flower and they are layered in such a complex way. I truly love this scent! It is very expensive, but I think its worth it! My bottle is almost done and I will 100% be repurchasing this fragrance! BYREDO - Pulp Eau de Parfum

My top 3 perfume awards
TOP3: BYREDO rose of no man's landBYREDO - Rose Of No Man's Land Top: Pink Pepper, Turkish Rose PetalsHeart: Raspberry Blossom, Turkish Rose Absolute Base: Papyrus, White Amber Jammy, but not heavy, rose. It has a slight brightness from the pink pepper but a green/sharpness from the papyrus and amber keeps it from being too sweet. The opening is pushed a bit with a touch of raspberry and pink pepper and the base is a simple dry paper papyrus wood with invisible support from amber. In the drydown the rose moves into the foreground. This rose is on the brighter side, friendly and nice; not very strong but rich enough. This is a simple but clean rose fragrance that reads very close and similar to the also excellent Rose de Taif by Perris Monte Carlo. Rose of No Mans Land has its own piece of slight perfection. I get moderate sillage, good projection and six hours of longevity on my skin. TOP2: Van Cleef & Arpels Néroli AmaraVan Cleef & Arpels - Neroli Amara Eau de Parfum The Collection Extraordinaire presents an emblematic material in perfumery: Neroli. Floral, green, and citrusy all at once, Neroli breathes new air into the Collection, making it more aqueous and botanical. The fragrance of Neroli Amara tells the tale of a princess’s love for her flower, Amara Orange Blossom. Exceptionally bright (but not sharp) and lovely neroli at the start, with an unusually rounded floral style and no hint at all of harshness or cheapness. Really unusually classy and nuanced stuff. It’s a lovely pear note (crisp and green, not cloying or overripe) but just too big and performing too loud compared with the rest of the lineup. Overall longevity about 6h and it remains classy, skewing slightly femme. I really love to use it in sunny days, especially in spring or summer. TOP 1:JO MALONE Wild bluebellJo Malone - Wild Bluebell Cologne Key Notes:Bluebell, Persimmon, White MuskVibrant sapphire blooms in a shaded woodland. The delicate sweetness of dewy bluebells suffused with lily of the valley, eglantine, and a luscious twist of persimmon creates a mesmerizing indulgence. Wild bluebell smells very fresh and clean. It has such a clean finish, not overwhelming at all. I love that it’s floral but still sophisticated. It’s the only scent I wear and my all time favorite. I really like that it’s subtle but smells amazing. But I do feel like it doesn’t last as long as I would like. lol

Valentine’s Gift To ME from ME
Valentine’s Gift To ME from ME
BYREDO - Burning Rose Burning Rose by Byredo is a delicious, thick scent. It’s floral, rich and dark. It is my favorite for stay-in pamper nights and spending some quality romantic time with moi. It’s one of the longest lasting candles I’ve had, and its size fits the Diptyque carousel I have, so double win! 🖤🥀

Favorite Luxury Perfume
Favorite Luxury Perfume
This is the Bal d’afrique perfume by Byredo. It is meant to be inspired by Paris in 1920 when there was a love for African culture there. The main notes in this are bergamot, lemon, neroli and African marigold. There’s also subtle jasmine, violet, black amber and Moroccan cedarwood. This is a scent that I love for day and night and feel like it transitions perfectly for both. It is fun but also has a class and maturity to it. It has a zest to it and also that hint of heavier scent of the black amber and cedarwood simultaneously. This brand is luxury so it’s a bit pricey but it lasts forever and this bottle is quite large and I’ve barely made a dent in it though I use this often so I think it’s worth the price point. It also isn’t too strong that it’s something I feel like I can’t wear to work. I definitely feel like this is an underrated scent by this perfume maker and can’t wait to see what they launch next! Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ BYREDO - Bal d'Afrique Eau de Parfum

Some items I have been loving
Some items I have been loving this week are the youthtothepeople Superberry Hydrate and Glow oil. Just stated this but wow it’s nice!! It’s one of the quickest sinking oils I have used and it’s got the nicest scent, it’s subtle but slightly sweet. The maelove The Glow Maker Antioxidant Serum. This is a 15% Asorbic Acid Serum and wow! Still early days but so far loving this serum, no reaction, nice consistency and sinks in after a couple of minutes. Love my fentybeauty gloss in Fu$$y, smells amazing and not sticky. I will never tire of byredo Bibliotheque. It’s a sweet musky fragrance that is like a comfort blanket for me.

A little Official byredo appre
A little Official byredo appreciation post on this Halloween night because I am literally obsessed with everything they create. I purchased the perfect fall perfume set I’ve ever found. The set has mojave ghost, super cedar, and black saffron. If you haven’t smelled these before...you’re really missing out. In place of my mojave ghost, I went for the Baudelaire scent which is new to me but an old scent byredo has carried. Also their candles...😍 Time for scary movies with my candles burning🎃🧡🔥
