Peripera Lip Tints for Warm Undertones
HONEST FEMME FINDS: Warm undertoned friends, this post is for you! I’m not a huge makeup user but lipsticks are my kryponite. A lip color and some gold hoops are just 💕. I’ve been using Peripera’s Airy Velvet Ink lip tints ever since that fateful day I discovered kbeauty in CVS (2017) and have only recently purchased their new INK line, a very similar update of colors. If you haven’t tried velvet tints, they are like the skincare of makeup. I love them because they feel so comfortable (despite finishing matte) which makes it so hard to go back to liquid lipsticks. Velvet tints don’t stay on as long (1-3 hrs if you’re lucky) but are always the first product I grab for an everyday lip! Age-old question: “how do you know if you’re warm undertoned”? Check veins on your wrist. If they appear green then you are part of this fam! My veins are wildly green, but some of you may have bluer veins (cool) or be in between (neutral). Of course this is allll arbitrary but a quick mental shortcut helps find shades engineered with this heuristic in mind! What lip colors suit warm undertones? The orange/coral/brick red/terra-cotta brown blends. Our pinks and nudes also look better with some 🍊, often what they call a “peachy nude or pink”. The following eight colors I’m mentioning are SIMILAR: you don’t have get them all to complete the color wheel! 🤍 = how often I use the tint peripera - Ink Airy Velvet Lip Tint 2017 OVERVIEW: Comes in a small bottle with a black twist off cap attached to a short lip wand. All tints from this line finish matte, but feels more liquidy than their new formulation. If you’re a lip licker like me, multiple reapplications may be necessary. #5 Elf Light Rose: Rose with coral/peachy notes. It’s one of the brighter roses I own but don’t hesitate to use! I use this a lot when wearing navy blues. 🤍 #6 It Brown Orange: Like the title, a red lip with orange undertones. The very subtle brown really helps mute the boldness. Probably the first thing I reach for an everyday lip. 🤍🤍🤍 #7 My Brown Coral: So similar to #6 I mix the two up. It’s maybe pinker, hence the “coral”. I don’t even care- I love them both.🤍🤍🤍 #8 Glimpse Bricke Brown: Literally your brick red lip but gentled by brown. I love this one for going out at night or when I wear black. 🤍🤍 peripera - Ink Matte Blur Lip Tint 2019 OVERVIEW: thicker, drier formulations in a thinner, longer tube. More pigmented. Still smooth but less so. #1 Goddess Beige: a peachy dusty rose with almost gray undertones. Out of the aforementioned, this is the most versatile for all undertones! Used often on a zoom call or work meeting. 🤍🤍🤍 #2 Vintage Ginger: similar to #1, but redder with some brown notes. More suited for warms. 🤍🤍 #5 Dusky Orange: probably the boldest Orange-red lip tint I’ve ever owned. A tiny bit goes a long way. 🤍 #15 Cinnamon Coral: a orange-y coral. Love it- reminds me of #6 and 7 from 2017 line. 🤍🤍🤍 🥂

korean lip tint: peripera ink velvet ♡
the ink velvet collection by peripera is one of the most well known lip tints out there. peripera is a well known korean brand and they come out will new colors almost every year. the color i have is called “beauty peak rose” which is #14 of the old collection and #15 of the new collection. the packaging i have is for the old collection but this color is still sold in the new collection! it’s a versatile lip tint that can be used casually or to be dramatic just depending on how you use it. peripera - Ink the Velvet look- i like using this lip tint in the center of my lips and spreading it for gradient lips (an ombre effect). since it is “ink velvet,” it is matte. it doesn’t dry glossy but it could make your lips look dry so make sure to moisturize your lips before hand or if you want a glossy finish, add a clear gloss on top. the color is very pigmented and lasts long so you don’t really need to reapply it during the day since it doesn’t smudge. there are a variety of colors you can choose from and they are all bright and bold but can be spread to be thin tints. use- this lip tint has a really nice scent for starters. it’s not a heavy formula and is comparable to a matte liquid lip stick. it’s liquid but also not runny which is good. the tilted applicator makes it easier to use and can hold a lot of product. the lip tint itself spreads nicely and is buildable. i’ll usually apply only a little and then spread it by dabbing with my finger and it’ll look very natural. a little of this product goes a long way so unless you want to have a full lip of it, you only really need a dash and then some spreading. one bottle is small and portable but can last you a long time. ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

Beautiful coverage!
#Peripera - Ink Matte Blur Tint[products]#[FourStars] I love this stuff! It has a very beautiful full coverage look. I’m giving it 4 stars only because it doesn’t last as long as I’d like it to. There are several colors to choose from and they also make a lip serum, as well as velvet tint.

5 Min Get-The-Look: Anna May Wong (AAPIHM Reel!)
As AAPI Heritage month nears an end, I wanted to do a quick tribute to the women of color, particularly Asian Americans, who paved the way in entertainment when Hollywood was an even unfriendlier place than it is today. Anna May Wong, born in Los Angeles in 1905 and gaining lead roles by the 1920s, is considered the first Chinese American movie star in Hollywood. After feeling boxed in playing stereotyped roles, Anna May Wong in her own way, found ways to rebel against the norms within her roles and was considered a fashion icon of her time. Hollywood, a new series on Netflix produced by Ryan Murphy, features a modified account of Anna May Wong’s life. Would recommend! (Actress Michelle Kruseic has the iconic thin brows and straight-cut bangs I was unwilling to get for this look lol.) While the platform for Asian Americans in beauty and media has become more accessible, there is much work to be done. With increasing cases of violence that the Asian-American and Asian diasporic communities have experienced globally as a result of Covid-19, it is important to check in with ourselves on how we can speak against these senseless acts. How can we be better as we continue to consume kbeauty, Japanese sunscreens, commercialized yoga, and jade rollers? I am so grateful for how positive this community on Cherie is and here’s to more days of uplifting each other so that skinfluencers of all skin types and beauty conventions get a voice! Love you all 💕. Cheers 🥂

“Naturally” Glowing Makeup
I was out and about today and decided to do a little look that was flashy but also easy to wear for myself in this summer heat. e.l.f. - Blemish Control Primer This primer works really well for my skin, which surprised me because it was on the cheaper side! Personally, I think it’s not feeding into my oily skin, but it also helps set my face and neutralize the natural redness I have. the CRÈME shop - "Holy Brow!" Eyebrow Trio With Brush + Spooley Medium This eyebrow kit is one of my favorites, even more so than using pens, simply because it allows for easy application. In addition to this, I never wax or thread my brows and prefer a more natural, bushy look and this kit helps me achieve that very well. PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Butter Highlighter The Butter Highlighter is a go to, I highly recommend! The formula is good and I also like to put highlighter on my nose in addition to my cheekbones and this product has a great luster that also blends well when softening on the face. COLOURPOP - Here We Glow Again This single shadow is great, but if you want to use it as a singular shadow you need to sort of lay it on thick. Use eyeshadow primer before application, and then set that with some pressed powder or neutral color so it has a good base to stick to. I like the NYX - Proof It! Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer for this. peripera - Ink Blackcara I’m so lucky to have found this mascara in my local drugstore (CVS), simply because it’s really reliable; sweat-proof and water-proof! It does its job well, but if you like more volumizing mascara this one’s not for you.

Full face of Korean makeup! ✨ #CheriePartner
Well, almost. Only thing I’m missing is a brow product so I used my trusted e.l.f. - Wow Brow Gel but for the rest of my face I used only k-beauty! Let me break down the look for you 💗 Let’s start with complexion products, today I used the touch in SOL - Pretty Filter Icy Sherbet Primer Touch in Sol makes one of my favorite primers, I bought their No Poreblem Primer on my first trip to Japan, the store had a small selection of K-beauty and the pretty bottle caught my eye not gonna lie! Then I learned is actually one of their best sellers! This gel primer claims to lock makeup in place, provide a cooling effect upon application and hydrate and prep skin before makeup. I have dehydrated skin and very mild rosacea, mostly on my cheeks so I’m always looking for something to combat the redness. This is such an innovative product in my opinion, the cooling sensation is incredible and really soothes my skin. An ingredient that also made it super interesting to me is the Sakura extract, I didn’t know but sakura is rich in essential fatty acids and helps protect the natural skin barrier. As my base I used the MISSHA - Glow Tension SPF50+ PA+++ cushion foundations are so cool. I love that you can use replace the foundation cushion when you’re out, but use the same compact over and over again. Cushion foundations are often lighter in coverage which is much more my style than higher coverage foundation, which I think are more common in western makeup styles. This cushion is formulated with collagen and hyaluronic acid to plump up skin and keep it looking radiant. It’s not cakey on me and lasts well throughout the day. My only gripe is the shade range, I use shade #22 Beige and it’s still a little ashy on me, also I think it’s a little too light for me, we’ll have to wait and see if it works better for winter! For blush I used the peripera - Velvet Cheek Blush these blushes are sooo cute! They look truly velvety on the skin and feel so soft on the pan, they’re super smooth. I used the shade 08 Appealing dry coral on both cheeks and lips. Next for eyes I used the ETUDE - Etude House Eyelash Curler and ETUDE - Dr.Mascara Fixer For Perfect Lash I tried the eyelash curler at the Etude House store in Harajuku and really liked it but when I went back to buy it they were sold out 😭 I ordered one off Yesstyle but it’s not as good as the one I tried there, it’s just ok. The star here is their Dr. Mascara Fixer tho! This is SO. GOOD. I have long but straight, stubborn lashes that don’t like to stay curled and this literally fixes them in place and my curl lasts all day. It also has fibers to lengthen and you can use it on its own or under mascara AND over mascara to make it waterproof. Also it’s like $5 💸 Lastly for shadow I used peripera - Ink Pocket Shadow Palette one of my favorite pink palettes!

Airbrushed blush 🍑
This is a creamy blush with a silky soft velvet texture and a translucent tinge of color. It’s such a lovely formula that feels literally like velvet. So easy to apply and blend with fingers or a stipple brush and has such a nice matte but not flat finish on the skin. One of my best recent purchases for sure! peripera - Velvet Cheek Blush

Look well-rested and glowy in 10 minutes! ✨
Okay so, I woke up at 2:00 am to watch my boys (BTS) perform live and although I had a great time and loved watching them on stage my face shows I got like 4 hours of sleep, so I thought this is the perfect time to show how to look like you actually got a healthy 8 hrs of sleep and looking fresh 😌 Let’s start with skin, I went with one of my favorite products to bring back light to my face. The ohii - Wake Up Pen reminds me of the infamous YSL Touché éclat, but it’s of course not as esspensive 😇 this universal highlight can be used as an eye brightened and on the high points of the face as good ol’ highlighter. It’s vegan, and perfect to fake that fresh-faced look I adore. After applying that I went in with my one and only DIOR - Forever Skin Correct Concealer I’ve raced about this so much, y’all know I love this. Next I used the ohii - Cheek Smudge in Flush to fake a rosy glow. This dewy blush is perfect to add glow and color to the cheeks. Flush is a soft rose pink that I think looks really cute on my yellow/neutral undertone. I love that this is very easy to build up, it doesn’t move my foundation or concealer and it looks super glowy and fresh. I also used the KALEIDO COSMETICS - Glow Balm - Lip & Cheek Jelly in watermelon on the high points of my cheeks to add more dewiness, I have swatches of this on another post if you wanna check it out! I did my brows with my favorite pen, the Lime Crime - Bushy Brow Precision Pen its the best brow pen I’ve tried, super easy to use! And also used the ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel I’m honestly not such a huge fan of this brow gel but I couldn’t find my Elf wow brow so I went with this. It leaves my brows looking too stiff for my taste. For mascara I used another favorite, the wet n wild - Mega Length Mascara this is such a lovely everyday mascara. It lengthens and lifts lashes beautifully, I have the waterproof version and it doesn’t smudge on me or flakes. It’s one of the best mascara I’ve used ever. And it’s less than $5. I also used my peripera - Ink Pocket Shadow Palette I cant recall the name of this quad right now, and it’s only written in Korean, but I used the bottom right shadow. Lastly, for lips I used the Kosas - Wet Lip Oil Gloss I like this because it looks really pretty on, it feels very conditioning and long lasting and I really love the scent. It smells like orange bread with vanilla icing to me, and it reminds me of my childhood so maybe it’s just the nostalgia factor that does it for me. I do think, however, that is a bit pricey for the amount of product you get. Kosas reasoning for this is that this is a lip treatment and a ‘gloss’ second, but I’ve found a similar product that is like $10 cheaper and performs about the same. And that’s that! #CheriePartner

Love this Peripera tints, they
Love this Peripera tints, they last really long on my lips and the colors are so intensive.. The airy velvet series is more matte but it spreads soooo smoothly and the gradient lips look is very easy to achieve with it ❤ One of them is from Moist series and I like it too! This gives more shiny finish. Overall I think those are really great and affordable products and I'm pretty sure I will buy more shades soon 😆😆 Here are the shades that I have currently: Ink The Airy Velvet #014 Rose Pink, Ink Moist #05 Soul Attack, Ink The Airy Velvet #03 Sold Out Red .

PeriPera Ink Airy Velvet Lip Tint
PeriPera Ink Airy Velvet Lip Tint
peripera - Ink Airy Velvet Lip Tint This Lip tint is as it sounds: a very airy, velvet, matte lip tint that feels lightweight on the lips. I was hoping this was going to be a more mauve sort of my lips but better shade, but it’s way more pink than I care for. I use it occasionally but I’d go with a different color next time. It does last for a a while but I’ve never really done a full wear test because I’m lazy with my makeup and as long as it fades naturally then I don’t care and I add lip balm. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Today is the launch of these peripera products now available at cvs_beauty. First up is their ink gelatos in 5 shades. These lip tints are extremely pigmented and lightweight on the lips. They wear so well and stay matte on all day even through food and drinks. I love the gel like texture they have and the applicator applies them so easily as well. Next up is their speedy skinny brow pencils in three shades. They are pigmented but I like that they aren't overly creamy where it's too hard to work with. These build up nice and look very natural, the brow pencil itself is slim and comes with a spoolie on the other end as most brow pencils do. The last products are my favorite the Ink skinny eyeliners, they come in 4 shades. My favorite has to be the Pink sugar. It's a beautiful shimmering pink shade. These eyeliners are so pigmented and creamy. They last all day in the waterline. Easy to use and glide right on, they are perfect for tightlining.

Do hydrocolloid (acne) patches work? 🤔
Do hydrocolloid (acne) patches work? 🤔
If you’re well versed in beauty then you probably have some pimple patches in your collection right now. But if you don’t know, then let me tell you about my favorites and why do I like them! These two are basically the same product, the STARFACE - Hydro-Stars just happen to be cuter and if you don’t mind having stars on your face protecting your pimples then these are perfect for you! Also the little case they come in makes them perfect for travel or to throw in your bag so you can have these on hand when you need to replace your patch (every 2-3 hrs). The peripera - Kitten Spot Care Patch is a lot more discrete, it’s practically invisible on the skin and they come in a variety of sizes for different sized pimples which is super convenient in my opinion and are the best pimple patches I’ve tried. Which one of the two I prefer? It just depends on how I’m feeling and if I’m going out, but I personally like the Kitten Spot Care Patches. They just seem to work best in my opinion, are very inexpensive and easier to walk out of the house with!

Peripera Pure Blushed Liquid
I am in love with these blushes! They are super affordable, blend wonderfully and look great in my medium skin. They are also a gift for my dry cheeks. While these might seem extremely pigmented they actually sheer out and give a beautiful glow from within without any shimmer or glitters. These blushes have a serum like consistency and perform great in top of both silicon or water based foundations. They have not broken me out and they remind me a lot of the new EM cosmetics Magic hour blush drops. I have been using these for over 7 months and I use them daily. They have many other shades but these two are my favorite!
