$49 vs. $9.90
Here is an example where I believe the Ordinaryās product is a real dupe! Both Pai & the Ordinary offer 100% cold-pressed organic rosehip oil. Except the Ordinary is selling 1oz for $9.90 instead of $49 you would pay for Pai.
Benefits of Rosehip Oil š¹
Rosehip oil is rich in Vitamin A. When used regularly it can deeply condition skin and improve firmness and elasticity. It has high concentrations of nutrients that promote regeneration overnight. Rosehip oil can be used for dry patches, dullness, fine lines, scars and sun damage.

The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil
I was gifted a Pai rosehip oil last year and used it nightly. It was my first experience with facial oil. I really liked how it moisturized my face in the winter and the promoted benefits of rosehip oil. When my bottle ran out I decided to purchase the Ordinaryās product, as they literally have the same ingredients! Rosa Canina Seed Oil. Pai claims their oil is packed with twice regenerative sterols and five times more carotenoids than the average rosehip oil.
Iāve been using the Ordinaryās Rosehip oil for the past two weeks and will say I canāt tell the difference between it & Pai. The only slight difference I noticed was the Ordinaryās had a little stronger scent, almost like a garden. But it absorbs quickly.

CLEAN BEAUTY - AM routine for dry/sensitive skin
I recently completely redid my beauty routine after finding out just how many terrible and harmful ingredients there are in many daily products.
Iāve been able to keep my regular routine of cleansing, exfoliating, toning, serum, eye cream, moisturizer and SPF but just swapped out for products that are clean.
Below are some good ones Iāve found so far. What are your favorite clean beauty products??
ļæ¼Cleanse: CAUDALIE - CAUDALIE Micellar Cleansing Water Love the smell and texture of this water. While a lot of micellar water instructions say no need to wash off, I like to splash a little warm water to prevent pore clogging.
ļæ¼Cleanse (only PM): pai - Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser + Cloth This cleanser truly is relaxing and leaves my skin feeling soft. It has a great texture and comes with an organic cloth to wash off.
ļæ¼Tone: NEOGENLAB - Re:P. Organic Cotton Treatment Toning Pad I just got these this week, but I like them because theyāre organic and donāt require cotton pads. On first couple of uses the smell was refreshing and left my skin feeling clean. Will see how they affect my skin moving forward. Another good toning option is DICKINSON'S - Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner which left my pores feeling tight, but I didnāt love the smell as much.
ļæ¼Serum: insta natural - Niacinamide Serum Iām really liking insta naturalās brand - theyāre affordable and the quality of the product is good. This serum is white and less sticky in texture than other niacinamides Iāve tried before. Iāve been using for a few weeks now and acne scars are faded but pores relatively the same
ļæ¼Eye cream: FARMACY - Cheer Up Brightening Vitamin C Eye Cream with Acerola Cherry Iāve been exploring Farmacy as a clean beauty brand. I like their packaging and ingredient combinations. Iāve been using this every day and itās pretty easy to apply. Not sure yet if itās having any effect but it didnāt cause irritation like other eye creams.
ļæ¼Moisturizer: #Beautycounter - Cocoboost Moisturizer[products]#[ThreeStars] Iāve heard great things about Beautycounter but I have to say Iām pretty disappointed with this moisturizer. For one, it still has phenoxyethanol which isnāt good for you. It also comes on with a white cast almost like sunscreen. It absorbs relatively quickly but Iāll likely swap it out of my routine
ļæ¼Face oil: SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil Love love love this face oil. The smell is so refreshing and calming and it doesnāt leave an oily shine at all. It sinks in and makes my face feel hydrated. I sometimes use this oil as my only moisturizer when itās not too dry out
ļæ¼SPF: babo BOTANICALS - SPF30 Clear Zinc Fragrance Free Sunscreen Lotion Iāve been searching for a chemical free SPF forever and really like this one!

paiskincare is a brand that I had been wanting to experience for a while
Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser - This is good for combination, dry, sensitive skin types, and even those with rosacea. I suffer from eczema patches on my cheeks every now and then and this has helped to reduce the redness when they appear. It also leaves my skin feeling like silk! It keeps my skin super hydrated which will be great for this winter. The cloth that it comes with really enhances the benefits of this cleanser and is conveniently hand washable! I got the biggest size that it comes in so it will definitely last me all fall and winter! š
.
Chamomile & Rosehip Calming Day Cream - This cream is mostly for those with dry/sensitive skin. Itās designed to soothe visible flare-ups and irritation while providing extra moisture to the skin. It has definitely helped with reducing redness and keeping my skin looking healthy. My only complaint is that it is a bit pricey! Other than that, it does what itās supposed to! š
.
Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil - This probably one of their most popular products (of course, I had to try it) and I am sure youāve seen or heard about it by now! It is formulated for all skin types and can be used after cleansing. You could also do what I do and add a few drops of it to the day cream for an extra boost! Rosehip seed oil really makes my skin glow, which is why I love it! I would recommend this oil if you havenāt tried a rosehip oil yet!

CLEAN Pai Chamomile & Rosehip Calming Day Cream
Paiās Chamomile & Rosehip Calming Day Cream is perfect for hydrating those with sensitive skin. The rosehip is known to combat redness in skin, as well as repair any blemish scars. This product is targeted specifically to those who are prone to irritation but want to calm their skin.
I do like this moisturizer. The texture is very smooth and the smell is pleasant, with notes of chamomile. The slight tint comes from the rosehip present.
I would recommend this product highly to those with dry skin, but not to those with active acne. The moisturizer can be a bit thick for breakouts. I tried it, but I do have too much acne currently to use it. I am also a bit too oily for it. I would prefer using their hydrating serum. The price is also decent for a clean moisturizer at $60 for 50ml. pai - Chamomile & Rosehip Calming Day Cream

I Tried 4 Vegan-Cruelty Free Cleansing Oils
Hey, Iām Kay. Iām a 27 year old female with skin as dry as the Sahara and as sensitive as a babyās bum. I have no idea what the heck Iām doing, but I thought it would be educational, if not, comical to document me finding my 100% ācleanā skincare routine.
Back story: I have eczema prone skin that cracks, peels and sometimes stings if I donāt feed it moisturizer every hour. I live in the Windy City of Chicago and that alone should explain why my face sucks. Oh, and did I mention Iām Vegan?! A Vegan, eczema, dry, sensitive baby bum here.
Welcome.
Step 1: Cleansing Oils
#1 BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Antioxidant Cleansing Oil $30 / 6.8 fl oz.
Biossance is a 100% Vegan-Cruelty free company, so naturally I had to try their products. This oil in particular is made with sugarcane derived squalane as opposed to shark liver extracted squalane! How ah-mazing is that!?
This oil has a very light smell, but removes my makeup without irritating my skin. Iāve been using this and the Tatcha one now for 3 months and I must say I love them both, but for the price point and same result...this is my first choice!
Fun fact: This product is vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free, and comes in recyclable packaging.
#2 TATCHA - Pure One Step Camellia Oil Cleanser $48 / 5.1 fl oz.
The holy grail and rightfully so! This oil is just wow.
(I know, Iām late)
This product has no smell (IMO) and melted my face & eye makeup away with ease and left no greasy residue behind like some of the other cleansing oils Iāve tried.
Honestly, If it werenāt for the almost $20 price difference; this for sure would be my #1!
Fun fact: This product is 1 of 15 Vegan products Tatcha has to offer. However, ALL products from Tatcha are Cruelty Free! š«š°
#3 pai - Light Work Rosehip Cleansing Oil $49 / 3.3 fl oz.
Holy Scent. This product is scented to the gawds.
After getting over the nauseating smell, I would say this cleansing oil actually performed pretty well. It removed my makeup and left my skin feeling the most hydrated afterwards. However, thatās pretty irrelevant to me being that this is a pre-cleansing step.
But, If youāre okay with spending extra moolah, engulfing rosehip oil and you wear heavy makeup. This might be for you!
Fun Fact: Pai is certified by the Vegan society & Leaping Bunny cruelty-free society.
#4 JULEP - Love Your Bare Face Cleansing Oil $22 / 3.5 fl oz.
What...the...heck
This product disappointed me more than my ex. Even worse, I didnāt see this one coming! The reviews online RAVE about this product, but for me, it couldnāt even take the makeup off of my hands, let alone off of my face!
Though this cleansing oil isnāt as scented as the Pai one, it definitely still has a moderate scent.
This one also left a greasy residue. Maybe it didnāt pair well with my foundation? Either way, āIssa no for me dawgā.
Fun fact: This product will NOT be receiving my coin again.

Pai Skincare
I have been enjoying this oil based cleanser from Pai Skincare. Itās very gentle on your skin and I use it as part of my evening routine. I always use this first as part of my double cleanse and after I will use another cleanser. I love how it feels and it does have a scent but itās a combination of all the scents from the oils that are in the cleanser itself so itās not a fragrance.pai - Light Work Rosehip Cleansing Oil

I know iām kind of late to the game with this one š I just got it two days ago... so far so good! It smells very rosehip-y but it sinks into the skin nicely - used it with a jade roller last night and loved the way it made my skin look.
Iāve been using it at night to wake up with gorge skin. Does anyone else notice that it kinda makes your face look orange when you first put it on? š¤§
pai-Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil
CLEAN pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil
Paiās BioRegenerate Oil is known in the clean beauty industry as the end all for redness and skin irritation. When people ask for a great starting serum, this single-origin serum is the answer. The omegas from the rosehip are calming and help restore homeostasis to the skin. Pai is also unique in its rosehip processing, utilizing every part of the plant. The bright orange/red serum does not have an oily feel and sinks in the skin quickly. It does smell strongly of omegas but that smell doesnāt linger.
As much as I wanted the serum to work for my skin, I didnāt notice any life changing effects and it left my skin very orange (hence the 3 stars). HOWEVER, I have many close friends who are obsessed with this product and never go a day without it.
I would absolutely recommend it, as Iāve seen great results in others. It is also a fairly inexpensive serum, often around $44 and can last 2-3 months with daily use.
