KISS - keep it simple, sweetie!
I wanted to share a “bare bones” routine. It’s a gentle routine to keep your face happy and hydrated. I also tried to pick a range of lower cost skincare products because I know many out there are either not working or working only part time and are struggling to make ends meet. STEP 1) huangjisoo - Pure Perfect Cleansing Oil This is a very gentle & effective cleanser. Breaks down my makeup & spf for easy rinsing away. It has a slight citrus scent that doesn’t bother me at all. $22 Amazon STEP 2) FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser this is great coming in as your second cleanse to wash away anything the oil might have missed. It’s very gentle so it won’t leave your skin feeling stripped. I took one star away for the scent. $28 STEP 3) The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Right here is where you want to add your HA. Make sure you add it to a DAMP FACE as you want to lock-in that moisture. $8/$12 STEP 4) The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% This is where you can start experimenting with treatments. Is your skin dull? Do you get breakouts? Blackheads? How about fine lines and wrinkles. Once you have something in mind, start SLOW! Test patch and then start 2-3 nights a week working your way up. Niacinamide has so many benefits & is “usually” tolerable by many. But you must start slow. $9/$10 —OR— Another option could be The Ordinary - Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% which I love to work with for its spot fading abilities $7. 90 Other choices The Ordinary - Marine Hyaluronics The Ordinary - 100% Organic Virgin Sea-Buckthorn Fruit Oil The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil OR look into The Inkey List! They will actually work with you to set up a skincare routine for your specific needs! STEP 5) IOPE - Derma Repair Cica Cream $28 on Amazon I absolutely love Centella in skincare. It’s super calming & has kept breakouts as well as redness at bay for both my daughter & I. This formula is a bit thick so a little goes a long way but it’s definitely one I reach for when my skin needs so extra attention. —OR— YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi is another option for you. I’ve come to love their line & feel they really work hard to maintain a respectable skincare line & keeping up to date with current affairs. This one retails at $58 STEP 6) it’s simple—-SPF! Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 this is a great lightweight option. Personally I feel SPF is like a foundation. You have to find the right one that works & feels comfortable for you. But I promise you, it’s not a conspiracy theory, WEAR YOUR SUNSCREEN! The future you will thank you! #CherieCreator
10-step Korean method
* Please know that this is NOT NECESSARY and I’m sharing as someone who has done a small amount of research regarding the topic. I personally refuse to go without a double cleanse, tone, mask treatments (3 times a week), treat, moisturize & SPF. __________________ The 10-Step is more than a routine—it's a lifestyle that has become a global phenomenon, grounded in Korea's cultural obsession with healthy skin and backed by decades of scientific advancement. * It's not about having more products than you can count, but rather about having the RIGHT products that do the right things, and using them in the right order. Having what works for YOU is important. Again, this is NOT necessary! 1) Remove makeup & sunscreen with an oil cleanser. I use a balm or an oil. I recommend huangjisoo - Pure Perfect Cleansing Oil 2) Follow up with a water based cleanser - INDIE LEE - Brightening Cleanser is one of my favorites. 3) Exfoliate - Do not exfoliate more than twice a week or you can damage your skin barrier. I have a few I enjoy YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Yerba Mate Resurfacing Energy Facial & The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution as well as TATCHA - The Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser 4) Tone - I personally love a good hydrating toner. Toners are great at removing any residue that may have been left from your cleanser as well as preps the skin to effectively absorb the products to follow. INDIE LEE - CoQ-10 Toner is one of my absolute faves as well as YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner 5) Essence - the right essences will be lightweight and packed with a blend of hydrating, anti-aging and complexion enhancing ingredients. Some of my faves are TATCHA - The Essence Plumping Skin Softener & CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Brightening Glycolic Essence Also this is when I’d add my HA The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 6) Treatments - this is where your specific needs come into play. From treating hyperpigmentation, dark spots, acne and fine-lines, this will be where you add those targeted products. Vitamin C, AHA/BHA serums, retinol...etc. Medik8 - Crystal Retinal CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Anti Dark Spot Serum and a good vitamin c are my must haves! Be sure to know what can safely be used together. 7) Mask - following the K-beauty method this is when they would add a sheet mask. I rarely sheet mask and use more topical masks. 8 - Eye cream - I personally don’t have any favorites. 9) Moisturize - Yes everyone should moisturize. Pick one that suits your skincare needs (no fragrances or essential oils) 10) SPF- EVERY SINGLE DAY!!! Let me know your thoughts regarding the 10-step method. #CherieCreator
A K-Beauty BANGER ‼️
I got this pack of 10 facial radiance pads from this K-Beauty brand I had never heard of before. After doing some research I found out that the founder started the company when her mom was struggling to find clean products to help with her eczema. I was worried these might dry me out or cause me to peel but they didn’t! I am shocked by how moisturizing these were. Each pad is nice and juicy so it doesn’t tug at your skin in any way. My complexion feels brighter with much less discoloration. Also my pores (on my cheeks specifically) are way less noticeable to me. While using this product I took a break from the Pixi Glow tonic and my dermatological treatment just to be safe. If I decide to repurchase I will likely only use these a few times a week so that I can continue to use my other products. huangjisoo - Sakura Peeling Radiance Pads

Huangjisoo Brightening Sheet Mask
I recently got this sheet mask by Huangjisoo in one of my Ipsy bags. It is intended for dullness, uneven skin tone, and dryness. I definitely struggle with these three issues in the colder months so I was excited to try it. It feels like any other sheet mask, full of serum. It also had a really nice fruity smell to it. It felt very soothing and fresh as it sat for a while. After I took it off, I rubbed the rest of the serum in as my moisturizer for the night. My face felt so hydrated and looked so refreshed! I really liked this mask until I couldn’t find it to buy it at Ulta or Sephora. I could only find it in five packs for $30 on the Huangjisoo website. Unfortunately, for this price, I would rather buy something similar from an Ulta or Sephora. I would give it a three star rating.
Let's have a closer look on these two cleansing foams from huangjisoo. Huangjisoo cleasers are based on sodium cocoyl apple amino acids - which is a natural and very mild detergent, derived from apple juice. They are EWG safe and crueltyfree. Moreover they are made with 99.5% natural organic ingredients. 🍏Anti-(skin) Trouble: this version is dedicated to people with sensitive, acne-prone and problematic skin. The star ingredients are: Chamomile Flower Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Horse Cheasnut Extract, Aloe - but actually the whole ingredient list is full of many different extracts. 🍎 Moisturizing: this version is dedicated for people with sensitive but also dry skin with damaged moisture barrier. Here, the star ingredients are: Wheat Seed Extract, Ceramides, Geranium Oil, Pomegranate Extract. And just like in the other versions, the ingredient list contains many, many different extracts and good-for-skin ingredients. In my opinion, both of these work similar on the skin - very, very gentle, leaving skin clean but not stripped (and even moisturized). I really enjoy using both, but I like Anti-trouble version a bit more, because I feel that my skin is more calmed after using this one. Overall, I find these cleansers one of the best I've tried and I think it's a great alternative if your skin is over sensitive and reacts badly to the regural, chemical detergents. I would definitely repurchase them (or try other versions) but I'm sure they will last ages since I really need 1-2 pumps to cleanse my face 😊
I am here today with a review of huangjisoo Cleansing Oil. . 💛 Ingredients: contains a blends of 8 botanical oils - apricot, jojoba, green tea seed, macadamia, evening primrose, pot marigold and olive oil, bitter orange leaf oil. Product contains 99.5% organic ingredients and has EWG Verified mark. 💛 Consistency & scent: well, no surprise, the consistency is typical for cleansing oil which emulsifies upon contact with water. The scent is a bit citrusy, but it's very delicate and pleasant. 💛 Performance: This cleansing oils is super effective in removing all the dirt, eye make up, sunscreen etc. I really love how gentle it is and doesn't sting my eyes. Leaves my skin clean and soft, but I follow with water based cleanser anyway. It didn't irritate my skin, clog pores nor cause breakouts. And the pump is very convenient to use! You can also lock the bottle to prevent any leakage during transport for example 💛 Bonus: Huangjisoo is a vegan and crueltyfree brand! Overall, I do think it's a decent cleansing oil with clean, safe ingredients. It really does the job while being gentle and light, making me wanna reach for it everyday!
