Mixing Lactic Acid with Niacinamide
Picking your Niacinamide: Choose products with at least four or five percent concentrations— which has been clinically proven to reduce pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles and acne and at five percent was found to improve redness and sallowness. Things to know when mixing Niacinamide and Lactic Acids: When you mix them together, the niacinamide will raise the pH of the acid; the higher the pH, the less the skin absorbs and the less effective the products. Another problem with mixing niacinamide and acid is that it can cause redness and flushing. Not a welcoming outcome when you’re trying to beautify your skin So how do you properly layer Niacinamide and Lactic acids? 1. Apply them at different point of the day Niacinamide is non acidic and can be used with other non acidic serums and lotions with little waiting/ absorption time. Include this water based treatment before oil based serums in the morning when you’re less likely to have time to wait. When using lactic acids it is usually recommended that you wait 5-30 minutes for the product to absorb into the skin before applying other serums and lotions— maybe this routine will better suit for night time or when you have more time to unwind. 2. Apply them 30 minutes apart This way, each product have time to absorb into the skin, give your skin time to return to its normal pH and allow each product to work at its intended pH. When layering products, start with products with the lower pH (acids), allow 30 minutes and follow with your higher pH serums like niacinamide. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% This is a great beginners Niacinamide that will give you great results for little to no cost. I personally use this twice a day and I find it significantly reduces an inflammation and really help with my breakouts. Clean product: 🌱No Parabens 🌱No Alcohol 🌱No Sulfates 🌱No Nuts 🌱No Oils 🌱No Silicones 🐰 Cruelty Free 🐰 Vegan Other niacinamide favs: Glossier. - Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Serum Thank you! Be kind and stay beautiful.

Good molecules serums
Been using this bundle for a couple weeks and I have formed enough of a impression to review it. Hylauronic acid- so I don’t think I’m a hylauronic acid person, it makes my face produce more grease because it just looks weird during the day and at the end, but hey if you’re looking to try out hylauronic then this is definitely a good way to try it’s a great price point too! Like $8 I think around there. Overnight exfoliating treatment- now I love this one especially after I wear a mask for 8 hours it does make my skin smoother and a bit brighter but you can only use it 2-3x a week and I wear a mask so often I need to exfoliate everyday I use that mask or my skin breaks out. Definitely would love if I could use it more often during the week but this was amazing I did like it a lot, worked great and was only like $12. I liked this more then the farmacy honey glow exfoliator. Niacinamide serum- I barely noticed a difference using this. My pores looked the same, I did use it before I put a mask on for work and my acne went down a bit but not enough for me to consider using is all the time. Didn’t improve my texture or anything like that but if you’re looking to try out a niacinamide serum I recommend this one. Again super cheap and it’s better to try out things when they don’t cost a lot to see if you like it or not then buying a $50 one and finding out it doesn’t really do anything. Overall it was a good set- nice and cheap just didn’t work for my skin particularly

Worth the hype? Best hyaluronic serum?
VICHY - Minéral 89 Face Serum It seems that everyone has been raving about this product and rightfully so. It is light weight and can easily incorporate into your day/ night skincare routine. This serum’s base is mineral rich volcanic water—89% to be exact, and contains “15 skin-loving minerals including iron, potassium, calcium, and manganese that work to moisturize skin, re-balance its pH, and protect against pollutants.” — Vichy Another bragging point, is that this product contains only 11 ingredients — clean, allergy tested, dermatologist tested , and Vegan. We all know what an amazing ingredient hyaluronic acid is for our skin—plumps and retain moisture. And this product does just that. It’s so simple and I would definitely recommend this for friends that have very sensitive skin. The only set back about this brand (in general) is that I’m not 100% sure of their cruelty free status. According to their site they do not test on animals but it seems that they currently sell/ market their products in China — which requires animal testing. Maybe this is old news? And if not, hopefully one day that’ll change. So I use it and love it with hesitation and I’m not sure if I would repurchase after I finish the bottle. Maybe I’ll change my mind- who knows. If that (cruelty-free status) is not a factor when you buy/ use cosmetics than go for it! It is $30 and it’s super accessible- available on Ulta*, CVS, Walgreens, Vichy.com, Skinstore.com. If you find yourself on a budget, get it at CVS. There’s always a sale and of course coupons. ** Ulta has them in 3 sizes. Here are some hyaluronic acid serums that are confirmed 🐰cruelty-free: THE inkey LIST - Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum GOOD MOLECULES - Hyaluronic Acid Serum The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Please share your favorites below. Thank you. Be Kind, Stay Beautiful

First day of school!! My last semester 🎉🎉
I never thought I would be comfortable going to class without makeup, but I’m so glad I don’t feel the need to wake up early and put it on anymore. Don’t get me wrong, I still very much love makeup but it’s a chore getting it off properly! I felt the need to share that it is officially my first day of class in my very last semester of college!! 🎉🎉 (I say like I’m not planning on going back because I hate my degree) We’re gonna be rolling into Marketing Strategy with second day hair, brow gel, and some mascara and that’s it! Sadly, I actually have to attend an in-person lecture, but it’s the only one. I also thought that I might as well share the new routine AM: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Lipikar Wash Ap+ Gentle Foaming Moisturizing Wash I gave this 4 stars because while it says fragrance free it has a strong citrus scent and burns the eyes, but it is definitely moisturizing and doesn’t strip the skin peach slices - Snail Rescue Blemish Busting Toner I accidentally got this too close to my under eye and it dried it out GOOD MOLECULES - Hyaluronic Acid Serum pretty nice, pretty standard VANICREAM - Lite Lotion DERMA•E - Scar Cream Sun Protectant SPF 35 PM: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Lipikar Wash Ap+ Gentle Foaming Moisturizing Wash *a little pea size amount of tretinoin* GOOD MOLECULES - Hyaluronic Acid Serum VANICREAM - Lite Lotion CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream I apply both moisturizers at night because my skin tends to dry out over night due to me keeping a fan going at all times My skin is a getter drier as the days go by, as expected, because my Accutane dosage has been bumped up and just due to the colder temperatures

Goodies from Good Molecules
I am sooo skeptical when trying out skin care products. I saw so many good reviews on this brand so I decided to try. I only been using these products for 3 weeks and I am shook!! They are really good products and they actual work. Let’s start off with my favorite product so far GOOD MOLECULES - Discoloration Correcting Serum My dark spots have faded soooo much. I can’t believe it’s not even a month and it’s doing the damn thing. I haven’t had a pimple n a few months after clearing my acne and once the pandemic began I have been getting maskne. I would say 1-3 pimples a month. I have been using this serum in my AM/PM routine and once my pimple heals there is no mark left behind. If you have a hyperpigmentation you will love this! It’s key ingredient cetyl tranexmate mesylate is what helps even out the skin. It also has niacinamide, and is fine to use with Vitamin C. GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner I been on a hunt for a good toner and I think this is the one!! This is a toner is sooooo good! It has vitamin C ,abrutin, and licorice root extract which helps brighten the skin. I think it works really well with the discoloration serum. Being that my dark spots have faded so much I know these two products will leave no dark spot behind 🙌🏼🙌🏼 GOOD MOLECULES - Pineapple Exfoliating Powder This is a very gentle exfoliator. It doesn’t irritate my skin in any way. After using my skin looks so nice and smooth and I see a glow. It truly brightens the skin and doesn’t leave it feeling dry. After using I follow up with the toner, then discoloration serum. This exfoliator can be used up to 4x a week and a little goes a long way. GOOD MOLECULES - Overnight Exfoliating Treatment This is a pretty good exfoliating treatment. I only gave it 4 stars because I haven’t used it much. I use tretinoin at night and it shouldn’t me mixed with this treatment. So I do try to use at least 1x a week. I can say its pretty good. It’s very gentle and does not leave my skin feeling dry or irritated. Have you guys used these products or anything from Good Molecules?? If so what have you tried and how do you like them?

Found a picture of my 1st skincare collection
I was going through my pictures this morning and I found the picture I took of the very first skincare products I ever bought. I had masks etc. before this but this was the very beginning!! The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution I love this toner! It really does help with the texture of my skin and the price point is awesome with the amount you get! The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser When I first used this wash I really loved it! Now that I have tried many others, I don’t love it as much but it’s not the worst cleanser by any means. GOOD MOLECULES - Hyaluronic Acid Serum This is a very great HA serum and another one at a great price point! The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG I have seriously bad eye bags because I never sleep well, this serum does reduce them but I’ve recently found other products that are even better. My husband uses this for dark circles and there has been no difference. GOOD MOLECULES - Overnight Exfoliating Treatment This is a super gentle chemical exfoliator, if TO serum is too strong for you, give this one a try. You definitely wake up with much softer skin! The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution The cult favorite and I love it! It works and does everything it says! Definitely be safe with this one. No more than 2X a week. The Ordinary - Matrixyl* 10% + HA I cannot RAVE about this enough!!! This serum is the one that seriously reduced my deep forehead wrinkles. This is definitely one you should try if you are trying to reduce the appearance of yours! GOOD MOLECULES - Squalane Oil This is a perfect addition to your routine if you struggle with dry skin and are trying to use things that are anti-aging. Plus it’s amazing on lips too!! GOOD MOLECULES - Vitamin C Booster Powder I know there are mixed reviews on the do it yourself powders but I actually really love this one. As long as you mix it well into a water-based serum it’s awesome and you can skip a step in your routine. These are all really good products especially for a skincare beginner! If you have any questions about these let me know! ❤️

👀 GOOD MOLECULES - EYE .... DONT KNOW 👀
I’m back to give you my thoughts on the GOOD MOLECULES - Caffeine Energizing Hydrogel Eye Patches As I’ve said before, I really think eye patches are more for self pampering than anything else. Which I honestly have no problem with, the experience is relaxing and gratifying enough for me that I’m not driven by getting shocking results. I really prefer to buy them in these big containers because I think the single use packs are create so much garbage, it’s simply to wasteful for me to enjoy. I love that these patches have lots of serum, and come with a little spoon the remove them from the jar. They serum is chocked full of great ingredients like Niacinamide, Caffeine, Aloe Leaf Juice and Green Tea Extract. The sensation is cooling and soothing, I do feel like my eyes are less puffy after I use these. The one negative with these is I find you have to rinse the serum off your face after or it pills up. I find it weird that it doesn’t all soak into your face.. idk. You definitely have to be careful that you have rinsed all the serum off if you are applying makeup after using these or else your face with honestly be pill city lol. I might try the pixi - DetoxifEYEpatches next, do any of you have a great eye patch reco?

Good Molecules Cyber Monday Haul 🧬🖤
I’m a little late with this but I wanted to post my Good Molecules Cyber Monday haul! I also bought that cute mini fridge but it hasn’t shipped out yet. Did anyone else pick that up? 🙋🏻‍♀️ For my haul I stocked up on some favorites and some new products. The two favorites I picked up were the GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner and the GOOD MOLECULES - Pure Cold-Pressed Rosehip Seed Oil . If you’re going to use a toner I highly suggest this one! It doesn’t have any stripping ingredients most toners on the market contain. It has niacinamide, licorice root extract, and hyaluronic acid to bring moisture into the skin as well as help hyperpigmentation. It’s a complete game changer when it comes to a routine. I’m also a huge fan of their rosehip oil. It is a lot smaller than The Ordinary but something about it feels better/absorbs better on my skin. The new products to me are the GOOD MOLECULES - Instant Cleansing Balmand the GOOD MOLECULES - Vitamin C Booster Powder(which comes with a scoop!). I’m a HUGE cleansing balm fan and this has been on my list for forever. I also really appreciate the tin it comes in. I also wanted to incorporate vitamin C into my routine but I know how unstable it can be so I thought a powdered form would be a good option.

What is your Top 5 for 2020?
I think we can all agree that this has been a tough year. But, that being said, I used my time in quarantine to totally change my approach to skincare. Turning 41 this year, I know what aging does to my skin and I’ve learned so much through research about the best ways to fight it. The other huge thing I learned this year... you don’t always have to spend hundreds to find what works. Thanks to the new beauty market, there are amazing tools available and accessible to anyone of any budget. Finally! But this post isn’t about budget. This post is about the absolute best products that I fell in love with this year and intend to keep around forever! #5 - it might be at the bottom of the list, but DERMA•E - Anti-Wrinkle Renewal Cream is my staple and one of the greatest loves of my life. Having combination skin, it’s really hard to find an amazing moisturizer that does the work I need but doesn’t create an oil slick on my face. This inexpensive and unassuming night cream is not only clean, but contains both retinol and bakuchiol... as well as allantoin and B5. Less than $15, available at Target, and the most effective product I’ve ever used for soft, smooth, grease-free skin. #4 - I never understood the benefits of facial oils until I found GOOD MOLECULES - Pure Cold-Pressed Rosehip Seed Oil this year. Holy wow. What a difference it makes. If you like soft and younger looking skin, spend the $6 and make this the last step in your nighttime routine. I never totally understood that rosehip oil is really retinol light. It encourages cell turnover and creates the most amazing texture of skin. #3 - Likely the most overlooked active in The Ordinary’s line, the The Ordinary - Pycnogenol 5% is a must have! Does it smell terrible? Yes. Is it easy to overdo and create greasy skin? Yes. But does it revolutionize your skin and it’s youth? Also YES! A little goes a long way. I use two drops in the morning and three at night, just before applying my moisturizer. It’s honestly made a world of difference in brightness, clarity, softness, and fine lines. #2 - One word, complicated definition: epigenetics. It’s pretty fascinating and I didn’t totally understand it at first. I stumbled upon StriVectin - Wrinkle Recode Line Transforming Melting Serum by mistake. It’s the only product in my entire top five over $20. But what an incredible act of serendipity this mistake was. It smells and feels like VapoRub... but you’ll not only see immediate results in deep and fine lines, even your hands look better just from applying it. It really is an amazing product. And of course, my #1 is probably everyone else’s #1 for this year. The mighty The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution . I don’t think I need to elaborate much on it. I’ll just say, if you’re not using it, you probably should. It’s beyond phenomenal.

Super What? Let’s Talk About Superfoods for Skin
“Superfoods” aren’t just for eating. They can have benefits for your skin, too. Generally speaking, superfoods in skincare are items that provide a healthy dose of antioxidants, are nutrient-dense, provide hydration, & fight environmental irritants. Common superfoods included in skincare are berries, healthy fats (like avocado & olive oil), honey, green tea, greens (like kale), and fruits (like papaya & pomegranate). I personally love the superfood trend - there’s nothing I dislike! My super dry skin loves the added moisture & nourishment. Here are some items in my collection that feature superfoods: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser This cleanser contains kale, spinach, green tea. The greens contain vitamins C, E, & K, and green tea to help fight signs of aging. This cleanser lathers minimally and easily cleanses my face of any leftover makeup/SPF residue without leaving my dry skin feeling stripped. It does smell like greens, but the smell doesn’t stick around post-wash. I’ve finished a 2oz mini before and purchased a set from YTTP that contained another 2oz. I like it and would repurchase a full size. $36 8oz, $10 2oz FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum This AHA/BHA/flower exfoliating serum is awesome for dry skin thanks to honey. Honey has antioxidant properties and is also a humectant. This PM serum gently exfoliates, moisturizes, improves hyperpigmentation, & can improve texture & fine lines over time. I don’t use this often because I tend to have stubborn dry patches and irritation that make using chemical exfoliation unwise, but generally will use 1-2x every 2 weeks. Other skin types can use this more frequently. Mine’s almost empty and I will repurchase. $58 GOOD MOLECULES - Pineapple Exfoliating Powder This powder exfoliant contains pineapple, which is known for its fruit exfoliating (chemical) and vitamin C properties, and rice powder (physical exfoliant). It claims to reveal brighter, fresher skin post-use. You simply dispense some powder, add water, mix, and apply to your face. More water = more lather & less exfoliation. Love that it is customizable like that. It does smell kind of weird, like wet paper. I do feel that my skin looks brighter after use. Would repurchase. $16 cocokind - Watermelon Hemp Oil This contains watermelon (antioxidant, linoleic acid) and hemp (fatty acids) to nourish, hydrate, & reduce moisture loss. It’s a multipurpose, relatively lightweight, herbaceous-smelling oil that can use used for hair, skin, & body. I use it on my face in the PM 1-2x/wk and occasionally add a drop or 2 to unscented hand lotion when my hands are feeling dry. This does contain rosemary, orange peel, and eucalyptus extracts, so if you don’t like/can’t tolerate those I would avoid this. Mine was sent as PR by the brand, but I have purchased other things from them. Would repurchase. $14 #CheriePartner

This or That? - Affordable Cleansing Balms
One thing that has helped my skin a TON is “Double Cleansing”! It involves going in first with a cleansing balm, cleaning oil, makeup wipes or micellar water which help break down all the dirt, makeup, SPF🧴and impurities that accumulate on the skin throughout the day. This is followed by a water-based 💦cleanser! Cleansing Balms are solid cleansers that melt with your natural body warmth in the palm of your hands👋 Two Cleansing Balms I have used and absolutely enjoyed are: GOOD MOLECULES - Instant Cleansing Balm VERSED - DAY DISSOLVE Cleansing Balm 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗺 It’s packaged in a jar and comes with it’s own spatula which i think is ‘a thoughtful💭touch’. It’s also easy to rinse and does a good job👍🏻 in removing most kinds of makeup keeping skin feeling softer and cleaner without leaving any greasy residue. It contains Shea butter plus other non-fragrant plant🌱oils which gives your skin a very soft feel. Just bear it mind that this balm also contains fragrant geranium and ylang ylang oils which can irritate skin and eyes. This balm comes in one size (2.5oz) retailing for $15 and is available on Beautylish and Good Molecules. 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗩𝗘 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗺 I have to say.. I think the pink💖packaging of this one is super cute☺️and its recyclable too which is fantastic! The jar is a good size, however, the spatula is not included which makes it a little inconvenient to use if you don’t already have a spatula at hand. The formula includes eucalyptus and clove leaf🍃oil so sensitive skin users be mindful because it can be a little too strong and irritate your skin! A tiny bit of this balm is enough to break down makeup like a champ💪🏻and you may experience a little eye fogginess initially which usually fades away in a few minutes. The balm can be bought at Target or on Versed and retails for $17.99 (2.3 oz) and $7.99 for the mini (1 oz) What kind of first cleanse do you use? Tell me in the comments! 💋 #cheriepartner

Dermalogica vs. Good molecules
Dermalogica vs. Good molecules
dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator This exfoliating is good and does the job but the price is way too high and it comes with only that much. It is such a good product but there are cheaper alternatives for this product that work the same if not even better. GOOD MOLECULES - Pineapple Exfoliating Powder This exfoliating powder is literally the same if not even better than the Dermalogica one I have noticed the difference and my face feels a lot smoother. I also noticed that I haven’t gotten any dry patches the next day which is good when I used the Dermalogica one I have dry patches the next day ( nothing to crazy just little ones here and there) the reason this gets a four star instead of five is because I really hate the smell of it but it just works so amazing and gentle on my skin. Overall, they are both good products but I would go to the good molecules one because it’s much cheaper and has benefiting and non harmful ingredients.

Good Molecules is always comin
Good Molecules is always coming out with innovative new products. What’s innovative about a bar of soap you ask? Most bars strip the skin. This one is a soap-free formula that doesn’t strip the skin of essential moisture. It removes makeup while clarifying and detoxing your skin. Great for all skin types! *gifted by brand with no strings attached

Good eye patch
Good eye patch
This is my first time trying out the GOOD MOLECULES - Caffeine Energizing Hydrogel Eye Patches I like the packaging. It comes in a small twist lid container with a spoon to help lift and separate the patches. Keeps it simple - easy to store and easy to travel. Personally, I like the slimy serum. There’s plenty of it, so when I don’t have time to do a 10 min eye patch I can just swipe some serum off the top and dab under my eyes. The patches were slightly oversized for my face but not unmanageable by any means. They do slide around a bit for the first few mins but start to adhere to my face as the serum soaks into my skin. My fave part about these is NO FRAGRANCE! However, I do wish the serum was a tad more hydrating. This will do fine in the summer, but my winter skin needs more hydration than this will provide. I don’t have much puffiness or dark circles on a daily basis so I mostly use these for when I have a crappy nights sleep. They do the trick!

Caffeine Energizing Hydrogel Eye Patches
GOOD MOLECULES-Caffeine Energizing Hydrogel Eye Patches
the best toner for my pores & acne!
the best toner for my pores & acne!
Despite being one of my favorite products, this brand has been in some negative light lately after they failed to address Black Lives Matter appropriately in the skincare community. I wanted to share my thoughts regardless, as they have publicly apologized and made efforts to rectify their mistakes. I have sensitive, acne-prone skin. Combo type as well as rosacea. GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner Claims: —Promote bright, even skin — less visible pores — alcohol-free — works to reduce the appearance of dullness, uneven skin tone, and enlarged pores. Key Ingredients: — Niacinamide — Cocoa — Licorice Overall thoughts: — Broke me out initially, and breaks me out if I use more than 3x a week. — reduces my number of breakouts overnight, and significantly brightens my skin. — my pores are more refined, and even when I use this! — best used on a cotton round, and in my pm routine. — gentle for sensitive skin, as long as I don’t overuse. — I can see a difference in my dark spots as well, and an improvement in number of breakouts for the future. — $14, pretty busted for the price!

Good Molecules Overnight Exfoliating Treatment
Good Molecules Overnight Exfoliating Treatment
The Good Molecules Overnight Exfoliating Treatment has been in my routine a few nights a week for the last 2-3 months. This product is an AHA/BHA serum targeted at gently exfoliating your skin while also helping to keep pores clear. This product seems to target many things for me including dullness, skin texture, acne marks, active acne, and pore size. The texture of this product is a clear, thick serum that feels a little more like a gel than a water based serum, but it applies very smoothly and evenly. It has no scent at all when it applies and it absorbs moderately quickly. It causes mild tingling that lasts about 10 seconds for me but it subsides quickly and doesn’t cause any painful stinging. The results I have seen from this have been good. My skin looks brighter and the texture on my forehead has greatly improved. I also feel that the pores on my nose have remained small due to this product. Acne marks on my cheeks have began fading with the exfoliation so I’ve been happy using this. Good Molecules retails this for $6 on Beautylish which is an absolutely amazing price. It works well, has no extra frills, and works with almost any budget. I will continue to repurchase this because I feel it has worked so well for my skin. I think anyone looking to overall improve their skin should try this because it has so many potential benefits. And if it doesn’t work, it was only $6!
