Yes dear, cleaning our brushes is crucial to prevent breakouts from bacteria and dust that may settle. I don’t wear makeup super often, so I usually do a deep (detergent) clean about once a month. For this I use a Brush Pad, that I got from the local drug store for about $15 CAD. It’s perfect for getting all the pigment out, without having to manually get both of your hands involved. Instead you just swirl the brush on the appropriate “gentle spikes” until the pigment comes out. I usually wash mine in warm water with organic dish soap. What’s your go to brush wash? In between the washes, if I need to use the same brush to pick up three different pigments in a makeup sesh, I’ve recently found the Shadow Switch makeup brush cleaner, which I found at Winners for about $10 CAD. It’s a sponge and all you have to do is swirl your brush a few times until the pigment embeds itself into the sponge. It’s actually amazing, I will post a video of this!
