My top 3 products for GLOWY skin ✨
These 3 have been my ritual for hydrated, glowy, happy, healthy skin !!💦☺️💗 It all starts with creating a smooth canvas... BIOLOGIQUE RECHERCHE - LOTION P50 PIGM 400 This product truly keeps my skin happy. It has evened out my texture, closed comedones while brightening! This formulation is targeted at brightening and its main ingredient is niacinamide follow by some AHAs + BHAs🌼 Then something to brighten dull skin... MAELOVE - Glow Maker My favorite Vitamin C product to date!! You truly notice the difference within days of use and it has lightened up some tough dark spots. I love the watery formula as it allows for a really smooth and luscious application. It features Vitamin C + Vitamin E + Ferulic Acid and Hyaluronic Acid for a boost of hydration. Plus the price can’t be beat 😝 Finally a moisturizer to lock all the magic in... FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya The glow this moisturizer gives you cannot be beat! You will wake up in the morning with your pores seemingly filled and an appearance of really smooth skin. I love wearing this during the day time too for a subtle dewy no make up look. The ingredients I’m excited about are Niacinamide, Sodium Polyglutamate and 4 types of Hyaluronic Acid!! Not to mention is smells heavenly 🪴

I’m Thankful for the Morning Glow
ESSENCE: SK-II - Facial Treatment Essence (Pitera Essence) I’ve been using this for years, I get it when I’m at a layover in Hong Kong or Korea so I get it significantly cheaper. However have I noticed anything? No. Nothing bad, nothing good. It is basically fermented rice for over $200. I have found so many dupes I’d like to try! NEOGENLAB - Real Rerment Micro Essenceor MISSHA - Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence Rx I are said to be better products for a fraction of the price so I will be buying when I run out!!! Fermented ingredients are wonderful for brightens, refining pores, hydration, improving texture, and is full of beneficial enzymes and peptides VITAMIN C: MAELOVE - Glow Maker Everyone needs vitamin c, and this is very reasonably priced, has a great formulation with vitamin E and ferulic acid, non sticky, and just disappears into the skin. TIP: Put in the refrigerator. I found that oxidising is just the nature of ascorbic acid, so this will prolong the life of your product! CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream I thought this would be too heavy, especially in the daytime. Nope! You can apply a little or a lot, it has Ceramides and totally does the job of moisturising and protecting that skin barrier, especially if you exfoliate a lot or use tretinoin. Do buy the one with the pump though! Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Liquid Sunblock Broad Spectrum SPF 70 I love this because it’s super lightweight and rubs in so quickly! It does not pill, and I’m all for inexpensive sunscreen because you need A LOT. Ignore influencers who use a “pea size amount”. Not for sunscreen!!!! Slather it on!! Great sunscreens from Neutrogena are also Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Sunscreen SPF 50 and Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen SPF 55 . Dying dying dying to try PURITO - Centella Green Level Safe Sun!!! ✨✨Keep glowing!!✨✨

Winter Routine for DRY Skin
My cheeks have been SO dry lately. It’s been a struggle to keep my sensitive combo skin hydrated with the change in weather. I’ve thus made a couple swaps from my summer routine to keep my skin moisturized and not flakey. 🌬I swapped my trusty jojoba oil in the morning for a light application of Dr. Jart+ - Ceramidin Cream (I use about half the amount I use at night- just enough to get an even layer) 🌬I went back the old CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser from their new CeraVe - Hydrating Cream-To-Foam Cleanser . Although I like the new version better, I just need every scrap of hydration I can get right now. 🌬Lastly, I recently started applying a thin layer of Aquaphor - Aquaphor Healing Ointment over my cheeks at night (post on this coming soon!) In short, my routine is now: 🌤 rinse, hydrating toner, moisturizer, spf 🌙 double cleanse, moisturizer*, ointment as needed *I swap my Ceramidin for MAELOVE - Night Renewer 2x / week

Woman-Owned Small Businesses
I made a post a while back on conscious consuming and on how I’ve recently been more intentional in the businesses I support. That post had a more eco-conscious angle, but I want this post to focus on some fabulous companies founded and independently owned by women. See below for the deets on the woman-owned skin and hair care brands I currently have in my stash (* represent companies founded and owned by women of color): 🌻 Maelove* - founded and run by Jackie Kim. She utilizes AI and a team of MIT researchers to create her affordable but effective skincare line. I’m loving their MAELOVE - Night Renewer and can’t wait to get my hands on their MAELOVE - The Hydrator B5 Gel for both hydration and antioxidant protection. 🌻 Ethique - founded and run by Brianne West. This New Zealand-based bar company covers all your hygiene and cleansing needs with absolutely no waste and is a certified B Corp. I’m currently using the ethique - Eco-Friendly Heali Kiwi Shampoo Bar For Touchy Scalps bar and it’s eliminated all my flakes and itchiness! 🌻 Bounce Curl* - founded and run by Merian Missmo. She formulates every product herself and uses Middle Eastern Nigella Sativa oil as her secret ingredient. I recently bit the bullet and bought her famous Bounce Curl - Light Hold Creme Gel and will be writing a review on it soon. 🌻 Kinship - founded and run by Alison Haljun and Christin Powell. These two bring experience from Juice Beauty and Benefit to this accessible and eco-conscious skincare line. I’ve only used their KINSHIP - Self Reflect Probiotic Moisturzing Sunscreen Zinc Oxide SPF 32 , but it is a key product in my morning routine. It soothes my irritable skin and gives it a gorgeous glow, while protecting it with a non-nano Zinc UV filter. 🌻 Rizos Curls* - founded and run by Julissa Prado. So I haven’t tried any of their hair products as they look a little heavy for my hair type, but I really wanted to support a Latina brand so bought this bomb Jefa pin and their comb 😍 🌻 MamaP* - founded and run by Suzan Hernandez. Picked up this bamboo toothbrush at a CO-OP in Maine. 2% of proceeds from the different brush styles go to a different organization, from Save the Bees to LGBTQ+ advocacy groups. My green and black brush raised funds for mental health support. 🌻 Radius - although Radius was founded by men, it’s now owned and operated by the co-founder’s daughter, Saskia Foley. Radius makes ADA-Approved and BPA-free dental products that are all low to zero waste. Best thing is their RADIUS - Usda Organic Floss is available at my local Wegmans for the same price as mainstream competitors! On my wishlist: My Topicals* - founded and run by Olamide and Claudia. Their mission is to remove the stigma associated with chronic skin conditions like eczema and they donate a portion of profits to mental health organizations. Can’t wait to try TOPICALS - Like Butter Hydrating Mask

New purchases 🍑🍙🍯
I’ve finally run out of most of the products I got 6ish months ago from yesstyle. After years of problematic skin, I decided to try out Korean et al., skincare. After seeing results in real time, there was no turning back. Here are the few, new products I ordered. So far, I am loving everything. The maelove serum, I reviewed it a couple weeks ago, and I have to say, with continuous use, I’m seeing a difference with my skin! I’m hoping that the above products will augment that difference. Let me know if any of these products interest you for a detailed review :) unfortunately the neogen sunscreen is not taggable. Honestly I got it on a whim, has anyone else used it? Hm, but since it’s a chemical sunscreen, and I am pretty prone to irritation, maybe I should opt for a mineral sunscreen? I’m not sure — there are so many differing info out there! Do you guys have any thoughts about this?

My Recent empties for my Acne Prone Skin🤩
I wrote previous on my page about how I have struggled with hormonal acne breakouts since the birth of my two children. It’s been an on-going battle for the past 9 years to fix and save my skin. I feel like I have found some great products over the past 3 months and I wanted to share with you some of my recent #emties!!!! 🤩 MAELOVE - Glow Maker MaeLove is a Indy brand that I became obsessed with a few moths ago after watching YouTuber Liah Yoo (shout out💁🏻‍♀️) review them. Glow maker is by far my favorite Vitamin C serum. I use this in the morning after my toner and it brightens my skin and absorbs quickly with out leaving that sticky feel *that I hate *🙅🏻‍♀️ which a lot of other vitamin C’s that I have tried in the past leave behind. The price point is not bad either and the shipping is eco conscious and plastic free which I love. 💕 MAELOVE - NIA 10 Calming Serum Ahhhhh, this hurts my heart so bad because I love most of MaeLove’s products, but this has to be my least favorite out of the brand. I didn’t see much benefit from this product and have found other niacinamides that I like much better.. like Paula’s Choice clinical and naturium. Also, just because it didn’t work for my skin doesn’t mean that it won’t work for yours. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Adapalene Gel .01% Topical Retinoid Acne Treatment AGAINNNNN, La Roche Posay hits it out of the park for me. This retinoid treatment, which you use to need a prescription for, helped to heal my stubborn acne bumps and blackheads. It’s also at a pretty reasonable price point and you can pick it up at certain drugstores. It’s a gel consistency and I use it as a spot treatment on my breakouts. I will DEFINITELY be repurchasing this. primera - Black Seed Cold-Brew Serum I highly recommend this product as well. It goes on smooth and absorbs right in to the skin. I usually use this at night.. because I try to minimize the amount of serums I use in the morning. The reason I gave it 4 instead of five stars is because the price point. I found another serum I’m testing out right now that is slight cheaper that I will posting about soon. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Ultra Night Cream for Sensitive Skin This has to be my favorite product out of the bunch! The creamy consistency goes on my skin effortlessly. I put this on last after my Serums and I wake up to baby smooth skin. I don’t know what it is about this brand but just about every product I have purchased from them works really well with my dry acne prone skin.

MAELOVE - MAELOVE Body Wash FOR MAN MAELOVE - Extra Moisturizing Body Lotion I like the lotion, I LOVE the body wash. I was so excited when I smelled the body wash. It’s the perfect scent and it’s really hydrating. There isn’t anything harsh in this and I really enjoy the price point.

Some items I have been loving
Some items I have been loving this week are the youthtothepeople Superberry Hydrate and Glow oil. Just stated this but wow it’s nice!! It’s one of the quickest sinking oils I have used and it’s got the nicest scent, it’s subtle but slightly sweet. The maelove The Glow Maker Antioxidant Serum. This is a 15% Asorbic Acid Serum and wow! Still early days but so far loving this serum, no reaction, nice consistency and sinks in after a couple of minutes. Love my fentybeauty gloss in Fu$$y, smells amazing and not sticky. I will never tire of byredo Bibliotheque. It’s a sweet musky fragrance that is like a comfort blanket for me.

Superberry Hydrate + Glow Oil
YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE-Superberry Hydrate + Glow Oil
Here's some facial oils I've b
Here's some facial oils I've been loving. • herbaldynamics Revitage replenishing Squalane & argan oil. I love this lightweight oil, it's Hydrating and I love how quickly it sinks into the skin. • sundayriley C.E.O glow vitamin c + turmeric facial oil. This is a beautiful facial oil for in the morning, it gives the skin a lovely glow. It takes a few mins for this one to sink into the skin, but the glow afterwards is just beautiful. • maelove pure marula oil organic wild harvested. This oil is fantastic and for the price tag it's definitely just as good if not better than other marula oils on the market. I like using this one both in mornings and evenings, it doesn't leave my face greasy at all, just sinks right into the skin. • cacaynaturals cacay oil. This is such a lovely oil to use at night time. It's supposed to be have a higher retinol A in it to fight acne. This is a very thick oil, it doesn't sink into the skin right away, and a little bit goes a long way with this one.

Vitamin C 🍊
Vitamin C 🍊
Is one of the best anti-aging ingredients on the market and the key to having smooth and radiant skin. The best way to use it is topical (serums, creams). Benefits: 🍊 Helps fade hyperpigmentation. 🍊 Reduces the appearance of dark circles. 🍊 Protects against sun damage. 🍊 Diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It’s also safe to use in conjunction with other actives like alpha hydroxy acids (AHA), retinols and SPF. Vitamin C tends to oxidize, so it is important to use it on the indicated date, it becomes darkener or change color, you can continue using it but it no longer gives you the same benefits. The best derivative is L-ascorbic acid. I love it because it helps me to remove dark spots from my skin and at the same time protect it from new ones. It has also improved the fine lines I had. SkinTx - Serum12 This serum contained grapefruit extract and 12% pharmaceutical grade vitamin C derived from L-ascorbic acid. It was the first vitamin C I used, and I loved it! Its light consistency and fast absorption were the best. Unfortunately it was discontinued and that was when I switched to Vivier. Price: discontinued. VIVIER - Serum 10 Contains 10% pharmaceutical grade L-ascorbic acid. It is the serum that I currently use, it has worked well for me like SkinTx, it absorbs fast, and it has kept my skin healthy and protected from sun damage, I have been using it for at least 2 years. Price: $96 SPF Rx - Dual C + E + F Contains Vitamin C (derived from sodium ascorbyl phosphate), Vitamin E and ferulic acid (a combination proven to be highly synergistic in reversing photodamage and protecting the skin) and it has a blend of organic plant extracts chosen for their unique antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and skin brightening capabilities. Its texture is lightweight but personally I get pimples and that is why I stopped using it. I know many people who use this serum with excellent results. Price: $55 MAELOVE - Glow Maker This serum contains Vitamin C (15% L-ascorbic acid), Vitamin E, ferulic acid and hyaluronic acid and a botanical blend. Excellent product, it has an adequate amount of vitamin C and works very well. It is the cheapest and works very well, in addition to avoiding sun damage and reducing blemishes, it adds hydration to the skin. Price: $27.95 Definitely the product that I would buy all my life would be Vivier's, it gives me excellent results, protects my skin from damage and prevents the appearance of new dark spots, in addition to keeping my skin healthy. I use the Maelove serum when I need a little more hydration, it works excellent and doesn’t clog my pores.
