Pyunkang Yul set
Yes along with the eye cream I did do a little Pyunkang Yul haul. Let me tell you about these products. They were formulated by Korean dermatologists, so you know it’s the good stuff. The foaming cleanser? Very misleading yet better then expected. It doesn’t foam up much it’s so much like a cream cleanser it just makes my face feel so good when I use it. When I run out I have the full size of this baby right in my shopping cart ready to press buy. It does have a strong scent of lemons but I like the smell a lot so doesn’t bother me, it’s very soothing in my opinion 5/5 The essence/toner: this baby does have a scent too but it’s more of a natural herbal scent. I use it as an essence and it does moisturize my face very well and gets it prepped for my moisturizer. The scent isn’t bad at all reminds me of maple syrup actually. So far so good no acne from it and my skin is looking better in my opinion 5/5 Nutrition cream: this one is unscented (score!) and it hydrates soooo well. Oof this is a very good face cream for my combo and dry gals. It soaks in amazingly and makes my skin hydrated all day long. It is very similar to their intensive repair cream so that’s a head scratcher. Still 5/5 I like it a lot

Meet my Favorite K-Beauty Brand💐
𝐏𝐲𝐮𝐧𝐤𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐘𝐮𝐥 is a skincare brand launched by the renowned Pyunkang Oriental Medicine Clinic, an institution well-known for treating atopic skin disorders.⁣ Although I have not talked about them much online, Pyungkang Yul has been one of my favorite brands and I have always enjoyed most of the products they’ve offered. I like that they are using traditional ingredients and promoting a minimalist approach to skin care. Pyungkang Yul uses only the gentle, yet effective ingredients to help find the optimum balance for your skin.⁣ ⁣ I have combination/oily skin and also acne-prone and here’s my top three recommendations that I think are most suitable for my skin type: ⁣ ⁣Pyunkang Yul - Essence Toner ~ intensely hydrating formula designed to deliver nutrient-filled moisture to skin. Made up of 𝟗𝟏.𝟑% 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐤 𝐯𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐭 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭, full of skin-beneficial betaine and minerals. With the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, nutrient-boosting properties of the root extract, this gel-type toner quickly absorbs to hydrate and strengthen skin. ⁣ ⁣ ~ LOVE THIS. It has added so much hydration and moisture to my skin. I don’t use toner regularly but it’s a nice product to give your skin an extra oomph when it needs it. This is very gentle and works without causing irritation and disrupting the skin barrier. Other serums and moisturizers layer on top of this beautifully. It feels very balancing, anti-inflammatory and hydrating; all with so few natural ingredients. This literally makes my skin feel cool and calmed. Even better when stored in the fridge so it’s even more refreshing on irritated or hot skin. I highly recommend it!⁣ ⁣ ⁣Pyunkang Yul - Pyunkang Yul Moisture Cream ~ enriched with 𝐂𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐬 𝐉𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐭 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭 for an intensive, everyday treat for your skin. Creamy and rich, this luxurious formula is buttery smooth without being heavy or greasy, absorbing quickly into your skin and leaving it hydrated and bouncy.⁣ ⁣ ~ This was a skin saver when I was starting with Tretinoin and was experiencing dryness in the first few weeks. But still enjoy using it until now. The cream is very moisturizing but not too heavy which makes it still tolerable for oily skin. The texture is silky smooth which is a pleasure to apply and massage onto the face. This does not leave my skin oily or greasy -- it leaves a slight glow when you first apply it but sinks in beautifully overnight. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣Pyunkang Yul - Peeling Gel ~ moisturizing peeling gel that gently exfoliates and boosts skin moisture with 𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐲 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐟 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐭 to promote radiance.⁣ ⁣ ~ Absolutely love this. I try to use it every now and then to just kind of get rid of extra dead skin cells and excess oil. I apply on dry skin, leave it on for about 2 minutes and start gently massaging it. The product gently catches dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. Easy to use and you see the results right away. The value is a big plus. It’s very affordable at $14.99 compared to my other favorite, The Cure Aqua Gel. It smells a little bit medicinal but not irritatingly so. Definitely worth a try for oily, acne-prone gals like me!

+Light Moisturizer for Breakouts+
Do you ever have a hard time looking for a moisturizer for acne? Cause I do! I am very particular with moisturizer. 4 years ago when I first began my journey with cystic acne, I noticed that moisturizers with a heavy consistency did not fit my skin. I struggled and so I decided to use facial oils and somehow that worked for my skin After clearing my skin I decided to use a good moisturizer. I found a good one but, decided to have a few options in my moisturizer collection. I like korean products because of the ingredients they use in their products and some are gentle like this Pyunkang Yul - ACNE Cream . I purchased this sometime in November and got it for a good deal (can’t remember). This a gel moisturizers with light almost silky like consistency. It’s fast absorbent and does not leave a sticky residue. I had try a few gel moisturizers but, I always disliked the sticky residue and this moisturizer became my favorite gel moisturizer. It’s soothing and leaves skin hydrated with a dewy look. This contains (all great for acne prone skin ☁️ Niacinamide ☁️ Willow Bark (natural salicylic acid) ☁️ CICA Price: ranges on your choice of site purchase $13.00-$15.00

A healthy skin barrier can solve your problems🌱
A healthy skin barrier can solve your skin problems! 🌱⁣ ⁣ 𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐫?⁣ It is the outermost layer of the epidermis - stratum corneum - which functions as both a chemical and physical shield against pollutants, bacteria, irritants, etc.. ⁣ ⁣ A healthy skin barrier can slow down aging and even help acne heal quicker while lessening its severity. When the barrier is intact, your skin appears plump, and smooth, but when it’s compromised, skin becomes dehydrated, dull, and more prone to sun damage and irritation. ⁣ Sensitivity to products, tendency to break out, acne and chronic dry skin are all signs of a weakened skin barrier. ⁣ ⁣ Your barrier’s health has a direct impact on how your skin looks, feels, and how it ages!⁣ ⁣ 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐰 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠:⁣ 1. Ingredient Spotlight: Propylene Glycol
Surely, we’ve all heard this before: avoid using Propylene Glycol (PEG).⁣ Does the alarm make sense? Evidently, no. ⁣ ⁣ What is 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐲𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐆𝐥𝐲𝐜𝐨𝐥 in skincare? ⁣ Propylene glycol is in a wide variety of skincare formulas, such as creams, serums, and many other types of personal care products. It has been used for many years. It functions as humectant (helps retain moisture in the skin), penetration enhancer (helps active ingredients penetrate better) and also as a degreaser (helps remove excess sebum in the top layer of skin).⁣ ⁣ Products containing propylene glycol are fine to use for most people. However, those with skin conditions like eczema or dermatitis might be more likely to be sensitive to the ingredient. If you’re planning to use a product with this ingredient, be sure to do a patch test before applying in your whole face. If you developed redness and rash, you’re most likely allergic to it and should stop using it. Please know however, that fear mongering claims that it causes cancer has been debunked by recent studies.⁣ ⁣ My 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 with Propylene Glycol are: ⁣ • Cure - Natural Aqua Gel • Pyunkang Yul - Pyunkang Yul Peeling Gel ⁣ Both of these have propylene glycol as their principal ingredient. These products have never irritated my skin or worsened my redness. In fact, I find them a much gentler way to exfoliate than using physical scrubs with beads. ⁣ ⁣ 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐮𝐬𝐞: ⁣ • On a clean dry face, apply the gel. ⁣ • Wait for about 1-2 mins until it becomes milky in texture⁣ • Gently rub the gel all over the face, it’ll bind oils and dead skin cells together and lift it up to the surface. ⁣ • Wash off then clean face with a cleanser

Skincare 101: Exfoliation Basics
Exfoliation is the best way to slough away debris and dead skin cells that are sitting on top of your skin and can clog your pores. Exfoliation speeds up cell turnover. If done correctly, it leaves you with healthier and happier looking skin, and makes moisturizing and applying actives more effective. ⁣ ⁣ There are two types of exfoliators: ⁣ ⁣ 𝐩𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐱𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 ~ are body scrubs and products formulated with grainy particles that provide the actual scrubbing sensation. ⁣ ⁣ I think the best physical exfoliating method is, still, the use of 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐡 — which most of us already have at home. Gentlest of them all, and is even safe to use nightly. Simply dampen the washcloth in warm water, add your cleanser, and rub in small circles beginning at the forehead and working your way down - be sure to use medium pressure. ⁣ ⁣ I also love 𝐏𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐞𝐥𝐬. My favorites are Cure - Natural Aqua Gel and Pyunkang Yul - Pyunkang Yul Peeling Gel . While they don’t exactly fall under the category of physical or chemical exfoliators , I find them innovatively helpful and safe even for sensitive skin. Peeling gels use high acidity ingredients and utilizes a blend of surfactants like dicocodimonium chloride and carbomers that help to bind oils together to attract and remove dead skin. ⁣ ⁣I also enjoy using facial scrubbers like the DERMAFLASH - Dermapore Ultrasonic Pore Extractor & Serum Infuser ⁣ 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐱𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 ~ use acids such as glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or retinoid to mildly exfoliate deeper the skin. ⁣ ⁣ One of the main benefits of chemical exfoliation is that it does not require scrubbing, so it’s less likely to cause major irritation to the skin. I have written about AHAs and BHAs in my recent posts -- do check them out if you’d like to learn more about the ingredients🙈Most results aren’t seen until 4-8 weeks with chemical exfoliators.⁣ ⁣ Some of my favorites are: ⁣ Neutrogena - Rapid Clear, Stubborn Acne, Daily Leave-On Mask PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution janssen - Retino-A 0.05% Tretinoin Cream Curology - Curology formula ⁣ ⁣ Still not sure how to exfoliate? you can actually use both a chemical and physical exfoliator if you’d like to. I personally find alternately using two types beneficial for me (don’t overdo it!).⁣ Skincare is a tough job. It’s best to listen to your skin, try out different methods, and you’ll learn what works best for you eventually❤️

Over-cleansing⁣ 2. Over-exfoliating⁣ 3. Washing your face using hot water⁣ 4. Using alcohol-based toner and fragrance-containing products⁣ 5. Unprotected exposure to sun’s UV rays ⁣ ⁣ 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐝𝐨: ⁣ ⁣ ~ Hydrate continuously! A damaged epidermis requires moisture, so keeping your face and body well hydrated is critical in the fight to restore your barrier. Moisture-binding humectants such as glycerin, sorbitol, and hyaluronic acid are my favorites. ⁣ ⁣ ~ 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐜𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬! An occlusive ingredient provides a protective seal over the surface of the skin and is critical to prevent loss of hydration. When choosing a face moisturizer, I always look for Dimethicone. If you have dry skin, choose a moisturizer with shea butter. For extra dry skin in the body, petrolatum will be your best friend. If you want something lighter than petrolatum, go for silicone based lotions. ⁣ ⁣ 𝐌𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: ⁣ dimethicone, glycerin, ceramides, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, oat and aloe extract.⁣ ⁣ 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: p.s all fragrance-free⁣ ⁣ 𝐎𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧: ⁣ 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫𝐬 - ceramides, niacinamide, dimethicone, HA. affordable and effective. ⁣ ⁣ 𝐍𝐞𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐚 𝐇𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 - dimethicone based. Basic, lightweight, but does a great job. ⁣ ⁣ 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐠𝐞𝐥 - my top recommendation for oily and sensitive skin. Wonderful for people with rosacea. Calms, hydrates, and protects skin with dimethicone, aloe extract and licorice root. ⁣ ⁣ 𝐃𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐧:⁣ ⁣ 𝐄𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 - has panthenol and shea butter. Pretty no-nonsense. Although it has shea butter, I find this actually lightweight enough for oily skin. ⁣ ⁣ 𝐋𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐮𝐦𝐞 - multi-purpose soothing balm for dry skin irritations. Has glycerin, shea butter, panthenol. ⁣ ⁣ 𝐃𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐤 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐢 - Glycerin based and combines signal peptides and amino acids. Has a long ingredients list, but overall still worked well with me. ⁣ ⁣ 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐱 𝐔𝐥𝐭𝐫𝐚 𝐌𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 - contains Riceramide®-3 blend of plant-based ceramides, natural essential fatty acids and cholesterol, combined with soothing emollients and hyaluronic acid to help relieve chronically dry skin. ⁣ ⁣ ❣️𝐏𝐲𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐘𝐮𝐥 is a fragrance-free brand and uses a variety of root extracts and gentle ingredients to promote barrier restoration. I highly recommend the brand too!⁣ ⁣ 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐚 𝐝𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧:⁣ Vaseline, Aquaphor or 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (lanolin-free)⁣ ⁣ 𝐁𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐋𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: ⁣ 𝐀𝐯𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐨 𝐃𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐌𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐋𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧- formulated with soothing oatmeal and rich emollients.⁣ ⁣ 𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓: Don’t forget your 𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐬! Find one you’ll love wearing every day❣️

Hydrating Morning Routine
Hydrating Morning Routine
1) Essence Toner — It preps my skin for the rest of the routine. Not necessary but I can always tell when I don’t use it. Skin feels hydrated immediately after use. 2) Hydrating Toner - It adds hydration to my skin so I can seal it in with moisturizer later. Great trick for dry skin! It doesn’t have any fragrance and it’s very absorbing. 3) Vitamin C serum - Helps brighten up skin and Possibly help sunscreen work better** . Lovely spread and absorbs moderately fast into skin. 4) Moisturizing combo mix of All the Feels Oil mixed with Moisturizing Milk - I like to make concoctions like this one for a leveled up moisturizer. Both are fragrance free and moisturize my skin perfectly. The Muji milk has a very slightly sticky feel, but I don’t mind it. Works great under skin. 5) Protect your skin with @cerave Tinted Sunscreen SPF 30 - I prefer mineral sunscreens and I’m in love with this one atm- no white cast for my skin tone. Full review of this product coming up.

Stressed and Irritated Skin🐋I
Stressed and Irritated Skin🐋I have a few cleansers on rotation as I guess I still have not found my perfect one. I pay attention on the ingredients and it’s been proven that the less ingredients it has the better it is, at least for my skin. I prefer products that have less ingredients and no fragrance (or when it’s on the end list). 🐋The basic rule is that the cleanser should not be too acidic or too alkaline. For example I love Pyunkang Yul Foam Cleanser but it irritates my skin overtime as I found out (ph 7), so I am not able to use it daily. Avène Cleansing Lotion (ph 5.5) isn’t exciting at all but it does a good job and does not irritate and reduces redness. I have two moisturising ones both are super cheap but they are make my skin happy and it’s all that matters. The pureline doesn’t irritate and the skin feels really comfy. I guess I will do a separate post on cleanser textures. Cleansers currently on rotation avene Antirougeurs cleansing lotion Pyunkang Yul Cleansing Foam superdrug Calm Skin De Stress Soothing Facial Clensing with Niacinamide and Camomile superdrug b. Clean Creamy Foam Hydrating Cleanser pureline soothing Camomile Lotion
