It’s Texture Tuesday! Sharing a Few Favourites
Hi Beauty’s 🙋🏽‍♀️ I thought I’d take some timeout over the weekend and re-energise so I haven’t been on since Friday. 😲 I post a lot about nutrition and self-care so I like to take my own advice. 😉 But sharing is caring so I’m here to highlight some of my favourite skincare products as part of Texture Tuesday. It’s a thing 😉 Moisturisers 🧴 OLAY - Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream I used the Olay Regenerist range including the essence and eye cream for over 10 years. I’ve mentioned in previous posts I only cleansed sporadically before joining Cherie 😱 it’s now a twice a day ritual 😁 Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer I did a review on this product previously and I love the texture and smoothness. I use it before I apply my day cream as another layer of hydration. My night cream is pictured beside the OLAY - Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream it’s a herbal retinol cream from China. I don’t know the brand because the packaging is in Chinese. I love it and have repurchased 4 or 5 times from Wish. Masks 😷 alya skin. - Skin Pink Clay Mask Pink Clay is a personal favourite of mine, it’s the most sensitive of clays and suitable for sensitive skin. The Alya Clay does what it says it will do and detoxifies and brightens skin. The pastel pink colour is gorgeous but it does have a fragrance, which gets cloying and may irritate. sukin - Pink Clay Facial Masque Sensitive 100ml Another pink Clay, the results aren’t as good as alya skin. - Skin Pink Clay Mask but it’s fragrance free and has great natural ingredients like aloe Vera, kaolin and bentonite Clay, cucumber 🥒, chamomile and Tasmanian pepper 🌶 Sleeping Masks GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask I’ve been using the Glow recipe for a couple of weeks, it’s my first eye mask purchase. I can’t believe how plump and hydrated my under eyes look in the morning. I’m sold on eye sleeping masks and can’t wait to try more. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🎅 Last, but definitely not least, Aloe Vera (pictured by Avocado Melt 🥑), I use aloe as an ingredient in my natural face masks and because it’s summer here in Australia 🇦🇺 it’s also used to soothe sunburn 🥵 I may regularly use sunscreen now but I still get burnt if I’m out in the sun 🌞 too long. 🙃 What’s some of your favourite textures? I love to see them! Drop me a line and let me know. 🤗 And don’t forget I have a giveaway running exclusively for our Cherie Community 🍒 follow me on Cherie, like my new business page on Facebook and leave a comment on the original post to enter! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Have a wonderful day! BATTLE OF INSTA CLASSICS⚔️🤯‼️
Two VERY aesthetically pleasing products, but which come out with the gold?!🥇🍾 Both of these masks blew up Instagram and ultimately divided us all. We picked our teams and bought every new product our respective favourite released, or at least that’s what I did🤷🏻‍♀️😂 I’m trying them both (in an attempt) to create an objective view on the pros & cons of each product! I hope that this helps those who are unsure or feel uneasy stepping out their comfort zone, to those who might even get a bit of enjoyment reading this! Either way I’ve painted my face in the name of answers😅 FIRST UP‼️ Sand & Sky Pros: minimalist packaged that is very eye catching✔️ Smells exactly as advertised - natural pink clay✔️ low key love how it dried evenly🙏🏻 Cons: if you have struggled with your skincare upkeep and don’t wash your face before applying this is can feel like a sting on your skin, this also happens if you have sensitive skin she is NOT cheap💲💲💲 Alya Skin Pros: just as aesthetically pleasing as sand & sky✔️ more affordable💲✔️ minimalist packaging Cons: Doesn’t dry evenly on the face has floral/perfume scent - doesn’t feel as natural and could also irritate those with skin sensitivity while it did not feel like it irritated, when removing the mask my skin looked so angry and red. This died down quickly however is not something I enjoyed Both products have very close pros and cons! It all depends on your individual needs and what is best for you and your skin! Now for my own personal choice, the winner is.... SAND & SKY🥇🎉🍾 I LOVE💖 this product despite its price tag😅 I find it’s amazing for my skin and leaves it feeling refreshed and hydrated SAND&SKY - Australian Pink Clay Porefining Face Mask $69.90 for 60ml alya skin. - Skin Pink Clay Mask $49.95 for 120ml Drop comments below for any questions or feedback!⬇️

Skin Update : December’s here 🎄🌬
Hi loves, Hope your day’s been good to you - I wanted to share my skin’s progress with you because I feel like it really cleared itself up which makes me happy ✨😇👏🏻 Although, I might need a product for dark circles and enlarged pores. I did my research but I’m still hesitant about which one to pick - so feel free to comment anything you’d think would work!👋🏻🙃 I’m currently using the following products : 1) CLEANSER : Benzagel - Acne Wash or alya skin. - Foaming Micellar Cleanser (I alternate with both!) 2) EXFOLIATE : HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub (1-2x a week!) 3) The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA *I use The Ordinary’s Lactic Acid only at night! I read that it did cause irritation for some people - which was the case for me but it’s not that bad. It itches for a few seconds and then it calms down! 4) SERUM : L'OCCITANE - Immortelle Overnight Reset Oil-in-Serum 5) MOISTURIZER : HUDA BEAUTY - Honey Balm Niacinamide Moisturizer 6) OIL : L'OCCITANE - Immortelle Divine Youth Oil 7) SUNSCREEN (day time only) : LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Ultra-Light Fluid SPF 50+ Take care x 💓

My skincare products and routine : any thoughts?
Hi loves, so even though I already have a pretty good routine for my skin, I feel like I still have so much to learn and therefore maybe other adjustments to do with my habits to really have a good and effective routine for my skin! Here’s what I usually do : (this is for someone who has combination skin; the t-zone gets oily, other parts tend to be dry and sometimes even sensitive; i never had major acne too so i wouldn’t label myself as “acne-prone skin” type of gal🤷🏻‍♂️) 1) CLEANSE : I wash my face with the acne wash by Benzagel Benzagel - Acne Wash ** If I run out of product : I use another cleanser from Alya alya skin. - Foaming Micellar Cleanser *** After one of the products listed here, I use the cleansing butter from Wishful to remove excess oils/makeup before anything else! HUDA BEAUTY - Clean Genie Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm 2) EXFOLIATE/SCRUB : I exfoliate my skin (1-2 times a week) with Wishful products HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub 3) Tone : I’m still pretty new to the “skincare” world and I never toned my skin up until today so feel free to suggest/recommend me products you tried and/or heard of that were good, that’d be great 👼🏻💓 4) Essence : I use to put some of the serums of L’Occitane en Provence to replace the essence I still don’t have! Then again, feel free to suggest me products you think would work!! Thanks 💓 5) Serum : I ran out of the product itself but usually I was using (like mentioned before) L’Occitane en Provence’s serum and it really felt nice on my skin! L'OCCITANE - Peony Perfecting Essence 5.1) Serum #2 : I can also switch with L'OCCITANE - Immortelle Overnight Reset Oil-in-Serum 6) Moisturize : I’m using Wishful’s product called HUDA BEAUTY - Honey Balm Jelly Moisturizer and it really feels nice on my skin! 7) Sunscreen : Right after moisturizing my skin, it’s recommended to directly apply sunscreen on top of the moisturizer of Wishful (or HUDA BEAUTY) LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Lotion SPF 60 8) Oil : Even though I had the sample version of the actual thing, I’m currently working with L’Occitane en Provence’s youth oil, which leaves my skin shiny and cute 🥰 L'OCCITANE - Immortelle Divine Youth Oil 9) Eye cream (or gel): Apparently it’d be nice for me to use some eye cream (based on the analysis that Cherie provides me) but I’m not currently using and not so sure of which products I should/shouldn’t be using! Then again, if you know any good stuff that’d work perfectly with my type of skin, let me know in the comments!! That’s all for me, I know I don’t have the perfect skincare routine but I’m ready to consider any constructive feedback on the thing(s) I could try/do/change to improve it! Thanks, have a good one 💓

Can Alya Skin fix my crusty face?
After months of seeing adverts on all of my social media (and being blessed by the skincare gods with a 30% off sale), I have finally gotten my grubby lil goblin hands on the alya skin. - Complete Skincare Bundle After a night of no sleep, menstrual cramps and existential crisis (thanks PCOS 🙄) I decided to have a shower and treat myself to a little DIY spa time. My skin troubles of the day were gross hormonal acne with a hint of red, dry and sad looking skin. First impressions on these products: in love with the look! super cute packaging (I really like the colour pink so IMMEDIATE gold star there), simplistic and clean style, clear instructions on the back makes for a happy skincare newbie like myself. alya skin. - Foaming Micellar Cleanser was fun to try out! Two pumps were more than enough to cover my damp face with, massaging in circular motion for maximum cleansing and freshness. However, my one comment was more about the scent. I had no idea if I was delusional from menstrual cramps, but it almost smelled savoury to me. Smell aside however, I was happy with the result of a nice, clean face. alya skin. - Pomegranate Facial Exfoliator made my skin feel as soft as a baby’s bottom. I’d advise to be gentle with it however, I’m a rough exfoliator myself and the size of the pebbles were too big to go to town on. Still a good product though! alya skin. - Skin Pink Clay Mask was an experience for me, since I have never used a clay face mask before. Getting it on was a little tricky since it was a thiccc paste, I had to dive into the pot many times to coat my face. The 15 minute wait wasn’t bad, but taking off said mask was tougher than I thought. Still, a fun experience overall and I can’t wait for next time :) And finally, alya skin. - Australian Native Berries Moisturiser soaks up super well, does leave your face a little bit oily (not enough to feel gross and slick, but enough to remind yourself “oh yeah, I moisturised~”). After all of the cleansing, scrubbing and masking, this allowed my face to relax, rehydrate and recover. After all is said and done, from red and dry to plump and bright, I am pleasantly surprised at how much my skin improved in an hour! Overall, is it worth $150 (AUS) for the Complete Skincare Bundle? Unless you do already spend that amount on your regular skincare and knowing these products will work for you, I’d suggest waiting for the Complete Skincare Bundle to go on sale so you can get a bit of everything to try out (I bought mine for 73 dollars, we love a good sale 🥰) but overall, I’d say it’s worth it! I don’t know for sure if I would buy again as of right now, I am hoping on doing another review after a month of use to see if it is right for me. Thank you for reading! Have a lovely day, drink plenty of water and tell someone you love them 💖 (Bonus photo at the end because why not 🤪)

Love love love these three products, I cannot recommended them enough. I have been using all three of these products for about a month now and have noticed a massive improvement in my skin, I have less oil, my face is brighter, red marks from acne have disappeared and I have had little to no breakouts & my face feels smooth like a babies bottom. ☺️ I haven’t had my face look this flawless natural ever. Not to mention the smell of these products are amazing. 💕

What’s your favorite face mask? Alya Skin - Australian Pink Clay Mask mask @alyaskinaus is a miracle mask it removed blackhead. After applying and leaving on for 10 minutes my face felt “unbelievable” super refreshed, smooth, brighter and detoxed. I only used this mask three times and already see great results I feel like wearing no makeup at all. I love everything about this mask It's animal cruelty free, vegan-friendly, and safe for all skin types.

Help 😬

So I have tiny little acne underneath my skin around jaw area and cheeks. Probably due to wearing mask 12 hours a day, almost everyday due to working in heathcare. What would some products be good to use? I currently use about once a week The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution and the twice a week DERMA•E - Microdermabrasion Scrub For night time I have SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O. Acne Treatment Face Oil oil, and then retinoid that my deem prescribed. I also use The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution every night and then twice a week a mask by alya skin. - Skin Pink Clay Mask What do y’all suggest I add. This is my night time products :)

My firstimpression Friday on this mask form alyaskina. Yes I took it over my eyebrows because I get oily/acne-prone skin there too. So far I’m really impressed with this- it really helps to keep my oil at bay. What it does: this mask contains kaolin clay, lactic acid and witch hazel to help keep your oil at bay and provide that ever needed chemical exfoliation. Who it’s for: combo/ oily skin for sure. This clay mask dries down tight! I wouldn’t recommend it for dry or sensitive skin.

Alya’s Pink Clay, Worth the Hype? 🌸
Alya’s Pink Clay, Worth the Hype? 🌸
alya skin. - Skin Pink Clay Mask Claims The Alya Skin Australian pink clay mask has been advertised all over social media to detoxify and brighten skin, improve acne, and leave an overall soft finishing for all skin types. My Thoughts This mask is beautifully thick textured and smells heavenly of roses. 🥀 It is extremely pleasing aesthetically and applies very softly onto the skin. Although the instructions state to leave the mask on only for 10 minutes, it takes about 25 minutes for it to fully dry, even when the mask is applied evenly to the face. This does not bother me, however. As the mask dries, your skin begins to feel comfortably tighter and when washed off, leaves your face feeling smooth and refreshed without a doubt. I’m not sure if this is a coincidence, but every time I apply this mask with some visible acne, the acne seems to get less red the next day. The acne obviously does not disappear, nor is there a noticeable difference. However, I can see the redness slightly reduced. In terms of every day acne, I have been noticing a huge reduction in my skin since I’ve started using this mask. But that could be as a result of the other products I have been using alongside this one. Nonetheless, this mask definitely does not cause further breakouts or skin irritation. After using this mask for a month (around 3 times a week), I do believe it improved the texture of my skin to a softer feel. However, I do not see any difference in the size of my pores, which many might believe this mask reduces. Regardless, my skin does feel naturally brighter after a few applications. One container retails for $50 CAD and claims to be good for 12 applications. However, if an appropriate amount is used, this bottle can outlast 12 applications. Overall, this mask is not a miracle worker, but it is definitely very cute and improves the skin! It’s up to you if it’s your money’s worth. 4 stars from me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
