As A Body Scrub Fan, Here’s What I Think
Brooklyn Botany’s Blueberry Scrub: I love a good body scrub. Herbivore’s Coco Rose HERBIVORE - Coco Rose Body Polish is wonderful. Tree Hut has this Lemon Blueberry Tart sugar scrub TREE HUT - Limited Edition Lemon Blueberry Tart Sugar Scrub that smells like actual food. Brooklyn Botany’s Blueberry Scrub, however... I’ll pass. The smell is great and it is an effective scrub but I wouldn’t recommend it. It has: * Large pieces of sea salt that have * Sharp edges to them * If the product (not just the sea salt but any runoff in the shower) comes into contact with a cut or wound, it seriously stings! Much more than any other scrub I’ve tried. That might be due to it being a sea salt scrub rather than sugar scrub, but good gravy! The company is cruelty-free, so that’s fantastic! But this particular product is rough, literally. I also noticed something quite alarming: the back label says this can be used on the body and FACE. Stop right there! Just because you can physically put it on your face does not mean you should. Manual exfoliation has been known to cause damage to skin and should be used very rarely, if ever, with less abrasive products. I can’t even imagine scrubbing my face with this. It would cause a lot of pain and damage. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS ON YOUR FACE, EVER! BROOKLYN BOTANY - BLUEBERRY BODY SCRUB is not something I plan on buying again, nor do I plan on recommending it to others. ⭐️⭐️/5

Body Scrub 🌿✨
I think my favorite thing about their line of body scrubs is while it has enough scrub to really exfoliate it leaves the skin feeling soft and hydrated. I don’t find myself reaching for lotion afterwards because it already feels like I applied some. It’s packed with a lot of skin softening oils. A huge pet peeve of mine when it comes to body scrubs is too much binder compared to scrub and this isn’t the case here. You’re really going to get a good scrub. It doesn’t have much of a smell which I don’t mind at all. I also deal with eczema and some body products can really cause a flare up but I haven’t experienced it with this product. The African black soap is said to help with cases like mine as well as acne prone, dry, and irritated skin. All in all I’m really impressed with this nourishing scrub. 🖤

The brooklyn botany blueberry scrub smells delicious and has a pretty fine texture so you get a gentle but thorough scrub. I'm trying to get my legs looking somewhat smooth and decent and this scrub leaves them soft and moisturized. The Charcoal Shampoo is AWESOME. It's a gentle shampoo that doesn't strip my hair, but the charcoal detoxifies and cleanses the scalp, and as someone with chronically itchy scalp, this shampoo is a godsend! My scalp feels so clean afterwards and my hair is super soft. I always thought charcoal products were just hype but this is genuinely working for me, so I guess I was wrong! The only downside is I have to wash my bathtub if I use it in the bath as the charcoal leaves a ring around the tub. Still loving the bastide Figue D'Ete body wash. The more I use it the more I'm addicted to the fresh floral scent, and it's super gentle on my sensitive skin too!

brooklynbotany - Blueberry Scrub & Activated Charcoal Shampoo. The brand was founded in Brooklyn, NY and creates all-natural, vegan products. ▪️The Blueberry Scrub smells good enough to eat. It’s ingredients include blueberries (packed with antioxidants), grape seed oil, Dead Sea salt, apricot seed oil & sweet almond oil, to name a few. It’s gentle enough to be used on the face, but I’m picky about the physical exfoliants that I use on my face, so I’ve been using this as a body scrub. Every time I open the jar in the shower, my entire bathroom smells like a bakery. It leaves my skin feeling super smooth and soft. Sometimes my skin gets irritated by exfoliants, but I didn’t have any problems with this one. Definitely sensitive skin approved! ▪️ My obsession with charcoal continues. I’ve been drawn to products with charcoal on their ingredient list for both hair and skin, as charcoal draws out impurities and detoxifies. The Activated Charcoal Shampoo contains activated charcoal powder and a luxurious blend of natural oils. I was terrified to use this shampoo when I first opened it. It’s black. Really, really black. And my hair is really blonde. Since I’m always trying to keep my blonde bright, I tried it a few days before seeing my colorist, just in case. It actually didn’t have any effect on my color that I noticed, but I haven’t tried it again since my last appointment. I felt like this shampoo stripped away all of the product residue and left my hair feeling extra clean, but not dried out. I’ll likely be using this once every couple of weeks to get rid of any product buildup and deep clean my hair/scalp. ▪️ All in all, I really enjoyed both of these products, but the Blueberry Scrub is most definitely one that I’ll repurchase.

Add a good body wash FARMACY - BEE CLEAN like this one from Farmacy. Gentle, soft cleanse Follow up with an oil m. greengrass - Beach Air Dry Oil Spray and a good lotion SOL de Janeiro - Bum Bum Carnaval Celebration Set And you’ll have the most soft, subtle, glowing skin this summer ☀️ Hope today finds you well. Body Scrub that’s out of this world!
My favorite body scrubs have to be from Brooklyn Botany. They leave my skin so soft and just the slight hint of their beautiful scents. My favorites are this watermelon 🍉 one and their Sweet Orange 🍊 scrub. It’s heavenly each time I shower 🚿 After using, the water just beads off my skin. Even after patting dry, I can feel the soft oils doing their job. If you love body products these are for you!!! An absolute must!

Brooklyn Botany Review
Yesterdays textures were sugar and salt scrubs you can use on body, some on face, some on lips 👄 @brooklynbotany is a local brand that makes face and body scrubs and shampoos using all natural ingredients and essential oils. From front to back: ✨ Brown sugar scrub- smells delicious 🤤 I love using this on my face and lips for a gentle exfoliation. Its also made in an oil so it leaves your skin feeling soft, smooth 😋 . ✨ Coffee scrub- probably my favorite one. Ive always wanted a coffee scrub for stretchmarks, and this one has all the necessary essential oils for just that, and also helps treat cellulite and overall skin texture. I use this on problem areas and I’m loving it so far, but its definitely a product to use longterm to see best results ☕️ . ✨ Tea Tree Oil scrub- this is a salt scrub made with dead sea salts, so they are coarser. Tea tree is known for its antibacterial qualities, making it a good treatment for acne. Tea tree oil is often used as a spot treatment for blemishes. Ive been using this on problem areas on my body, and on the backs of my arms for Keratosis Pilaris and has been very effective in smoothing those out . ✨ African Soap Body Scrub- this is a very soft scrub, I really love using this on dry areas of the body, like legs, knees, elbows; it really helps exfoliated dead skin while moisturizing and hydrating at the same time. Its been really helping with the dry areas over this winter . ✨ British Rose Body Scrub- probably the gentlest scrub of all, I find it to be the runniest formula, making it very soft to use on the body. It is also the most fragrant, made with natural flower extract, but it smells lovely, definitely not overpowering. This has been great is smoothing my skin, and I use it on my KP after tea tree to help with the redness. 🌹 Overall I really live this brand, and definitely have a few favorites I will use probably forever 😄

Yes you can glow during quarantine✨
I love body care. It’s the staple to feeling good and feeling confident (especially during summer months). I love to exfoliate my skin & to make sure any darkness, bumps, & stretch marks go away. I use (L👉🏽R) Dove - Beauty Bar Soap this is in the “Summer Care” edition it’s smells like mangos and guava. PACIfICA - Sugared Crystal Supercharged Body Scrub smells like watermelon and other fruits. I love this as a scrub for those days I want extra extra clean. It’s vegan too 💕 BROOKLYN BOTANY - Arabica Coffee Body and Face Scrub I love this scrub. It does have a very strong coffee smell but it gets the jobs done. It’s also blended with coconut oil to leave a moisturizing effect of your skin. I use this mainly on my stretch marks. Dove - Exfoliating Body Polish Crushed Macadamia & Rice Milk this really smells like vanilla to me. It’s probably the lightest of my scrubs and products I use to exfoliate. It leaves a nice conditioned feel on my skin. I use this before I use my soap and it leaves my skin super smooth. -Dry brush I got from amazon. I use this once a week & mainly in my stomach, thighs, & butt. Always rub towards your heart (proper way to detox lymphatic system). I always use this dry before I get into the shower & make sure I rinse and wash that area really well.

Vitamin C serums are a staple in my routines. Antioxidant rich Vitamin C is great for your skin. It helps even out skin tone, protects your skin from damage caused by UV light exposure, pollution and other environmental factors and is also known to have anti aging benefits. The Vitamin C serum that I am currently using is the one by brooklyn (the products are made in Brooklyn). This serum is formulated using Triple C Technology, it contains 10% L- ascorbic acid, plus two other potent forms of vitamin C, 3% Magnesium.Ascorbyl Phosphate and 0.9% Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate. It does contain Alcohol and Essential oils, so if you are sensitive to either of them stay away I have been using this for the last 15 days right after cleansing in my morning routine. This is a milky liquid a little thicker than water but not gel like. It does have a fragrance but it is not overpowering. This sinks in quickly into your skin leaving your skin non greasy. 15 days are not long enough to see major changes but this with the other products in my skincare arsenal have definitely helped fade my acne scars. I appreciate that this is affordable and accessible, retails for $17/30ml on Amazon. I also like that this does not require refrigeration and has a shelf life of 12 months. I will continue to use this and monitor changes.

Will repurchase but I want to use up what is in my stash and then follow 1 empty 1 new policy for everything skincare 🤞🏽 ✨Brooklyn Botany Vitamin C Serum: I have not used it up, it oxidized in less than 2 months. I want to try maeloveskincare glow maker next. Will not repurchase. ✨iUnik Black Snail Serum: I do like this serum,  but I love Cosrx Snail Essence more because that was my first Kbeauty product. Might repurchase. ✨ bywishtrend 5% Mandelic Acid Toner: I was not aware that I have a backup of this toner (happens if you have a ridiculous stash like mine) .

These are a few more clearer pictures so you can really see how the shape of my eyebrows are forming and the actual hairs that are growing. By the way i have on no makeup. Today i did do a light microneedling session mainly focusing on my eye brows the dark marks around the perimeter of my face and around my mouth and chin area avoiding my nose this time. I did micro needle on friday of last week so i was extremely careful not to irritate any parts of my face that were still healing. Currently there is hyaluronic acid serum, retinol serum, rose water toner, and aloe vera gel on my face. I do not use any extra moisturizer on my face because my skin is very oily so wen i put too much extra oil on my face i brake out.BROOKLYN BOTANY - Aloe Vera Gels TREE OF LIFE - Hyaluronic Acid Serum - 72% ORGANIC TREE OF LIFE - Retinol Serum MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater

I’ve seen the Brooklyn Botany
I’ve seen the Brooklyn Botany body scrubs all over IG for the past year and was intrigued so when I saw they were included in the May Palm Pics I decided to see what all the hype was about. I chose the Sweet Orange Body Scrub and I have to say, they do not disappoint. Typically I’m not a big scrub fan but this one has a unique, almost dry texture that reminds me of magic sand and I love it! It’s not messy, leaves the perfect layer of non-greasy hydration after use, and smells like fresh squeezed orange juice! This is officially my new holy grail body scrub and I am really looking forward to trying other scents in the future. These gorgeous scrubs retail for around $15 for 10oz. and available with Free Shipping (no minimum) through the Brooklyn Botany website. BROOKLYN BOTANY - Sweet Orange Body Scrub

This body scrub was more like a body oil with sugar to exfoliate- it was so liquidy. Unlike the rest of their body scrubs which were more crumbly. I love the fact that its 100% natural. The oils in this were the great thing about it this, it always left my skin feeling so soft, and it smells sooo nice. The rose scent in it is not strong, so if you’re sensitive to strong fragrances I think this is fine, plus the scent is natural.
