Highschool Carry Ons: Skincare the Korean Way
I’m back. So if you aren’t a follower of my Twitter (the main one, not my personal), yes, I am a high school student. With high school, comes the summer where the school’s AC doesn’t work, staying after school at the library, studying late nights at academy, having to go to sports practice, etc. If you go through any Korean’s bag, you will definitely find a makeup bag, and high schoolers are no exception. We carry around a lot of stuff. When we are studying all day long it’s not a pretty sight… but we can make that sight look a little bit less… shitty. Here are some of the products that I carry around with me. 가시지요~~~ I have talked about most of these product before, so I’ll just do a quick run down of each. First, the OnDay - Lipping Gold Flower Lip Glow. For school, I used the Red Flower, which moves out a bright pink-ish color. There are pure 24K gold flakes and the flower for aesthetics and the color changes according to your body temperature. It has a peachy flavor and the color is long lasting. The Laneige Two Tone Tint Lip Bar comes in 8 shades and my favorite is No. 4 Fruits Candy Bar. It’s a lip balm and a tint in one with ingredients that can be found in the LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Great for the two tone gradient look that I like the look of, and if you want a full color all over, just blend the inner tint onto the rest of your lip. I’ve only had to touch up once or twice, but that was after 8 hours of wearing it. The next lip product I need to use before school (I don’t carry this around with me) is Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask. It’s strawberry flavored and if you use it in the morning, your lips won’t be chapped all day long. The last of the products I’ve already talked about is obviously a sunscreen. The AHC - Natural Perfecting Double Shield Sun Stick SPF50+ PA++++ with a green, color correcting tint. Of course you should always replace it every 2 hours but that’s no problem with this once because it’s a company stick which doesn’t leave that nasty shiny and sticky look and feel. Alright. Now onto the two products I’ve never talked about the SAEM - Iceland Hydrating Eye Stick for puffy eyes First off, the packaging is super cute. I mean. THE LITTLE BEAR!!! Ok. All cute things aside, no like I can do that easily, but I will try. This stick has a cool, hydrating, and soothing effect when you apply some under your eye. Wakes you up right away and has a nice scent. Works even better if you but it in the refrigerator before you grab it and toss it in your bag. This next product, you should also leave in the fridge to cool before you pack it away. It’s the ST. Ives - Hydrating Face Mist Orange Admittedly, not my favorite, I usually use another face mist, but recent circumstances caused me to have to buy this one as a temporary replacement. It is hydrating and has a fresh citrus scent, so I am not disappointed. It’s a cheaper alternative. There are some items in my makeup bag that I didn’t put on this list, but once I get the products I use on a daily basis, I will make a post on what I carry around with me daily. These are just products I’ve been using since the quarantine pandemic begun. Hopefully this post gave you more accessible alternative to create a makeup bag for not only high school but your day in general.

5 Things You Must Do During The Summer
So I’m all about changing the skin care world one product at a time, but did you know that you are also equally as accountable for your skin as much as the products you use? Some times it’s not your skincare, it’s what you aren’t doing with your skincare. Especially when the seasons change. And the seasons are changing now. IT’S SUMMER!!! We aren’t Olaf, we cannot still live like it’s winter. I wish I was Olaf, but life isn’t fair. And that’s something we have to learn to deal with. Number 1: Cleanse. TWICE Hi. It’s me. Your triple cleansing enthusiast! I get it, sometimes we don’t have it in us to do triple cleansing. I am guilty of it as well. But that doesn’t give you a reason to not double cleanse. You need oil cleanser. ESPECIALLY IN THE SUMMER!!! It’s cleans out all the nasty pollutants you got in your face, and removed excess sebum. It also unclogs your pores which are more easily blocked because you sweat so much and let all your sunscreen and makeup into said pores. Follow the oil cleanser with a foam cleanser to target sweaty skin and dirt. Yes. Dirt gets on your skin. Dirt is in the air. Didn’t think so? Take this post as a chance to re-educate yourself on what you need to eliminate from your skin. Number 2: Mist. Mist. And more Mist. And maybe a bit more. Oh. CARRY THE DAMN MIST AROUND WITH YOU! YOU WILL THANK ME LATER. Ok. That seemed a bit aggressive, but it’s important. You need to hydrate more in the summer because guess what sweat is. Yup. Liquid. From your body. Which you now have to replace. Plus, mists are so fun. They smell good and get the job done. If you are like me and get hot easily, put your mist in the fridge and grab it on your way out. Number 3: The cooler bag So you guys were probably wondering how the mist stays cool in the summer. It doesn’t. UNLESS YOU HAVE A MINI COOLER BAG that’s small enough to act as a makeup pouch. Yeah. They have those. It’s gonna stay cool all day. Plus your mascara won’t dry out, your eyeliner will last longer, your lipstick won’t decompose, etc. You won’t freeze your makeup don’t worry. You just protect them from the heat of the sun. Number 4: Lighter makeup In the summer and going outside in general, but especially in the summer, you want to use less makeup. The amount of makeup you use should be able to fit in a small pouch you carry in your bag. I made a video about this and I’ll post it here as well, but the only makeup I carry is a sunscreen, ampoule pact, blotting pact, eyeliner, lip tint, highlighter, and blush. The best tip I can give you regarding makeup is to carry pacts over brushes and palettes. You’ll carry a lot less and your makeup will be a lot easier. Number 5: SUN FRICKIN SCREEN You can’t tell me you didn’t see this coming. In the summer the intensity of the sun’s rays INCREASES and you need to DEFINETELY wear SUNSCREEN. NO MATTER WHAT. EVERYDAY. REPLACE EVERY 2 HOURS. I mean. I don’t really know what else I have to say. SUNSCREEN! SUNSCREEN! SCREEN YOURSELF FROM THE SUN!!! If you don’t, sooner or later, dark spots will form, you might get skin cancer, etc. and I will tell you, “I told you so”. You will regret it if you don’t wear sunscreen. SO WEAR SUNSCREEN! So… All fun things. I hope you learned a lot and you can add these into your summer routine, especially THE SUNSCREEN. Byeeeee~~~~!!! 안녕 친구들~~~

Budget Care for Eye Wrinkles and Dark Circles
You care a lot for your skin, but do you ever notice the skin around your eyes? My skincare routine consists of all the basics: cleanser, toner, essence, serum, spot treatment, moisturizer, and of course, eye creams. I’ve already talked about some of my favorite eye creams before like AHC - The Real Eye Cream For Face Season 5 and MIZON - Snail Repair Eye Cream so today, I’m going to talk about three kinds of products that also help me take care of the skin around my eyes. 1. Sheet Masks Sheet masks are good for the entire face, but they can be really beneficial for your eyes as well. As you know, these kinds of masks are packed with serums or essences that can really help in caring for your skin, including your eye area. One of my favorite budget masks is POND'S - Skin Brightening Serum Mask which costs only $1.99 per sheet mask. It brightens up my entire face as well as the area below my eyes. Plus, it’s just so refreshing. 2. Eye Pads Eye pads refer to those products that you put over your eyes. I normally just use real fruits or vegetables when I’m at home, but infused pads work well too, especially when I’m out traveling. The best budget eye pads I’ve found is PUREDERM - Hydro Soothing Cucumber Pads costing $1.99 per pack of 10 pads. Each pad contains cucumber extract, which is really great if you want to soothe your tired eyes. 3. Under-Eye Patches Under-eye patches, as the name implies, are used for your under-eye area. Most of the patches I’ve seen and used before are for dark circles, which is perfect for me because while I don’t really have huge bags, I do get dark circles a lot, especially when I’m doing late-night work. Not only can under-eye patches reduce the appearance of dark circles, but they can also help with fine lines. One budget product that I’ve been using for quite some time now is PUREDERM - Dark Circle Reducer Eye Patches which retail for around $1.49 per pack of 4 patches. You typically just put them on your under-eye area and leave them there for about 30 minutes or so. Have you tried using eye pads and under-eye patches below? I’m still looking for the best products in these categories so if you’ve got any suggestions, feel free to share in the comments below!

Best Eye Cream: 3W Clinic, Mizon, AHC?
There’s an old saying that my mom used to tell me when I was younger: you can see how old someone is by their neck, their hands, or their eyes. Eye wrinkles are some of the earliest signs of aging. My mom was very insistent about that. She’s already in her 50s now but she gets mistaken as my friend or my older sister all the time, thanks to her wrinkle-free, flawless skin. That’s why even though I was only in my late teens then, I decided to already add eye creams to my routine. Here are three products that I’ve tried before. The first one I tried was MIZON - Snail Repair Eye Cream when I was still a university student. That was 5 years ago, and until now, this product is still a fan-favorite from the Korean skincare-loving crowd. I noticed some nice effects after just a few weeks of using this product. My eye area already seemed brighter and smoother. I would’ve stuck with this if only it was cheaper. It cost around $20 for 25ml of product which I found kinda pricey as a student. Next up is 3W CLINIC - Snail Eye Cream Yes, snail products were all the rage a couple of years back, haha. I really liked this product for two main reasons: one, affordability and two, value for money. It cost me only $7 for 40ml worth of product, which was a pretty great deal if you ask me. As an eye cream, I think it was less effective than Mizon’s, since the results weren’t as drastic. I used this for quite some time before giving it to my boyfriend. The last product is AHC - The Real Eye Cream For Face Season 5 I know, what a confusing name, right? Apparently, this can be used for the entire face, but since it cost around $19 for a 30ml tube, I reserved it for my eye area alone. I actually bought this alongside 3W Clinic (because I couldn’t decide which one was better haha) but I ended up finishing this one instead of 3W Clinic. Like Mizon, it managed to make my eye area brighter, smoother, and plumper. It made my eyes look alive, basically. I would have to give AHC the top spot out of these three, although they’re all pretty great products. If budget is your concern, 3W Clinic is a nice choice. It’s a close call between AHC and Mizon, but considering the price and the size of the products, you’re probably better off with AHC. Have you tried any of these? What’s your favorite eye cream? Feel free to share in the comments below!

For today's midday reapplication, I'm using these two as part of my routine. . As I've mentioned previously, I never had a sunstick before so this is indeed the first one I have. It's the first time I've applied on my skin and I'm loving the velvety finish already! Gonna see how this goes in few hours 😘

AHC Essential tube sold every 3 seconds!?
AHC Essential tube sold every 3 seconds!?
✨ I’ll be honest, I was so confused. Was this an eye cream or face cream? It’s both! Eye cream for all intents and purposes are concentrated face serums. I have not have been using an eye cream for several years as I use serums, essence, toner, and moisturizer. I didn’t feel it was really necessary. • ✨ This eye cream explains that it may be used everywhere but is concentrated for eye use. This one markets that is sells a tube every 3 seconds. I had to try for myself why. • ✨It is loaded with vitamins and peptides. It is more gel and not as creamy as conventional eye creams. It is light and silky on the skin. My eye area is my problem area with dark circles and bags. I’ll provide an update after a month use! To test I have nose wrinkle I get from when I concentrate and crinkle my nose. I noticed it has finished over the week. I am sold! • Let me know what you think of eye creams and which ones do you use? Take care and be kind, to others and yourself 🤗

So easy to apply ❤️
So easy to apply ❤️
This sun stick is so easy to apply and it has a slightly oily texture plus it’s SPF 50 so you will be very protected from the sun. The sun can be very harmful to your skin causing sun spots, wrinkles, sagging skin, and skin cancer. You should reapply you sunscreen every 2-3 hours. Anyway this sun stick can be a little oily but it’s totally worth it and you don’t even have to touch your face to apply it and that makes my life so easy. It has a citrus 🍊 kind of sent and overly smells very refreshing. I definitely would suggest this product.

I Loved AHC Untill I Found The Timeless Hyaluronic Acid😮😮😮
I Loved AHC Untill I Found The Timeless Hyaluronic Acid😮😮😮
The Timeless Hyaluronic Acid has a 1% concentration of hyaluronic acid and a very runny consistency but it's a little sticky and greasy. It can be absorbed completely by patting it on several times. The Timeless Hyaluronic Acid has a more runny consistency compared with the AHC Hydra B5 Soother, which is more sticky. I personally prefer using the Timeless Hyluronic Acid. The Timeless Hyaluronic Acid doesn't smell particularly nice, but it's acceptable. I have no issue using it as a moisturizer at nighttime. I'll normally use it before I use a mask and it's cheap so I always use it generously. I tried using it together with my usual serum routine and the effect is surprisingly good. It keeps my makeup long-lasting and lump-free. The AHC Hydra B5 Soother focuses on being refreshing and moisturizing. It's good for oily skin and it has a great moisturizing effect too. Normally, I use this soother after emulsifying it but it doesn't permeate the skin, so it's not suitable to be used as a base. I'll usually rub and emulsify it between my palms first before gently massaging it onto my face until fully absorbed. This way it doesn't become lumpy. Both have great moisturizing effects but I recommend the Timeless Hyaluronic Acid considering how it feels on the skin and its price.

This ampoule is so pretty and I love the way it moisturizes my skin! It’s cheaper than a lot of other ampoules that I’ve seen on the market too. AHC is a pretty affordable K beauty brand that I highly recommend! I really like their eye creams. This ampuole contains pearl powder which is known to temporarily shrink pores, decrease redness, and improve skin texture. The white truffle in it helps soothe inflamed skin as well.

NECESSITIES: Skincare the Korean Way
NECESSITIES: Skincare the Korean Way
I was asked on Twitter to do product reviews regarding my Korean skincare, so I was thinking, “Hey, why not put it on Cherie as well?”. Not all of my followers use Cherie and not a lot of people know me on Cherie, but hopefully if you come across this somehow, you can take something away from this post. Because I have so many products I’m going to do this in waves: - Necessities - Acne Gods - Exfoliators - Cleansers - Lip Care - Highschool Carry Ons - The God of All Serums - Face Masks This round is Necessities! I will be going over the products I use on a daily basis without fail. Even if I wake up a few minutes late, I can get this simple routine done in about 5-7 minutes. Super easy right? I am going to do this in order that I use them. First is Soo'AE - HEMP DREAMS CLEANSING OIL . This is my first step after makeup removal. I don’t normally use a lot of makeup or any makeup for that matter, so I can usually go straight to an oil cleanser. A good oil cleanser should be deep cleansing and hydrating, they should be essentially melting all the makeup and nasty that makeup remover doesn’t get. SooAe, an Korean-American skincare brand has released this cleansing oil which uses Hemp seed oil in order to do a deep cleaning and hydrate at the same time. All I do is take a pump of this, massage it into my face, then massage in some warm water. The cleansing oil should turn a milky white once the water is introduced. Following an oil cleanser, I ALWAYS have to go in with another non-oil based cleanser. I like foam cleansers because they tend to be water based and they are really light and airy. NATURE REPUBLIC - Soothing & Moisture Aloe Vera Foam Cleanser is perfect for what I need. As I have normal skin type (thank you 엄마 mom and 아빠 dad!!), I am all about hydrating and protecting. The aloe very has a soothing effect and most definitely leaves my skin nice and restored by the end. This cleanser also doesn’t leave any makeup or nasty in your pores. On a good day, I would do a triple cleanse and follow up with a pore cleansing foam or my weekly exfoliating cleanser, but this is bare necessities. That being said, following my double cleansing method, I follow up with LANEIGE - Essential Power Skin Toner for Normal to Dry Skin . Anyone who knows me knows I swear my entire life by Laneige. The reason is because of their HUGE selection of water based skincare. The Essential Power Skin Toner is super refreshing and acts as a third cleanser while also replenishing moisture. Keyword here is MOISTURE!!! Most toners tend to dry out the skin, but Laneige doesn’t disappoint and hydrates like no other. Of course, following any good toner should be an essence. I use LANEIGE - Water Bank Hydro Essence . It not only boosts hydration, but it locks in any moisture in your skin and prepares your skin to absorb any serums, essential oils, or face mask/packs that you use after. Even if you don’t use oils, serums, masks, etc. using essence before eye cream and even simple moisturizer will prepare your skin for an ultra hydration party. Normally, I would use serums and a face mask/pack, but since the clock is ticking before I have to leave the house, I’m going to skip straight to eye cream. Eye cream is NOT ONLY FOR AGING ADULTS! Eye cream/gels are used to treat and maintain the skin around our eyes. The skin around our eyes are the weakest, thinnest, and most sensitive skin on our bodies, so we need to take really really good care of it. Another product of LANEIGE - Water Bank Eye Gel . I was born with the typical Asian eyes which are on the smaller side, so when I am tired and my eyes are a bit swollen, my eyes look 10x smaller. Not the prettiest thing to look at. This eye gel is not only light and hydrating, but it also has a cooling effect which wakes me up a bit. Following this, I use the LANEIGE - Water Bank Hydrating Gel . Since I moved from Korea, I can’t seem to find this in the States, so I have my grandparents bring this over for me when they come for their visits. With this, a little goes a long way, so despite the small size, it hydrates and leaves your skin looking plump and glowy all day long. While I brush my teeth and last minute pack my school bag, I let the two Water Bank gels fully absorb and then follow up with AHC - Natural Perfecting Double Shield Sun Stick SPF50+ PA++++ with a SPF of 50+. You should use a sunscreen of at least SPF 30 no matter the weather forecast is. If you are going outside and the sun is out, put on the damn sunscreen. Your skin will thank you later. There are a number of reasons I recommend this. The first one being that it is a sunscreen and a color corrected all in one. I tend to pink really easily, and not a cute blush. I mean the pink where you low key look like a lobster the minute you go into the sun for more than 10 minutes. Since the color of the sunstuck is green, it naturally cancels out the redness. The other reason I recommend this is because it is so much easier and portable than suncreams/screens. It’s a stick that can be easily tossed into my bag when I need to put more sunscreen on (you should put reapply sunscreen after about 2 hours). Last big reason I like this is because it doesn’t leave that oily looking residue and it doesn’t become sticky and nasty when you sweat. The last of the Water Bank line and the Necessities lineup is the LANEIGE - Water Bank Hydrating Gel , which also has a cooling effect and can be put over sunscreen to give your skin that extra glow. I’m telling you, if you keep using this gel, your skin will be baby smooth within a week or two. Admittedly, some of these products are on the pricier side, but the results are worth the extra 5-7 bucks you will pay, plus, with these product, a lot goes a long way. All of the Laneige gels last me a good 6-7 months each and the toner and essence lasts me nearly an entire year. Keep in mind that I follow this skincare routine twice a day/everyday. That’s a lot longer than most products last, so consider throwing in a bit more money for a lot of results~ I hope you learned a lot from this post and were able to benefit from my reviews. I will continue with the waves and hopefully I will get through every wave my the end of next week.
