Curly hair Dreams ✨
I have been recently using these two from Kristin Ess, It always caught my attention when I passed by the hair products at Target so I decided to give it a go on these two styling products! KRISTIN ESS - Ultra Hydrating Curl Leave-In Cream This I usually use to untangle my hair before I style it. It’s a spray that helps to loosen your curls so they can look more hydrated and natural. When the product said cream I expected a literal cream. But this is more of a milky texture. I love the smell, it’s very floral and not too strong!! KRISTIN ESS - Weightless Shine Curl Defining Jelly What I love most about this product is that it hold my curls but it doesn’t make it extremely hard to move. It styles beautifully! It’s a clear gel and it really does what it says! My hair always looks so bouncy and healthy! - These two are amazing! They also have another cream which I’m really excited to try! I feel like for the quality you’re getting, these are pretty affordable! They have for every hair type as well! And the packaging are so cute!

Overnight Waves Tutorial
I am allllll about overnight hair styles. Gone are the days where I regularly use heat tools to style my hair. Every once in a while I’ll do it, but for everyday I can’t be bothered! Heatless styles are also great for reducing heat damage and breakage. This is a tutorial for my preferred overnight waves using two twists. This style works best for wavy and straight hair types. About my hair: thick, naturally wavy/curly, frizzy, dry What you’ll need: -comb -small elastic bands -leave-in spray -styling cream/gel/mousse -finishing spray/hairspray Steps: 1. Start with damp hair. 2. Apply leave-in conditioner and disperse through your hair with a comb or fingers. 3. Apply your preferred styling product(s). This will help your hair hold the style’s shape. 4. Either air dry your hair or wrap in a towel for about 15-30 min (less if your hair is fine, more if your hair is thick. I do about 30 min) 5. Take hair out of towel (if using) and comb it. 6. Part hair in desired area in front and part about equally down the back. 7. Work with one side at a time. Take a small section of hair at the front of your head, and another section from the back of your head. 8. Twist the pieces together like a rope braid. I start just above my ears. 9. Add in a section of hair from the front and from the back to continue the twist. 10. Continue adding hair and twisting down. Secure with an elastic. 11. Repeat on other side. 12. Go to bed! Let this style sit for 8-10 hours. The longer the better, especially if you have thick hair. 13. In the AM, remove your twists and gently shake your hair near the roots to loosen waves. 14. Spray hair with your preferred finishing spray/hairspray. Products I used: KRISTIN ESS - Ultra Hydrating Curl Leave-In Cream KRISTIN ESS - Hair Hydrating Curl Defining Crème R+Co - FOIL Frizz + Static Control Spray Notes: You can twist your twists around each other into buns or clip them on top of your head if the twists will bother you when you’re sleeping! You can modify this style by starting father or lower on your head, or doing two 3-strand braids. #CheriePartner

Why, When, and How to do a Curl Reset
The picture on the left was my curly hair in need of a good reset wash day! The picture on the right is one wash day later - back to shiny, bouncy curls. How Did I Know I Needed a Reset? My curls were too dry and they were also lacking moisture. As you can see in the picture on the left, my hair looked dull and overly frizzy. My curls were not clumping together well and instead looked frizzy and ill-defined. Not only did my curls not look their best, but they felt dry to the touch and almost “crackled” when I would rub strands together. My curls had lost their bounce and my curl pattern was much looser than normal. What Does My Reset Washday Look Like? 1. Use a Clarifying Shampoo This clarifying shampoo from Kristen Ess is my go-to. It has a nozzle tip for easy application at the roots, smells nice, and has a great lather. To use it I thoroughly wet my hair in the shower and then apply a liberal amount of shampoo, rinse and repeat if my curls and scalp still feel like there is product buildup. KRISTIN ESS - Scalp Purifying Micellar Shampoo 2. Use a Protein Mask The tgin Miracle RepaiRx Curl Protein Reconstructor further clarifies the scalp and hair, and fortifies your curls by restoring protein. I knew I needed a protein mask for my curls because they felt very limp and my curl pattern wasn’t as bouncy or defined as usual. My curls were stretched out and not as big (circumference-wise) as they typically get. I apply the mask and leave it on my wet hair for about 3-5 minutes, then rinse out completely. tgin - Miracle RepaiRx Curl Protein Reconstructor 3. Deep Condition Once the protein mask is washed out, I go in with the Mizani Moisture Fusion Intense Moisture Mask. I apply it to my wet curls from roots to ends, gently brushing through (I use a Tangle Teezer) to evenly distribute the product. I let the mask sit on my wet hair for 5-10 minutes in the shower, then rinse out completely and style as usual. TANGLE TEEZER - The Ultimate Detangler MIZANI - Moisture Fusion Intense Moisturizing Mask Have you ever done a reset wash day? Let me know if I’ve left your favorite products off the list! #CherieCreator

Holy grail for any kind of heat styling
The blow dry mist is $14 at Target and is a MUST for any kind of heat styling. It’s a super fine mist and there’s no need to wait for it to dry before heat styling of any sort. Restores shine, tamed frizz and helps protect your hair from blow drying, straightening or curling. Also leaves your split ends looking fantastic. My aunt loves it when she blow dries. Her hair is left shiny with some body and separation. It cuts down her drying time and makes her bleached hair look super healthy. I use it myself as a heat protectant when curling my hair. If you’ve seen my selfies on IG all that shine my hair has is due to this. I air dry so it can be left a bit dull but this mist gives me the most amazing shine while also helping to tame frizz. Two spritzes on each layer and you’re good to go. It’s weightless and leaves my hair so healthy looking. Literally a 10/10 if you heat style and love super shiny hairKRISTIN ESS - Style Assist Blow Dry Mist

Haircare
Happy Friday Beauties!!! Last night I went on a little haircare shopping spree. I had not purchased any Kristen Ess items until yesterday. I am now infatuated with her brand. It takes me sooooo long to blow dry may hair so I thought what the heck I’ll try this Blow Dry Mist out, I’m sure it won’t do anything. Let me tell you! I was wrong! That’s what I get for judging a book by the cover. I hate blow drying my hair so much because it’s so thick and long that I rarely do it. That just changed drastically, all I used was this blow dry mist and a little dry shampoo at the roots and today I didn’t have to style my hair at all. This little miracle worker is amazing! It literally, no lie cut my dry time down by 18-20 minutes. I used 7-10 squirts and my hair was completely dry in 7 minutes. I was ecstatic, tbh I’m more in tune with skincare, so I wasn’t even aware that this existed. If your someone who loves a good blow out like me, this is a game changer. It doesn’t leave any residue on your hair, gives a frizz-free blowout, detangles and adds shine so that’s just an added bonus! Plus the smell is so amazing I’m not sure if I want to use it as a perfume or hair product lol. I don’t know what took me so long to get on the Kristen Ess train but I’m all aboard now. I love her packaging, products, and the price isn’t shabby. I paid $14.00 for this and I’ll definitely be re-purchasing. I bought the brush and comb as well. I need a good brush to get through this thick mane of mine, I highly recommend that as well.

Blondes you need this purple shampoo 🧴
If you’re going to spend money on blonding your hair in a salon, you absolutely need a purple shampoo. Purple shampoos are used to help combat yellow (yellow and purple are complementary colors!) in blonde hair, keep the blonde cooler and looking more refreshed in between salon appointments. They work by using temporary color which lays on top of the hair. You can overdo them but in reality you can always shampoo a couple of time with regular shampoo to get it out. I discovered Kristin Ess products a while back and I think they’re great and very affordable. I especially love the purple shampoo. KRISTIN ESS - The One Purple Shampoo Here’s why! It’s really pigmented, so it actually works without having to use it every day. I use it once a week to maintain my blonde. Smells amazing. It has a pretty strong perfume scent so if you’re into those kind of smells like I am you will love it. The price point. It’s only $12 at Target! You can use this product more if you’re trying to get your blonde extra ashy or even see a slight tint of purple in it. Remember you can always use your regular shampoo if you feel that you’ve overdone it!

Products + Styles for Long, Fine, Blonde Hair✨
As the title says, my hair is currently long, fine, and blonde (part natural, part bleach😜). Maintaining healthy hair while dealing with these elements can be tricky sometimes so I’m here to show you some of my favourite products for keeping my hair toned, long, and healthy. With my hair type, I mainly focus on hydration, repairing/prevention, toning, and texture (with my hair being fine + straight I like to give it a boost of texture). First up, let’s talk shampoo. I wash my hair about 2-3 times per week and I rotate between a purple shampoo, clarifying/detox shampoo, and a regular shampoo. What I’ve been using lately are - • KRISTIN ESS - The One Purple Shampoo this one works soooo well to tone all of the brassiness out of my hair AND it’s affordable. The one con IMO is it’s very heavily fragranced. • DRUNK ELEPHANT - Cocomino Glossing Shampoo this is what I’ve been using as a detox shampoo and it works pretty well - not the best and not the worst. It has a nice light scent and does leave my hair feeling very clean. Downside to this one is the price tag, it’s pretty expensive for such a small bottle. IGK - Low Key Cleansing Walnut Scalp Scrub I recently started incorporating a scalp scrub into my routine; this one works decently well but I have a hard time getting the product to my scalp. BUT if/when I do, I love the cooling peppermint feeling it leaves behind on my scalp. Next up, I try to use a mask or deep conditioner once a week. I’ve been using the eva·nyc - Therapy Session Hair Mask and it’s quite nice. It leaves my hair feeling soft and hydrated but again, it’s quite heavily fragranced which I don’t love. Now this next product is my holy-grail...seriously I am obsessed with it and sing its praises. The KEVIN.MURPHY - Kevin.Murphy Young.Again rescued my dead, bleached ends and brought my hair back to life and helped it to grow long and healthy for the first time in over 10 years. I don’t know what else to say...it’s magic and you need it. Lastly, some styling products I’ve been loving are - • davines - This is a Sea Salt Spray this isn’t a super drying salt spray like some I’ve tried in the past; it gives my hair some grip and texture without the crunchiness. It also has a light vanilla musk scent that I love! • KEVIN.MURPHY - Shimmer Me Blonde this spray contains violet reflects to help tone out brassiness in blonde hair and it’s sooo pretty. It’s like a light oil in texture and feels more like a treatment than a styling product - another Kevin Murphy product I’m in love with!! As for styles, some of my most worn are - • air dried • flat iron waves • half up pony • half up top knot • all up top knot • centre part • deep side part • scrunchies always What are your favourite hair products for your hair type?!

I recently started using this mask in place of a conditioner about 2 times per week and it’s helped a lot with bringing back a shine and softening up my hair. Only downside is that my hair is left a little oily still after my fires out. My hair is thick and pretty oily naturally.... and I do wash it properly so I’m not sure if it’s the mask or just my hair??? But overall I’m liking this product! If you add a little sheen just incorporate this in your hair care routine 1-2 times a week

These scalp focused products from Kristen Ess have been amazing for my hair and— scalp! 💁‍♀️! Here are some reviews . Scalp Scrub- I bought this as a hopeful dupe for the Ouai Scalp and Body Scrub. It’s similar and pretty much does the same thing— the scent is obviously different so it can’t be a dupe but I like both scents equally. . Micellar Shampoo- I wash my hair every 3 days and in the meantime use a dry shampoo. This micellar shampoo is great for a deep clean. I feel like it does a great job cleansing without stripping. . Daily Scalp Hair Mask- I’m a sucker for a hair mask and love to use one in place of my regular conditioner most days. This has the added benefit of keeping my scalp healthy and hydrated. . Bubble Mask- This mask foams out like a thick mousse. You are supposed to part your hair and apply directly to the scalp. The foam will bubble and pop (a la pop rocks) when the popping stops you hop on in the shower and shampoo as usual. I have been using this mask on days when my scalp has been angry and irritated. It feels cold and refreshing! . . I’ve been using these hair products exclusively for about two weeks now and I would highly recommend! Scalp care has been a focus of mine. It’s an area that is often overlooked but definitely deserves some just as much TLC as the face and neck!

Not Bad ☝🏼
I’ve used it on it’s own as my only conditioner and after rinse out conditioner. However you choose to use it I applied it to damp hair and worked it in. I love how this product leaves my hair very shiny and more manageable. I have wavy hair that can be curly and frizzy. So anything that can make my hair easier to deal with is great. This does tend to make my hair oiler by the second day so use sparingly (I do have oily roots though). The only negative I have is the SMELL. Sometimes I swear this smells like wall paint and it’s terrible. I notice it especially when I’m applying it while still in my shower. It does dissipate rather quickly though. But goodness be prepared for how terrible this smells. There are definitely better leave-in conditioners out there, but this one isn’t bad... just the smell.

Some good stuff
I’ve just gotten so lazy and don’t take of my hair anymore and it shows! I recently got this @Kristin_Ess leave in conditioner to try something new out! I’ve never used leave in conditioner or spray or any type thing similar before! So I definitely was curious to see how this compares to a regular conditioner. It claimed that it detangles, softens and strengthens, its moisture sealing and shine enhancing! All things my hair desperately need right now! I’ve used it a couple of times so far and have really liked it! It gave my hair an extra shine and my hair was easy to brush after spraying this in and overall that dull look into hair was gone! Also it smells really good too! A very salon like smell if that makes sense haha! - I think whether you use a regular conditioner or leave in my personal opinion is that it gives same results! It just depend on what you want to use! 😊

So I get my hair highlighted every few months and I try to prevent as much damage as possible. I purchased both of these from Target and I was a little skeptical of the “zip-up technology” that claims to fix split ends but I loved the prices on these ($14/$12 if I remember correctly) so I decided to give them a try. - Shampoo I don’t wash my hair every day but with the shampoo, it doesn’t dry my hair out or seriously affect my color. It’s also sulfate-free and smells amazing! - Mask I use the mask once a week and took the suggestion on the jar to wrap it up and leave it on for about an hour (you can also leave on for five minutes if you don’t want to wait that long). My hair is SO smooth afterwards and wasn’t weighed down as it has been with other products I used. It didn’t fix my split ends entirely but does give my hair shine and an overall healthy look (also smells amazing, but a little strong if you’re not big into fragrances).

Favorite shampoo ever!
KRISTIN ESS - The One Signature Shampoo I’ve gone through countless bottles of this. My number one shampoo ever, this cleanses my hair without stripping it and has the most beautiful dry down scent. I have to change my shampoo all the time, and this is inevitably the one I come back to. It has a consistency that’s somewhere between a gel and a cream, which lathers really well and rinses quickly. It’s a gentle shampoo that is said to be suitable for daily use. I have fine, oily hair, but a lot of it. I’ve found this does the trick! I decided to try her products out after seeing them on Instagram and and Target, because let’s get real — they’re beautiful. This product is sold at Target in the US, which makes it extremely accessible. At $12, it’s also an incredible affordable option. There are a ton of shampoos in her line, so there is sure to be one that fits your needs. I highly recommend checking out her whole line. This product gets a 5/5 rating from me!

Affordable haircare that feels luxury✨
Nothing makes me love brand more than chic packaging + affordable price + effective formula🤍 I don't usually talk about hair products, but thought I would share two Kristin Ess products that I love.⁣ ⁣✨⁣ ⁣I picked these up at target quite a few months ago and use them all the time.⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣🤍Soft Shine Beach Wave Spray: This is essentially a light texturizing spray. Some good products 👏
⭐️Cosrx Honey Ceramide Full Moisture Cream: My favorite cream ATM. Extremely hydrating. It's great for winter/fall, I've now switched it out for a gel cream for the hotter months. COSRX - Honey Ceramide Full Moisture Cream ⭐️First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream: A solid moisturizer. Doesn't feel heavy but is a very good moisturizer when my skin is acting out. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration ⭐️Kristin Ess Weightless Shine Air Dry Creme: Love how this hair cream amplifies my hair's natural texture. It enhances the waves while imparting a nice scent. I apply this to my damp hair and comb through. KRISTIN ESS - Weightless Shine Air Dry Crème ⭐️Klavuu Nourishing Care Lip Sleeping Pack: This looks beautiful on the lips, like a thick, wet gloss, but doesn't actually do too much for my lips. I have other lip masks I prefer. KLAVUU - Nourishing Care Lip Sleeping Pack ⭐️Versed Day Dissolved Cleansing Balm: This gets the job done, but if you use too little water it creates a strange almost gummy texture. It wasn't my favorite cleansing balm. VERSED - DAY DISSOLVE Cleansing Balm ⭐️Boscia Vegan Collagen Booster Serum: I love this serum, it's a great texture and the packaging is an airless pump which keeps it sanitary, fresh, plus looks super cute. This is a product that you don't see immediate results with but I like mixing it with my strong LAA products. boscia - Vegan Collagen Booster Serum ⭐️Tatcha Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream: This is a super thick eye cream. It's great for winter and colder months or for anyone with super dry under eyes. I don't use it too often but it does give a nice glow to the undereye area.TATCHA - The Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream ⭐️Kristin Ess Soft Shine Beach Wave Spray: I love this spray. It's meant to be used on dry hair. It's like a texture spray but it also enhances my natural waves. A little goes a long way so this will last me a while. KRISTIN ESS - Soft Shine Beach Wave Spray 🤍Let me know if you have questions about any of these products! ⬇️

Kristin Ess Instant Exfoliating Scalp Scrub
Kristin Ess Instant Exfoliating Scalp Scrub
This is a non-drying scrub that claims to remove flakes, product build-up, and excess sebum. It gives the scalp a "cleaner canvas" through gentle exfoliation. This product is made with a sugar complex to help retain natural moisture. This product is cruelty-free and color and keratin safe. It is used to help remove build up and sooth the scalp while hydrating and rebalancing it as well. The texture of this product is super gritty and the granules are a lot larger than most other exfoliators. This product was a disappointment to be. After running out of my beloved body and scalp scrub by The Ouai. I was hoping this product would be a good alternative. Unfortunately, the exfoliants in this scrub were way too big and made it difficult for me to use. I also found that it did not make my scalp and hair as clean as other scrubs made them feel. Something weird I also noticed about this scrub was that it appeared to be glittery. I would not recommend this product to others because it did not work out for me as well as I thought it would have. This product retails for $14 at Target!

I love this shampoo! I have naturally oily hair and this has been amazing. It strips the oil and buildup from my hair and scalp without drying anything out. This is very deep cleansing. KRISTIN ESS - 3-in-One Flat Iron I have really straight hair, but I like to wear it up or in a loose braid, so sometimes if I want straight hair I’ll run a flat iron through to get the kinks out. I also like to use this for curling my hair for something a little different than my curling wands. This curls quickly and actually stays in my hair. I’ve used a Chi before but this one performed better by far.
