It’s Texture Tuesday! Sharing a Few Favourites
Hi Beauty’s 🙋🏽‍♀️ I thought I’d take some timeout over the weekend and re-energise so I haven’t been on since Friday. 😲 I post a lot about nutrition and self-care so I like to take my own advice. 😉 But sharing is caring so I’m here to highlight some of my favourite skincare products as part of Texture Tuesday. It’s a thing 😉 Moisturisers 🧴 OLAY - Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream I used the Olay Regenerist range including the essence and eye cream for over 10 years. I’ve mentioned in previous posts I only cleansed sporadically before joining Cherie 😱 it’s now a twice a day ritual 😁 Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer I did a review on this product previously and I love the texture and smoothness. I use it before I apply my day cream as another layer of hydration. My night cream is pictured beside the OLAY - Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream it’s a herbal retinol cream from China. I don’t know the brand because the packaging is in Chinese. I love it and have repurchased 4 or 5 times from Wish. Masks 😷 alya skin. - Skin Pink Clay Mask Pink Clay is a personal favourite of mine, it’s the most sensitive of clays and suitable for sensitive skin. The Alya Clay does what it says it will do and detoxifies and brightens skin. The pastel pink colour is gorgeous but it does have a fragrance, which gets cloying and may irritate. sukin - Pink Clay Facial Masque Sensitive 100ml Another pink Clay, the results aren’t as good as alya skin. - Skin Pink Clay Mask but it’s fragrance free and has great natural ingredients like aloe Vera, kaolin and bentonite Clay, cucumber 🥒, chamomile and Tasmanian pepper 🌶 Sleeping Masks GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask I’ve been using the Glow recipe for a couple of weeks, it’s my first eye mask purchase. I can’t believe how plump and hydrated my under eyes look in the morning. I’m sold on eye sleeping masks and can’t wait to try more. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🎅 Last, but definitely not least, Aloe Vera (pictured by Avocado Melt 🥑), I use aloe as an ingredient in my natural face masks and because it’s summer here in Australia 🇦🇺 it’s also used to soothe sunburn 🥵 I may regularly use sunscreen now but I still get burnt if I’m out in the sun 🌞 too long. 🙃 What’s some of your favourite textures? I love to see them! Drop me a line and let me know. 🤗 And don’t forget I have a giveaway running exclusively for our Cherie Community 🍒 follow me on Cherie, like my new business page on Facebook and leave a comment on the original post to enter! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Have a wonderful day! Jade 😊

Rosacea
I struggle with acne since I was very young. The only thing that worked for me was la roche-posay rosaliac serum for local redness, sukin's pink clay masque and neutrogena's oil-free acne wash. You can't go wrong with it. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Rosaliac AR Intense sukin - Pink Clay Facial Masque Sensitive 100ml Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash

THIS CLEARED MY ACNE IN 3 MONTHS!(IM IN LOVE )
Ok the title may be a bit dramatic but seriously back in June or July I started noticing I got serious case maskne I was very depressed about it was spending $60-100$ on skincare and it didn’t do crap :( I thought drying lotion and biore was doing it for me , and it wasn’t at all my skin was so overwhelmed with all the things I was putting on it until I went back to basics and subscribed to curology (that didn’t last long btw) the products - CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater sukin - Certified Organic Rosehip Oil 50ml DICKINSON'S - Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser 1. First I wash my face with CeraVe Pat dry with a paper towel next I take a cotton pad and drench it in witch hazel ( I know witch hazel is iffy for some people but it works for me and it really improved my skin care routine all the years I’ve had acne . I use CeraVe Moisturizer Cream + Azalaic Acid I used Curology for 3 months , it improved my skin texture blemishes and overall pimples however it got expensive and I started to use alternatives as the weeks went on , Azelaic was in my prescription (4%, I use 10% now ) That combo is a bit drying even if CeraVe says it’s moisture 😩so I usually spray my face with rose water spray (there’s no real benefits to it I just like doing it tbh ), after that I slap my face with rose hip oil , the best thing /oil ive ever purchased I spent years thinking oil meant acne and breakouts I just had to find the right oil and it’s rose hip it’s a game changer my maskne scars are completely gone .

Can someone please help me? I’m not sure why I’ve been getting these red bumps or spots on my face and I’m really confused I just made a switch to the cerave foaming cleanser and rosehip oil so I’m not sure if my skin is irritated or not this is what I use The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% but i only use this on my forehead as it causes irritation on my entire face I think it was the high concentration Cerave foaming CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin sukin - Certified Organic Rosehip Oil 50ml I’m also using sunscreen I’m not sure if it may be the sunscreen? Im unsure if my skin gets irritated from chemical sunscreens

Deep Cleaning DIY Mask
This simple mask deep cleans blackheads, clogged pores, and you entire skin in general. This works for all skin types, especially oily skin. There are only two ingredients + water and it doesn't stay on your face long. How to make it: One tbsp oats One tsp baking soda One-two tbsp hot water Mix together and leave it out for a couple if minutes so the oats can absorb the water. Wash your face while you're waiting. Apply to your face and scrub a little bit. Only leave on for one or two minutes as you'll feel the baking soda start to work right away. Wash off and finish with moisturizer. I use Aveeno - Baby Daily Moisture Lotion Fragrance Free and I finished with my favourite eye serum sukin - Antioxidant Eye Serum Signature I hope you enjoyed reading, don't forget to leave a cheer ❤

Help! These eye care products disappointed me😢
BEFORE YOU CONTINUE, A NOTE. Everyone’s skin is different and what may not work for me may work for you and vice versa. It’s all about finding what does work. These are the two most recent products I’ve incorporated into my skin care routine, think I’ve been using them for more than a few weeks. I put on makeup today and noticed that because of the small wrinkles under my eye, my concealer and foundation get clumped into my wrinkles and making them more obvious. I also noticed that my dark circles still looked the same since using both of these products for more than a few weeks. I’m really sad to admit that there is a small change to my dark circles but no change in my wrinkles (I talked about these two products in a previous review, has a banana in the photo). So I am kind of sad that I now have to keep looking. If there are any suggestions for eye creams and serums that aren’t over $40 I would love to hear them❤️ thank you

With maturity and more awareness of the skincare options available on the market, the 20s is the best time to explore options for your skincare regime. It is definitely not too early to prep the skin to combat signs of aging – sagginess, wrinkles, fine lines, dullness. By taking early action, you can make a significant impact on your skin’s future health. I’m currently using two products religiously to help combat signs of aging for my combination skin. sukin - Purely Ageless Restorative Night Cream 120ml 💖 Product I: SK-II R.N.A.POWER Radical New Age Cream For Who: All skin types The Sell: One of SKII’s best-selling moisturizers, the creamy yet lightweight moisturizer helps boost my skin's energy, improve suppleness and elasticity for a more radiant looking complexion. This power cream never fails to revitalize my tired and dull skin, especially on days when I’m more stressed and tired. Also contains Chlorella Extra, a skin-conditioning agent extracted from freshwater algae that reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles caused by dryness on my skin. Effective Evening Skincare Routine for Busy/ Lazy Ladies
Your to-do list feels endless, the days are long, and yet, we feel like we can’t get everything accomplished most of the time! On days when we feel overwhelmed and unproductive, a quick and relaxing night time skincare routine will help set us up for waking up to great skin.   On usual evenings, I spend more time to take care of my skin as it gives me a chance to relax and unwind with the lovely scented products as well. I don’t use this routine often, maybe only once a month when I have a late night out or when I stay up late for work. Here are bare minimum I do to my combination skin in my PM routine in order to keep my complexion in tip-top shape. My priorities are to make sure that my T-zone and pores are cleansed thoroughly so that I don’t go to bed with clogged pores, and that my dry cheeks get their hydration recovery overnight. o   Face scrub Exfoliation is critical for me, and I scrub my face at least once a week. I rarely wear make-up these days,  so I skip make-up remover. A face scrub not only helps to cleanse the day’s debris and dirt off my face, it also assists to cleanse my pores and rough spots. My go-to scrub for the longest time is the ST. Ives - Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub, widely available in all stores. My skin gets extra nutrients from its formula containing 100% natural walnut shell powder to give soft, smooth, and glowing skin. o   Tone and Moisturize Since a face scrub can still be drying for the face, the toner will still be part of the fast beauty routine. Instead of adding the face toner on a cotton pad, I apply the liquid with my palms for a quick hydrating boost. I use CLINIQUE - Clarifying Lotion 2 For Dry Combination Skin as it is one of the most effective toners I have used to clean and hydrate my combination skin well. The formula gets absorbed quickly into the skin, allowing me to quickly apply moisturizer as the next step. For moisturizer, I choose a trusty clean beauty product - sukin - Purely Ageless Restorative Night Cream 120ml to do two things at the same time. Formulated with richer ingredients like pure ribose, macadamia oil and cocoa butter for an intense hydration boost, the cream also works as an anti-aging cream also helps to improve skin elasticity and fight signs of ageing thanks to the added white hibiscus and baobab fruit. o   Go to Sleep with Sleeping Mask Ever since I discoverd the convenience of a sleeping mask, I have never looked back. They put a whole new defination to sleeping beauty. When I just want to hit the pillow fast, I skip the sheet mask and slather on a rich, nourishing sleeping mask gel on my face for a quick, final seal of hydration on my face. My go-to sleeping mask is LANEIGE - Water Sleeping Mask, a cult beauty product in many places. I apply the soothing jelly-like cream on my moisturized face and leave it on overnight, until I wash my face on the next morning. Suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin, the sleeping mask with highly concentrated Hydro Ionized Mineral Water delivers high doses of moisture to my skin while I sleep. I also adore its relaxing trademark Calming Sleepscent, infused with orange flower, rose, and sandalwood. Check out the Lip Sleeping Mask product by the same brand too; you won’t regret it, especially in harsh winters.

Will facial oils break you out?
Facial oils can be daunting if you’re someone who is prone to breakouts. I don’t typically have acne now in my mid 20’s, although I have a condition that makes me have hormonal-imbalance induced breakouts. On my personal journey with oils, I’ve found sukin - Rose Hip Oil was a helpful product with acne scarring. I gave it only 3 STARS because if you’re someone who has ongoing acne, it can make things worse. I would consider using this once your less prone to breakouts. For example, I had acne as a teen but as it cleared into my 20’s this helped with any dark marks and spots. I’ve heard from others that a good option for scarring is BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil although personally, I find it irritates my sensitive skin. Another great oil for calming & soothing my sensitive skin — and not much else — is Kiehl's - Midnight Recovery Concentrate I give this 4 stars, because like I said it is calming for my skin and smells pleasant, but I’m not so sure about the anti-aging claims this product makes. I do not see any difference in fine lines. However, it leaves my skin with a healthy glow, so I will sometimes wear it out on no-makeup days. Now as for the two oils that are pictured.... Let’s start off with price — (Canadian $) ✨Tarte’s Maracuja oil retails for $21 for 15ml. It claims : smoother, brighter and firmer skin 🐘 Drunk Elephant’s Marula oil retails for $53 for 15ml. It claims: moisturizes, nurtures and restores a youthful glow 🎉 FOR LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE of DE’s Marula, Tarte is my winner !! 🎉 It softens my skin and most importantly.. does not BREAK ME OUT. When I’m in need of some extra moisture, this is my go-to. I can layer it under or over my moisturizer and it absorbs into my skin. By morning, my skin feels like it had a drink of water. It also appears brighter and plumper. I find my makeup applies much better when I’m properly moisturized as well. Unfortunately I found that on several different occasions, DE’s Marula broke me out time and time again. I can’t get past that. As for moisturizing, it is comparable to Tarte but not worth the pimples & blemishes I wake up to the next morning! I’ve found a different use for this pricey oil, I now use it on my body & stretch marks, ‘cause why not? In conclusion, the cheaper of the two is the better product. No complaints here! 🥰 I’ve heard many rave reviews on DE’s oil, just curious if anyone else had the same issue as I did? & if you have any other oil suggestions I’d love to hear them! Thanks 😊

Everyday cleanser for redness & rosacea!
I have used so many different kinds of cleansers including gels and creams. I used to struggle really bad with rosacea and still suffer from slight redness. During my last years of high school I invested in better skincare and found what was good or bad for my skin. I used to use cleansers with so many so many alcohol ingredients including makeup wipes and the brand Clean and Clear cleansers. I found the severe redness was caused by a lot of alcohol contained products and they contained ingredients that were way too harsh! I haven’t seen any difference using fragrance in skincare personally but I do avoid it as much as possible. This Sukin cleansersukin - Foaming Facial Cleanser Pump Signature is AMAZING for redness and rosacea as it has played a major part in calming down my inflamed skin. After a single cleanse, my skin was a soft, even tone! Consistency? This cleanser does not come out as a foam as you pump out the product and it comes out as a gel then you mix the product in your palms to create a beautiful foam and then apply straight to your face. You only need a small amount as the foam goes a long way. The feeling on your skin feels soothing and hydrating, no stripping feeling which you may feel with other cleansers! Will this remove makeup? While this does melt my makeup off significantly. I believe when using makeup to use a double-cleanse system (which I learnt from Skincare by Hyram! 😉). I take my makeup off using GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Makeup Remover with a reusable cotton pad then follow up with the Sukin cleanser. This routine ensures that every spec of makeup is being cleansed off your face and will not block pores - which causes breakouts! Skincare type? I believe this would be perfect for all skin types! I can’t see anyone with dry, combination or oily skin hating this. I have normal-dry skin, my sister has combination-oily and we both love and use it every day! Price? Pricing is only $11.95 in Aus dollars on the Sukin website but can be found on sale even cheaper in stores such as Chemist Warehouse, Coles and Priceline. Fragrance? Sukin does state that their products are fragranced with essential oils and plant derived aromatic ingredients which I personally don’t think should be necessary in skincare products but I have not experienced any breakouts or irritation from fragrance or Sukin products. If you prefer a full on fragrance-free cleanser I would recommend CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin which personally isn’t my favourite cleanser ever as I feel as though it didn’t do much for me and my skin concerns but it is well raved about and worth a try. Contains great ingredients also. I 100% recommend this cleanser to anyone suffering from redness, rosacea, sensitive or inflamed skin. It has improved my skin significantly and will always be in my skincare routine!

My thoughts on these Sukin products!
I have been trying the sukin - Certified Organic Rosehip Oil 50ml sukin - Nutrient Rich Facial Moisturiser Super Greens 125ml for several weeks now and I believe everyone should invest in Sukin during these winter months in Australia! The products are super gentle on my dry, sensitive skin and definitely play a major part in rejuvenating and nourishing my skin! The Rosehip oil is perfect to leave on overnight - you will wake up with hydrated skin! I notice a major increase in the brightness of my skin, I especially noticed my dark spots less visible. I do struggle with redness quite often in my skin but when using this Rosehip oil I notice my overall skin tone improve significantly! The lines under my eyes have also definitely softened and looked less textured. You can even mix this with your daily/nightly moisturiser for just a bit of extra hydration when your skin is needing some TLC! The only con I find when using this oil is that you definitely can feel it on top of your skin and I do find that it can take a long time to really sink in which is a bummer, but the pros outweigh the cons obviously. The Nutrient Rich Moisturiser is also a new, favourite moisturiser of mine! It has now become my new moisturiser for the day time, replacing my usual CeraVe! I find it sits perfectly under makeup and makes my foundation look much more hydrated - a lot less cakes too! It has such a creamy feel to my dry skin and nourishes it perfectly! It absorbs very quickly and keeps my skin soft and smooth. It had a refreshing, light scent without being overly fragranced. Fragrance has never been an issue in my skincare routine as I haven’t experienced it breaking me out but I do avoid it as much as possible and majority of my products are fragrance free! Sukin does state that their products are fragranced with Essential Oils and Plant Derived Aromatic Ingredients which I believe really aren’t necessary in skincare products but I am lucky fragrance isn’t an issue for my skin. I have also tried the sukin - Foaming Facial Cleanser Pump Signature which I will be doing an in-depth review very soon but I must tell you - I am in love!! The Sukin brand is a cruelty free, natural ingredient, carbon neutral, Australian made and the packaging is recyclable! Overall, I love this brand so far (even Simba loves it too!) and believe it’s perfect for those struggling with quite dry skin during these months in Australia! I recommend you give it a try and see if you see great results also!

HIGH STREET SUPERSTARS If you’re looking to switch things up and focus on a skincare routine based around layers of hydration like I use DAILY, these are the steps I would recommend... First cleanse - super.facialist Vitamin C+ Brighten Skin Renew Cleansing Oil another fab one is the Simple Hydrating Oil Cleanser Second Cleanse/Morning Cleanse - cerave Hydrating Cleanser. Or if you have oily skin you may prefer the Foaming version. Toner - This product from sukinskincare is a mist toner and amazing as a first step for layering hydration. You can also use it to sandwich your serum! Essence - this is becoming a more popular step in western skincare following the lead from the Koreans... and this product from elfcosmetics is in my opinion THE best essence on the High St. An essence helps prep your skin for serums to be absorbed and adds an extra layer of hydration! Serum - This little bottle from superdrug has been mentioned a lot on my page and with good reason because it’s AMAZING! Probably the best value product out there and I urge EVERYONE to try it... packed with hyaluronic acid for plumping out those fine lines, ceramides for rebuilding the skins moisture barrier and perfect for all skin types. Eye Cream - I LOVE my kiehls Avocado Eye cream and although this product from boots own brand Expert Skincare isn’t a ‘dupe’ it’s a lovely hydrating eye cream with avocado oil. Oil - All skin types can benefit from using an oil, I use one morning and night but if you are oily you may prefer to only use at night, this one from deciem The Ordinary is perfect for all skin types! 100% Plant Derived Squalane is a super lightweight oil that melts into the skin and doesn’t ever feel heavy or greasy Moisturiser - weleda Skin Food is my all time favourite for sealing all these layers of hydration in... there’s also the light version which may suit oily skin better. Other recommendations for high st moisturisers are the cerave PM Facial Moisturiser and The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors.

Getting A Perfect Skin While You Are Sleeping💤💤💤
Getting A Perfect Skin While You Are Sleeping💤💤💤
As beauty aficionados, all of us place importance in beauty sleep. Skin-reparing night creams is a critical part of this evening ritual. For waking up to soft and glowing skin, layering on a night cream before hitting the pillow helps. Typically richer and more hydrating than usual day moisturizers, the suitable night creams aids skin in the process to heal heal day-to-day stress, which can cause early aging, fine lines, spots, and inflammation - all while we sleep. For my combination skin, I alternate between two rich night creams to hydrate and soothe the skin effectively overnight. Sukin Purely Ageless Restorative Night Cream sukin - Purely Ageless Restorative Night Cream 120ml A cruelty-free brand born in Melbourne, Australia in 2007, Sukin offers effective, sustainable and natural skincare. I have been a fan of the affordable brand for a few years now. The night cream is just one of their products that I use religiously. With a blend of pure ribose, macadamia oil and cocoa butter, the cream nourishes and rejuvenates the skin while I sleep without creating a thick and sticky residue. The light texure also makes it easy for you to layer with a serum or sleeping mask.  SK-II R.N.A.POWER Radical New Age Cream SK-II - R.N.A. Power Radical New Age Cream On evenings when I need a more potent anti-aging cream, I use this magical moisturizer that supercharges my skin’s firmness and glow. Packed with nourishing ingredients, this velvety moisturizing cream restores my skin suppleness with intense hydration, which is noticable in the morning. After using this product for about two weeks, I have also noticed that my skin tone is more even and my pores have also diminished. Although pricey, only a small pea size dollop for the whole face is needed each time you apply, so a little goes a long way.  As the cream is pretty rich, simplify the other beauty products for layering. I usually skip serum or sleeping mask when using this.
