How I get my everyday heatless waves! A little background on my hair: 💧My hair is mid about bra length and has just the slightest wave to it suddenly, it’s been pretty straight my entire life. It’s fine but I have lots of it! 💧As far as hair care: I wash about twice a week. I do a deep condition on the ends about twice a month. I blow dry my hair maaaybe twice a year. 💧I used to be a devoted dry shampoo user but I found that if I wanted my hair to really grow fast I needed to kick that habit. When you use dry shampoo you need to wash more (or twice) and with more clarifying shampoos that are harder on your hair. So it defeats the purpose. Now I can lather up once a week most times with a gentle shampoo and be done with it. And my hair is HEALTHY. I barely need any product. Step 1: Detangle hair BEFORE showering. Super important so you don’t smoosh down any waves once you get out of the shower. Step 2: Wash and condition hair. Step 3: Finger comb hair into place or use a wide tooth comb (I’m not sure how this would work on other hair types Step 4: add a very small amount of curl cream just to keep frizz down. I’ve been using cake - The Curl Friend Defining Curl Cream and I can’t say anything bad about it. It smells amazing. Adds hold. Stays soft. It’s great. Step 5. Towel Dry. Use a towel or old soft t-shirt (sometimes I just use paper towel) and scrunch dry up into the hair. Note: I usually air-dry my hair partially so I only need to leave my little space buns in for a half hour or so before I have waves. Step 6. Split hair into 2 sections and twist into buns coiling toward back of head. Secure with coil hair ties. You don’t want to use rubber bands or anything that will leave an indent. Leave these in for about an hour more or less depending on how wavy/curly you want your hair to be. Step 7: Remove the hair ties and carefully uncoil hair. Add a very small amount of flexible hair spray. And that’s it! Perfect soft waves!
