I am not made for minimalism: Rate My Routine
So first I have to say the PEACH & LILY - Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser was half off at Ulta and I decided to try it as my morning cleanser. That was a mistake and why I am broken out in these pictures. Pics are no makeup/filter. My skin is normal /dry. It is incredibly reactive. I can’t use any actives not retinol not HA nor any of the acids. I have one age spot because I avoid the sun like a plague and always wear sunscreen and a hat. This is why my skincare system is so simple and focuses on adding moisture. CAUDALIE - Make-Up Removing Cleansing Oil An HG Product. It feels great and makes a nice clean start to the day. Also fragrance free!!!! AM ONLY: fresh - Soy Makeup Removing Face Wash I keep coming back to it because it doesn’t irritate my skin or cause breakouts but I don’t really love it. It works. Meh. PM ONLY: OSEA - Ocean Cleanser I can’t use this every wash because of the lactic acid but it is incredibly effective at making my face glow and getting rid of acne scars and breakouts. I wash my face and then let it sit for two minutes (a cherie trick) and wow does that make a huge difference. It has a distinct smell that takes some getting used to and it produces a tiny bit of foam that you really don’t want to get in your eyes. acwell - Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner I like the way this product feels. My skin feels fresh after I use it. The texture is really thin and it takes a while to absorb. H2O+ - Hydration Sensitive Essence I haven’t decided how I feel about this product yet. I am allergic to the moisturizer and the cleanser in this line. I do like the milky texture and the way it doesn’t lay on my skin but seems to absorb while I am not paying attention. Krave - Great Barrier Relief My great HG love that keeps my face from drying out. Let us never be separated. KINSHIP - Pimple Potion Retinal + Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment is slowly, but surely, getting rid of the milia on my chin. It is this orange-yellow color and has a thick lotiony texture. innisfree - Olive Real Power Cream Ex. A little goes a loooong way. I have struggled to find a moisturizer because I was applying lotion 5-6 times a day and DE isn’t cheap. This is 1/3 of the price and works 4x as well at keeping my face moisturized. It has a pleasant citrus smell and the whipped gel texture is nice. dear, klairs - Fundamental Nourishing Eye Butter This has a really nice creamy but not to thick texture. I use it twice a day and my eye bags have been reduced by 90%. The container is a pain to deal with and dispense product from. AM (Coming Soon) Krave - The Beet Shield How am I doing?

My weekend routine for dry skin
My daily skincare routine is full of hydration, nourishment, and gentle exfoliation. It keeps my skin looking plump and smooth and I love dedicating even just a few minutes to just being with myself every morning and night. In addition to my daily routines, I have a Saturday routine that ties in with my day of relaxation and self care. During my time in college, I’ve always tried to dedicate Saturdays to myself. Incorporating a fun skincare routine into my Saturdays is a newer development, but it really elevates my day. I love spending the day with fresh, dewy skin and think it’s so peaceful to just sit on my couch with a sheet mask on, scrolling through TikTok. Keep reading for more details on my favorite weekend routine: 1. Cleanse - OSEA - Ocean Cleanser or ACURE - Resurfacing Glycolic & Unicorn Root Clenser I like to start my Saturday routine with a cleanser I don’t usually use, just to change it up a little. Recently, I’ve been using up two samples from my Allure Beauty Box and I really like them both! The Osea cleanser smells so good and is really creamy and hydrating and the Acure cleanser exfoliates really gently and leaves my skin feeling super clean 2. Exfoliating peel - The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution The fan-favorite chemical peel from The Ordinary, of course! If my skin is especially wonky, I’ll use this over my whole face. I like that it controls my pores and gets rid of dead skin, it’s very versatile! If my skin looks really good for the most part, I’ll just put it on my nose and chin to get my pores and dark spots specifically 3. Hyaluronic acid serum - The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Right after I rinse the peel off and while my skin is still damp, I rub a couple drops of this hyaluronic acid on my face. I do this to lock in the first bit of moisture and to prep my face to absorb my next step 4. Sheet mask - I like to use soothing or hydrating masks on Saturday to calm my skin down after the intensity of the exfoliating peel. Pictured are a few of my favorites that I have right now 5. Moisturizer - belif - The True Cream-Moisturizing Bomb My favorite moisturizer ever, surprise! At the end of my routine, I apply this thicker moisturizing formula to lock in all the goodness. Sometimes I use belif - Aqua Bomb Sleeping Mask as a little treat if I’m having an especially dry week or just want to make extra sure my skin is happy after I’m done 😌 6. Relax! Not a skincare product, but so vital nonetheless. Taking care of yourself and your mental health so important. Spend some time with yourself and just enjoy life! And that’s my Saturday skincare routine! Sometimes I do a different routine on Wednesdays if my skin is being finicky, so stay tuned for how I tackle more problem-specific products. Comment your favorite skincare treat below!

HYDRATION in a Bottle! 💦 OSEA Sea Serum
Okay — this is IT. This is one of my all time favorite hyaluronic acid serums. It’s fab for irritated skin — it’s literally all I want to put on my face after a long day at the beach being in the son. It absorbs super quickly into your skin & feels silky smooth once it dries. The texture feels super jelly — and i really like it. There’s a few types of seaweed that help lock in the moisture & maintain hydration. I feel super plump & refreshed the next morning, and always helps soothe any irritation 🌊🌊🌊 It’s a little pricey at $88, but worth it IMO.

Osea has a Memorial Day Offer!!
Just trying to get the word out that Osea is offering a beautiful bodycare set free with a purchase of $125 until May 25!! My recommendations are: OSEA - Black Algae Flash Mask This beauty will scrub and absorb all the funk lingering in your pores and will leave your skin impossibly bright and smooth! It’s very intense so it’s good for a once a week treatment for good skin quick. OSEA - Hyaluronic Sea Serum This one is my favourite hydrating serum ever. It’s more of a gel texture and sits a little bit on the skin instead of absorbing right away so I find it’s hydrating over a long period. I use it morning and night on top of a hydrating toner and my skin instantly plumps up. Plus it’s just a stunning product OSEA - Advanced Protection Cream I am pretty obsessed with this cream. It’s a light but super nourishing and heavy moisturizer for those who are incredibly parched or who have mature skin. A little goes a seriously long way

Super Clean Skincare
I finally hopped on board the Osea train! My girl @glowwitherinis an Osea affiliate and I used her link in her IG bio to buy the 2 mists a little while ago! She gave me the mini cleanser herself. Let’s list some key points about the brand itself. 🙂 🍃The brand is plant-based, gluten-free, vegan, and cruelty-free 🍃They use a bioavailable seaweed and essential oils, and never use synthetic ingredients 🍃They ethically source their ingredients and support small businesses 🍃They package in recyclable glass I may have only used 3 products, but I think it’s finally time I give you some little flash impressions 👇🏻 🍓The Sea Vitamin Mist is quite nice, and it is vey hydrating. Sometimes when I need a little pick me up, I will each for it. The packaging is glass (hooray for sustainability!) and the red colour of the mist is absolutely beautiful! 🌿The Sea Minerals Mist smells pretty much the same as the Sea Vitamin Mist, and it’s also hydrating af. I haven’t used either of these enough to tell a difference, but so far they’re both amazing. 🥛The Ocean Cleansing Milk is actually not my favourite. It’s super watery which I’m not a fan of, and though it’s not terrible, it just don’t feel a difference in hydration in my skin after using. My one iffy thing about the brand is the essential oils. Essential oils are a bit controversial because there hasn’t really been much science backing up their supposed benefits, but some people swear by them. Essential oils usually have fragrance in them, which may cause irritation to the skin over time with prolonged use, especially in those with sensitive skin. Personally, I’ve never found myself irritated by fragrance, but I do try to avoid it in large concentrations when I can.

A tip I picked up...
So I watch a lot of YouTube. Specifically a lot of beauty and even more specifically, skincare videos! I would even say it’s a mild obsession haha. With this, I pick up tips, tricks, absorb info, find new products and so on. I wanted to share one of the tips I picked up along my watching journey as it has changed the game for me. Misting before a hydrating serum. It’s not ground breaking, or revolutionary, but it makes my skin feels 100x better than a hydrating serum by itself! Seriously. I wash my face, apply my toner, let that soak in and then spritz my face with a hydrating mist (OSEA - Sea Vitamin Boost is my go to for how freaking hydrating and softening it is) and then slather on the hydrating serum while my face is still wet! It’s so simple but the results are much more plump skin, deeper penetration of the hydrating product (usually hyaluronic acid like in the SKINCEUTICALS - Hydrating B5 Gel ) and significantly reduced water loss overtime. PLUS! You need about half the amount of that pricey serum when you’re adding so much water with it ❤️

Flat Lay - Green Edition 💚
I’m so excited because today is Friday which means I turn 24 tomorrow!! I can’t wait to spend the weekend hiking with my man, but today is going by too slow. 😩 So in the mean time, here’s a pretty green flatlay and some products I want to give some flash impressions on. ☺️👇🏻 💚 Ole Henriksen Cold Plunge Pore Mask was one of my first mask purchases and will always have a special place in my heart. The cooling sensation and the soft skin I have after use never does me any wrong! 💚 Laneige Glowy Lip Balm in Pear is delicious and hydrating, I use it every morning. It isn’t sticky which is perfect for me since I wear a mask all day at work. 💚 Osea Sea Minerals Mist is a great refresher if my skin needs some hydration in a pinch! 💚 Farmacy Daily Greens is great for my acne prone skin since it’s a gel moisturizer. See my post from July 7th for more! 💚 Farmacy Deep Sweep hasn’t even been opened yet. Someone needs to start using up their toners before they open it! 😂 💚 Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Sleeping Mask is my OG sleeping mask that never fails to give me a clear and glowing complexion! 💚 Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask also hasn’t been opened yet. What are you most looking forward to this weekend?

Osea red algae mask 🧡
A huge thank you to @cherie for this awesome leaderboard prize!! I finally got a chance to try it yesterday for #selfcaresunday!! OSEA - Red Algae Mask $48.00 for 1.7 oz. Claims: Rescue problem skin. Eliminate excess oils and draw out impurities with this non-drying formula. Enriched with essential oils and Gigartina Seaweed to deliver visible anti-aging benefits. Ideal for blemished skin or complexions exposed to environmental pollution. Key ingredients: GIGARTINA SEAWEED (GIGARTINA SKOTTSBERGII) A red algae rich in polysaccharides, vitamins and minerals such as potassium, magnesium, iron and calcium. Deeply hydrates and helps provide collagen protection benefits by forming a barrier on skin. Optimal anti-aging benefits. FRENCH RED CLAY (MONTMORILLONITE AND ILLITE) JUNIPER (JUNIPERUS COMMUNIS) LEAF ESSENTIAL OIL TEA TREE (MELALEUCA ALTERNIFOLIA) OIL This mask is mostly for blemishes and pore minimizing. It’s definitely unique to me as I have never tried a mask with algae before! I’ve read a few articles saying the red algae can actually clog your pores so I was a bit hesitant to use this. My experience however was pretty good! My pores seemed a bit smaller after wearing this mask around 25 mins. You wear it until it dries to a light orange in on your face. This mask did not feel super tight on my face which I liked, so it was pretty comfortable to wear. It did tingle a little bit upon application but that feeling when away very quickly. Once I washed it off my skin felt extremely clean and it did give somewhat of a firming effect. I do have a couple blemishes and they did seem to look better this morning after using yesterday but I only gave it four stars because it did produce a little bit of a drying effect. I normally don’t have super dry skin and also for my skin to be a little dry is different but I did like the overall effect of this mask I would just advise to moisturize really well after using. 🧡This mask can also be used as a spot treatment and I’ll definitely be trying it for that!! Have you tried any Osea products?

MASKNE NO MORE!
We’ve all suffered from “maskne” within the last several months from wearing a mask all day, everyday. It has taken me a long time to find my perfect maskne routine for prevention and treatment—but I’ve finally found it. I’ll start with my morning application: I first apply the Hydra-Cool Serum and allow it to dry and soak into my skin. 💦 Next, I apply Volition Celery Green Cream which works great as a skin barrier between my face and my mask 😷 Lastly, I apply the Benzoyl Peroxide 10% on my breakouts to kill the bacteria 🦠 My nightly application is: Hydra-Cool Serum—allow to dry Osea Blemish Balm—works great as a night moisturizer as it isn’t heavy on the skin Benzoyl Peroxide 10%—to work on my breakouts over night! I have oily/acne prone/sensitive skin and this routine has proven to work for me! Some days I give my skin a break from the BP 10% to allow it to heal. Check out my page for individual reviews on these products!🤩 iS CLINICAL - Hydra-Cool Serum VOLITION - Celery Green Cream Beauty #Johnson&Johnson - Benzoyl Peroxide 10%[products]#[FiveStars] OSEA - Blemish Balm

Blemish Balm—Osea 🌊
I first received this as a sample pack for some other skincare products I purchased. Not expecting much, I opened the pack and applied to my inflamed, post 6-hour drive home face, and y’all, this is a game changer. I had just gotten home from a six-hour trek home and my face was feeling it. I was red and inflamed and had picked at my face (yes, i know, bad bad!) but as soon as I applied this, I immediately felt relief. My face felt cooler, and overall better. I ended up going lay down for a while and when I woke up my face was 100x better than the previous hour! My redness had subsided. The blemish balm smells like tea tree and juniper (two key ingredients) so it does have that smell to it! Personally, the smell is great to me but if you’re sensitive to smells or essential oils, you may want to rethink this product. This item has a price tag of $48 and to me, was very well worth it. I have oily and acne prone skin & this moisturizer has proven effective for me. OSEA - Blemish Balm

Environment Protection Cream ✨🌱
I bought this cream from a boxy pop up for $12! (It retails at $48) In about 2 weeks, I will be leaving the country. So, I decided to start packing early for things I’ll still use overseas. OSEA - Atmosphere Protection Cream I have been curious about Osea products for awhile so when I got this during my pop up last month I was ecstatic. Do you know how much pollution is in the air you breathe? I live in a relatively suburban/rural area so my air quality is relatively great. More city-like and large areas where factories, traffic, etc., are tend to have higher air pollution. (Check at airnow.gov) Do you experience crazy climate changes? Transitioning season can already be a dread, but do you live somewhere that it gets a little too crazy? Ive lived in 7 different states and have experienced some crazy weather. This product helps this as well This product: Is very lightweight. This cream is perfect for the fall/winter months and layering with other serums/creams. Ingredients: Algae: anti-aging and hydrating Avocado: (one of my favorite). Antioxidant full ingredient. Also Vitamins A, C, D, & E! Lavender: steam distilled. Great for senses Macadamia Seed Oil: non-comedogenic oil. Contains squalene & oleic acid. Great for anti-aging Shea Butter: softening and brightening skin moisturizer. I swear by shea butter for moisturize. Full of vitamin E it’s perfect for any skin type. Vegan & Cruelty Free My experience: This smells amazing! I don’t want to use it a lot but I have been testing it to prepare to pack it with my other skincare needs. It’s so light and airy but not too heavy ( I also used a small amount). I used this: after my serums and before my sunscreen. It didn’t cause any pilling or thick layer of product. The price is steep but I will definitely be repurchasing! ✨

Healing My Skin with a New, Simplified Routine
With my forehead acne that has struggled to surface for weeks along with large pores and irritated skin, I decided to reach out to my cousin who is an esthetician for some product recommendations. As a result, I’m trying out a new simplified skincare routine with some product suggestions from OSEA that she recommended! After healing and repairing my skin as suggested, I do want to look into additional products that were recommended in my previous post. So, onto the products I’m now using! DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil I use this in the PM 🌃 only if I need to take off makeup. I use a cotton ball to remove any eye makeup and rub additional oil onto the rest of my face to thoroughly remove all makeup (including long-staying lipstick). It does a good job of removing makeup and I always follow this with a cleanser (double cleansing). OSEA - Ocean Cleanser I use this in the AM and PM 🌇🌃 It contains lactic acid which is the gentlest of the acids which is great for my more sensitive skin. Because it’s so gentle, you won’t get that intense foaming effect as you might expect from “other” cleansers. However, this cleanser left my face feeling incredibly clean and soft, but not stripped. OSEA - Sea Minerals Mist I use this in the AM and PM 🌇🌃 This mist is gentle and contains aloe. I use this as a toner after cleansing my face. Hanskin - Hyaluron Skin Essence I use this in the AM and PM 🌇🌃 This hyaluronic acid based serum is very gentle and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and plump. OSEA - Atmosphere Protection Cream I use this in the AM and PM 🌇🌃 This moisturizer is light and leaves skin feeling moisturized without feeling oily! Haven’t used it underneath my makeup yet, but I imagine it would perform well since it really soaks into the skin. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios 60 Face & Body Melt in Sunscreen Milk SPF 60 I only use this in the AM 🌇 This sunscreen works well and rubs in easily. However, it does leave my skin feeling a bit oily. Any recommendations for another SPF is welcome! Have you tried any of these products? If so, please share your thoughts and experience along with any recommendations you might have (looking for a new eye cream)!

Today I wanted to feature osea
Today I wanted to feature osea’s gorgeous white algae mask . The company is vegan, cruelty free, US made and family owned. . This aims to intensely brighten and plump the skin using white marine algae, white tea, resveratrol, hyaluronic acid, and mineral peptides. All in all, it is extremely antioxidant and moisture-rich. . This mask felt extremely nourishing, gentle, and mildly exfoliating, which was surprising! It doesn’t dry down, so your skin will always feel balanced. There is also no added fragrance, just a delicate organic scent. I used this as a wash off mask after 20 minutes, but it can be used overnight as a brightening treatment! . I’m so interested in more of their line - they have a wide variety for all skin types.

Roller Ball Oil🍈
Roller Ball Oil🍈
I recently tried this OSEA - Essential Hydrating Oil and it totally surprised me! I don’t usually like roller ball products because all I can think of is the bacteria building up 🙃 but especially for this oil, the roller ball makes for such a relaxing and cooling application. This essential oil smells like really strong tea tree. It’s definitely an acquired scent but the oil itself is very luxurious and hydrating. I use it in both the mornings and nights, and my skin has never felt smoother. I rarely have that experience when I use oils. It’s a super lightweight oil yet my skin is deeply nourished and hydrated. Really love this one! #CherieCreator
