SKINCARE SUNDAY: DRY SKIN EDITION 🌵
Happy Sunday to you all! Today I wanted to talk about my experience with Curél Products. Just for reference, I’m a dry, sensitive skinned gal, so I’m always on the hunt for products that will be hydrating without being irritating. Curèl is Japanese Skincare Brand formulated for sensitive skin. All products listed were purchased from Ulta during a sale🤑 I bought a 4 piece trial set for $26 that included the following: Curél - Foaming Facial Wash I feel like this is decent, gentle cleanser that won’t irritate skin. I’m usually terrified of foaming cleansers, since they are usually too harsh, but this one had such a nice lather that didn’t strip my skin terribly. If you’re a makeup or sunscreen wearer, a double cleanse will definitely be necessary if using this, as this doesn’t give you a super deep clean. For me, this is best on no makeup days. I also feel like this would be a good morning cleanser. I gave this a high rating because it’s extremely sensitive, which is great. Curél - Makeup Cleansing Gel I typically use cleansing balms or oils, so this gel was new to me. I didn’t hate it, but I feel like this took so much longer, and required so much more effort than my typical balm or oil. The consistency is so thick and sticky, that it’s hard to move around. It’s not the worst, but not the best. It doesn’t remove eye makeup well, however, so I’m not the biggest fan. Curél - Moisture Facial Lotion Enrich This was a total bust for me. They say to use this as an essence after cleansing but before moisturizing. It’s supposed to enhance the effect of your moisturizer. Well, it did nothing for me. Absolutely nothing. Curél - Intensive Moisture Facial Cream I’m on the fence about this cream. It’s almost a 4 star, but not quite. This is a very lightweight cream, which took me by surprise. I expected it to be much thicker. I’d say it’s fairly hydrating, but not as “intensive” as I thought it would be. I think I would really enjoy this cream in the summer, when my skin is less dry. I can still use this occasionally during the day time, but it’s not hydrating enough for nighttime use. I do think a lot of people would enjoy this though, since it’s lightweight and pretty hydrating. I much prefer the BIODERMA - Hydrabio Crème over this. Just to clarify, the mini jar is the one that came in this set. I bought the regular size one($30) since it was part of the sale. I will save it for summertime. All in all, I am impressed with Curél for being so gentle on sensitive skin. I received zero irritation, redness, tightness, etc. I would definitely recommend Curél to anyone with sensitive, normal and moderately dry skin. Even oily skinned folks could benefit from some of these producers. I think this trial set is a wonderful value and a great way to try Curél. Highly recommend! Any skincare suggestions?😊

Unbelievable challenge! Moisture meter shows $30 face cream beat $228 one!
I have dehydrated sensitive skin; even in Summer, my skin is still as dry as the Sahara Desert! That's why I'm always jealous of girls who have glowing, dewy complexion. I recently tried two well-known J-beauty skincare brands since "mochi skin" is in the latest fashion. The first one is intensive moisture cream from Curel, a famous Japanese drugstore brand founded in 1999. It aims explicitly at dry and sensitive skin. I heard that Curel is the top-selling sensitive skin brand in the Japanese market. This cream can improve your skin's natural barrier function, soothe, and protect skin from dryness according to product introduction. I liked the texture, it's super lightweight, cream-like, and it glides smoothly on my skin, and doesn't even feel like you're wearing any cream on your face! It leaves my skin feeling supple, hydrated, but not with caked-on products. I would recommend to people with very very dry skin like me! The second one is the SK-II moisturizer, which costs more than $200!!! SK-II, also born in Japan, is a famous high-end skincare brand in East Asia and Southeast Asia. Like other luxury skincare brands, it is said that SK-II products are the perfect result of Japanese skin experts applying cutting-edge technology to the development of skincare products. I was trying this out for a while as a nighttime facial cream and finally decided I don't think it's working for me. It is great for keeping certain parts of my skin hydrated and dewy like my forehead and others. But my cheeks are dehydrated, and I always felt like this isn't enough. And the scent of this is just way too overpowering for me! I got the skin moisture meter from my friend, which helped me verify how the moisturizer affected my skin. The meter displays a number from 0 to 99, 0 is the lowest, and 99 is the highest humidity. A result from 0 to 40 indicates that your skin is dry and needs more moisture. You can see the first picture; the number shows that my skin's humidity is only 10.3% before applying skincare products. It increases to 14.2% 30s after I used Cruel cream, but it only rises to 10.9% after applying SK-II. No surprise, I love Curel cream more than SKII, even the last one is much expensive!

Curel Intensive Moisture Milk 🥛
It’s about that time when winter’s cold harsh air is not too uncommon with wreaking havoc on all types of skin. My usual oily skin suddenly was either flaky with dryness one afternoon or just a shiny sheen of excess sebum. The additional use of Tretinoin has also made my skin dryer in this weather. Recently, healing and protecting my skin barrier is most important to combat my irritated reactive skin. Curél - Moisture Facial Milk restores my skin comfort after cleansing and applying acids. My combo/oily skin likes the ceramides this moisturizer offers in improving skin barrier function. It’s also pH balanced which may be restorative after harsh cleansing. The consistency is similar to runny milk and is easily absorbed into the skin. Personally, I started rinsing my face with warm water in the morning and apply either and/or this in the morning depending if I go out and depending on the weather. Sometimes it may be a little rich for a day when my skin produces more sebum so I have minor breakouts, but this product will work especially well for those with dryer skin. I would try out a different product with other skin barrier repair ingredients, but I can see myself repurchasing this product with simple ingredients. Protect your skin barrier this winter!

🌙 Secret to My PM Supple Skin! 🌙
I have combination skin so my t-zone is in the range of normal to oily skin and I have dry skin on my cheeks. My skin tone is warm ivory with a slight reddish discoloration in my cheeks 🧐I also have some freckles (sun spots) across my cheeks and my nose bridge (which bother me!). I also have very sensitive skin so I am alwyas cautious with new products or else my skin will becom super red and peel! 😭 Unlike my am routine (in previous post!), my pm routine is pretty constant and I only change one product in the fall/winter and sping/summer. The products that I use are double cleaners (if needed but I'll only include my second cleanser in this post), facial spray, skin conditioner (toner), two types of different serums and a moisturizer. All of the products that I have included in this review have been reviewed by me before so feel free to go read my previous posts to get all the specifics of the prodcut and how it worked for me! The second cleanser I use is theGlossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser to gently cleanse and refersh my skin. I use this as a second cleanser since it is sooo gentle and I feel like it is just good for prepping my skin for my skincare and it doesn't strip my skin of its oils 👌🏻. The next step is theMARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater I love this product! It has a fragrant smell, the formula is fabulous, and even though it provides such great hydration, my pores don't feel clogged after using it! Another reason why I like this product is because it does not cause irritation or breakouts on my sensitive and combination skin. It also provides great hydration for both face and hair so its extremly versatile. I then use thenaturie - Hatomugi Skin Conditioner which provides enough moisture despite its liquid consistency since it includes hatomugi essence which is rich in vitamins 💊 amino acids and protein. The three musts for tight healthy skin! The next product I use isThe Ordinary - ''Buffet'' This serum because it is good for dryness and I feel like I suffer from dryness more than oiliness. This produt is good for pretty much all types of skin: normal, oily, combination, dry, and most importantly, sensitive skin! Not only does this product help with drynes, it also claims to help with fine lines, wrinkles, dullness, and uneven texture. I've been using this product for about 2 weeks and I feel like its pretty good so far. I like how there is no fragrance and absorbs into my skin pretty well and preps my skin for the next step. Brightening serum and moisturizer. I mix theNeutrogena - Bright Boost Illuminating Serum wtih theCurél - Moisture Facial Milk . The illuninating serum leaves my skin feeling soft and suple with a slight glow ✨ to it but it doesn't really help with my dark spot (still use it thought to finish it). The facial milk is fragrance free and also alcohol free so it doesn’t irritate the skin at all! With only a few pumps my skin feels soft and hydrated 💧.

we love good skin days 😊
I just wanted to make a quick post because my skin was surprisingly good today! I’ve been struggling with my skin for a few months so it was nice to finally have a day when I felt good about my skin. Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been adjusting the products I use and the way I layer to minimize pilling and to reduce stickiness. Today I used these products in this order: 1) LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser I LOVE LOVE LOVE this! I will do a product review soon! 2) PAULA'S CHOICE - Pore-Reducing Toner I tried taking this out of my routine for a bit and I just re-added it to remove some loose skin after I cleansed. 3) Curél - Moisture Facial Lotion Enrich I mix 2 pumps of this with one drop of pure vegetable glycerine and put it on my damp face. 4) The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I’m not sure this has really been working for me but I recently bought THE inkey LIST - Niacinamide Oil Control Serumso I’m excited to see if I will get results. I usually use The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 before the niacinamide serum, but it’s been a little sticky for me lately so I just use it at night. 5) I use my prescription-strength Azelaic Acid. I love this for my hyperpigmentation and redness! 6) The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG 7) CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion This is such a perfect, light moisturizer for both day and night! 8) I finish it off with my FAVORITE sunscreen dear, klairs - Soft Airy UV Essence SPF 50 PA ++++ I mixed this with a drop of tea tree oil and spread it all over my face and neck. Tea tree oil is key for me! It surprisingly gives me a nice glow and helps reduce redness. Again, I’m still playing around with my skincare routine, so sometimes I’ll throw some of these products into my routine: dear, klairs - Fundamental Watery Oil Drop , The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil , CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream , andThe Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 .

Curel VS. Dove, Guess who wins?
Cosmetics products are one of the most popular items to shop in Japan among tourists. Some of affordable products have great value for the price. Among a variety of Japanese skin care products, today, I’d like to compare 2 amazing face cleansing products sold in Japan. Both can be found at drugstores or supermarkets in Japan with inexpensive prices. Curél - Foaming Facial Wash and Dove Cleansing Mousse Rich and delicate foam: Curél Foaming Wash>Dove Cleansing Mousse -Observe the foam of the Curél foaming wash on your palm and you can see that it's rich, delicate, soft and silky. -Observe the foam of the Dove cleansing mousse on your palm. It's also quite soft and silky, but you can see some large bubbles around the edges. Cleansing power: Curél = Dove I applied some lipstick on the back of my hand to test the cleansing ability of these two products. -The Curél foaming wash washed it off in one minute without leaving any traces of lipstick. -The Dove cleaning mousse also had the same effect. Both the 2 products work on me, leaving my skin clean and gentle. 10/10 would RECOMMEND!!!

I’d rather get coal than...
Curel Makeup Cleansing Gel. I love doing my makeup and taking it off at the end of the night is really important. I was looking for a product to double as a cleanser and makeup remover. I am mad because I noticed that this product had not been taking off my mascara and all of my foundation. This cleansing gel has not been working as I thought it would for the past two months so that’s why coal would be more useful. This product has ruined my skin because it hasn’t been able to take off all my makeup so I have been getting so much more acne. I do not want anyone to waste their money on this product.

Curel vs Freeplus Face Wash! Which One is Better for DRY Skin?
Curel vs Freeplus Face Wash! Which One is Better for DRY Skin?
My friend recommended me these two products a long time ago, and I have been using them for a while. I am mostly staying at home these days. So I think it might be good to write about my face washes. Curél - Foaming Facial Wash It dispenses a foamy and delicate lather. It leaves a moisturizing, dewy and comfortable feeling after cleansing with no tightness at all. Even if you don't apply moisturizing lotion immediately afterwards, your skin won't feel dry. Of course, Curél focuses their products on dry and sensitive skin, but it's suitable for all skin types. It has a gentle texture and so is suitable for morning use. I will repurchase this after I finish my facial cleanser at home. Freeplus Mild Moisture Soap Both the Freeplus Mild Moisture Soap and Freeplus Mild Soap (100g) generate fine bubbles. What I like about this moisture soap is that it's really long lasting. I am a heavy user and it lasted me seven to eight months, but it's not convenient to carry around as the bottle is too big. I will repurchase this product.

Sensitive Skin Must Haves & Holy Grails!
Sensitive Skin Must Haves & Holy Grails!
If you have sensitive skin, nothing is more important than moisturizing to soothe, hydrate, and restore skin's dry, compromised barrier.💦💦 I've tries lots of moisturizers and found the 2 that work well with the affordable price tag👍🏼👍🏼 LA ROCHE-POSAY - Cicaplast Baume B5 for Dry Skin Irritations The B5 cream is used to restore sensitive skin and maintain its balance. I didn't really know how to use it at first, and using it on and off showed no results. It also has a thick consistency so I didn't like it very much. It wasn't until autumn that I started seriously applying a thick layer of it every night when I had a allergy flare on my entire face. After a few days, the redness on my face subdued and my chapped skin resulting from having a thin cuticle layer also improved a lot. But please pay attention to the expiry date of B5. It only lasts for 6 months after opening. Curél - Intensive Moisture Facial Cream This is a night cream I'll use when I don't have many skin issues and don't need any allergy repair (since B5 is very thick and feels sticky on my face after applying it). Although my impression towards facial creams is that they're not very refreshing on the face, Curél doesn't seem at all sticky after you gently pat it on.

My Face Cream Awards
My Face Cream Awards
Although I don't have extremely dry skin, I cannot live without face cream in my daily skin care routine. My skin is sensitive, but thank God my skin is not that sensitive. My overall requirement for face cream is soothing the skin, moisturizing and repairing my skin barrier. I've tried many different face cream products. But there are only three products I really like to use. Thanks for their excellent performance and today I want to have an award ceremony for these three products. 🏆Best Skin Relief Award🏆: My skin may have redness due to changes of the weather, and sometimes a little itchy rash may appears . Whenever I encounter these minor problems, I will use this LA MER - LA MER Moisturizing Cream cream. Rub it in the palm of my hand for a while, apply on my face, a little can go a long way! Use it before sleep, and my skin looks better after waking up the next day. 🏆Best Moisturizing Award🏆: This Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Cream from Kielh’s really does the best job on hydrating my skin! I apply it in the morning and my face will not feel dry or dehydrated all day long. Squalin and ceramide ingredients are really good for dry skin problems! 🏆Best Price Award🏆: This $28 Curél - Intensive Moisture Facial Cream is just so cost-effective! Curel is a brand from Japan, and most products owned by this brand are in very good prices. I want to say that J beauty is not lost to the popular K beauty now! If you are interested in brands from other countries, try it out!

My Go-to Facial Moisturizers for Spring/Summer
My Go-to Facial Moisturizers for Spring/Summer
LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Ultra Face Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin The cream texure is suitable for dry skin while the Ultra Fluide is suitable for oily skin. It feels like there's a very thin layer of oil covering my face after applying it, and my skin feels soft and comfortable after waking up the next day. When you're having skin allergies, it's best to use fewer skincare products and apply only basic moisturizing and anti-allergy products. The ingredients of this product are also very safe. It is preservative-free, fragrance-free, colorant-free, alcohol-free and lanolin-free. You can consider this product if you have seasonal allergies. Curél - Intensive Moisture Facial Cream I love how soft this product feels. After I use it at night, it doesn't make my face oily the next morning. It's very moisturizing and is definitely more suitable for summer use. Curél's ingredients are also very mild and it's unscented.

Must Have Face Creams For DRY Skin
Must Have Face Creams For DRY Skin
Gals. I know it is super hard for dry skin during winter. I personally need something rich to moisturize my skin, but I don't want something oily or heavy. So I bought these two face creams. Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Cream I used this almost every single day and night last winter and only switched to another facial cream after I finished the whole 125ml jar. It's very moisturizing and is suitable for severely dry skin. I recommend everyone to buy one for winter use. However, it's not my favorite facial cream. I think it's because it's not airy enough on the skin in that it's not refreshing because of how thick and heavy its texture is for it to be moisturizing. I might repurchase it as it's extremely suitable for severely dry skin in winter. Curél - Intensive Moisture Facial Cream This lightweight moisturizer is just right. It's neither too sticky nor too greasy and is not too airy either. It feels airy-light on the skin and is suitable for sensitive skin. It's intensely refreshing yet moisturizing. I also think that it's absorbed instantly, so it doesn't stay on the skin and leave it feeling greasy. Since I finished using mine in November last year, I'm unsure for now of its moisturizing effect in the driest of winter, so I'll try it out this year. I've already repurchased this product.
